Nah, I would have written on your wall because you lurked my profile. It's a standard thing I do.

Well then, you have my thanks. I don't get to write superheroes nearly often enough.

Again, another super-difficult choice, but I think I have to give it to Uni’s ‘And Then It Was Over’. It felt like a true conclusion to Frank's story so far, which I appreciate. Endings are tricky, and we don’t always do them justice, but I think Uni did. Couple what I feel has become his signature kickass action with Frank’s dry wit narration, and you get a fantastic recipe for a top-notch post. As an aside the Max Payne soundtrack went hand in hand with the post in question, really driving the energy and pace. I don’t usually listen to the music player's provide for their posts, because I usually feel that their choices don’t mesh nearly as well as they think they do, but Uni nailed it here. And if you meant for Jose Gonzales’ “Far Away” to begin playing as soon as I reached the part where Frank returns to his warehouse, then that was a genius move.

Considering 'And Then It Was Over' is my favorite of all the posts I've written, I am overjoyed that you went with it for best post. As for the question of if it was intentional when 'Far Away' begins to play when Frank reaches his warehouse... I'll leave it a secret. ;)
holy shit autoplay that's genius thank you so much

Was it taking your cherry? That's another thing I do, I lurk for profiles that have no visitor messages and then I take their cherry.

As far as you would have known. I delete things, though.

Can confirm this. I didn't want a visitor message, told him no, and yet he forced himself upon me anyway. He's an unrepentant serial-messenger.

First, let me thank everyone who's said kind words about Spider-Woman. I haven't felt this energized in a game in years, and I'm just glad y'all are enjoying reading it as much as I am writing it.

Best Character: Byrd's Constantine. I always expect to enjoy Byrd's characters, but his Constantine is some of my favorite work from him.

Best Character Concept: Morden Man's Fantastic Four. This just hits all my buttons. Tragic figures escaping a doomed world? Inter-dimensional travel? Men out of time? I just love it all. Plus, I look forward to them coming to terms with their new world, and learning more about the demise of the New Frontier.

Best Character Development: Lord Wraith's Thor. As someone who usually doesn't enjoy Thor as a character, if I'm being honest, it's always nice to see someone make a character I don't enjoy required reading.

Best Story: Simple Unicycle's Punisher. Overall, I'm just into what's been done with the character.

Best Post:

The John Lees Memorial MVP Award*: I'm going to be really lame and say everyone. It's been awesome to see one of the concepts that got me into RPing back, strong, and interesting again. The OU is something I hold dear, as stupid as that sounds, and to have a bunch of players old and new doing awesome work in it takes me back to the good old days of the Hype.

Also, I should have a post up tonight. Finishing it up now.

I was the kid who appreciated getting a participation ribbon because it was probably the only ribbon I’d get.

I am still that kid.

Psh. I got actual awards. My spelling bee trophies would like to have accurately spelled words with you.
Now that I think about it, I don't think I ever got an award or ribbon for participation. The worst I've received awards or ribbons for events and competitions were third place.

Unless you're this guy, apparently. With his third place trophies and shit.

Third place in the competition, last in your father's heart.

If it helps, when I was 21, I believe, I entered a horseshoe tournament for duos. We were randomly assigned a partner by lottery, and my partner and I only came in third out of six teams. So, while we both technically got third place ribbons, it's not like that was a particular achievement.
