I mean, depends on what you're writing, and the tone and theme of what you're writing. Trained armored knights were legitimately monstrous on the battlefield, so looking up how they fought helps.

As much as there's a lot of reasons twitter sucks, I genuinely don't want to see it die for the sake of all the artists who now rely on it. Hoping the shithead stops trying to directly administrate.

Mordred eyed the girl who had stepped forward. She seemed silent for a moment as Nanoha spoke. What was she going on about, anyway? Fictional? Hah, how was that even possible? There was no way anyone here was fictional. It was nonsense that you would be able to summon something truly fictional. Wouldn't the act of summoning it make it exist, anyway? Whatever. She didn't care. What mattered was what was going on right now, and-
"W-wait, does that mean you're really Mordred?!"
The soldier was looking right at her, now.
"... Well, of course I-"
Before Mordred could continue, the girl seemed to explode.
"I SPENT SO MUCH SAINT QUARTZ TO GET YOU!" she declared, leaving the blonde knight in stunned silence for a moment, "I rolled and rolled and when I got you I was so happy I almost died! Aaaah, the way you say 'teiku zhatto yuu-..."
The other soldiers were all staring at her. Mordred found herself staring too. The girl's cheeks were bright pink, and she swallowed after a moment and composed herself, taking a deep breath.
"I-I'm not sure what's going on, but you're all from works of fiction in our world," she said, continuing as if she had not made such an outrageous outburst. "I don't know how this could have happened, but... could it be you're all from other worlds?"

Yes, but on the other hand a character like Raziel is not going to be able to function as anything aside from an antagonist due to the whole "eats people's souls" thing.
Like, conflict is obviously a good thing for something like this but on the other hand you can't have someone on the more heroic side who the other more heroic would want nothing to do with and most would absolutely think deserves to be taken down(nonlethally or lethally it would vary from character to character).
There's no real reason for "well we don't like it but we have to work with them" here.

The small girl let out a huff. The new candidate had gathered quite a crowd, some of them rather unsavory types from what she could tell. But her, she was here just to see what was going on. She folded her arms firmly across her chest as she regarded him. One of the dragon kind, from what she could tell. The crowd his arrival had drawn drew with it some types she confessed she didn't find particularly savory... and for his part, he looked average.
Ima huffed.
He wasn't impressive, but he wasn't some obviously-malignant monster or something either. Still, that didn't mean he wasn't ill-intentioned either... or potentially worse, a well-meaning idiot. To be frank, the demon girl wasn't exactly certain how she felt about this whole system of selecting an heir in general. But regardless of anything else, the black-haired girl was certain she would keep an eye on anyone who declared themselves a candidate around here. If they weren't worthy of the title in her eyes, she'd let them know!
Ignoring, well, anyone else who had approached him(her words were clearly the most important in this situation, after all), Ima marched right up to the man, shifting her hands to her hips.
"If you prove yourself unworthy of this position as a candidate for our kingship, I won't hesitate!" she declared.
That, she felt, just about covered it. She ignored the mage, the... orc? And, well... anyone else. For now, at least.

That's a blank slate character who doesn't qualify for this RP. ^^;
Konpaku Youmu
Youmu nodded, before leaping up and over the vehicle and proceeding on her chase. She felt a little guilt at the fact that there wasn't much she could do to help those people... but stopping those rampaging men was more urgent when there was someone else who could help! Her shoes clacking as they hit the hard, stony ground. That looked like the same vehicle she had been in pursuit of! ... But it was sitting still and empty. Up ahead there were a lot of people moving out of the way or something... and then it became clear what was happening when she saw someone go flying through the air and hit a wall. The white-haired girl resumed her chase, and in moments the men came into view once more.
Of course, she was expecting a fight, and was already prepared... but there were an awful lot of people here. Even if the danmaku wouldn't harm them, Youmu felt suddenly uncertain about unleashing a torrent of magical bullets when it would be so easy to hit someone uninvolved. They'd be fine, of course, but...
So instead, she did the next thing that came to mind.
"STOOOOOOOP!"
Even as she spoke, the small girl raised Roukanken and prepared to bring it down on the first of the men. Still applying the nonlethality of danmaku to her blade, it wouldn't kill him, but it would certainly bring him down...!

@Rockin Strings: Justifying an orc or half-orc in this setting is pretty difficult. ^^; In fact, the former is literally impossible.
