edit: I'm thinking Starfire will just know English because she's trying to learn the most important language of the galaxies, so she'll come to Earth with a basic understanding of English, Chinese, and Spanish.

Because in the comics and stuff she learns language by kissing someone and then being able to mimick their language. That's hilarious but also stupid. usually don't want to start off an RP with sexual assault

I mean, Makaya wouldn't be totally against the kiss since she could sneakily pluck some hair and store it for later. Eye for an eye. Well, possible complete bodily control for language learning.

@MsMorningstar hmm. that would be kinda cool for RP potential, if it ever came up. plus, stupid as it is, it is a part of her character...lmao. plus weird alien language magic might make more sense than her just learning every language of the galaxy from a young age, because she isn't a super genius or anything. but on the other hand, it's kinda dumb. maybe if written well enough it could work, it would certainly be memorable.

A majority of people are starting out in New York, so that'll probably be the hub of activity. I don't know what the people who started outside of New York will do, but Blackstripe mentioned in the first OOC post that they'll be posting events and challenges for everybody to keep the story moving. Who knows, Blackstripe may force us together somehow.

Grandmaster Jones is far too cool. But anyways, I think the fact that people are gravitating near each other is pretty good. We're just gonna have a large amount of heroes heroing in one place.

@Rondo of Blood I've nothing complicated on them. They're an advanced and warlike empire. They're on bad terms with the Mage Consortium, a space-faring empire of exiled human Magi living in massive floating cities called Megatropolises. They're one of the few species in the universe that can hold their own against them without outside help due to their Nth Metal.

As I said before, earlier in their history they defeated an alien invader who wielded magic. They became expansionist themselves and went on to conquer other species for the glory of Thanagar.

@LokiLeo789 I mean, there's quite a few, right? Who would you want to be a villain for? Figuring that out should help narrow things down significantly.

@Tackytaff Okay, I like your character a lot, but there's a few things you have to understand about death in the setting, which I admittedly forgot to elaborate on. Normally when somebody dies, their "soul" will go to the limbo-esque Realm of the Dead, where it will be purified. This purification process varies in length, depending on how wicked they were in life. It can be mere weeks, or even many decades in the worst of cases. I'm sure Hitler's soul is still being cleansed to this day, for example.

During this period, you can indeed call them down to speak with them, if you have such an ability. But after they've been purified, they'll be reincarnated into a new body somewhere in the universe, and then you can obviously no longer converse with them since they're alive again.

Now, that's how it normally works. But if a person has "unfinished business", or something that strong ties them to the world, they can continue to linger on as a spirit. I imagine that's what happened with your character's witch friend, if she didn't just use magic to bind herself to a phylactery or something.

@LokiLeo789 I LOVE this character! I'd love to hire him as my ultra-famous song artist's bodyguard! She's got lots of creepy fans who need to lose some teeth, and travels the country regularly performing concerts. And to answer your question, everyone has to start in the Eastern Half of North America, which limits how far apart we can be.

Ey fam, Starfire's lookin pretty good, good job on gettin in.

Anyway, normally, you'd have my blessing to join the Outlaws if you'd like (considering that Starfire was actually on the team in the comics), but it wasn't really "Young" Starfire as much as "Amnesiac" Starfire. Might not be mature enough to join, if that's your deal.

Also, the Outlaws is sort of a full-time gig, and you'll most likely be doin whatever the team is doin with only a small amount of time between jobs to do whatever you want, before going back to do another job. After post-contract-Pizza, of course.

I can also see that I'm late to the party, so if you already have plans with other people, that's cool. Don't wanna sway your choice or whatever.

Alright, I'll get a PM together either tonight or tomorrow. Fair warning though, the original history I had been working on felt like a bit of a mess, though I still have it on my phone, so I might give you the revised one I've been thinking up instead.

Grim will be in Gotham as resident Ironbat, my alien Kailani will be ... somewhere... maybe space who knows.
