"You know, my math isn’t up to your level, Tony, but I at least know that nine is more than six.”

The day was breaking through the hills and shining its rays down on a pristine complex that had broken ground only a few days ago. Walls of bright white, the sight of a familiar logo boldly emblazoned on the side and even a retractable helipad on the roof where just underneath a state of the art jet no doubt waited for a chance to be used. Though miles away from any populated area, for their safety as much as security, the complex in question was a familiar sight - only for most they were used to seeing it on the other side of the continent.

The Avengers had been busy, expanding to the west coast with a shiny new facility for training and living with the bill footed by none other than Tony Stark himself. Whether the idea was his or Steve Rogers’s, both household names and both very concerned with the lack of coast to coast coverage, was irrelevant. They both agreed that in light of recent events and with a number of young, misguided, untrained or otherwise unknown youths with both the abilities and the lack of sense to use them appropriately that a team should be formed. Westchester had their school for gifted youths, and though this was hardly a formal school the principle was similar. So many people wanted to be heroes, and those who thought they could be the next Captain America wouldn’t stick around waiting for an invitation.

And yet, that’s exactly what happened.

Steve and Tony, with their commitments, tapped Carol Danvers to be the mentor of this west coast branch of the Avengers - which Carol agreed to with some hesitation and before Tony let slip that her charges were more than just inexperienced. They were basically children.

Today marked the day that the selected few would be arriving and Carol had managed to catch the fact that her dossiers were a bit heavier than normal. She didn’t want to play the blame game but rules existed for a reason and one of her rules was that the team, given the young ages, couldn’t be the size of an actual classroom. The three Avengers were in the situation room, instead of a holo projection of a globe, there were nine files on screen with Carol standing at the head of the table, her hands palm-flat on the surface and her stance selling her short temperament where her otherwise normal voice was selling her annoyance.

"It’s bad enough that you weren’t totally honest with me at the start, and maybe I’ll even come to enjoy the west coast, but I said six and I meant six. Do you not see the problem here?”

“Well, actually, Care Bear. It’s closer to, uh, ten. Just paperwork hangups and such, you’re military. You know how it is. If we’re lucky, it should be settled by the time we close the meeting. But hey, who’s counting?” Across the table, Tony Stark winked at his friend and cracked a smile. “It’s not my fault that so many viable people applied. I didn’t even know some of these people existed, but we can’t just tell them no, we kinda need the extra help.” He didn’t understand why he was being attacked; he built her a whole building, completely up to her specs. He’d even let her pick the interior colors.

And now he was being yelled at because they’d gotten so many people who seemed like they’d be a good fit for the team. Some of them even came with personal recommendations from their Avengers team members. “Look, if you tilt your head… to just… the right angle. That nine becomes a six.” Tony explained, demonstrating for Carol’s sake before a hand was on his shoulder.

“Tony. Just don’t.” Steve Roger’s voice filled the room, as calm and as confident as ever. Tony shrugged his shoulders and leaned back in his chair, while Steve took the floor. “Carol. Why don’t you just pick out who we discuss first? That is the point of this meeting, right?”

Ten? Tony was fortunate that he was out of reach because Carol could have easily punched him for that; it wouldn’t have been fair, he wasn’t in his suit, but the intent was there. Somewhere behind her gaze. It was easy for him to be glib. He didn’t have to actually spend time with ten teenagers. More to the point, he called her Care Bear. He only did that when he knew her mood was turning south.

Fortunately the other Captain in the room knew when to intervene. Good to know the army taught him one useful skill.

"I guess we’ll start here.” Carol tapped a name on the tabletop monitor and a dossier read-up displayed in front of the trio. The picture was of a brown haired girl with violet eyes, which swapped between a photo of the same girl in a black jumpsuit. "I’m surprised Westchester didn’t swoop in, but I guess their jet only has so much fuel. Carol took a moment to re-read through the information gathered; it was good to have friends in high places sometimes. "I looked into her family but turns out the Pride weren’t big on book keeping. I guess none of her friends wanted to keep the team going, though losing someone can be hard for team composition. Of everyone, I think she might take to the team dynamic the best. Plus,”

Carol turned her attention to Steve for a moment, a wry smirk preceding her statement. "She might punch harder than you, Army.”

“Have you ever been punched by him? Because he hits pretty hard —” Tony’s tirade was cut short again by the raised hand of the voice of reason. Tony shook his head, but let Steve have the floor. Love him or hate him, it was hard to tell him no. Usually, it was better to just let him speak.

“I spoke with Scott. He said he doesn’t exactly want someone related to the Pride involved with them, at least not right this second. Personally, I think she’s a very good option for our team. She already has team experience, and that’s one step further than the rest of them. She’s a little young though… Luckily, Carol is gonna be there to make sure the others take her seriously.” Steve started his statement looking at Tony, but by the end of it his attentions were focused on Carol once more. This, shortly, would prove to be a mistake.

“J.A.R.V.I.S.? Change Molly Hayes’s file. Her callsign should be ‘Princess Powerful.’” Tony piped up again, ignoring his two comrades for a moment as he looked at the file in front of him.

“Absolutely do not do that.”

"So. Hayes is in. Moving on.” Another push of a button and Molly Hayes was added to the accepted bin and in her place was the dossier of a black haired girl with a purple costume and a quiver of arrows on her back. "Barton knows this isn’t a fraternity, right? Just because she has the name doesn’t mean she gets in.” That was a statement she had to make to someone else she knew with a legacy name just itching to be put on a team with the pedigree of the Avengers. It still applied to Kate Bishop.

"I’m not trying to discount Clint’s recommendation but there’s a reason ‘brash’ is in red and triplicate. The ‘A’ on the building doesn’t stand for arrogant. Give me a reason why she stays.”

“Right, uhm… have you seen her costume, Carol? Because that seems like a good enough reason to me.” Tony spoke up again, with a statement that was something only he would say. Of course Tony was going to hit on the recruits, why wouldn’t he? ‘Billionaire playboy’ was on his resume.

"This is why you’re going back to New York. When you do, say hi to Pepper for me.” Carol all but rolled her eyes as she turned to Steve for his insight, which was sure to at least be pertinent to the matter at hand.

“Well… Hawkeye’s recommendation shouldn’t be dismissed that easily. Clint is one of the best soldiers I’ve ever met, and he’s almost definitely in the top ten as far as characters go. If he’s willing to stick his neck out for her, then there’s obviously something there. If she can keep up with Clint, she can keep up with us. If she’s half the person Clint is, then it’d be a mistake to discard her just because she’s brash. It’s ultimately up to you, Carol, but we’ve all seen the tapes. She’s capable. Maybe she’s earned a bit of overconfidence.” Steve’s statement closed, and the dead air was filled with Tony clicking his tongue, speaking again.

