Day 5: Morning

Nymna listened to the pale goblin's response, she nodded a few times in affirmation as the large Hobgoblin explained things and tossed her the bracelet. She took it and put it on as she listened, at first looking mildly shocked as her vision changed into the sort of things Luz was seeing. Was this maybe a tool for perception of the soul? That was the first thought that came to her mind as she considered who this gift was from, and what the goddess presided over. It seemed logical enough a guess, anywho, until or unless hard answers were garnered at some point if the goddess desired to answer such questions. Whatever the case, Nyma continued to listen, once in a while adjusting the spider corpse being carried on her back.

So having dedicated her kill to the goddess with this guy around....fufufu, the strength from each kill would only be even greater for her and the others! A most welcome thing, and she felt in a better mood with that in mind. A small wry smile again came to her face as she continued to listen to Gird and Luz's rules for hunting and such things, the idea of hunting with fellow worshippers being appealing to her, though she was also surprisingly glad Barth wanted to come along regardless of not wanting to partake in Duvelna worship. He'd been compliant, yes, but beyond that he'd been helpful, testing of the situation with the spider and overall useful to the aim of killing their opponent. Plus she felt a small soft side for the happy doofus who seemed to love risks, whom she'd been working with so far, though she dared not tell him that.

Still, she could use a similar stance as the spider (as she had in this fight) for future hunting experiences, as a measure to attack or defend in good measure. Even pounce better onto prey if needed, for that matter.

She also payed some attention to what the other Hobgoblin said as well, before giving a light but subtle chuckle.

"Yeah, i'm Nyma, and honestly i'm glad the goddess heard my prayer to her and sent you two this direction. Honestly, on seeing Gird here walk up, and not instantly go for our throats, i had some suspicions about the matter of if you two were enemies or not, or perhaps i took a gamble like Barth here," she said to Luz in honesty but also her usual blunt manner, somewhat amused by Luz's own somewhat obvious attempt to get Gird's attention on a personal note. Not hard to potentially see the bit of feelings at least that one of those two hobgoblins maybe had anyways.

But she then looked to Gird, before speaking once more with some added gusto then before.

"I can agree to those rules without issues. I'd be glad to join the hunt for more spiders, and we can see how useful the venom is as well later. Maybe see if that could be used against bigger game in time. Ah....but yeah, i'm ready to go right now, but Barth needs his spear back, or at least something to use while we are out killing spiders anyways."

If nothing else maybe Barth could find a decent branch and do something like put web on the end to stick it to enemies. Or something to compensate if his spear was somehow truly lost for the time being.

Name: Li Shuwen, “Demon Fist Master”, “Divine Spear Li”

Gender: Male

Appearance:

Personality: A man, a martial artist, and a servant whose desire is devoted to the challenging of formidable and tough enemies. That being said, he is also of the sort who might potentially be considered a “badass” by the general onlooker. He carries no regret or grudges from his past life, though has a sort of loyalty-based fondness for the master whom he was forced to separate from in being brought to “this world”. Related to this he feels a sense of honor to return to his master’s side since their contract was not through, and he quite enjoyed the tough battles he was having on their side to boot.

Prideful, serious, and energetic in battle, to him being able to get to know his opponent and make conversation with them is the ultimate in luxury he feels he could have when it comes to his enemies. Further, to fight on one’s life and face a situation where either side could lose their lives is to him the core of martial arts itself.

If his own sense of rationality, he has no hesitation in aiming to kill them on the spot. This being said, he personally does not see a great difference between the concepts of “good” and “evil”, and he could use his fists for either a good or evil cause as long as it was desirable to him personally.

Brief History: A powerful Chinese martial artist who was famous for needing “no second strike” according to his own skills and boasts. There is an individual in “this” world that corresponds to him, though they are different individuals in that they originate from different worlds. Regardless, his fists killed many in life, making him more like a professional killer than a martial artist in a sense, and in the end his life was cut down and his soul was preserved in the Throne of Heroes. He was also recorded within the records of a machine hidden inside of the moon, called “The Moon Cell Automaton”.

He was eventually summoned/recruited by a certain professional killer who sought to make a brother win a conflict called the “Holy Grail War”. In this conflict he arose under the Assassin class. Then from here he went through issues where he became a Berserker after his master couldn’t accept defeat, and was finally brought to a merciful end. Then upon the end of this conflict, he was recruited again by a certain Roman Emperor to serve in her forces alongside the winner of the war itself who was his (and said emperor’s) master. Having sworn his loyalty to said master, and now disappeared amidst a bad situation whilst fighting for her and that emperor, he desires to return to his world that he may continue his fight.

