Kuroi's eyes immediately shot up to the dark elf who had passed by him, keeping a close eye on him as he strode into the infirmary. Although he didn't have a full view of what occurred within, he had a very good idea of what the faun and human girl were tending in there, or rather who. He heard the wooden doors open and soon caught sight of the dark elf from the bench he was still sitting on. The individual who had passed him and was now inside the infirmary. Something struck the vulpine as rather odd, the sudden appearance of the man and the way he presented himself led his intuition to believe that the situation would turn out to be quite dire. Kuroi stood up and began walking towards the entrance of the infirmary just seconds before a dagger was sent into the wounded human's torso. The scent of fresh blood filled Kuroi's nostrils as he moved quickly towards the entrance, his left hands feeling his upper thighs for some reason or another.

The vulpine arrived at the entrance of the infirmary and, in a passive manner, flicked out his face and positioned it in front of the lower half of his mask. Feigning femininity, he walked towards the two guards and glanced at the both of them through the holes of his mask. "Could the winner of the tournament from the night prior inspect those who had lost a bit too much during the event?"

The dark elf guards looked at each other curiously before looking at Kuroi up and down. It wasn't long until the guards realized who stood before them and opened the wooden door for him, allowing him entry. The Demihuman waited until the doors closed behind him until he walked towards the group of four that reeked of freshly drawn blood. "Intriguing to see that such a mysterious man would appear in these strange times. Although I suppose strange faces reveal themselves when strange happenings come to eye."

With graceful motion, Kuroi spread his right arm out, revealing the lower half of his mask before he dropped himself down into a bow. "May I ask why a dark elf draws blood in a place meant for healing? Surely there must be some reason for such actions..." Kuroi said, rising as he angled his metal fan in such a manner that let the edge glint, revealing its sharpness.

Time: Morning
Location: Camp
Interactions: Torvi @Tae

Bowyn glanced at the merlin as Torvi explained that she had no magic. “Lovely, the elves have summoned a defective human.” He said rolling his eyes. This is why he stayed out of meddling, it never turned out as one planned. Now, this unlucky human was left here, stranded and without any great power to speak of. Not only did the elves bring false hope, which would get the people of this world killed in futile disobedience to Aklenroth, but they had doomed this stolen human as well.

“Bowyn, the human can hear you when you speak to me,” The bird reminded him, “Perhaps we should not insult the armed warrior.” Boreas cautioned.

The fairy signed; the bird had a point. Although she claimed to have no magic, he did not doubt that she was skilled with the weapons she carried. Her story painted her as a warrior protecting her village and he did not wish to provoke a fight. “Hope is a lie, and a dangerous one at that. It leads fools into battles they cannot win. It brings death.” Bowyn allowed his bitterness to seep into his tone. He didn’t like the way she spoke of hope and change, it reminded him too much of Aeryn, and he avoided eye contact with Torvi as well, fearing that he would see that same spark in her. He did not need to be inspired by hope into any further foolishness than he already had been. She had that same aura of the young and hopeful that he and those he used to surround himself with once did. He remembered what it was like to be worse than foolish, to be naïve enough to think the world could change. He wondered what was worse; to die with that hope still held, or to live long enough for the world to rip it out of you? Bowyn honestly wasn’t sure, while he wouldn’t wish his coldness on another, believing in pipe dreams had brought him just as much pain. Boreas flew from fairy’s shoulder and into the trees, keeping watch for any sign of others approaching the camp, as Bowyn walked towards the fire pit to create a more comfortable spot for the human to rest.

“I am sorry for the loss of your sister, you should never have been brought here, it is not the elves place to decide to steal others from their homes.” Bowyn said with sincerity, having now learned why the human seemed so sad. He thought on the similarities between her story and his own, he easily he understood wanting to fight back against invaders, the memory of his own failed attempt still raw. There was a dark irony here, how she had fought to stop invaders who would slaughter or kidnap her people only to be stolen away by elves of another, more dangerous, world. And for what end? Another rebellion against Aklenroth as if any before had brought anything but death to those who opposed him. He let out a dark chuckle and shook his head. “Here, there is no possibility to win. It has been tried, and it always fails. There were tyrants before Aklenroth, and should his reign ever end, there will be a new tyrant in his place. The choice is dying for a lie, or living with what you have. I chose wrong once, and it cost me far more than my life.” Bowyn’s tone grew more hostile, and he cleared the burnt and wet wood out from the firepit as he spoke. He then used his remaining stockpile to build another fire. As he worked the fire plough, he channeled his frustrations from the reopening of old wounds, struggling more than usual to get a spark until he finally regained composure, calming himself and pushing thoughts of the past from his mind.

“If you like I can help you build a pyre for your sister, to honor her life, and to ensure Aklenroth cannot raise her for his army of the dead.” He spoke softer now, removing his previous hostility from his voice. Although this offer went against his baser instinct which was to put as much distance between himself and Torvi as possible, his fool mouth was apparently offering more help to the stranger. Bowyn did not know what the human’s customs were for honoring their dead, but he did always regret leaving Aeryn’s body behind after she had died. The thought of what the dark elves, or Aklenroth, did with all those who had died in that day in vain, haunted him. He didn’t know if a proper funeral would have given him any closure, or if that was anything that would dull the sting of such a loss, but he did not wish for Torvi to be robbed the opportunity to try.