“Also, she has Barton’s dog. We can’t just leave her on the streets.”

"Chewie’s not gonna like that.” Carol sighed after Steve’s response; when he was right, he was right. She’d seen the footage and Carol’s first thought was that vigilante’s rarely get the chance to put their abilities to use for good causes. Kate was one of the fortunate ones, as far as vigilantism went. Carol could handle with arrogance - hell she was friends with Tony Stark (but would never tell him that. To his face) - it was when arrogance became belief that teams weren’t necessary that complications arose.

"Fine. Bishop’s in. But Lucky better be house trained.” With a few simple keystrokes, the roster grew to two and in place of Kate were two dossiers, one of a black and red clad male and one of a girl in white and black, both with a clear spider motif. "I think every borough in New York has a Spider, it’s only fair that this coast gets a Spider too. Ours has a kill count, though we’ll keep that to just the one.”

“Right. Well, we know how Spiders are, right? I don’t see any reason to deny them. I’ve met quite a few Spiders… I think something in the gene makes them inherently good.” Tony shrugged his shoulders and leaned forward to dismiss his file, before he was again stopped by a hand on his shoulder from Steve, and he glanced over at him. “What now, Cap?”

“Come on. They’re individuals, they aren’t just ‘Spiders.’ We should analyze both their profiles together, it’s not fair to them if we don’t give them both an equal chance. Even if Spiders have a good track record… who knows? Let’s look for the finer details, that’s why we’re here.” Steve was very much the voice of reason in this group, making sure that they treated everyone fairly.

"Are you sure about that, Steve? Look at the facts. They’re both from New York, their abilities are similar, they’ve been in costume for similar lengths of time. Though I admit, Miles’ invisibility could come in handy and Sarah’s strength ceiling is impressive. They’re both kids in a bit over their head but they aren’t giving me immediate red flags. Who knows, they might work well with a team. God knows Parker did.” Carol ultimately had final say and didn’t feel the need to discuss the Spiders further. They might both have been able to do whatever a spider could, but they were unique enough to where Carol didn’t feel like having both was overkill.

With the Spiders added to the pile, they were replaced by a leather jacket wearing male with flames where his hair should be. "Is anyone else noticing a trend? Need I remind you that this isn’t some kind of hostel for troubled youths. We’re the Avengers. I don’t want the lawn to be ruined by someone doing burnouts over the grass. I’m not convinced he’s exactly a team player, but I can’t know for sure because this is the first I’ve even heard of the guy. Some experience would’ve been nice, but all I know about this guy is that he’s a momma’s boy.”

“Well, he’s a local hand. The idea is he can tell the other kids where to get pizza, you know? Or something like that. To be honest, I’m not sure how he made it through the screen process… why don’t we just go ahead and…” Tony reached out to toss the application in the trash, but he was again stopped by the sound of Steve Rogers clearing his throat. Tony glanced over at the Captain and shook his head. “Jesus, you’re a buzzkill tonight. I thought Carol was bad enough when I wanted to hit on the hotter Hawkeye. How are you gonna defend the kid who sold his soul to the devil for a shitty Civic?”

“I’m not sure I can sell you on his decision making. I can’t. No one could. How can you convince the good guys that making a deal like that with the ultimate bad guy is good decision making? It can’t be done. But you know what? Maybe I can defend his sense of… I don’t know, morality. Listen, he came to us. He’s new to his powers. He probably wants help, guidance. We can give that to him. Tell me, would you rather him stand with us once he learns to use his powers, or would you rather be on the other side, jaded and angry because the only people who could help him threw him out because he made a bad call?”

"There’s the Army in you again. Much like them, you’ll take anybody with two feet.” Carol sighed, something she figured would be common place in the days to come, and put Diego’s file in the middle, next to the four that had been slotted into a different section. "I guess this is what the probation period is for. I’m putting him through, but with eyes on him. Call me paranoid, but I don’t like to dance with devils.”

The next dossier was a red haired woman with a very green outfit and though it didn’t come, Carol’s sigh was basically implied. "Look, I get that spandex and tights can be form fitting but we’re not saving the world by looking pretty. I’m starting to see why Xavier’s had a dress code. The bad thing is I can’t see anything else to complain about. She’s not exactly prolific but that’s good for us. Hopefully we don’t wind up answering a call in the desert.” There was a pause before Carol looked towards the billionaire in the room.

"I suppose you’re fine with the costume?”

“What? Of course not. It’s impractical at best. It doesn’t provide any defense at all. She’s gonna be exposed, like a nerve. ...I’m just kidding, of course I dig it. It is impractical, but visually? Woof.” Tony shrugged his shoulders, before he kept talking. “Your tower is in San Francisco, you’re gonna be hard pressed to find desert without going south for a few hours… You should be safe.”

Carol placed Penny in the list with Molly, the Spiders, and Hawkeye and didn’t bring up the next dossier right away. "For the record, that’s six.” The next dossier was a dark haired boy from Portland and his new best friend - a helmet. "Here’s someone I have high hopes for, and if the Nova Corps deemed him acceptable enough then who am I to judge. He seems like a good kid, maybe in over his head, but so was I - and that was before I even knew what the hell a Kree was. I’m going to keep an eye on him, keep his head from exploding. And then there were two.”

Reese was added to the mix and the penultimate dossier replaced him. A tall, bulky brute of a figure with specs on his picture rather than the most recent vitals. "Well, if nothing else we might have A.I.M. knocking at our door. I’ll admit, I’m still a bit iffy about...him? I guess it’s him. Tony, you’re the A.I. expert here, what do you think?”

“I’ve already met him. Lazlo is in, trust me. He’s got a lot of room for growth. Right now? He’s a bit… eh, distant. But he’s a kid, and he’ll grow and learn here, interacting with people that are his ‘age.’ It’s either us, S.H.I.E.L.D., or A.I.M… and I’d much rather it be us. Maria might be monitoring a bit, but for the most part? I’ve turned S.H.I.E.L.D. off of him, but A.I.M. might still be annoying. Nothing you can’t handle. Don’t forget Carol. if you need to step in? Step in.” Tony was maybe a little defensive over this one. It was on his suggestion that Lazlo was even in their list, but he had a good feeling about the guy. And usually… Tony’s good feelings were on point.

