If I ever imply France in an RP where, for example, the context for calling something "French Toast" doesn't exist, you can know that's not me.

Bio

I'm a generally chill gomboblin that can be kinda particular. I grew up with plenty of electronics and video games, mostly with games like Final Fantasy, Zelda, and StarCraft. Lots of Nintendo. Dark Cloud is pretty sick. That's a lot of variety, and I do like to play a lot of different games. I like to blend magic and technology in my writing, bringing fantasy into space and sci-fi.

Magic in space is something that I find isn't done very much. Airships and spaceships could make for some cool centerpieces. Skies of Arcadia did a fantastic job of this. Perhaps that's not in space, exactly, but it's pretty close. Some of those ships may as well be space ships.

Ah hah! A magnemite! Strange that it had found its way here. Must have gotten lost, and holed up in here when it found out there was food. If she let it run away, it could just hide somewhere until she eventually goes away. She might be able to hunt it down again by having Kaebe track it, but she had to wonder how well he could track a metal pokemon.

She reacted quickly, already running for the door, “Kaebe, Tackle! Don’t let it out!” No roaring. This was an apartment complex, she’d disturb the whole building. She, herself, ran to block the door, as well, hoping Kaebe would be quick enough to intercept the metal ball. If not, they’d have a chase on their hands. She supposed chasing it away could be counted as a success, it would likely go and find s.. somewhere else to hide and suck the juice from.. but at least she’d be able to tell this complex she’d solved the problem. She’d rather not solve this that way.. And besides, Magnemite was a sturdy Metal/Electric Pokemon. It would be handy for handling electrical disasters.

“Can you grab it in your mouth? Hold it still so I can catch it.” She pulled a Pokeball, getting ready for Kaebe to hold the Magnemite for her.
We keep dancing but never getting to it.

Edit: Wow, that was... 20 hours ago. That'... 6 am? I have no excuse for this grammar.

Just some bog-standard bird Pokemon up here. “Hmm. Maybe it’s something up here besides a Pokemon? Something that would be of interest to a trainer.. I can’t imagine it would be some kind of item. Must be a pokemon, right? Or maybe a viewpoint.. We’ll check it out later, Kaebe. Maybe whatever it is will turn up. Now that we’ve swept the building, let’s look in the basement again.”

On the elevator ride back down, she crouched in the elevator and gave her cute little dino a lot of pets and attention. There was a rhythmic thumping against the side of the elevator as it descended, from his wagging tail.

Very dog.

The pair reentered the basement, and Regan went to the box that had been suspect. Even she couldu smell the burnt, but perhaps Kaebe could smell something more peculiar? Some kind of pokemon that wanted something to do with the electricity. Probably an electric type, if it wasn’t already done in by the potent electrical current.

"Whatcha smell, boy? Any Pokemon?" She lifted her chin to point forward, at the breaker box.

Stratya Durmand

Location: Castle Dining Hall

Boar Mantle of Spring Hunting
Family Dirk + Crest, worn on the right
Swordbreaker, also worn on the right
Interactions: Torvi @Tae, Alibeth @princess, Wulfric @Silverpaw
Mentions: Killian @Oso, Drake @Lava Alckon, Genevieve

The friendly voice drew her attention, a welcome salve in the face of the even building tension in the room. Torvi, sat in the seat next to her own rearranged seating. Herself, she’d yet to resume her seat. She smiled at the soft tone directed to her, turning her attention to the witch huntress, “ack, naaee, I’m made o’ sterrnah stuff ‘an tha’.” Aah, but then Killian spoke to her. He used a peculiar-sounding name that drew Torvi’s attention away quite effectively. Perhaps that was just as well, Stratya’s mind was dwelling on the Queen, and this spectacle she seemed to have put together.

Alibeth, apparently, relished in all this, just as the King beside her. Stratya turned to look at the woman in chains behind her, studying her for a moment, before her eyes turned back to the Queen. She had said violence? What violence? It could have been violent, there could have been poison.

Geneveieve. Understanding the conditions that Victoria’s staff must face, Stratya understood the need to let off a bit of steam. Did she think that tampering with the drinks at a party was a good way to let off steam? Nae, that’s a daft one, it is. And to use magic to do so. Even so, this display? Was all wrong.

Prince Wulfric had reappeared, and offered a drawling observation. She recognized that saucy attitude..

He was about to do something.

She waited for Wulfric to come to his seat and take it, but he never did. Instead, the Crown Prince stalked his way thence to come behind Alibeth. As he did, Stratya went to take her seat, but she stopped as she heard him reveal to the room that The Queen cast magic in his presence, even as he lay his hands on her shoulders. Somehow, tensions had just gotten higher. Though to the casual observer, he’d just thrown his mother to the wolves, the intent of his words portrayed something else.