Once the fire was lit and starting to flourish, he dragged out the blanket made of animal furs from the lean to and shook it out. He placed the blanket near the fire, making a spot that would comfortable and warm for the human to rest. From his shelter he also grabbed a pouch that contained dried fruits and jerky, remembering that Torvi had said her village had been starving and assumed she was likely hungry. He placed the pouch of food by the blanket and gestured towards the Viking. “Rest here, help yourself to food, and the water from this stream is clean.” He said, and since the human seemed uninjured he did not offer his limited ability to heal, he thought it best to keep that secret to himself. No more help, he promised himself, if they human wanted to honor the dead, he would help with that but anything more and Torvi was on her own. The more time spent near the human, the longer he was in danger but at the same time he recognized that Boreas had been right all along, it was nice to converse with someone other than a bird. This self-acknowledgement greatly annoyed him, he preferred to ignore the loneliness his isolation brought him, and it seemed almost intentional that Avalia had led him to a human he found so relatable.

Time: Morning.
Location: Forest near the Sun Elf Kingdom.
Interactions: Cadence @Helo, Soruklithbaal @Alivefalling

Ayita nodded with a determination as she heard Cade's words when he mentioned they were a team. Ayita knew very well what exactly meant saying someone was a part of their tribe and clan. It was more than just being companions on a trip. She wasn't just a stranger or an outsider, she was a warrior, just as Cade and his words meant that now they would stand side by side.

"Side by side, from a warrior to another." Ayita said, looking to cade with a serious expression.

As he began working on the hare using his claws, Ayita began eating one of the fruits she had picked previously. It was completely different from the fruits she had back in her world, but it was tasty nonetheless. Juicy and sweet it had a curious, but pleasant flavor. Being careful to not spill the juices all over herself, she continued eating as she watched Cade licking his paws once he was done with the hare. Finishing doing it, he got one of the fruits and bit it. Even though he tried to hide, Ayita did realize that it probably wasn't something he enjoyed eating, since he was a carnivore. It simply was too different from meat for him to enjoy it.

"Two tomahawks or one tomahawk and a large hunting knife would be more than enough." Ayita said, nodding as she silently thanked him.

The second Cade handed his halberd to her though, she looked at him with a surprised expression. Even though she had no idea of how important that weapon was for him, she did knew it held some type of emotional value, due to how careful he was with it, always carrying it and maintaining his weapon. For a warrior to lend his weapon to another person, it meant a gesture of extreme trust.
Knowing that, even though she wasn't really accustomed in wielding such a large weapon, she accepted nonetheless.

"Thank you." she said. Even though her words were few, her eyes did say much more to Cade. Not only respect, but trust and a silent promise that she wouldn't betray him nor the expectations he was putting into her.

Before Ayita could even grab the halberd though, she had a really unpleasant surprise, a huge dragon skeleton flying above the forest immediately made Ayita assume an alert posture when his skeletal body casted a large shadow above the trees and his loud roar echoed through the trees. Not only his size was enormous, but the way he was circling and flying above the forest made it clear he was searching for something. The second it turned back to where Ayita and Cade were though, it was clear that it had found what it was searching for.

"Above!" Ayita said, warning Cade as she Quickly grabbed Cade's hand, dashing and running to the treeline, towards a particularly thick tree.

Without even looking back, she ran as fast as she could, trying to get behind the tree before the dracolich's attack got them. Even though she would probably be able to avoid being scorched if she hid behind the tree, it was undeniable that the entire part of the forest they were would become a flaming inferno in no time. They had to think on how to escape quickly...

Time: Late Morning
Location: A quiet stream, South of Orc Landing
Interaction with: Darius, Skar, and Myra @13org

Myra smiled as Darius pat her head. Even though that thing he was using above his chest appeared to be quite important to him, it did seem he was ok with it now. Myra didn't know if what remained of it would be of use to Darius, but the simple fact that he had patted her head and seemed to be a bit better was enough for her.
After all, he still had the smelly things he used on his feet and the rest of whatever those were. It wasn't like he had lost everything.

As Darius went back to the task of covering himself with the weird things, another thing immediately drew Myra's attention. Using the meat she had given her previously, Skar began making a fire. After a short moment, smoke started coming out, indicating she was successful in her task. Even though Myra knew what fire was, she didn't know how to do it and as such, she immediately dashed to where Skar was, curiously watching what she was doing. It did take a moment, but when the small fire she had made got big enough, she started putting the rest of the wood she had gathered above it. But the most interesting part for Myra was maybe the moment Skar got the meat, stuck on the end of a sharp blade thing she had on her waist and put it into the fire. The very moment she did, Myra started looking at her and then at the meat with a confused expression. Why didn't she just eat the meat? Maybe she didn't want it?

It wasn't until when the meat started getting cooked and letting off quite a good smell that Myra started to understand what Skar was doing. She was accustomed with eating raw meat and she loved boar meat due to it's flavor, but it was undeniable that the smell coming out of the piece of meat Skar had was making her really, really curious.

Looking at the piece of meat Skar was cooking, she looked back at the other piece of meat she had brought from the carcass back where she met Darius. Looking at it and then to Skar, she quickly searched the ground for a sharp stick or something she could use. When she did, she cut a piece of her meat, stuck on the other end of the sharp stick she had found and began imitating Skar, putting the meat into the fire as well. While she did wanted to try and taste what Skar was doing, she didn't want to use all her meat, in case she didn't really like the outcome.

"Well would you look at that. No one would ever know you two were trying to kill each other a few hours ago. Now you're cooking together… Well sort of." Darius said before stepping towards the stream.

"Darius. I have armor. It is better than cloth." Skar motioned her head to the torn shirt Darius now carried in his hand. "We will need to be strong in Orc Landing. Need protection. Magic is…" Skar let out a low grunt. "Use what you have as deadly weapon. Use arrows, be deadly. Use sword, be deadly. Use magic… be deadly Darius. Train. Peacemaker has your armor." Skar said as she continued to cook her meat on the fire. She smirked at the sight of Myra. Darius nodded as he felt the orc knew best.

