Are we expecting too much from newbs?

All in all:

People can be judged on their current writing level (without lowering their true potential, obviously), their general attitude and they way they interact with others, and most importantly, the effort they put in to improve themselves continuously.

Age doesn't denote a person's maturity.

Besides, everyone will grow up and older as years pass by, then a fresh batch of newbies will come along... and the cycle will repeat itself. So, rather than terrorizing the new RPers just because we had a bitter past experience of sorts, we should stop spreading bad habits to the next generation, and always remember that we were also in the same boat as them when we just started RPing years ago.

(There are assholes out there whether we like it or not, but what we can do is just don't be one of them, and don't entertain their idiocy.)

Considering I keep losing my notes (on a variety of mediums) and my browser also breaks down a lot (making me lose tabs that had important things up on them), I definitely know the feeling of wanting to be safe... Like I said, take your time. Just know that I did edit my PM slightly yesterday, so you might want to make sure you're up to date on that.

I'm curious about why you lose your notes so often? For me I'd keep both soft (cloud storage, and USB drive as backup) and hard (in notebook) copies of my project notes, so that I am assured that I don't lose my precious ideas. You also mentioned that your browser crashes a lot - I wonder if it's because you're working your notes on Gdoc? It happens a lot to me and also my other schoolmates when we're doing project reports and stuff, yeah... I dunno.

NaNoWriMo = National Novel Writing Month. Usually in November.

I did the response on Notepad first so I can periodically save it in case my computer crashed or something. That would really suck to lose all the effort I put into the PM...

No, unfortunately - when I just finish one work another 3 more come in to add to my growing pile. At this rate I won't even have time for revision, let alone do much RPing. DX I plan to drop NaNo this year because I already have to much on my plate now.

Just to let you know that my mental health isn't great lately due to a sudden spike in the amount of school work I have to do this two weeks so far, especially with really uncooperative teammates for project work. (Group members are assigned randomly, btw.) Really appreciate your patience with me while I try to clear as much RL work as I can so that they won't eat so much into my online life. >_<
