Most of you guys probably dont know me so just to explain why I suddenly post a CS here out of nowhere... Well I've been contacting the GMs via PMs about it.
Anyway, considering the deadline is closing in I decided that now would be a reasonable time to post my CS in the OoC and say hello to you all!
So... Hello!

(The faceclaim is pretty accurate, I will just give a brief rundown here of the details)
Scarlett stands at a respectable 6’2, making her taller than the average girl. Her body is pretty well trained, with well defined, yet not too bulky, muscles covering her tall frame. Combine that with her mohawk and what you have is a girl who easily stands out in a crowd. While not ugly, Scarlett doesn't really have anything which you could describe as being outstandingly pretty except for maybe her eyes which have a reddish color. Something not a lot of people know is that she has a rather big scar on her back, a Beowulf clawmark.
She tends to prefer more practical clothing over fashionable ones. So if she had to pick between cargo pants or a skirt, she would most likely pick the former. Hoodies, tank tops and sturdy boots are her thing! Having said that, just because she prefers these clothes doesn't mean that she’ll avoid wearing fancy clothes for a special occasion.

Scarlett is an energetic and upbeat young girl who is determined to make the world a better place. Being a real people’s person, she enjoys being around others and meeting new people, hopefully making some new friends in the process. Scarlett easily gets attached to people and will be very protective of those who are in danger, especially when they are her friends or when they are very young. Needless to say, she hates those who harm, exploit or threaten others. Scarlett also loves food… A lot. She has a monstrous appetite which almost seems insatiable. When she has food, no matter how bad it tastes, she’ll gladly eat it.
Born as the eldest daughter of a pair of musicians, Scarlett grew up in a peaceful village at the southern edge of the island of Patch. Being the eldest of five siblings and with her parents having to work pretty much all day, Scarlett took on the role of the responsible big sis at a very early age.
While their parents weren't wealthy, they never wanted their children to lack anything. From a young age their parents taught them how to make music. On her tenth birthday Scarlett’s father gave her a guitar and she instantly fell in love with it. She called her guitar “Warm Heart” because of the feeling she got from playing it and it allowed her to express herself in her own way, to “empty her heart”.
For a long time the Roth family lived happily on Patch. Scarlett and her family were living a peaceful life and she and her siblings even planned to form a band. But, as is sadly too often the case, all good things must come to an end. Due to a combination of circumstances she was unable to pursue this dream and instead enrolled into Signal, using all of the money she had to pay the enlistment fee. It was at Signal where her semblance manifested, she started to develop her body and skills to be more suitable for the life of a future huntress and where she converted her guitar into her weapon which she renamed into “Crimson Heart”.
Scarlett passed Signal with flying colours. While she wasn't the ace of her class, her grades were enough to get her a ticket into Beacon so she was happy with the final result.
Crimson Heart.
At first glance this guitar looks just like a regular guitar, maybe a bit more stylised and heavier than most. However, once you get close to it and can make out the details you will find out that this guitar is actually quite a dangerous weapon for both ranged and close quarters engagements.
The frame is made of a very sturdy material, making it able to absorb quite an amount of punishment. The long edge of the body has a retractable blade which is razor sharp, giving Scarlett the ability to use her guitar as a two-handed axe in close combat.
However, the true power of her weapon lies in ranged combat. The neck of the guitar, while partially serving as a grip for when she uses the axe form, actually houses six small calibre rifled barrels. Each barrel is triggered by the individual string running parallel to it. This means that if she plays at a very high pace, she’s basically wielding a machine gun. That being said, the calibre of the barrels is quite small and so a thick piece of cover or good quality armour will probably negate most if not all of the damage. The ammo, which consists out of dust projectiles, is stored in the lower half of Crimson Heart’s body.
The Banshee’s Scream.
Scarlett’s semblance is actually fairly easy to explain. What it all comes down to is that she screams… really, really loudly. So loud in fact that it generates shockwaves which can blast humans off of their feet as well as smaller forms of Grimm. Larger Grimm are not impervious to this either. While they won't be blasted back like their smaller cousins they will at least be slowed down by the force of the shockwaves. And if their ears are very close to her mouth… well, that’s gonna cause a lot of damage.
The shockwave forms in the shape of a cone wherever Scarlett is pointing her mouth to at that moment. People who stand behind her are safe to the damaging effects and don't risk any ear trauma. All the force is aimed directly ahead.
Scarlett can also use her semblance in a less devastating way. In this way she just amplifies her own voice, basically giving the effect of a megaphone.
Is able to fight at all distances at reasonable efficiency.
Her weapon and semblance give her a great way to dispose of large groups of lightly armoured enemies as well as harassing/slowing bigger threats.
Scarlett is pretty strong and nimble, giving her the ability to quickly dish out quite a bit of punishment, even when she isn't armed.
Having cared for her siblings for so long, Scarlett has learned a couple of things about patching up injuries, giving her the ability to help wounded companions.
While able to fight at long and close range, she is not specialised and thus is at a disadvantage when facing someone who does have a specialisation.
Can only fire as quick as she can pluck the strings. If she is tired or something is wrong with her hand/fingers this will greatly affect her rate of fire.
Is quite gullible as she will always assume that people want to help each other.
Scarlett lives in the moment, this makes her prone to rush into action without really forming a solid plan.
She is very afraid of hurting innocents or allies and so she will hesitate to use her weapon and semblance when allies are in her field of fire.
Her semblance works through sound waves originating from her vocal cords. So if you manage to get her mouth shut her semblance is useless. If she uses it too much/intensely it will cause serious damage to her vocal cords which might result in temporary loss of her voice. And it’s a scream, so eventually she will have to catch a breath, giving her opponent the chance to recover.

However, ever since she had been enrolled into Signal Scarlett had developed an interest in personal fitness and combat sports. While certainly not a pro in this, she still continues to practice it when she has some time off.