"Might as well level up while I'm here. I'll grab the armor in a bit. Darius said calmly as he reached out towards the stream in an attempted to raise some of the water from it. A smirk quickly appeared on his face as droplets started to rise. It wasn't much of anything, but it was magic. He could use magic! "I still wish I had fire though."

A sigh escaped Dionaea's lips as her head fell back a bit more to watch the light dance off the jewels. For that moment life didn't seem so bad. The group was exchanging smiles, laughs, and for only a bit- joy. She turned her gaze to Risa, who joyfully danced under the glistening. She was beautiful. The young fairy followed the gaze to Kyran who was fixated on Risa with a sheepish smile. Dia knew how much he cared about her, not just as a friend but much more than that. Most of Risa's suitors through out their lives Dionaea had felt a bit protective against; they were not good enough for her, and all they would do is hurt her. Kyran was different though, she knew that hurting Risa was the last thing he'd do.

Kyran went to check on things, leaving the girls alone in the cave for a moment "This reminds me of home." Dionaea commented, gathering herself up off the ground wiping away some of the debris off her legs and dress from the cave floor. She was still soaking wet, and despite the fire Elsea had produced, was feeling a bit on the chilled side. A shiver ran down her spine as Kyran came back with horrible news, the human had been murdered. Sure, he was broken but he did not deserve to have his life ended in such a horrendous manner.

A sense of guilt swept over the young fairy as she pictured Jean's face flash before her eyes, the imagery of her dream from the night before now intermingling. "We can't let him die in vain, we have to get out of here!" she concluded, looking around at the two cave paths that stood before them. "Which path should we take?" she questioned the group, a sense of urgency in her voice.

Risa reluctantly stayed once Kyran had left. She didn't want him to go alone! She nearly moved after him and then stopped herself. Kyran wouldn't be silly enough to go up there on his own. He'd stay in the cave. Her heart raced with worry and she turned to Elsea and Dionaea. The reality of the situation hit and her smile had faded."I don't know if we should have left Jean-Luc and Elthrael up there. " She moved over to her best friend's side to squeeze her hand comfortingly. Knowing her family was in danger broke her heart and knowing she'd have to tell her was all the worse. She felt wrong withholding the information but making Dionaea panic right now could be dangerous.

Kyran finally returned with grave news. Tears immediately filled her eyes. "Oh no, no this is awful! We never should have left him. I can go save him maybe if I heal him... I-..." Risa stammered and began to cry. She felt so guilty. This was the man she saved and he was under their protection. Leaving him when he knew so little of the world and it's dangers while he bravely faced them to protect them was so terrible. Kyran had said the same elf was back with reinforcement. Deep down, she knew she couldn't go back up there. They'd all be killed. Her heart was louder than her mind almost and she pondered sprinting back the way she came for Jean and Elthrael whilst the others escaped the other way. She actually began to, running the other way but then thinking of the other three, she stopped. Her dear friends and Elsea needed her protection. It was a choice she never wished to make, but she had to do so. Risa sniffled, trying to stop crying as she then started to flutter her wings, taking flight after her friends in order to catch up, going through the cave that Kyran directed them to.

Xenelith paused rather reluctantly for O’Ner. He was anxiously walking around the pyre he built. Fire already burned on a torch in his hand, ignited by the firepit. “You won’t find anything. I’ve been thorough.” He said, trying to convince O’Ner to leave the home so he could reduce it to cinders. The longer they had to wait, the more something with Xenelith wanted him to not just burn the house. The whole forest should be consumed. Rotted and burned. Leaving the fertile fields for Dakka to cultivate. He suppressed it for now. Luckily both O’Ner and Xenelith’s attention was diverted by Jack’s arrival. All his comrades seemed to be on edge by his presence. Even his own pets were on guard. Xenelith was not. Though before he spoke he tossed the torch inside the house. The oil he had gathered from lamps and what not instantly ignited. Carrying the flame across the pyre and even to the walls.

Then his attention came back to Jack. Only now did Xenelith notice the corpse he was carrying. It was mangled horribly. A killer already? That was useful. So few people had a stomach for murder. Most found it to be an acquired taste and Xenelith had no time to teach. “One dead human already. Impressive.” The calm words of Xenelith soothed his beasts. Ferra, who stood over Jean with her claws extended, ready to charge and pounce, settled down onto her snack again. The wolves who bolted for the shadows and had secretly surrounded Jack slowly trot back into the clearing. Though they kept their distance from Jack. “Tell me, how many have you killed before?”

Umber did not know which of his two feelings were stronger at the arrival of the creature dubbing himself as "Jack," his embarrassment or his curiosity. Either way, both were subsiding with every passing second. Was it disappointment that now grew in the demon feelings?

No, it was not that. The man who claimed he was interested in killing his own was still someone he did not expect to see. Jack's thoughts and feelings reminded Umber of another project he had worked on… maybe a few projects if he was being honest with himself. The most intriguing thing about this man though… Is that Umber himself did not have a hand in his molding. So there are those who naturally become this way? My, my… Even after 200 years, life brings me interesting surprises. He glanced at Azriel once again before his eyes set back onto Jack.

