Bio

Let's get down to business (to defeat the Huns…).

I have been active since 2010 on one main site with one or two on the side. Since that site has fizzled out, I am looking for a new place to be creative.

I am currently 29, full time teacher

Weekends tend to be when I can respond for longer branches of time but I will try to check every day to every other day. (Summer is approaching which means more time!)

I am a native English speaker and try to at least write 1 paragraph if I’m in a serious rush, but I aim for 2-4. I also write from the female perspective. But hey, I’m a girl that likes detail! My main topics are as listed below:

-1x1
-Romance (Love me some romance!)
-Magick/Supernatural
-Fantasy
-Fandoms (Supernatural, GoT, HotD, OUAT, MCU, Harry Potter {I’m a Hufflepuff!}, Outlander, ACOTAR, Maximum Ride… I’ll think of some more!)
-Small Groups
-Time Travel
-School (College/Uni themes)
-Mature themes (We can hash out details in our DM’s. I have hard lines I do NOT cross.)
-Modern
-Historical (Preferably mid 19th century- mid/late 20th century)
-Medieval Era
-Casual OR Advanced (Please note that I am a teacher, so my schedule sometimes varies if I have extra work to do.)
-Always 21+ for character ages and for the author themselves

I always strive to be creative but accurate, and I love to plan out details behind the scenes to then be brought to light in the thread.
DM me and let's set up something fun!

XOXO,
Artemis Arts

Hi guys. I apologize for falling drastically behind. I lost my grandma this week and it's been a bit crazy with Easter on top of that. I promise I'll be on again once everything quiets down a little at my parents' house and I'm back at my apartment.

"I guess I'll fly with all of you this time, just to fully get briefed." she sighed and nodded her head, looking around at the group in the room before her eyes set on Jim, the corner of her mouth turning up slightly. "Are you ready for this. Cap really has his hands full if it's Hydra." she shrugged and looked towards the door where everyone was beginning to make an exit towards the Quinjet.

Adjusting her familiar leather jacket, Carol walked towards the door and eventually entered the jet, taking a seat near the back and crossing her legs casually, not wanting to seem too interested in the mission at hand. But come on- Hydra? Something finally interesting happening on Earth that she was called in to help with? How could she deny the call? She overheard a conversation by two of the younger in their rag tag group of heroes and arched a brow, and amused smile displayed on her lips.

"Did I really just hear you say this was better than juvie?" she inquired, tilting her head towards them slightly. "How many missions have you actually been on?" she asked them, curious about these two kids that Cap called in to help. If he saw something in them, then that made sense why he called them in. He must've needed every hand on deck that he could manage...

Uh oh.... Sam struck a bit of a nerve with that one. She didn't mean to but just Chris' evolving body language and tone were enough to make anyone see that she had stepped a little too far. "Chris.... I apologize. I didn't mean to overstep anything. I get a little gung ho about giving new recruits advice, and you are more than free to shut me down if I begin to ever get on my soap box." She apologized quietly, not wanting to make a big show about it. She felt bad that she had overstepped that line, and wanted to rectify her mistake as well as she could manage before really getting this case underway.

With an apologetic smile, Sam turned away from Chris to face the rest of the team, thinking about Ray and Darin. She almost had wanted Ray for this trip- despite his endless energy and fast cadence to his speech- he was a good kid. A kid nonetheless to Sam's eyes but a good one. She breathlessly chuckled to herself thinking about their first meeting when he gave everyone their own personal compliment and she shook her head at the memory, thinking to herself that the kid sure knew how to make an entrance.

"So how bad are we going to troll Darin for this?" she asked the team with a light chuckle. It wasn't like him to miss much, he was also young but a decent part of the team. Sam enjoyed having him along on cases, he provided a fresh perspective sometimes. Like she was sure Chris would as she got used to being out in the field with them. "Or will be he let off the hook since it was Memorial Day weekend?" She arched a brow at Lucian, wanting to hear his perspective in his lack of team this flight. If she was here with a family, then he could've been here as well. Hell Chris came after drinking and she was on time.
Thanks for the heads up. I'll switch it from pink if it's easier to read in a light blue or something brighter @Lord Wraith
@Smarty JonesI think it was the human. But the plot idea I had is coming up blank
@Smarty Jones Unfortunately, I can't remember what my big idea was! I feel terrible!

