Dick kind of strikes me as the kind of guy who always defined himself by being liked by girls but eventually grows older and realizes he doesn't need all that noise and eventually forms more platonic and meaningful relationships.

Basically what I'm trying to say is I don't see there being any OTP for Dick.

Ironically, the fact that Dick and post-injury Barbara can't really have crazy rooftop Halloween sex I think makes them a much better pairing. Like you're saying, as he grows up he should get less interested in chasing tail (or rather being chased by tail), so a relationship where that's not really an option anymore makes it that much more important for him to grow as a person. I think he's still very much a romantic and a loverboy at heart, but by the time he's an actual adult, he's looking more at a love with a capital L. He can't really get that from the world of sexy people in skin-tight spandex, and Barbara's the closest thing to a normal person he knows. Plus, since she was always more emotionally mature than him, I imagine he'd feel like he has something to prove, to show that he's grown enough to be ready for her.

I mean, to each their own--especially in regards to DC which has about eighty trillion different incarnations of their characters.

So does the Joker.

Dammit, I thought I was gonna have the "yeesh, too far" joke of the night.
As much as I ship Babs and Dick, the Dick/Kory pairing in the Teen Titans DCAU movie made a convincing case for my changing my mind there.

I like Dick/Kory, but I've never really been able to consider them an OTP. They always struck me as each other's respective side-piece.
# Dick Grayson's theme Here's to you, Mrs Robinson plays #

"Miss Gordon, and Miss Koriand'r, and Miss Kyle, and Dr. Isley, and Dr. Quinzell, and Miss Al Ghul, and Miss Lance, and Miss Bertinelli, and Miss Zatara....you're trying to seduce me."

Let's not act like Dick doesn't have an ass that would bring all the cougars to the yard...

Yeah, but in-game he was like 15 at the time. And unless we wanted to turn UDC into a reenactment of Van Halen's "Hot for Teacher," I figured someone in the same age bracket would be more appropriate.

I've...considered making Gwen...fluid.

Hmmmmm....

;)

I've made fluid while considering Gwen......
It works when you right write it, never saw it in the comics though.

Personally I like the idea of Batman and Black Canary.

Fun fact: the only reason I ever started putting the two together was because in that particular version of UDC, the players who were using both Barbara and Starfire made them way older than Dick, so I had to basically pull a whole 'nother romance out of thin air. And the more I wrote it, the more I liked it. In comics canon, yeah, I go Dick/Babs all the way. In my own head-canon, though, that's another story.

I could get behind Bruce/Dinah. It'd probably be healthier for Bruce since Dinah's already on the right side of the law, and it'd allow him to dunk on Ollie. And anything that is bad for Ollie (comics-Ollie anyway), I approve of.
... actually, @HenryJonesJr, I have no qualms if you continue this honorable tradition in UOU. No qualms at all...

I mean, they do have a lot in common. Smart, confident, have dads who are cops.....are fated to suffer major spinal trauma.....
I mean, at least MB is adamant about the sanctity of Batman's canonical ships.

I, on the other hand, will remain steadfast in shipping Dick Grayson and Raven until the day I die.
@Master Bruce Yes, fuck people who write about fictional characters they didn't create in a way that pleases them.

How dare they!

Hang them I say!

If you're not ready to commit real-life murder over the love lives of fictional characters, are you really even a fan at all?