That being said, to enjoy the thrill of tough fights in this new world could still provide the greatest pleasure for an individual such as himself. At least until he is able to return home to be able to fulfill his contract.

Universe of Origin: Nasuverse, specifically Fate/Extella

Equipment: His carries the clothes he has on his body, but nothing more.

Abilities:

-His skills in Chinese Martial Arts, specifically Bajiquan, are nothing short of a true master, and both unarmed or even with a spear he is nothing short of deadly.

-With his level of martial arts skill, he has also achieved a skilled dubbed “Sphere Boundary”, where by bringing his Qi in line to synchronize with the world he renders himself invisible and imperceptible to others. However, by moving to attack this ability drops in efficiency though his invisibility is still maintained. However, in the absence of any preparation for offensive action, he remains utterly imperceptible even on physical contact.

-As a servant, similar to a certain “Saber”, he is a servant, and thus mundane forms of damage must be incredibly strong in order to even damage him.

-He is also rather strong and agile as well.

-He also boasts an attack called “No Second Strike”, a sum of martial arts skill that became a Noble Phantasm that is the quintessence of his martial arts. A one-shot attack that requires no name to be called or uttered, simply willing to utilize it upon a foe and striking them. Said attack essentially kills targets through “engulfing them with Qi” and causing what in modern times is called “circulatory shock”, skewing the nervous and circulatory systems and things such as the “magic circuits” of his world. Such an attack is capable of killing others servants in one shot, if not cutting their ability to receive magical energy from their master if they survive, and with that in mind it is an attack that should not be underestimated (against viable enemies).

Other: (none)
@Jangel13 Ah, speaking of killing things, how much EXP did Nyma and Barth get for the spider kill? XD

Nyma tried to dedicate the kill to Duvelna, so not sure if that worked unless Gird was close enough or such.

But still, i am curious. :P
@Kheliop He could always come up with the idea to make bets with Nyma over things, and whether he wins or loses he's still gambling? Maybe that'd work, haha! XD
@Kheliop If he is going to be the "Gamblin' Goblin", we need him to find a god/goddess of Luck and align to them.

And he needs a cowboy hat. For no reason other than just needing a cowboy hat. And that certain Kenny Rogers song i think

Ahem....anyways, look forward to seeing Reusable's response. XD
@Jangel13 Also, i think the new evolution tree is.....AMAZING!!! :D

Thank for the work you put into this RP, Jangel!

I have posted!

Now Barth can become spider man if he wants too. A luchadore spider man after this latest feat! XD

Day 5: Morning

Nyma breathed an initial sigh of relief as the spider's form stopped moving, dead in its tracks, its blood staining the end of her spear. Ah....that was finally over. She drug Barth from off the top of the spider corpse, before pulling the corpse off of the web with a bit of tugging. Setting it on the ground before her, she took a knee, uttering the words 'I dedicate this kill to the goddess Duvelna. May i be found worthy of her favor' quietly enough where, 'hopefully', Barth might not hear. Though after paying respects to the goddess with the offering of this kill, a small, wry smile came to her face at the acquisition of her new skill. Albeit, Barth perhaps got this as well since he helped after all. She then stood, licking the spider blood off of the end of her spear to taste, and noting the gooey nature but somewhat delectable taste it also had. Ah!

Reaching out her hand at the corpse of the spider that she had pulled onto the ground proper, Nyma shot several strings of sticky silky web from her fingers onto the back of the spider. It was not really a thing she could control, spraying out oddly all over the back of the spider corpse, but the end result was the same. She used the other end of her strings, plucked harmlessly from the tips of her fingers, and tied them together to make a makeshift harness, the spider corpse being attached to it. She then slipped on this sticky, silky web harness onto her back with the spider corpse now carried on her back.

She wanted to eventually bring this back home, grab some sticks near the cave to make a fire, and see if this thing could be roasted up. At least, after tasting the raw meat of the beast and seeing if such was needed. If the blood was any indication in how she liked it, this spider corpse would be a delightful meal. Barth could share as well, but if he didn't want it then she could eat the whole thing herself if needed. Plus see if it had venom sacks and salvage those for later. Still, on her back she noted that the spider was heavy, but not as much as she had thought at first. She could manage it, though its size was comparable to her and Barth very much so.

"Good job, Barth. We got the little asshole pinned down finally!" the female goblin said as she looked over at Barth, giving him a toothy grin and a thumbs-up. The excitement over the first kill was not something lost on her, at least, despite the danger. Actually, to her it was a relief, a confidence-boosting thing of sorts, though as she then continued to speak she began to mull mentally and aloud over her next thought, "Hmmm....just grab another of those sticks like the kind we used to make the spears, unless you think you can pull your spear out. Just in case. But honestly, we've seen how these things operate now, so i wonder if we could mange to kill another and bring them both back home to break down and use...hmm..."