There was that one time with Ultron, but they tended not to talk about that.

“I have to agree. Whatever you want to call it: raising, teaching, training… We’re building the future of the Avengers, and the future of Earth’s mightiest heroes. We should let in anyone who has potential.”

"Alright, then he’s in. Guess it wouldn’t be the Avengers without someone mechanical….armored suit...synthoid...some intern in the tech lab. And mighty number nine…” The final dossier Carol had was now displayed. The familiar attire of a certain guardian of Wakanda, though the person behind it was not the one they were all familiar with. "First of all I’m glad Wakanda doesn’t blame us for T’Challa’s virus, and second I consider this a rather massive olive branch. We’ve had a good relationship with T’Challa so with any luck, T’Zarri will benefit from his time here. I just hope he realizes that we’re about twenty hours away from Wakanda and his lineage doesn’t impress me.”

Carol saw no reason not to accept him. It was good for the continued cooperation of the Avengers and Wakanda. What they didn’t tell the citizens about heroism is that sometimes international politics played a key role. Fortunately if Golden Jaguar was half as good as his uncle, he’d do alright.

"So, is that everyone or did you want to spring more on me? Maybe if I squint an ‘8’ will look like a crudely drawn 5 and 7.”

“When the paperwork for the last applicant goes through, you’ll be the first one to know, Care Bear. I’ll send Rhodey your love. I gotta go back to work. Only one of us can spend time with the kids. I’m happy to report it’s the cute one.” Tony was already standing up and ready to rock and roll. He had business to get back to.

“Thank you, Major Danvers. They really couldn’t ask for a better mentor than you.” Steve stood up and walked across the table and held his hand out to Carol. “I know this isn’t the most fun assignment we’ve ever asked you to take on, but it means the world you took it.”

“And with only minimal complaining!”

"We’re not...Rhodes and I...it was..” Carol knew there was no good way down the street she was on and the last thing she wanted was for Tony to use that against her. He had a tendency to gloat often. Whatever was going on between her and the Lieutenant colonel was their business - and with the distance it wasn’t as if anything was going on presently anyway. "You do that, Tony.” It wasn’t like her to even get flustered, mild though it was. She wouldn’t let it happen in front of the kids.

"You know Captain Rogers, I could technically pull rank and get myself out of this assignment.” Carol did so relish the chance to mention the technicalities of their collective military ranks - not that it mattered much when the world was at risk. She accepted the handshake with a firm grip and a sincere smile. "But if we want something done right, we don’t send the Army.”

The half-serious moment between the two military ones didn’t last very long, as Tony Stark was quick to step over to the group and push himself inbetween them. He put an arm around each shoulder, and grinned. “Parental group selfie! We just adopted nine kids guys. Hopefully they give us something to be proud of.” Then, he quickly backed away from the pair, as he simultaneously pulled his sunglasses off of his shirt, and put them on his face. “That picture is going on the Instagram page. Do we even have one? We’re going to.”

The story is beginning on moving day. Your characters have their key cards, and are arriving, and getting situated in their new home and with their new team. It’s a time of introductions and possibly flexing powers. Get used to each other, for at least the next six months, this is your new family.

Molly woke up, laying on her hostel bed. It was strange not following her usual school routine, but today was the day it was beginning. Her attempts to become a full-fledged solo Superhero had attracted the attention of the Avengers, and mere days ago, they had contacted her. She was...not quite going to be a full-fledged Avenger, but become part of a younger, more inexperienced team. Like, a sort of 'Young Avengers'. It was going to be nice to be part of a team again, and this one, a team of actual, dedicated crime-fighting costumed Superheroes. The real deal! Not that she didn't like being in the Runaways but those her her friends, and that was her gang. This, however, was her dream job. Not quite the same thing.

After getting up, getting showered, and getting dressed, Molly called a cab, and had them take her to about twenty minutes walk from the Complex. She wasn't sure how discreet she should be but it didn't hurt to play it safe. After running the rest of the way carrying three large suitcases containing everything she owned slung casually over her shoulder like they collectively weighed nothing, she reached the front doors, and used her keycard to get in. The doors were huge! As was the foyer! Molly stood in total awe, gazing at every corner at the room she had entered. She hadn't been anywhere this big or expensive looking in four years. Man....Superheroes were awesome.

Avengers Compound, San Francisco, CA
Interacting With: No one
Feeling: Hesitant

When Penny had gotten the call, she did not know what to think and now that she is standing in front of the Avengers Compound, she still did not know to think. Before she entered the establishment in front of her, she let out a heavy sigh. Penny was obviously wondering to herself as to why she had gotten a call and also wondered who else she might encounter whenever she entered. Penny mustered up some strength and boasted her head, along with her chest, high as she walked into the building now with her rolling suitcase trailing behind her.

Upon her entrance, she stopped and knelt down to unzip a small pocket upon her bag, retrieving her key card. She stood back up then flipped her red-orange before continuing onward. The building was really huge as her eyes twinkled with slight amazement and amusement. Penny liked what she saw so far within the establishment then waltzed over to the elevator and pressed the button for the proper floor.

The elevator doors rolled open and she took a step out then wandered around for a minute before she reached her room. She inhaled and exhaled before she scanned her key card and heard a beep. She twisted the knob of the door and walked right on into the room as a brow raised because she was a little bit unhappy with what she was seeing.

A bed? That's it? Penny thought to herself as she scoffed with an eye roll while she walked further into the room now. She knelt down again and unzipped her suitcase, pulling out three potted plants. Penny sat them in three different places as she flicked her fingers while speaking. "Grow for me, my darlings." She said as the potted plants started to sprout, breaking the pots they were currently placed in just a little.

Once her plants were done sprouting and she was satisfied with the way her room was looking, Penny then remembered that she had just some money as she tapped her chin with her index finger. Hm. Her lips curved into a slight smirk. Looks like it is time to go shopping. She said as she exited her room. She did not go shopping right away though, instead, she decided to roam around the halls before doing so. Just in case anyone might've wanted to join her.

? ??, Present Day | 9:30 A.M. | California

Miles sat in the back seat; Jefferson, his father, and Gloria, his mother, sat in the front. Mushed beneath luggage: dufflebags, suitcases, laundry baskets, Miles found no comfort and was sitting in quite an awkward position. As they passed through the city, Jefferson turned down the radio and twisted around in the front seat,

“Miles.” Miles had his headphones in, eyes closed.