"Love to partake? So calm is this lamb that approaches a group of butchers… Rabid, cannibalistic, or maybe just foolish… but meat…" Umber lifted the corpse a foot off the ground. "...is meat." Umber let the corpse fall limp onto the ground. He did not even care to torture the man. What is the fun of breaking a broken object or remodeling a work of art? "If it were only up to us… Or if it were up to me..." The demon began to let out a low menacing snicker. "Be grateful that our lord prefers you alive. You may have easily been delivered in the same state as the other two… Interesting find, but you're hardly a good keep for me."

Why couldn't it have been her? I suppose there is next time... Umber then turned to Xenelith who spoke to the abnormal minded creature. It seemed the Dark Elf wanted to know how useful the human could be. Using an actual human would prove to be more efficient than having O'ner morph into one. Despite having a broken mind, the man was authentic and would beat out a copy any day when it came to truly blending in. Now, Umber was curious about the answer to Xenelith's question. Perhaps Jack could still prove to be interesting after all.

The repetitive motion of his fingers tracing along the strings of his lyre relaxed the young faun. The new human who'd appeared was kind and showed her sympathy which Ilan appreciated. He stopped playing and fastened the instrument on his back. He turned towards her and took the opportunity to look at her more closely, discreetly of course, without overtly staring. Without any distractions he could now clearly see she was also a human. She was not very tall and light in every sense of the word. Her hair and skin were a pale color and she didn't appear to be heavy at all. If Ilan didn't know any better she may well have been a child, but the way she carried herself confirmed she wasn't. Another human had come into his care. Hopefully he would do better this time. He wouldn't know what to do if the same thing happened to her. He truly wished he had the guidance of his wise grandmother in a time like this.

She had gone to lean against the wall in absence of a chair for her to sit on. Ilan walked over to her and held out his hand in greeting, smiling softly.
"I'm Ilan...."
He rubbed his nose lightly, not really knowing what to say next. He tried his best regardless.
"I know this world must be strange to you, and you have many questions"
"Humans are kind of like heroes in this world, who have magical powers to defeat the evil King."

Ilan looked around for some unseen threat, lowering his voice to a whisper, fearing even the walls had ears.
"Which is why you are in danger...."

He thought it best not to scare her any further. They would travel to a safe place soon, where he could answer any other questions she might have. Ilan reached inside his traveling bag to retrieve a bruised summer peach. He handed it to her with a slight apologetic smile on his face, feeling a little embarrassed. A small gesture of kindness was important during hard times.

"You must be hungry"

It would be best not to linger too long, for both of their sakes. Ilan glanced towards the door to see if any of the healers were close by. He didn't see familiar burgundy robes crossing the hallway. Someone else did enter the room, he was wearing a hood also, just not the kind the healers wore. Despite his white robes, something about him made Ilan shiver. He approached the bed and Ilan held his breath, feeling something terrible was going to happen. The stranger plunged a hidden dagger right into the chest of the deceased, close to the heart. Ilan eye's widened in fear and he screamed, covering his mouth immediately. He stumbled backwards until he almost bumped into the walls behind him. The man was ordering him to lift up the dead man. Ilan was horrified, he should be left to rest. He'd gone through enough terrors in his life. This hooded man must be someone who wanted the reward....

"Why...why are you doing this!?"
Ilan asked in a shaky voice, his legs were trembling beneath him. He tried to make it stop and think of something to do. He did not feel confident he could use the magic of his lyre, he was too frightened to concentrate on the notes. Taking out his slingshot would take too long, and the room wasn't large enough for him to get a good shot.

Ilan glanced sideways to the human girl, she was closest to the door, maybe she could make a run for it. Another stranger entered. He wore a mask and addressed to man in white robes. He was a dark elf!? Did the Lich king know their location already? The idea filled Ilan with a sense of dread. The faun slowly inched closer to the human, having decided for now the masked stranger seemed to be on their side. He was armed with bladed fans.

"Be careful.."
Ilan whispered quietly to the vulpine.

Jack watched the body of the prostitute raise off the ground curiously only to be dropped back down. "Bloody hell." He muttered then turned to see three wolves emerge from the forest and quickly turned his head back to the four creatures standing before him. "Oh, I am grateful, sir." He replied to the large demon creature. "As for the people I have killed, I am a famous serial killer where I come from. They called me Jack the Ripper. They only found and dubbed five kills in my name but in reality, I have killed around fifty if you include the ones I killed on "accident" being a doctor as my day job and those they never found." Jack's voice was filled with pride as he talked about his kills.

"Now I heard that this leader of yours is only taking heads from the dead. This is not my preferred method of dealing with bodies but it will have to do." He said, kneeling down to the dead prostitute. He grabbed the hunting knife in his pocket then took the girl by the hair and slowly decapitated her. "There! All done." He said with joy, standing up. "What shall I do with the head now? How will I receive this payment?" He questioned the group as he lifted his mask revealing his mouth and licked the blood and flesh from the knife.

Kenia seemed to breathe a sigh of relief once Terneus was truly gone. She had waited to do so, however, until his whole entourage was out of sight. She had come awfully close to assassinating the governor right then and there. Truly the world would have been a much better place if they had done so, but that would have been a lot more difficult to pull off.

She looked at Malachi as he had come back and gave him a grin as she nodded in agreement. “Bravo my timorous beastie. You almost had me believing you were wild. Thanks to you and your lovely acting skills we didn’t have to murder a governor today.” She said as she clapped her hands as she began moving towards where Rei and Corvina had been hidden. She removed the blanket covering them, smiling down at them.

”Come now you two, we should be safe for the time being.” She told them as she offered to help them both up. Malachi made mention of getting cleaned up and she couldn’t agree more. She really wished to bathe, much preferring to feel clean. ”Bathing sounds wonderful right now. I have some clean clothes for myself and probably something Corvina can change into, unfortunately I don’t keep men's clothes on hand tho. So we’ll have to find clothing for Rei. Then we also need to find a good place to go for a while to lie low.” She informed the group as she watched Malachi cook the squirrels.

