Enigma Final Fantasy (Sandbox; Psychological)

Hey guys, sorry I haven't been able to do anything yet. After reading the general requirements for signing up and whatever, I happen to be in the situation where I can't post any links with examples of my better posts, simply because that I am too new to this site and haven't done any really serious roleplays on here for which I could use as a posting reference. The only other site I have roleplayed on, which I've used far longer than this one, doesn't let people who aren't registered users browse the topics that are posted there. So I will unfortunately be unable to participate until such time as I can provide a reference for the GMs to look at my better posts.

You can also provide links of non-roleplay kind - fanfics or any original stories - you wrote and uploaded on external sites such as FanFiction.Net/FictionPress.com, Wattpad, Archive of Our Own, or even writing blogs if you have one. This roleplay is more to novel than conventional RP style.

Otherwise you can put an excerpt of your best writing and put it in a hider. Also, the sample does not have to be FF-related - can be from any other fandoms or your own original story.

@Redthorn Anvil I'd you go to the actual thread you'll see that one of the already approved CSs hasn't done this as well. Instead, they made a sorry post as example at the bottom of the CS.

Of one person got by with it,I don't see why you can't. It would at least be good to give it a try,IMO.

Uh I am assuming that this is just the way how you usually talk and not being intentionally rude...

Anyway, I am aware of the grammars and typos present in @A Common Hero's sample, but generally the GMs concluded that he is capable of writing decently (most of his CS is pretty alright and he does have a good grasp of Cloud's canon lore).

I'm going to make it clear that we are not showing any favoritism to any particular players. If anyone has issues with how the GMs work, talk to us directly and we'll be happy to help to clarify your doubts.

It's understandable for people to make mistakes, as long as you take initiative to do your own editing even for older posts or when I tell you that you need to proofread your post again you take my advice with grace and not snap at me for being a Nazi. Bottom line is that you show me you do take pride in your own writing and have enough senses not to give me bullcraps, I won't step out of line as GM and interfere with your roleplaying experience.

New Teen Titans - Next Guardians of Jump City

Rune raised her eyebrows at the sight of the newcomer, whom Beast Boy introduced as Kenji. Japanese? So Japan is still around in this era? Besides that, this guy doesn't even look remotely Japanese! She forced down her raging hormones - the urge to jump to her feet and approach him - and winced at her attempt to stand and sit and the same time, which resulted in her falling back onto the hard (not to mention, still freezing cold) concrete ground on her butt. Once she got past the initial attraction, she felt something was off about this flawlessly pretty boy, but she couldn't quite place where this funny feeling came from. Did he just spring out from some video game? He sure seemed like one of those action game heroes...minus the six packs.

"Is there anyone else I should know about, Gar?" Rune peeled her attention away from Kenji and stared at the masked figure clad in blue-black costume instead. She remembered Beast Boy briefly telling her about the Titans - this one was probably Robin, or known as Nightwing now.

"Oh yeah, there's one more." Beast Boy pounded a fist into his open palm. "Dreda. She can turn into birds."

"Is she around here too, by any chance?" Cyborg asked sourly, not quite taking in the current state of the tower with much grace. He didn't want another recruit to come crashing in and throw up more mess than it already was.

"I don't think so. She didn't respond to my call---"

"I don't know," Kenji interrupted uncertainly, standing near the sliding doors to keep them open, his eyes appeared to be looking upwards. Rune thought she heard a metallic undertone in his oddly accented voice. "Isn't it weird to see such a huge flock of black things circling the tower?"

"Wait, what?" Beast Boy dashed to his side, following the boy's gaze. "Of all places - the rooftop?"

"And quite an entrance," the Japanese added, still gaping at whatever's above. Curious, Rune stood up properly this time, going with he rest of the Titans to the door. Indeed, it was quite a sight: a murder of crows blocked the sky in a blur of black, cawing in chorus at something - or someone - at the top of the tower.

Nightwing let out a sigh, but he couldn't stop a small smile from breaking across his face. Trust the new recruits to create a commotion on their orientation day - just like how the original Teen Titans first met each other. He stole a quick glance at Starfire.

Judging from how this haze problem isn't going to go away anytime soon, expect delays to be longer than usual. My posting frequency is going up to bi-weekly basis. (I have so limited time to be online... T_T)

Jumping the multiverse

Welp - apologies for the late response! Been trying to clear RP backlogs accumulated from the delay due to haze in my region...

Anyway.

I kind of like the idea of it almost being a random occurrence. My idea was someone, or something was causing problems in the multiverse and that was leading to rifts where things just sort of spontaneously went from one plain of existence to another.

This reminds me of Dissidia FF, which has a similar concept: the heroes/villains from the various main titles were brought together into an omniworld; the cause of the problem is the fight between Cosmos and Chaos. Something like that?

So the actual quest would be really simple. Hmmmm... What if the guy was attacked by some kind of bandits. The thing is he doesn't really know what they stole since it was kind of like a storage war scenario where he bought all the stuff from an unpaid for storage locker and then one of the people who lost the bid took everything. He doesn't really care about what's in there he just wants us to get the stuff back from whoever stole from him. (He plans on getting revenge on his own.) Since he doesn't know what's in there he won't care about the devices we'll get. Idk, I just like this idea because I can't think of many ways our characters would get devices like the ones we're talking about as a reward for a really simple task.

I'm not trying to say it has to be that simple - it IS a device that allows the user to jump across the parallel worlds freely, of course there must be some decent obstacles that we have to get through to prove themselves worthy to get it.

As for me, I was thinking along the lines of something with a bit of fun: some creature (or bandit) stole an item from one of us - we would chase it to its hideout, where we found out there's a mountainous stash of stolen treasures hidden inside. We would probably met a NPC who was also a victim like us; in exchange for reclaiming back his stolen possession, he would give each of us the device--- Ok, I'm really thinking along the lines of those starter quests in most video/MMO RPGs. ^^;

Also noticed the thread bump in the check - maybe we can get more people to do this together? Tbh this idea works better with more players but maybe keep that to a max of 4?

Just to let you know that I'm not able to be online that often, bi-weekly frequency is the best I can manage for now. If you feel that a 2-week wait is too long then I'm afraid I'll have to really drop this... :/ I cannot keep up with speed-posting, and I like to spend time to do a good IC response rather than churning out a pointless post just to keep the game going on to nowhere.

So sorry if I missed something vital here. When is the game slated to start? I doubt Corporal Lance and I were supposed to start posting already of course, but is there a window we're waiting for? Sorry if I sound impatient.

S'alright - I mean at least I know you're truly hyped up for this roleplay. :P Anyway, I'm actually waiting for @KoL and @Undine to at least send in their CS first then we officially begin - I believe the two of them are currently plowing through school exams or something along this line. Ryu and I might also join in this seeing that we're not gonna get any more dedicated players other than just this few of us, so we might allow you guys to take up another character at later point in the game.

I guess I picked the wrong time to put this up... I noticed that activities around the forum is less busy now compared to the previous months (well back then it's summer vacation for most of you people, and for this month those students would be having papers and tests.)

Also, the haze problem in my region is back again, so I may not be online as often as I would like to. Have to stay at home more (and I don't have internet at home, no point since reception around my house area is seriously bad).

Guess I'm too engrossed with my game (Final Fantasy obviously). Playing it on my mobile while planking at home thanks to the haze.