“Miles!” his eyes shot open, he pulled the earphones out, an eyebrow raised at his father’s beckon. He was sure he had not done anything wrong, though his list of things he had probably done was much longer than he could likely remember.

“S’up?”
“Don’t ‘s’up’ me, boy.”
“Yes, sir!” Miles saluted,
“Miles.” Jefferson’s tone was flat, Miles knew.

“So, this new school you’re going to, I don’t want Tony Stark calling my phone talking about you’ve been acting up, hear me? You ran me and your mother ragged the last time you were in school and if we have to come up here to collect you, neither one of us are going to be happy about it. Understood?”

“Yeah, totally, pop. T-o-t-a-l-l-y.” Miles gave a grin; Jefferson knew the mischief hiding behind that smile.

Gloria added, “And mijo, make sure you call. You don’t want me writing you letters all the time, do you?” Miles was shaking his head frantically in the back; in a nest of peers, recieving letters from one’s mother was rife for becoming the hind of many jokes and many cruel pranks,

“Do you?” she re-iterated, an eyebrow raised,
“No. No letters… no giftbaskets with flowers and roses either” he muttered,
“Excuse me?” nothing was hid from Gloria Morales. Nothing.
“I didn’t say anything.” the car pulled up to the facility.

Miles uncorked himself from the puzzle that was the luggage between which he was trapped and threw the dufflebag strap over his shoulder so it sat at his hip; he grabbed one of the suitcases and pushed the door nearest the curb open where he stepped out and gazed over the gleaming facility. From the front seat his father and mother exited; his father grabbed one of the suitcases and handed it to his son. Gloria hugged and kissed her son,

“Be safe,” then Jefferson came around and finished the departing gestures with a firm hug. He patted Miles on the back a few times, Miles’ hands were indisposed with suitcases otherwise he would have hugged back. Jefferson kissed Miles on his forehead,

“Remember what I said. Don’t make me come up here, boy!” a smile,

Gloria waved Miles off, “Well, go go! Go have fun!” both his parents got in the car and sped off at a pace which made Miles believe they had been desperately waiting for this day for months. There was but smoke and screeching tires.

“Wow, love you guys, too.” he coughed, exhaust smoke aggravating his lungs. He turned and faced the looming Avengers facility with the large A imprinted on the front,

“Well… here goes nothing.”

Reese Robinson

Location: San Fransico, California

Interactions: Kate Bishop, Molly Hayes, Penny McDonald

The day had finally come. Today was the day Reese took his second major step to becoming a full-fledged superhero. The first major step was acquiring means of beating up on some bad guys, and in Reese's case that was the Nova Corps helmet that fell like a meteor out of the night sky. Reese was carrying two suitcases, one in each hand and a large backpack to carry his essentials in which included his aforementioned helmet. Staring awestruck at the vastness of the compound, Reese took a couple seconds to gain his composure. Putting down one of the suitcases gently, he fished in his pocket to pull out his keycard that he was given after he was accepted. Scanning the card into the reader, a flash of green lit up from the reader granting access to Reese. Peeking his head into the lobby, he saw no one was in sight. Shrugging his shoulders, he silently made his way to the elevator calling it to the ground floor.

The elevator made a Ding! signifying that the carriage had made it's way. Stepping inside of the elevator and putting down his suitcases, Reese picked the correct floor he was told to go to once he made his way to the lobby. The anxiety of the whole situation started to really hit him here, his new teammates were potentially already there meeting and greeting each other. Taking a deep breath, Reese relaxed himself. He had nothing to fear, most of his teammates were going to be just like him. Inexperienced up and coming superheros that needed a little guidance on their path. After exhaling his deep breath the elevator made another Ding! this time signifying he had made his way to the floor.

Grabbing his suitcases, Reese made his way out of the elevator to see three girls already conversing. He was going to say something to them but decided against it, instead giving them a small head nod and smile as he walked past them. His first priority was finding his room right now, and not looking like a tool as he conversed with suitcases in each hand. A faint "Can you believe there's no furniture in the rooms?" could be heard from the group. Reese looked back at them with a confused look, before making his way to where the rooms were located. Using his keycard he found a room in the middle of all the other rooms that hadn't been touched yet.

The room was barren like he had heard, giving out a faint sigh he threw his suitcases on the lone bed that was located in the middle of the room. Looking around, he sighed. "Guess I can do whatever I want with the room I suppose." Giving the room one last look, he exited. Making his way back to where the group was located he approached them. Reese asked in a confused voice, "Hey, I don't mean to interrupt your conversation or anything but isn't Stark supposed to be like filthy rich? I mean i'm not one to complain but I don't even have a place to put my things. Reese ran his hand through his hair, as he extended his other hand forward to each girl for them to shake. "I'm Reese by the way, nice to meet." giving them each a faint smile.

Molly was still ogling the hall like a fangirl when a red-haired woman emerged and she quickly snapped out of it and tried to look chill. This wasn't a fellow teen. This was a woman. Early to mid 20's at an estimate. Holly suddenly became worried about the possibility that even though she was much older now, she was going to be the baby of the group all over again. Just great...at least people treat 17 year olds a lot more seriously than 12 year olds. Maybe? Hopefully. Despite this, she smiled and nodded at this woman, before the elevator opened and a girl who's age seemed a little closer to Molly's emerged, explained that she needed to go dump her bags and left again.

"Makes sense, makes sense," Molly replied to Kate, even though Kate was long gone and Molly was essentially talking to herself. She turned back to the redhead, approached her and offered her hand. "What's up? My name's Molly Hayes. I have super strength. Look forward to working with you."

The other girl came back shortly afterward, and introduced herself, offering her own hand for Molly to shake. Molly put down her three heavy-looking suitcases before shaking her hand, and Kate would notice that her glowing violet eyes turned to an ordinary-looking green and stopped glowing when she did this. "Sorry. Super strength. Can't be too careful. I'm Molly. Hi! There's no furniture in the rooms, you say? You mean, like a hostel?" The tall girl looked a little dejected and downcast at this. "Man, I just came from a hostel!"

That's when another boy approached them, voicing similar concerns about the lack of furniture that had been reported, an introduced himself as Reece. As Molly shook his hand, she muttered "I'm not gonna remember all these names..." before introcusing herself out loud as "Molly. Molly Hayes." She didn't notice Miles enter the building behind her. Or maybe she did but subconsciously wanted a break from all the handshaking and barrage of new names to remember.

Penny continued to roam the halls until her ears twitched as she heard voices. She knew that she could not be the only one or first one here so she was really eager to see who else was present. Before she could find the people with the voices that she heard earlier, they found her and she mustered up a small smile towards them.