Torvi scoffed as he called her defective. He obviously didn’t know much about humans then. ”Perhaps it is your elves that are defective or uninformed as very few humans actually have magic. It is more common for them not to have magic.” She explained with a shake of her head. If she’d been anything like her brother she may have responded to that insult with violence, but thankfully she understood that violence didn’t always solve everything.

”Death in battle is nothing to be feared and an honor.” She exclaimed, this statement irking her a bit. There as a fire in her eyes as she spoke these words and crossed her arms over her chest. ”If you die fighting for the things you love then you are sure to see your loved ones that are gone once more. So why fear death in battle when that will be your reward?” She explained to him further, firmly believing in this. It was the only way she would see Siri again, to see her husband again. She was filled with irritation, however, watching him build up the fire again and the things he spoke of softened her a bit. Her arms crossed over her chest from being in defiance to being something of comfort for her. He’d obviously lost something or someone dear to him.

He then offered to build her sister a pyre and she felt a tightness in her chest again. Could she actually find her sister’s body again to do so? Would it be safe to build a pyer if there may be people out searching for her? There were so many questions running through her head as she moved to sit down in the spot he indicated. She pulled her knees to her chest as she let the fire warm her. She was silent for a long moment as she thought things through. ”If we can find my sister’s body again I would very much like to build her a pyre, however…” She started and then looked up to Bowyn. ”If I am so doomed and not likely to live, if I’m bringing you such danger, why are you helping me even in the slightest? Why offer to help me honor my sister’s life if I’m going to die here soon as well to Aklenroth?” These were the questions she really wanted to know the answers to. What was causing him to actually help her?

.Azriel watched the human in front of her closely, the smallest of smirks on her face. She did take a moment to glance briefly at Umber, just to see his reaction to things, before she began slowly moving. She began circling Jack, keeping her eyes on him all while examining him and the dead woman. He exclaimed that he had killed around fifty, an impressive number for one man no doubt. She’d long lost count of how many she’d killed.

She watched him take the woman’s head off as she continued to complete her circle around him. She chuckled a bit as he licked his knife. ”Whoever created this one seems like they would get along well with you, dear friend.” She said as she glanced over to Umber, a grin on her face.

She then looked back to Jack, debating on what to do with him. He obviously wasn’t all there in his head, but perhaps that didn’t matter. ”I think our king may want to meet you, perhaps we shall take you to him and there you will receive payment.” She exclaimed, though she glanced around at the others to see if they agreed.

"This way," Kyran told them as he bolted towards one of the tunnels in the cave, beckoning Dionaea in the right way. It was only moments before he stopped and saw Risa trailing behind. She was actually turning to go back the other way. 'She must have hesitated in her need to always save another life.' He thought to himself. Kyran felt pretty bad for Risa as tears were filling her eyes. Kyran ran back and grabbed Risa's wrist. "I am sorry, Risa, there is nothing we can do. We need to think of those who are alive right now and save them." Kyran eventually led them to a cave opening on the other side of the lake hidden in the woods. "We should go to Roshmi and stay with my parents; they can provide us with some clothes and food also possibly armour and weapons."

O'Ner Faister

O'Ner found no evidence or clues of the rebel's whereabouts or intentions, This frustrated him a little as he wanted some sort of clue so he could find the rebels. But his attention was quickly turned towards the human. He seemed uncaring that Xenelith had just burnt down the hut, He felt further annoyance listening to the human named Jack. O'Ner wanted to test Jack to see if he was worthy of serving Aklenroth, "If i am permitted i would like to test him to see if he is worthy to serve lord Aklenroth" O'Ner still in his maiden disguise walking towards Jack.

"You may accompany us but you will be given a few task to complete, And you will be under my orders and watchful eye" He said pointing to his womanly blue eyes. "I hope that is fine with everyone else?" His eyes scanning his comrades thinking their would be no objections to his request. "The first part of your test will be to scout a head and gather information on the rebels we are tracking, I don't care how you get the information. Then i want you to come back to me with that information, Do not get caught because then you are useless to us. And if you do get caught do not give critical information about us. If you do then i will know and you will suffer greatly" He spoke staring at Jack with his disguise's piercing blue eyes.

CRIMSON = O'Ner's Hallucination

50 people? What drives him? Umber questioned to himself. Jack kept calm in this situation, even when he took the time to behead his victim. Umber just studied the fellow with his eyes. Now the demon seemed indifferent as the man in front of him ran out of interest for Umber. 200 years had allowed Umber to see many things, and though this was new, it was one note. The origin of Jack’s derangement was peculiar, but the product was exactly the way it presented itself. The actions were expected and therefore lost their luster. Jack would prove useful, but Umber’s interest in him was exhausted.

Umber slowly turned his gaze to O’Ner who was attempting to use Jack in a scheme to fool the rebels that evaded the group of Aklenroth’s elite. The plan was well concocted, but not suitable for the likes of the man before them. Not even suitable for any man stumbled upon just minutes ago.

