I mean, depends on what you're writing, and the tone and theme of what you're writing. Trained armored knights were legitimately monstrous on the battlefield, so looking up how they fought helps.

As much as there's a lot of reasons twitter sucks, I genuinely don't want to see it die for the sake of all the artists who now rely on it. Hoping the shithead stops trying to directly administrate.

@Lucky: I'm not going to pass judgement yet, since it's late. But I'm going to quickly point out that the "soul" used for creating a homunculus isn't the conscious part of it. Rather, it's the "life force".
Technically you can probably get this "life force" from any number of things, but the easiest way is from the body of someone recently dead. Visits to morgues are common when someone wants to make a homunculus.

@Timemaster: That personality doesn't really give too good of an idea of what she's like, and again I do need to point out this is not fantasy, it's urban fantasy taking place in our modern world. Or at least a version of it with secret magic.

@Rabidporcupine: Rather then simply the use of his affinity, that seems more like a Magic Trait, and I do want a little more of an idea of what the limitations are since it has the potential to be on the broken side.