She looked as everyone introduced themselves and shook others hands, though Molly's handshake made her knees buckle a little. She joined the introduction process with a proper greeting of her own. "It's nice to meet you all. Penny McDonald here." She introduced herself then sighed with a slight eye roll about the rooms not being furnished. "I look forward to working with you all." She ended that with a smile that quickly turned into a frown whenever Reese mention that there was no furniture in the rooms.

"Do not even get me started on that." Penny said. "If he was so filthy rich, our rooms would have been furnished, yes?" Penny continued with a quip as she eyed every single one of them. At least they were given some money, which was probably to buy furniture or something. Or maybe, this was their first test?

Penny shrugged her shoulders at the thought then continued to talk with ones she was standing with. She waited for a moment to see what the others were going to do before looking around and hearing someone enter the establishment now. "Looks like another recruit is incoming." She muttered to the group before her now, waiting to see who has entered.

Did this guy sell his soul to the devil for a shitty car?

Yes he did.

Did he care?

No.

Did he expect himself to end up in San Francisco moving into some weird compound?

Also no.

Diego had gotten a few looks as he pulled up to the complex with his barely functioning 1999 Honda Civic. Puttering, the Japanese-made car was seemingly gasping for life as he'd arrived at the front door of the Avengers complex. Turning the car off, the weak puttering eventually shut off and was replaced by the distant sounds of San Francisco doing their thing. Stepping out of the car, he took a deep breath and inhaled the urine-scented air that inhabited the city of San Francisco. Yep. Los Angeles definitely beat the shit out of this city.

But, he was here now, as much as he didn't want to be. Digging his stuff out of the trunk of his car, he pulled out one singular box with a pile of clothes and a backpack, both of which contained every single thing he owned outside of the Civic. Humming to himself, he had a rather odd pep in his step. The security guard up front was giving a Diego a weird look, which was compounded even further when he'd plopped the keys to his car in his hands. "Thanks, vato." Diego smiled, before swiping his keycard to let himself inside the tower.

The elevator had taken a while to make its way down to the lobby floor, which had given Diego some time to check out the tower. For a place that was supposed to handle superheroes, there sure were a lot of serious people in suits walking around. Continuing to hum to himself, the elevator eventually arrived. Oh good. At least this poor excuse of a city did something right.

Taking him up to the floor of the residences, he walked in to see... well he didn't know what he was seeing. Was that... a communal kitchen he saw? No, that wasn't it. A communal kitchen was very redundant. Of course a kitchen was communal. Anyway, he tsked to himself. He caught a few glimpses of fellow superheroes. Cool. Not like he'd need them anyway. He knew what he was capable of, and he didn't need to take a look at them to know that he could do their jobs and then some.

Walking into his room, all that was inside was a bed. "Heyyy, just like home!" Diego exclaimed, dropping his box on the floor and plopping onto the bed like home as well. That was a huge mistake, considering the the bed felt way harder than a rock. He damn well nearly broke his beautiful face, but at the same time, it was still more comfortable than what he had at home. Taking a minute to revel in his bed, he then rolled out. Peering outside of his room, there was a group beginning to form. What was it about?

Guess Diego had to go find out for himself. Walking up to the group, he stuck his hand out for someone to shake. "Eyy... what's crackin' homies? I'm Diego."

T'Zarri
United States of America | San Francisco, California
Timing - Morning Hours | 9:00-10:00 AM

For most people, this trip would take days. Several days to prepare, one full day plus several hours to travel, go to their specific destination, and take roughly an hour to unpack or settle. Fortunately, he didn't have to go through the lengthy and somewhat monotonous process. People who left his home, as few as they were, had been faced with much more meager means.

Though, his purpose was nearly as important as a trip to see one's family, and it needed to be treated as such. With that, the trip only took a few hours. From up here, the general populace appeared small, but they were actively involved in his immediate cause for presence here. They surely had no idea of this, even now. If they were to look up in the sky, they would see nothing. Only clouds, cerulean, and the reflected brightness of the Sun.

It was within the Talon jet's cloaking feature, yes, but part of that statement held metaphorical value...

This was the highly esteemed 'San Francisco'. It looked nice, he supposed, but it wasn't home. It didn't feel like home; and it wasn't only because of the cooler climate change. His Amai said that he'd get used to it eventually.

T'Zarri didn't want to be here. Not now. Not while his King and uncle were near his demise. Being family, he wanted to spend as much time as he could with him. Being heir, he wanted to be there for his people when the time came. Though, his King believed that it would be better for the young one to gain more experience in the field, but with others whom he had yet to actually meet and work with.

This was definitely a challenge to accept, but one that he wouldn't dare back down from. Too much depended upon him, and he was raised to do better than crumble. Thus, when when the jet was nearing the Avengers' Facility, T'Zarri stood up from the back of the flying vessel and moved closer to the front to look out of the canopy.

["You are ready, young Prince?"] A member of the Dora Milaje asked him in their native tongue, pressing the command for the landing gear to cue.

["As ready as I am needed to be."] The young man nodded.

As soon as they were cleared for landing, T'Zarri grabbed his rectangual duffel bag and slung it over his shoulder. With the landing being fairly smooth in nature, the back stairway opened, displaced dust and minor debris blowing lightly as the turbines kept going. He looked over at the piolet who followed to see him off, and she lowered her head with a Wakandan salute.

["Farewell, Kelani."] T'Zarri nodded as he exited. To the outward eye, it'd appear that the Wakandan Prince was walking out of nothingness. He pulled the key card out of the pocket of the lightweight sleeveless hoodie that he wore, approaching the doors that led to the elevator. He had managed to get a general concensus of where he was going until called elsewhere.

The ebony teen sighed, eyeing the card before raising it in front of the scanner. With the confirming beep, he went inside the doors to the elevator. Everything seemed well organized and clean enough, as to be expected from a professional facility as this. He managed to get to the lobby and walk through it to get to the residential area. His eyes glazed over a small group of people roughly his age, likely his teammates, but he didn't hesitate in his steps to find his room.

It was fairly practical with a bed and a window. Despite coming directly from a lavish lifestyle back at home, he didn't feel the need to bring that here. Instead, he simply pulled a small square device out of the side of his bag. Placing it on the floor closest to the wall opposing the bed, he tapped it twice with his finger.

The roughly four-by-four inch-long shape reconfigured with several clicking sounds per second. This device quickly assembled a black, four foot-tall open cabinet with several shelves on the top row and drawers along the bottom.