“General Faister...’ Umber addressed without looking at him. Before O’Ner’s eyes, he would suddenly see a hallucination of his true self standing between himself and Umber. O’Ner’s large skeletal body faced the female human form he now possessed with a cold stare. Umber still didn’t turn to face O’Ner. “Do you remember my words? I shall remind you… if you choose to take action… be sure it is the correct one. And why? I’m sure you remember why… You had a clever retort for that.” Umber’s head turned and faced O’Ner. With one finger, he tapped the top of the skull of O’Ner’s skeletal image before the bones seemed to explosively shoot in all directions. “This is not the move you should take. This human is indeed untested, but his first test should not be one with so much risk and responsibility. We will test him in time. For now, we bring him to Aklenroth… For a reward, he truly doesn’t even care for. Am I right, Jack? Tangibles do not satiate you, but perhaps Aklenroth can offer something more suitable to your needs.”

Rei gasped a fresh breath of air, like enjoying a cold drink, as soon as the blanket was lifted. That had felt like it had taken a decade, and he stopped trying to listen to their words because of the stuffiness. Questions like, 'What the hell was that?' and 'Why did we need to hide from that pompous elf?' filled his head. Before anything however, he did agree with them needing to clean up, the day he had spent in Avalia felt like weeks- he only ever felt like this when he was nearing deadlines for projects.

He took a moment to catch his breath before speaking, "Yeah." Rei took a whiff at the hem of his shirt, "Probably best thing to do."

"What do we do after that?" Rei slung his sweater over his shoulder, addressing the two elves, "Or rather, what do you want us to do? Some training montage? You need to be clear with your plan for us."

Rei eyed Corvina, it wasn't fine to drag innocent people into this mess of a world, but he decided that he'll talk to them about that for later. He paced by Malachi, blankly staring at what he was cooking. It looks like a squirrel? he thought, I was never a picky eater, so whatever. Rei crouched by the fire, brooding- ruminating and gathering his thoughts on what exactly he and Corvina should do.

Once the arrogant intruder had left, the blankets were lifted. Rei and her were free to move, and Cora couldn't help but let out a deep sigh of relief. Kenia, the female elf, had offered her hand, which she had accepted. By now she couldn't feel her legs or arms from laying there so long. She shot a dark glare at the ground to release some of her pent-up frustration, then glanced at Rei. Her gaze told him she wanted to talk, but not here or with the Elves nearby. She wanted to discuss what had just happened and what it meant for them. They were in terrible danger.

With a pleasant smile, she turned to face Rei, Kenia, and Malachi. She listened to them patiently and avoided looking at the squirrels.
"Yeah, cleaning up would be great." She looked at her clothes and another sigh escaped her. She had dried blood all over her and mud now, too. She wasn't sure if she had even been this filthy in her life. "Thanks Kenia, for the clothes."

Corvina nodded to her and began to stretch gently. She didn't know how to respond to eating the squirrel. Nauseated, Cora moved towards the front of the cave and looked out over the forest. Wherever they were, it was definitely beautiful. Despite the dangers, she wondered if life here could be better - better than her life on Earth. It did not look promising, considering the nbumerous ways they had either died. She glanced back at Rei and offered a sweet smile and sat down against the cave wall away from the fire.

Belladonna listened to the faun explain this world's situation: an evil king, magical powers, and being in danger. She couldn't help but chuckle at it. Was this a joke? Was she going to wake up and have to explain to Lysandra her magical dream? She didn't let her derisive laughter linger; he even coughed to cover it up. The faun's next move surprised her; he was handing her a peach. Despite it being bruised, her eyes had lit up. Peaches were some of her favorite fruits. A rare, genuine smile poked at the corners of her mouth but she didn't dare let it show. Bella went to thank him, express her gratitude and offer more condolences, when a stranger entered the room. The man was clothed in white clothing and had a hood on. She eyed his facial expressions then his hands which she could tell was holding onto something. It didn't take long to discover what the item was: she watched with minor shock as he stabbed the already-deceased human. It was not an unusual sight for her, though her stomach clenched with knots. She gripped the peach gently and set it in her hoodie pouch as not to let it be ruined. She would be damned if she lost her peach. Her stomach rumbled to protest the delay of food and she ignored it. "Shut up you bastard. You can do this."

A familiar and dreadful memory tugged at her mind's eye, however she couldn't bring herself to dwindle on it. The faun, whom she could tell was not used to violence had let out a horrific scream. It made her wonder how many people or creatures would hear it and start coming towards them. Her mind raced. She had to escape from this fucking mess, but how? God knew what else lurked behind these walls. It was evidently dangerous for her too, being that this "Evil King" was out there. She scoffed and glanced around to see if anyone had heard the faun's scream. Before she could process a thought or action, the murderous scum drew the curtains and turned to address them both. Why he had felt it necessary to stab the already deceased man, she wasn't sure. His words caused more derisive laughter to fill her but she remained impassive.

Who was he to demand that they come with him? What was he going to do if she resisted - stab her? This man had it coming if he thought she was easy prey. Besides, it wouldn't have been her first time being stabbed and she was well-aware of how to bandage and clean the wound. Healing, though, would been an issue. Bella was aware of her stature that reflected the aura that she was helpless. In her leggings pocket, she had pocket knives stashed and also a smaller knife as well. She was holding onto the blade handles gently, as if she weren't grasping anything. Thankfully, her long hoodie was able to hide the evidence.

She titled her head as if she were examining a new specimen under a microscope. She fought the urge to raise her brows and took a silent deep breath. With a calmer demeanor, she turned to face yet another creature enter the room, this one addressing the "Dark Elf" as he had been called.
What the hell is a Dark Elf? She quietly sighed as not to draw attention to herself. Bell wondered if she could play deaf; would they know what that was? She glanced at the two animal-creatures; the newest one had razor-edged fans. What a delightful invention. When this bullshit was over, she wanted to inquire where to find one in case another lunatic was nearby. There was a lingering pause; then Bella looked at the new man and stared at him with confusion and innocence. She would need to retain her itch to strike him; it would not bode well for her to create more enemies. Besides, if people thought she was defenseless, she would keep the upper hand - at least, to a point. She had no idea where she was or what these creatures used for self defense but it would be clearly different than her life on Earth.