Looking away from Barth for a moment, she looked back to the large, pale Goblin.....maybe hobgoblin? Either way this individual that had come near them in the midst of battle, standing there without a word. She approached the larger form of this creature, looking up at it with a spear in her left hand and other hand supporting one of the silken straps of the harness. The mark on the pale thing's chest gave off a vibe that felt...somewhat familiar to Nyma in a manner of speaking. Perhaps because combined with this Goblin's appearance it seemed to say "death" or at least give off a vibe along those lines.

"I suppose you were one of the Goblins that woke up earlier than us? Regardless, i'm Nyma, and i and my companion Barth here came here to hunt spiders," Nyma said to Gird without flinching, getting to the point of what she wanted to say but not being unfriendly about it, "What's your purpose in coming to us here?"

Scylla
Servant Berserker

Near The Redrock Catholic Church: "A Real Tree-t for the Eyes"

Sounds of fear, something she was very used to, but that in this situation were things she had to pay attention to. A family, freaking out at looking at two servants fight. So late at night, so much in the dark, it.....it felt too convenient. Her predatory instincts as a monster could not help but draw such a conclusion. She'd killed and eaten many, slain the sailors of Odysseus, fought (even if she was killed by) Heracles. To go into the night into places where few to no people might be, that was a risk that might fit best for going about a human city that was secure enough. But for she whom has lived far longer as monster than maiden, her instincts rang out to her that this was some sort of trick. Whether for right or wrong, she truly didn't know, she only had what she had to go on. To act on.

And furthermore, she had to put her master's safety first in this situation. Sensibility of her actions be damned!

Grabbing another tree, the small Berserker hefted the large tree in the direction of the "scared" family with again a frightening ease for such a small individual. The war could not be exposed, that Grail had told her that much, and frankly she couldn't think of another action right now on the fly. Unless impeded, then to her perspective the thrown projectile would potentially smash them to a pulp in one shot, and someone would clean it up. Maybe if this opponent valued the secrecy, or if this war's neutral party wanted to ensure things weren't discovered. As a monster, she frankly didn't care if the family was obliterated underneath the weighty, thick trunk of the tree, so long as it solved the situation and potentially distracted her opponent. After all, the man seemed far more human than she, she could virtually tell that on sight as a monster.

Then immediately after grabbing and throwing the tree, the small Berserker blitzed over to where her master and master's companion were. Scooping them up in each arm, Scylla began to flee away from the Church, moving at speeds that would be safe for the two females in her arms.

'Master, we've got to go somewhere safe!' the small Berserker communicated to her master over their mental link as she continued the process of fleeing.

Cymbeline Lockhart

Cymbeline had, before leaving, noticed her twin lightly shaking her head from the corner of her eye. That was very much normal Elissa, but in this case she probably did want to help in the chase too. Or perhaps had some sort of objection, but wasn't voicing it due to the situation. Regardless, the half-Nem mage felt that she would be hearing about all of this later. At least, once her sister was done at the nearest bar for the night. Twas' the usual, but....she was somewhat used to it, especially with the hijinks her drunk sister could get into. Safe to say, back home, before they had joined the Iron Rose Knights, she had showed up once naked at her room door whilst rambling about if potatoes had souls in her drunken slur.

But as she rode close along aside the Captain, sitting atop her own somewhat shorter brown pony, she was lightly biting her bottom lip. If that witch attacked, she wanted to....defend the captain, be there for her. It was an Iron Rose Knight's duty to protect their captain, after all, though personal feelings did come into play for her personally as well. Regardless, the observed effects of the dark magic attack, plus the power of the spell that had been upon the Earl, meant that this foe was nothing to scoff at in any manner. Mage curiosities about the dark magic being used aside, she was more concerned that they would be the sitting ducks against a witch that strong and dark. To that end, she'd placed a sigil on the Captain's back on the way out, it was a "damage redirection" sigil in effect like she had placed in her earlier arrangement for removing the dark spell from the Earl.

If they got into bad danger, then at least she could take damage for the Captain. Or at least, soak up as much damage herself as the sigil could transfer over if the Captain was hit by a beam like the one from earlier...or was otherwise harmed that is. It was potent dark magic they would be potentially facing, but if it was that beam again she doubted a perfect redirection of all the damage would be possible.....though less than that beam might be a lot more manageable for the sigil in question in her mind. All she had to go on with her guess was the dark sigil she had broken down and the beam from earlier anywho.