He placed his bag on the bed and sighed. Now the fun part: Unpacking...

As her ride drove up to the vast complex that was the new Avengers west coast facility the green eyes of Sarah Stacy followed a high-tech jet come in for a landing as the Uber driver grumbled about the beat up old vehicle he had been stuck behind for the last few miles. The driver's grumbles stopped once he realized where he had driven. "The Avengers?! For reals?!" Then he turned in his seat to face Sarah in the back. "Yo! Are you an Avenger?"

"Who me?" she replied as she opened the car door. "Nah, man. I'm with the house keeping crew. New hire."

"For reals?" the driver as he got out of his car and made his way around to the trunk. "Yo, are they still hiring? A big new place like this has gotta still be hiring." Opening the trunk, the man retrieved Sarah's luggage and duffle bag.

"Just go to the Avengers website and apply there," she said with smirk as she adjusted the strap of the duffle bag on her shoulder.

"Sweet! Can I, ya know, use you as a reference?"

"Sure." Sarah discretely rolled her eyes as she extended the handle on her rolling luggage bag. With that, the girl gave a the driver a wave before turning to walk towards the entrance.

"Wow. The Avengers! No way!" The driver looking in awe at the complex.

As Sarah began to walk towards the main building she saw a young dark-skinned man, probably about her age, standing there seemingly taking it all in. Yet, as she got closer she came to recognize him as Miles Morales... the Spider-Man of Brooklyn. Sarah couldn't help but quirk her brow in curiosity. Had he also been recruited by the Avengers? As she remembered it, Miles was blamed for the death of a villain known as the Prowler, though she could not recall with he had been caught without his mask or if law enforcement had managed to unmask him. Normally, when in the vicinity of someone wanted by the law Sarah would do her hero thing. But, Sarah knew that when it came to Spidey-persons one should one the benefit of the doubt.

Sarah came to stand beside Miles. She remained quiet as she too gazed at the complex. After a moment she broke the silence with, "Come on, Kid Arachnid. Let's show 'em what we Friendly Neighborhood Spideys can do."

M I L E S M O R A L E S

L O S A N G E LE S

? ??, Present Day | 9:30 A.M. | California

A familiar voice hit his ears and he moved his head toward its origin. Sarah! It had been a while since he had seen her last; it was no surprise she would be here, though. It had been a while since he had seen her last; wait, she was here… which meant she was… nice. Now maybe he wouldn’t feel so out of place. No matter how one spun it, having the proportionate powers of a spider was not exactly entertaining at parties and, if Miles was honest, if everyone could see the web shooters when you were trying to do a sneaky magic trick then the illusion was busted.

Gross as it was, the mystery of whether the webs actually came out of his wrists or were mechanical was still something he liked to keep people guessing about. Wait, back on topic; Miles matched Sarah’s perk,

“Sarah! You’re here, too? Nevermind, doesn’t matter--we’re both Avengers? S w e e t.” he shuffled about a little, the strap of the dufflebag was rubbing the flesh of his neck in manners quite uncomfortable,

“I don’t know--do you think they’re ready for us? Actually, no, better question: are you ready?” it sounded good and ominous when he thought about it. When it came out of his mouth, maybe not so much. Miles was searching for his usual confidence--and in the breadth of this fresh adventure, he was dumb.

“--Cause… cause I’m sure ready. I think.” that A was so intimidating. Starstruck wasn’t the phrase to encapsulate what he felt at all; it was something more like numinous.

Reese Robinson

Location: San Fransico, California

Interactions: Kate Bishop, Molly Hayes, Penny McDonald, Diego Valdez

After Reese introduced himself to the group of 3 girls, he eyed them all curiously. One of them stood tall above the rest. She introduced herself as Molly Hayes, the handshake she gave Reese was firm and sent a wave through his arm. He could just feel the power she possessed just from a simple handshake. Judging from that she was strong. Really, REALLY strong. Although her personality seemed to contrast the power in a way. She seemed like she was very sweet, and to have someone strong and kind on your side was definitely a positive.

The short red-headed one of the group Penny McDonald, was a sight for sore eyes. Not to say the other 2 girls weren't also very pretty in their own right, because they were. They all three were in fact, "it's actually insane" Reese thought to himself. But the way Penny carried herself and the seductive style clothing she choose to wear confirmed this. Reese could tell from the start that she wasn't just a generic pretty bimbo. No, she seemed very smart and capable of what she was doing.

Finally the last one, the black haired Kate Bishop. The handshake they exchanged threw Reese for a loop. Her hands were very calloused. Showing that a tremendous amount of time and effort went into those hands. Judging from that alone you could tell what type of character she was. Hardworking. Perhaps she got them from lifting weights? Reese eyed her for a second, before going against that. She definitely was in shape, that could be seen. But she wasn't in the gym throwing up 600 on the bench press. Reese couldn't put his finger on it, but she seemed like she would be an important asset as well. She obviously could manage if she was recruited by the Avengers.

After Reese had made the remark about Tony Stark being filthy rich and the rooms being empty, the red-headed girl of the group spoke up about it. "Do not even get me started on that." Penny said. "If he was so filthy rich, our rooms would have been furnished, yes?" Reese nodded his head along with the statement agreeing, but keeping an open mind to the scenario, shrugging his shoulders. "Maybe they just want us to do whatever we want with the rooms, or maybe they didn't have time to furnish them. It's whatever though, at least we have a bed."

Penny spoke up once more. "Looks like another recruit is incoming." Reese turned his head just in time to see another guy make his way over to the group. The new guy stuck his hand out, speaking out. "Eyy... what's crackin' homies? I'm Diego."

Reese met Diego's hand and shook it. "Reese man, nice to meet you." Diego seemed like a very relaxed dude. The handshake they exchanged was very casual, which only added evidence to the fact that he was in fact a relaxed person. That was a great relief because the last thing Reese wanted was a stuck up to come through the door and ruin the vibe that was going on in the room. There were no hints to what he could possess as his power, but time would only tell. Actually Reese wanted to get to the bottom of that, and now.

After giving Diego time to meet and greet all the other recruits, and waiting for the conversation to die down, Reese spoke up. "So... I know you all are just as curious about eachother. So I'll start." Reese grabbed the backpack he currently he had on his back, dropping to a knee quickly and unzipping it. Pulling out his black Nova Corps helmet. "This right here. Is a Nova Corps helmet... Delivered right to me from the farthest reaches of the universe. It grants me some pretty cool powers, such as strength, flight, and I can shoot some lasers and stuff. I haven't really figured it completely out yet." Reese eyed the helmet for a few seconds, thinking of his life before all this. "So what about you guys? What brought you all here?"

