Because the only other game anyone is talking about that comes out that day is a Steven Universe game and I know there's no way they're selling trash for that price.

Probably something to do with the new banlist, apparently effective November 6th. They limited 4 cards, including Set Rotation, SPYRAL Drone, and SPYRAL Quik Fix. The fourth is Gofu.
Why did they plan a tourney right before a banlist? At least that basically kills the SPYRAL deck.