This sort of bold maneuver needed support, but something else tugged at her, first, “When I ‘ear ‘witch’, y’know what kind o’ magic I think of? T’ kind that would le’ her rreach into yerr head and scrrape yourr though’s, t’ kynd tha’d le’ ye inject rrage into a perrson’s soul and se’ ‘em off on a whim, the kynd tha’d–” something caught in her throat. She took a quick swig of water or mead, it didn’t matter, “tha’d make ye terrn yer blade on y’ kin. Tha’s t’ kind o’ thing tha’ word brings tae me mynd. Changed t’ colour o’ a table cloth?”

Stratya resumed her seat, then. Getting worked up wouldn’t help anything, she had to stay calm, “comparred tae all these other magical fea’s, Majesty, changin’ t’ colour of a thing scarrecly seems cause f’rr concerrn, especially in ligh’ of t’ Queen’s efforts on be’alf of t’ Kingdom. Hones’ly, I’m not rreally su’prrised ‘err Grrace c’n cast a lit’le thing orr two. ‘err Majesty ‘as been spearr’eading th’ Kingdom’s magic ’untin’ efforts, and it’s a poa’ ‘un’err tha’ dunnae learrn o’ their quarry. So she knows ‘ow tae cast a lit’le magic. Suppose, even, she is a witch. Wha’ is she doin’ with tha’ knowledge, tha’ abili’y? ‘untin’ magic, f’rr t’ Kingdom. Is tha’ nae boon? Is that nae service tae th’ Gods?”

That gave her an idea. “this woman ‘ere.. Y’ Majesty, t’was said i’ was an act o’ violence against us, but t’ mos’ violen’ thing I saw come of t’ drrinks was someone fallin’ frrom t’ stage. ‘is ego migh’ be brruised, bu’ ‘e’s foyne. This waywarrd woman ‘erre,” Stratya motioned over her shoulder, “'oo made t' alcohol strronger, nae drrug, nae poison, nae violen' intent, needs dirrection an’ perrpose. The full punishmen' o' t' law, for witchcrraft, is death, 'at's trrue, but I dunnae think tha's th' anserr, 'erre. My ‘unt f’rr evil would seek moa knowledge. Perr'aps knowledge she 'olds could be useful to me? I woul'nae waste th' opporrtuni'y.”

The knight looked at Torvi, then, for a moment, speaking softly - to herself, really, "aah, but perr'aps I 'ave found knowledge, alrready..?" She took a swig of her mead before turning back to the Prince and Queen.

The copy gave a giggle as she was bumped, her long, blond hair swaying behind her. She considered what she’d just found out, humming softly before she would speak, “such a barely-used name hardly feels old, at all. If you consider time used as a name’s age, Alviva is newer.”

As the conversation turned to war, and Alviva offered her piece, Yumi looked at her with a shaving of concern, “maybe?” The warring period had not stayed so cavalier, but it had been an interesting period of warfare. Warfare became more.. effective, toward the end that era.

The horror of Rebeccas’s story was not lost on the copy Yumi. She was listening deliberately, being sure to retain this for Yumeiko. “That’s horrible. A flaming wax, that melts anything it touches.. war truly has changed.” It had only become more horrible. Was the battlefield not a place of honor and valor, anymore? Instead, it had become a place of horror and death..? There had always been death, but not like that. She reached out, tenderly placing a hand on Rebeccas’s shoulder.

“Let’s get back, already. Would you like a drink, Rebecca? We have a stash of sake.”
Question for the future: do I impersonate Miyuki or break poor Yumi's heart?
The red V-name right above my post made me think I accidentally posted in Umbra Condos for a brief moment.

Edit: Speaking of, I either have to pin down a caricature of Miyuki real quick or break poor Yumeiko's heart...

“Hey, hey, at least I was trying to give him more than half. Give him,” Regan turned and saw that David was no longer there. Must have buggered off, like she suggested. Hm, “twenty.. five..”

She looked toward the entrance for a moment, contemplating something before she turned back to the receptionist, “and 1500 for handling the thug.”

One transaction later, and Regan was off into the apartment building. She’d first want to check out the breaker box, before going for the roof. She’d do the roof anyway, just to be thorough. She might be able to get Faye up here, too.

She wasn’t one to snoop around a whole bunch. She wanted to be thorough, of course.. maybe Kaebe had a good sense of smell? She’d ask him if he smelled pokemon.

@Zapdos@Remram

Whew, things had recovered nicely. The receptionist was now quite pleased - with her, specifically. She considered what she aught to be paid to look into a problem pokemon, and what a mechanic or other maintenance services might cost the apartment complex.

You had to start high, right? “Alright, I’ll give you a bargain. 7000 GP.”

She named her price, and then looked at David for a moment before coming back to the receptionist, “and.. 4000 for him.” If David complained, she would lower it by 500 at a time.

The PokèWorld equivalent of 110 bucks, all together. Perhaps a little steep, but she expected haggling. Or, the place was rich enough to just pay that, and she should have gone higher. She’d find out.