"I'm sorry, Mr. Dark Elf, can you please explain to us all nicely why you felt the need to stab this poor man?" Her eyes began tearing up. The bastard was a nazi, she could tell by his uniform. She retained the urge to sigh in disgust and instead allowed her sadness and grief to display. "It seems he already was passed. My friend over here was already distraught. Besides, I think we would all be interested in knowing why you would like us to come and where, exactly, you'd take us. Pardon me, Sir, but on Earth, we like to acquaint ourselves and not skip the formalities. Seems abrupt to me. Is this a custom of yours?"

Bella remained silent to allow him to ponder her words; then glanced at the other creatures. Clearly humans were in danger. How many people had decided to follow her? Uneasiness gnawed at her. Her hands were motionless, but her mind was screaming at her to run. Indeed she would if it came to it: she was next to the door. Where she would go, she didn't know;perhaps back to the Godforsaken forest? Bella's mind raced as she assessed the situation and awaited the next move. Whatever it was, her muscles were tense and ready to jump if necessary, though outwardly she looked alert and calm.

As the dead human had been stabbed, things had gone precisely to the plan.

"There is no time for questions, they are coming." The dark elf said, in a slight rushed tone, as rushed as his calm and serious tone could do, as his attention went to the doorway where a masked indivdual now had appeared. This was not according to his plan. But then again, being able to stay dynamic was crucial so it had to be expected that unknown elements would get involved. The masked individual offered a bowing motion and posed a question of his own, asking the dark elf why he drew blood in the place they now found themselves in. The masked individual was armed, armed with an unusual choice of weaponry, but sharp and no doubt deadly in itself.

Things had taken an unfortunate turn of events, where the dark elf had hoped for a swift retrieval it was now becoming more of a bothersome task, with the risk of obstacles getting in the way. The masked individual and the short figure asked questions which could both be answered in one answer.

"This human was a threat, It is now dead. The faun and the short one alerted me to his presence. Are you saying you are here to stop the law from being enforced? Surely there must be some reason you display your metal feathers in such a manner." The dark elf asked, his dagger still in his hand.

"Do not lie short one, he was very much alive and you are not an off-worlder. That is a dangerous claim in the presence of dark elves and those which serve the king." Baraian said in a serious tone of voice, his fingers keeping a firm grip around his dagger, his attention was however not on the faun nor the short figure, but on the masked individual with the metal fan.

"So an enemy of the crown are you?" Baraian asked, his body language telling that he was prepared to do something depending on what the answer of the masked vulpine would be.

Cade’s ears flattened back and his tail twitched nervously as the wind brought a sickening scent their way. With the smell of death so thick in the air, Cade expected a legion of undead, but the all-encompassing sound of a dragon’s roar that followed told him they were instore for something far worse. A massive shadow passed over them and Cade slung his halberd back over his back and looked up at that which had temporarily blocked the sun from them. “ Soruklithbaal” He whispered and his blood ran cold as he remembered the stories he’d heard of the lich’s dragon as a child. Cade had never seen a dragon before, they rarely left Daka and he was certainly not expecting the lich to send his personal beast. Based on the shadow it cast, this undead dragon was far larger than anything he’d faced before, trolls and ogres had nothing on this beast. Even as the dragon passed them by Cade knew this did not mean safety, the beast surely had their scent. Cade knew he had no chance of defeating this monster; this creature was large, undead, and could fly. If human’s truly possessed magic as great as the stories claimed then Ayita was there best chance of surviving this.

Cade, frozen with fear and uncertainty, snapped out of it when Ayita grabbed his hand and they began to run. However, he knew that they would not be able to outrun the dragon, or the flames that would surly consume the forest as the beast tried to incinerate them. A sense of dread washed over him, to be taken out while fleeing a monster he could not truly battle was not a warrior’s death. His dread of such a tragic death was soon replaced by determination; Cadence of a Thunderstorm would not die by flame, and neither would his fellow warrior, Ayita. “Inori said magic would show itself in times of trauma, I can’t think of much that’s going to be more traumatic than a fire-breathing, undead, dragon.” He said quickly, as they moved deeper into the forest. “We can’t outrun a dragon. Tap into fear, rage, the will to survive. Whatever you can, Ayita, you have power, power even the undead fear and I know you can use it.” Cade said, desperation in his voice, as Soruklithbaal’s flames ignited the forest.

Bowyn sat down near the fire but with some distance between himself and Torvi. He listened to her as she talked and, although he disagreed with her every word, he could understand why she believed it. There was a time when he believed in the possibility that the world could change for the better, that there were things worth fighting for, and of noble deaths. That was all before, before he had truly seen battle and knew the horror that warfare brought. “An honor?” He repeated his tone implying a rhetorical question. “What an honor it is for the young to be slaughtered. To have their potential ripped from them. How glorious it is to die, choking on one’s own blood, or to feel the cold as one bleeds to death surrounded by others but completely alone. What a magnificent fate to watch life extinguish from another’s eyes. How comforted the families and loved one’s of those who died must be; to know that even though they died in vain, covered in blood and gore, that their death, is noble. And how easy it must be to go on, for those who survive, knowing that after watching all those you’ve loved, and considered friend, die horribly, at least you can fight again.” Bowyn stared deep into the fire as he spoke, dark and biting sarcasm coating his every word. “That is what battle is, the one I lived through was enough. My life has never been easy, but that is the single most horrific thing I have ever experienced.” Bowyn spoke now with a quiet and morose sincerity. He closed his eyes for moment as the grief he tried to keep buried took hold.