"I'm stubborn enough to make anyone talk..." She chuckled and leaned back, crossing her legs casually as she relaxed her posture, thinking a little. "Nothing I haven't handled before is my bet sir." She half smiled at Lucian with a small nod. Sam was confident in her skills, just studying the micro-expressions on their faces and inflections in their tones. Something so simple yet so effective in just telling the locals just enough of what they want to hear to gain cooperation. Beginner techniques but incredibly effective.

"Chris, I hate to sound like this person, but talking yourself out of those lingering questions is what helps keep us a bit sane." She shrugged, looking at her teammate with a slightly sympathetic expression. She had to remind herself on occasion that Chris was still green, she was still learning the ropes around the team, and being in the B.A.U. in general. "I used to ponder over the meaning of life constantly when I first started. I used to question in they were doing it for fun, or seriously disturbed.... I would go over old cases, read interviews about Manson, the Green River Killer, Dahmer- anyone notorious. I wanted to get inside their brain and I started to lose mine in the process. It's..." she paused, thinking of the correct word to explain how bad it can get if you don't let things go after a while.

"Dangerous is the word I want, I think?" She tilted her head, mulling over her words one more time. "Yeah, it can get dangerous if you don't separate work from home. I've seen the Bureau counselor more than once." She admitted, glancing at Lucian as the words came out of her mouth. Her mind began to remember a particularly tough case that they had been on, one involving children and it was back when she and Ben were just thinking about starting a family. She had baby fever- like any woman trying to conceive and this particular case hit her the hardest that year. She had been on cases involving children before, but she wasn't on that family mindset yet and every twist and turn on that case had her rethink everything: even staying a field agent.
I'm so sorry I suddenly went MIA this weekend!! Last trips moving and MAT work to do lol. I'll try and be on consistently Tuesday!

"Sir, I think that I should speak with law enforcement alone. There can't possibly be enough files to warrant both of us searching through them right?" She asked, arching a brow at Lucian as she removed an earbud from her ear. She wanted to do everything and anything besides sitting in a room and flipping through someone else's scribbles while they got to go out and do some dirty work. She selfishly figured that Chris would be more suited, and maybe more excited for something like that. The girl was a doctor after all...

She looked down at her half consumed coffee, making a mental note that it was her fifth cup and that she should honestly stop but she had been reading over the file on the flight, making idle case chatter with her team and had a list of questions for local law enforcement- like how they could have let it get to this point?

Mainly, she had questions regarding the victims, their families, their pasts, and any potential suspects that they have had their eye on. Were they tailing anyone at the moment? Any potential surveillance? Did they even have the manpower to do that on two or three potential men? It's not like she wouldn't be leaving Chris alone, she'd never do that if the situation didn't call for it but she needed to get them relaxed and talking to get a full read on how they'd compose themselves around her and the team.

From past experience- like clockwork they'd clam up and act as professional as possible around Lucian. It was habit considering he was in charge, calling the shots and directing them where to go to complete a case with as few casualties as possible. They would listen to Joseph, and she would be able to tell by their eyes, their lips and their brows if they'd be actually listening to him, or half listen and come up with their own conclusions anyway... Watching Dr. Aguilar converse with locals was interesting because she cared, she could tell that by how she held her posture and her eye levels. But people listened to her- to a point. They disliked feeling like they were being obviously profiled, but sometimes you had to do that in order to see behind the smile and between the lines. Sam just liked to get people comfortable, and willing to trust her If that took minutes, hours, one time it took two and a half days of just talking with the unsub to get him to give up his dumping ground. But that was her specialty- disintegrating barriers.

Looking back up, Sam finally paused her music and began to wrap up her headphones, sliding them into the table compartment in front of her on the plane to display that everyone had her full attention at this point.
