Current I think watching fight scenes can help in general terms with writing combat, since it can give you an idea of flow and choreography.

At least if you're writing something you know, with knights.

I mean, depends on what you're writing, and the tone and theme of what you're writing. Trained armored knights were legitimately monstrous on the battlefield, so looking up how they fought helps.

As much as there's a lot of reasons twitter sucks, I genuinely don't want to see it die for the sake of all the artists who now rely on it. Hoping the shithead stops trying to directly administrate.

roleplayerguild.com/posts/5… If anyone's up for fighting some kaiju, why not try out my new RP, Godzilla: YATAGARUSU?

Vita

"Chibi?!" snapped Vita, almost immediately. Her already hot temper was boiling far beyond its breaking point already. She was about to ignore anyone else speaking to her and charge off and put him in the ground(literally. He wouldn't die, but he'd be in a crater at least a few meters deep). However, it was at that moment, roughly, that she picked up on... a distress call?! There was a TSAB distress call in this area?! Not only that, but it was a highly recognizable one... the tiny redhead's eyes widened.

"Nanoha?!"

It wasn't mistakable as anyone else, that much was certain. That meant that the other mage(the one that had not so long about been her enemy) was swept up in this incident as well... She'd have to find her. Quickly. But for the moment... that strange man who had run off like a coward. Was he behind this incident? If so, she'd have to pursue him as quickly.

There was no time to waste! If he was the culprit that meant tracking him down would solve the problem immediately! She could rendezvous with Nanoha as soon as possible. But with the possible one behind this incident within her grasp... Without responding to the other two, Vita was off like a shot, in hot pursuit of the fleeing man.

"Get ready, Eisen!" she shouted.

"Yes sir!" intoned the Armed Device.

Mordred

Clarent swept upwards the moment the moths appeared, the force of the resulting slash causing the insects to practically disintegrate on impact.

"A true knight's not gonna to let a half-assed mothman beat her!" she declared, only realizing he had taken to the air moments after releasing the pair of moths. Hah! As if she was going to fall for that! Still bearing a rather vicious grin, the blonde-haired knight immediately rolled to the side, allowing the blade to strike the spot she'd just occupied, biting into the earth beneath her opponent. Rising on her knees, she decided not to give him a chance to recover or attack again, tossing Clarent to her other hand. Suddenly, with a clanking sound, her helmet slid upwards. The individual parts shifted and moved, assembling a rather intimidating shape that instantly struck a distinctive silhouette as it encased her head, bearing a pair of large, sharp horns even as Mordred launched herself forward. Her freed right hand tore towards her opponent's weapon in a bid to keep her enemy from dislodging his sword from the earth...

As the 'true knight' rather uncouthly hurled herself forward in order to deliver a horned headbutt directly to the moth man's torso.

I'm going to make one more post with Mordred and then wait for a response from Nanoha, it just makes sense for her to be able to react quickly to this specific attack. ^^;
@KoL: I can't remember, um, would Vita be able to figure out who it is sending the distress call or not?

It's been a while since I watched Nanoha. ^^;
Mordred

That was the perpetrator. The enemy. Mordred glared as he introduced himself. That kind of bastard that would just release poison anywhere where someone could get hurt by it... Oh yeah, she was going to crush him the second she got a chance. But demons? What did anyone here have to do with demons? No-one, as far as she could tell. What, was he so stupid he thought vampires were demons? What an idiot. Before she could call him as such, however, he suddenly lashed out and attacked her...!

Steel clashed on steel. Mordred grinned. It hadn't been too shocking. She'd fought plenty before. What kind of self-respecting knight would ever allow herself to be taken by surprise by an obvious enemy?! Gripping Clarent with both hands, now, the Red Knight grinned as she took a step forward, her armored foot crashing down onto the ground. Her grin grew wider, more vicious, as she pressed her might against the enemy's blade, Prana Burst driving her physical strength far higher then it appeared it should be... And with a flash of what looked like red lightning, Mordred smashed the enemy's blade aside.

"If you pick a fight with me, it's not my fault if you're crushed! Like hell I'll hand it over to you, so bastard!"

What kind of an idiot was he?

Saber - Arturia Pendragon

The raging current of air quelled, spinning to a stop and briefly seeming to dissipate, for a split second revealing the golden glow of the blade beneath before returning to its original state, simply an invisible field hiding the form of her weapon. Saber nodded quietly to herself. A peaceful surrender and a solid victory that obtained for them a crew.

"It's undeniable that your surrender was the best choice you could have made," the blonde knight said, addressing the pirates with a nod. With that, she turned towards the smaller boat nearby and approached it. Gently, carefully, putting on a slight smile as she did, she took her Master's hand and helped her move from the smaller vessel to the larger one.

However, the moment Bethany was on-board, her stern expression returned.

"You should rest immediately, Bethany," Saber declared, "There is no guarantee you will have another chance to do so, so it is best for you to do so now."

@Frettzo: Alright!
@Frettzo: Yes, it is.
I'll send it along later when I get the chance!
Oh right I almost forgot.

Fujioka Chisame

There. There was the man she was looking for. The saboteur who was her target. He was packing some form of explosive away, which meant that Chisame had no time to lose. Quickly putting her spyglass away, the diminutive assassin took a step back and swiftly looked over her options. The doors and windows were too obvious, and someone skilled with sabotage would almost definitely have trapped them... but the old building had one avenue of entry that was difficult to address.

The chimney.

Taking a deep breath, the black-haired girl sprang into the air. Her hands moved swiftly, blurring as she performed the required motions. As far as Chisame knew, the origin of this method of casting the spell had been found in kuji-kiri, and she had taken to it quite quickly. With a barely-audible sound that sounded just like a slight gust of wind, a grey, shimmering platform appeared beneath her feet at the apex of her jump, for just long enough for her to jump once more.

After a second casting of the spell, the girl alighted on the roof without a sound. Perfect.

After only a moments pause, she made a beeline for the chimney and sprang into it, her tiny frame easily slipping down the narrow path of entry. She braced one foot against the wall and her back against its opposite, allowing her to slow her descent and land easily. It was a narrow, dark space, but it was a difficult one to address when it came to setting traps.

She had entered and empty living area. There was nothing left here, but certainly that didn't mean there was nothing hidden.

Chisame unsheathed her katana. She had to be ready...!