“Hope, and a twisted idea of honor, is what compels the young and foolish into battle, and when they die so young too few are left to speak about how truly awful it all is. Once I bought in to it all as well. I fought with others of my village, against Dark Elves, who would steal my people for Alkenroth whims. We were all naïve, none had ever truly seen battle before, and every friend I ever had died, so many lives sacrificed for nothing. I am here because another, one so much better than me, died in my place. They got no pyre, no goodbyes from family or friends, and I have no closure. I do not wish this fate for you, for anyone.” He continued, in the same soft tone. Although the thought of building a pyre and trekking back through the woods sounded exhausting, Bowyn was already physical tired and weak from the effects of the drugs leaving his system, he did not wish to add to his pile of regrets. He reflected further on the question of why he still offered to help, although he knew why it was not so easy to put it all into words. “You remind me of many I have lost, and perhaps, that is worth a bit of danger, and maybe, I still have some foolishness left in me.” He admitted, annoyed with himself for continuing to indulge in such dangers. He did not want to stick with Torvi long enough to see her die, nor did he want to leave another to face death alone, but maybe he had enough fool left in him to find her other companions just as eager to risk their lives. His world certainly had no shortage of fools.

"You're telling me a human who was on his death bed already was a threat? I didn't know paranoia could take over a man who handles himself so calmly." Kuroi said, using his free hand to slip underneath his haori and draw his other metallic fan. He opened the other one and closed the one that he had used to cover his face, pointing the tip at him as he now used the other fan to cover his face. "The biggest issue I have here is that you dare down a man, regardless of what he is, that is already wounded. In a place of healing, no less. Do not even accuse me of not following the law, I've already turned in a man's head myself." Kuroi continued, letting his half-lie be heard throughout the room.

The martial artist could already feel the tension rising, and his eyes immediately scanned over the person who had the audacity to down an already downed man. "The least you could have done was wait until the man was able-bodied again before killing him! Although, judging by your attire, I expect very little from you." mocked the vulpine, taking a single step towards the group. He opened his fan again and used it to cover up his face whilst the other went down over his abdomen - it was clear that Kuroi's flamboyant behavior at this moment was meant to be provocative towards the dark elf. Surely no one could fight from such an open, flashy position.

"Draw your weapon against me right now and I promise you that my fans will be quicker than any sort of attack you can concoct with your blade and footwork."

Once more, Kuroi closed one of his fans and pointed it at the dark elf, "I'll repeat myself once more. Why down an already downed man? What ulterior forces are at play here, coward?"

Confidence emanated from the metal-feathered vulpine. His body language and words were made to provoke a man whom he had already decided a coward. All Kuroi wanted now was answers, and he was most definitely ready to defend himself if needed.

All the passengers of the Amora heard that familiar roar. They all rushed outside to the balcony of the Amora and there they saw Soruklithbaal the great dracolich, burning a portion of forest to ashes. They all cheered and hollered for it, as they knew no one could withstand its might and power.

"Oh dear, looks like I'm late to the party," Sakura said as she watched the dracolich unleash another torrent of flames. To the other demons and dark elves, it might seem that the dracolich was merely causing chaos and destruction, but the demoness knew that it had already found its target. While the situation did put a dent on Sakura's plans, it was nothing major from the demoness's perspective. She should simply just, as aquatic demihumans would say, 'go with the flow'.

While the others were too busy gawking in awe at Soruklithbaal, Sakura separated herself from the crowd, opened her umbrella, and flew upwards to the sky. She yelped in pain as the sun's rays touched her skin, but she withstood it and continued flying straight through and inside a huge mass of clouds. Within it, she held a blank talisman and chanted.

"From the skies of order and seas of strife
I the rule breaker, defiler of rife
Reveal the fatal flaw
My word forever law
Seek the insentient and grant them life"

As she chanted, she could feel a portion of her life energy flowing out of her body and pouring unto the blank talisman. She knew the shikigami she would be summoning would take much more of her energy than her past creations; hopefully, it would get its job done as quickly as it can before it continued to drain more of her life energy. The talisman now bore pink markings on it and it hummed with energy. "Come to me, fulfill your duty!," Sakura said. The cloud began swirling around her, gradually picking up the pace and protecting her from the sun.

The demons and dark elves noticed what was happening and were looking suspiciously at the swirling clouds, with some of them even drawing out their menacing weapons. Sakura only smiled and giggled as she controlled her new shikigami and made it fly straight towards the direction of Soruklithbaal.

It will look just like any other cloud for some people, but upon further observation, they will notice it had a talisman on its head, signifying that it was a shikigami, a creature brought to life by the magic of Sakura. It flew at high speeds until it crash-landed on the forest, dispersing its cloud body and killing the fires brought by the dracolich with its cold air and water vapor. Then it swirled around the dracolich to confuse it and block its sights.

"Hello", Sakura said behind the demihuman and its dark-skinned female human companion. Looked like her intel was true; just by sensing the forest, Sakura could tell the pair was alone. And for the pair, it might look like Sakura just appeared behind them out of nowhere, but the demoness actually just jumped in time as the cloud landed and she ran behind the pair. "While thinking about attacking the lich king's dracolich seems brave but moreso idiotic, I would like to offer you a choice instead: either we should run away as quickly as possible while it is still distracted, or you choose to stay and become Soruklithbaal's breakfast. What say you?"