LAZLO

LOCATION: Avenger's Tower/San Francisco, California
INTERACTING WITH: Miles Morales, Sarah Stacy

Trust. It is a rather odd concept if one would take the time to think about it. It by its very meaning was to assume an outcome on insufficient data, yet people did it all the time. They trusted that a driver wouldn't run them over as they crossed the street, that their neighbors wouldn't rob them while they left their house, that a mother wouldn't abound her crying child in the depths of the woods. People held strong onto this concept of trust despite history having given them countless reasons to do contrary. It simply boggled Lazlo, yet here he was against everything in his programing telling him how flawed his own current actions were he was finding himself having to trust.

The past few weeks for Lazlo had been rather... different, and it all started with his initial meeting with Tony Stark. The famed hero had not only managed to prevent Lazlo from being recaptured by A.I.M., but also offered the android a way of protecting himself from any of the organization's future attacks against him. All he would have to do is agree to join a group of new young heroes that Tony was assisting with forming. There was nothing that guarantied Lazlo that what Stark was saying was true, or even if it was that it would actually grant him safety, but with the increasing amount of A.I.M. units looking for him He saw little other choice.

With the agreement made Lazlo next found himself in the hands of the government group S.H.I.E.L.D., apparently they had been growing more and more concerned with his actions ever since his escape from A.I.M. and with his recent agreement with Tony Stark they felt it time to move in on him. He spent weeks in their facility being examined and tested, it became obvious that they suspected him of being part of some A.I.M. ploy. Lazlo could understand their suspicion, he would be equally so if he was in their place, so he complied and gave them the information they wanted about himself and A.I.M., well the information he deemed they needed. After a few weeks and another little bit of help from Stark Lazlo was free again and on his way to what would either be wisest or most foolish decision he had ever made.

As he continued to replay the events of the past few weeks back in his mind Lazlo made his way through the city on foot. The towering android carried no luggage, he had no real use of anything save for the clothes on his back and even then that was only to cosmetic purposes. He cut through the crowds of the city as he approached his destination with unwavering purpose. "Avenger's Tower." Lazlo thought to himself as the structure came into view, it was quite impressive. Even from the street level Lazlo could just feel the level of technology that was humming about the building, Tony Stark's reputation surly did live up to itself. Putting aside his desire to immediately start analyzing the building Lazlo reset himself onto the task at hand, meeting this new so called team. He thumbed over the key card that was secured in his pocket, it was simple enough tech from what he could tell that would grant him access to where he needed to go in the tower if not a little be restricted. It was as his hand examined the small piece of plastic in his pocket that Lazlo found himself at the foot of the tower, and it would seem he was not alone.

Lazlo quickly scanned over the pair to try and gain as much information as he could. The first was a petite young blonde woman who seemed to be in her late teens, Lazlo wasn't able to find much information regarding this woman identity, her companion on the other hand was a different story. Miles Morales A.K.A. Arachnid A.K.A. Spider-Man, suspected in the murder of the Prowler. The information came rushing into Lazlo like a freight train and it only served to prove to him that he was indeed on the right track. He took a moment to consider his actions before going with the simplest approach.

"Am I safe to assume that you are here for the same reason as I am." Lazlo's voice was curt as he approached the two, his chocolate colored eyes scanning over the pair or a moment before pulling his key card from his pocket and revealing it to the duo. He allowed them a moment to look it over before safely placing it back in his pocket. "If not I apologize for the confusion." Lazlo added as his hand returned from his pocket and hung back to his side. He continued to look over the two as he waited for a response, if these two were indeed part of this soon to be team then they would of been given the same type of key card and would understand Lazlo's question even if it was asked in a bit bizarre manor.

Molly inwardly wished that new people wouldn't keep showing up. Just a tiny gap. That's all she asked for. Just a tiny gap to let her actually have a conversation, or leave, instead of being trapped in and endless cycle of handshakes and new names. It was just like when the not-yet-Runaways used to be forced to hangout during what she later discovered were ritual sacrifices carried out by The Pride. She quickly abandoned this train of thought because thinking about her parents, and about Alex, would make her melancholy. That wouldn't be a great first impression.

Molly shook Diego's hand, smiled, and introduced herself in a friendly manner, though the enthusiasm was wearing off. That's when Reese spoke up. She didn't show any reaction to seeing the helmet, but the moment he mentioned Nova Corps, her eyes lit up and her whole demeanor changed. "Ooh! I've heard of the Nova Corps! I had a friend called Xavin who had dealings and negotiations with them a lot before she came to Earth. She used to tell us the stories. She was Skrull royal family so was a diplomat a lot. If you know where she is now, please let me know."

Stop it, Molly. Don't get Melancholy. I know you miss her, but stay happy. Tell them all how you ended up here.

"I used to be in a team called The Runaways a few years back. We weren't strictly a hero team, but we did do hero stuff on occasion. We were really just a group of friends. We didn't even all have powers. Anyway, we all went our separate ways a few years ago, and I've been bouncing from foster home to foster home, whist trying to catch up with school. Then I get a call from Tony Stark a few days ago, and now I'm an freakin' Avenger!...Kind of. I'm a mutant, and as I think everyone but Diego has seen, my power is super strength. I'm also invulnerable. At least, as far as it's ever been tested."

For better or worse it seemed the team had...arrived. They were mingling and meshing which at least bode well for the downtime aspect of it all, but it was too early to call if that would translate into cohesion when it counted. On the field it wouldn't matter how chummy you were with each other if everyone started competing for how to do things a specific way. Teamwork was more than knowing each other's names and being friendly with one another.

Carol Danvers, now without the buffer zone that were Tony and Steve, marched her way down the hall, brushing past various staff who were likely just as confused and unsure as the actual potential members of the heroing team. There was an aura of uncertainty about Carol's person and it showed on her face. It was still too early to tell but her initial trepidation was still lingering. Sure, she could admit that there was potential in some of them and she knew as well as anyone that it didn't take incredible super-abilities to be a hero or an Avenger (though they certainly helped) but she would at least have preferred them to be, well, old enough to drink.

At least then she wouldn't feel like a glorified babysitter.

As she entered a central hub room that would hopefully one day serve as a general meeting for a team she could trust and rely on, her hand ran along the surface of a table boldly emblazoned with the Avengers logo; Stark architecture never were ones for subtlety. At the back of the room was a series of monitors and switches that looked more complicated than they actually were - it helped that there were nice labels over the things that mattered. The main monitor had a map of the city and surrounding area on the main screen; it seemed that things were in the green for the moment which was always nice to see despite it never lasting for long. Carol flipped a switch and throughout the complex a faint hum of white noise. "All candidates report to the first floor training ground. If you get lost, hopefully you can find your way to the exit. Ten minutes."

Was she being too harsh? She didn't think so. But when there were clear signs showing where things were, she didn't believe anyone had much of an excuse for getting lost. The training ground, known internally as the Assembly Hall, was a wide space on the ground level with enough roof space to accommodate for aerial specialists; it might as well have been in its own building given that it was attached via a corridor that resembled an airport walkway in order to keep it separated from the main building. Training had a tendency to make things...shake.

The probationary members would know they were in the right place when they arrived in a rather sterile looking room with the logo on the floor with a balcony overlooking the area - the same balcony that their mentor was standing on, awaiting the charges in her care to arrive.

LAZLO

LOCATION: Avenger's Tower/San Francisco, California
INTERACTING WITH: Miles Morales, Sarah Stacy

Slow. This was the word that Lazlo had come to associate with most organic life ever since he had gained his sentience. Everything they did they did at a pace that he could only describe as tedious. From their work to their personal affairs they performed every task as if they were stinted by something. Even now Lazlo found himself slightly perplexed at the hinderance that he had placed himself in by asking what he found a simple question to the duo he came upon in front of Avengers tower. Maybe the silence and confused look that sprang across the pair's face was Lazlo's answer, maybe he was mistaken with assuming their identities as fellow members of this new team. Or maybe it was the way he approached them, had he been too blunt? Was it possible he had presented himself as off putting? Lazlo's eyes scanned over the two as he reran the situation in his head. Was he the one that was wrong?

This train of thought was quickly interrupted when the familiar buzz of a intercom caught Lazlo's ear. This was much more of the automaton's speed, direct and clear instructions. He moved his gaze back to the still rather stagnate pair and offered them a simple nod before turning on his heels and heading into the building with out a single word. Lazlo didn't have any intention of appearing rude, but given the ultimatum that was just put out over the speaker system he found that he now had even less time that he could afford to waste pondering the ins and outs of human interaction.

Getting to the afford mentioned training room was a easy enough task given that the lay out of tower was rather simple, it was nice to see that despite the rather boisterous décor Tony had had the building designed for maximum functionality as well. Two minutes and fifteen seconds is all it took for Lazlo to himself as he entering the barren room, his eyes quickly scanning it over. He found little of interest save for another eye catching Avengers' A emblazoned on the floor. But what really drew the android's attention was the golden haired woman that was surveying the room from a perch above the ground level, recognizing her was immediate. "Captain Carol Danvers, alias Captain Marvel. Former U.S. Military, current member of the Avengers. Potential threat to this unit: INCREDIBLY HIGH." The information made its way through Lazlo's head as he continued to scan over the icy eyed heroine. As he reached the center of the room he never took his eyes off of Captain Danvers, nor did he speak, he simply waited their unmoving. This was it, this is what the past few weeks had been leading to and Lazlo was ready to meet it.

Reese Robinson

Location: San Fransico, California

Interactions: Kate Bishop, Molly Hayes, Penny McDonald, Diego Valdez

After speaking about his helmet, Reese zipped up his bookbag once he was done. Keeping his helmet in the grip of his hand, he focused in on Molly as she spoke up. "Ooh! I've heard of the Nova Corps! I had a friend called Xavin who had dealings and negotiations with them a lot before she came to Earth. She used to tell us the stories. She was Skrull royal family so was a diplomat a lot. If you know where she is now, please let me know."

Reese thought for a second, trying to recall a Xavin he met on his travels. From that unique of a name, he would've surely remembered the person. Although the end of her sentence may imply she is currently missing. It seems that Molly doesn't know the whereabouts of her friend, and is worried about them. Judging by that assumption Reese decided not to just outright ask her if she was missing, and instead shrugged his shoulders. "Sorry, I don't know where or who that is. But if they truly dealt with the Nova Corps, they must be pretty capable of taking care of themselves." Reese added the last part to try and comfort Molly if her friend was missing. Some food for thought never hurt. Reese focused back in on Molly as she continued on about herself.

I'm also invulnerable. At least, as far as it's ever been tested."

Reese looked Molly once over after she finished, "Super strength and Invulnerability? That's so badass!" Reese flashed her a smile, as he looked over the group. "So who's ne-..." Reese was cut off by a loud speaker that played nothing but white noise for a second, before a voice went over the intercom.

"All candidates report to the first floor training ground. If you get lost, hopefully you can find your way to the exit. Ten minutes." Reese scratched his nose as he smiled lightly. "Well, the training grounds? I guess we're going too learn firsthand what we all can really do."

Giving time to his new teammates to get whatever they needed for themselves, Reese waited patiently at the elevator door to make his way to the first floor. Walking with the rest of the group, they stumbled upon the first floor training ground. On the large balcony overlooking the massive training area, stood THE Carol Danvers. Also in the middle of the room, a unmoving figure stood. A new teammate perhaps?

"You're right. Thank you," Molly replied sombrely yet gratefully at Reese's reassurance, managing a small smile. After she had finished the rundown of her powers, he'd smiled back, impressed with her powers. This gave her a boost of confidence, as she'd been wooried, up til now, that she'd be seen as the baby of the group. Maybe her team would realise that a girl with impressive powers and more years of team experience than the rest of them combined, wouldn't just be an asset, but would be some kind of mentor figure. Wouldn't that be sweet?

Before anybody else could explain their powers, of which Molly was very interested to hear about, the speakers crackled to life and a voice Molly recognised as Captain Marvel's began to speak, telling them to report to the first floor training ground in ten minutes. Molly immediately broke into a sweat. "Oh, hell! I haven't even put my freaking luggage away! You all go on ahead. I'll catch up!"

Her eyes glowed Violet as she picked up her three large suitcases in one hand again, and bolted up the stairs, not waiting for an elevator. She found her assigned room, opened the door, dropped all three suitcases with a very heavy thud, shut the door, and then started to run back down. They were right. The rooms were borderline hostel rooms! Darn...

She had to stop to read the signs and find out which way the training room was, when she once again reached the first floor, as all of her other teammates were likely already there. Then, she bolted through the corridor leading to the large auditorium. When she arrived, she was the last one there, and meekly waved to everybody, out of breath. "Sorry.
