Taric

level: 2
day/time: 3 - evening
Location: the streets of platform city
Interacting with: @ONL, @Guardian Angel Haruki, @Zarkun, @Majoras End
Cooldowns:
Bastion: 2/2. linked ally: none
Starlight's Touch: 0/6

Taric was not built for speed. In the end even the turtle overtook him using his surprisingly quick wheelchair to reach speeds that could give ramus a run, or rather roll, for his money. Had Taric been a different man he could have found this irritating, but then again, as he hadn't bought boots yet being outpaced wasn't really that surprising. The fabulous support hero merely had a brief cuckle to himself at the continued absurdity of what an odd situation he had ended up in and then kept on running. As a result of his lack of speed Taric only caught the tail end of the situation around the interception of hunter, just managing to here James’ instructions.

”No break for me then. Onwards to the castle!” he shouted goodnaturedly as he approached the group, only to keep up the pace and continue is jog towards the castle, inside of which Naija was having a minor panic attack.

Naija

level: 5
day/time: day 3
Location: Tetris Castle
Interacting with: @Holy Soldier

oh nononononononono. You can't die. I can't lose another one. Niaja half whispered to herself as she tried to administer to the wounded Guile. She was not a doctor. She barely know what a Doctor was. The opportunity to stop the intruders had passed and what little parts of Naija’s mind that weren't in crisis where busy kicking the bits that where for not going to fight instead of floundering around being useless. The soup having failed she tried to use the Tasty cake to heal him, but that did little to help either, the wounds that it sealed shut slicing themselves open as if offended by the very notion that food could fix them, leaving her inventory empty save for the useless keys and strange feather she had looted from the arena wreckage. As she tried to physically hold the man's wounds shut in she glanced around looking for anything that might help, only to be reminded that Morvin Solus was in the room, knocked out in a pile of cables. Naija thought that either he needed or could provide help, but she daren’t leave Guil’s side, so she shouted at the newly arrived pink person whose name she had gotten from guiles attacker, hoping they’d be willing to help.

”Kirby! Wake Dr Solus! Maybe can help Guil? Please hurry!”

@OfWindAndRain
Well, thing is that a suitably advanced species could find a way to power exodus ships like these Arks without having to dump so much material into them, not to mention most of the space the ship occupies would be dedicated to the dwarf star anyways. During the long voyage, the ships could rely namely on scoops for the intermittent material scattered in the void, and stored reserves. Since most of the inhabitants will be on stasis anyways, and you mentioned that the ships are relying mainly on their initial velocity, the only power the ships would need to expend would be on maintenance.

All that considered, they wouldn't need to be quite as large as you have them now, but could still be relatively sizeable. This is even taking into account that there would only ever be one or two in this galaxy. Bigger is not always better after all.

on top of maintenance you also need to run the stasis field generators for millions of years, so you really need some kind of long lived power-source. Also the arks are suppose to be massive unwieldy monuments of hubris, because the only reason they built them rather than, say, firing hard drives filed with brain blueprints at other galaxy using rail cannons, is their elitist focus on having your original body. That said, I agree that a spacecraft twice the size of Jupiter is excessive so how about:

An ark's primary component is the dwarf star that has sustained it's journey across the void between galaxies. these stars are so small they are on the verge of being classified as gas giants but they are incredibly long lived and stable , making them n ideal source of power for systems requiring eons of operation time. this star is surrounded in a web of energy collectors that harvest heat and light from the dull star to power the stasis units holding it's dwarven passengers, and an array of magnets and shield projectors that hold the star steady in the grasp of the ark. the rear of this rig features a large array of boosters that initial sped up the ark and will also be used to slow it down upon arrival. At the front is the only solid part of the web, a ship/station, known as the Hearth, that is about the size of Germany. the Hearth houses everything the Mayall need to start restart their society in a new galaxy, such as the stasis held Dwarves themselves, backups of Demi minds, cloning equipment, bio material for slave/food production, manufacturing facilities and a vast array of smaller vessels docked in hangers or on it's surface.

also it probably shouldn't be in the military section
@DracoLunaris Most of the app is fine, I actually think the cultural divide resulting from their biotech is pretty neat, as is their extragalactic origins. Only real point of concern is the whole "Ark" thing. Gotta dial it down man, like those things are huge, and you have them as basically military super-weapons if I'm reading it right. My personal take on it is this. The Arks would be fine being rather large(Not nearly as much as you have them now) but only defensively armed. Not equipped enough to take out planets, or fend off entire military fleets, but modestly armed enough to ward off things like pirates or small incursions.

on the fire power I agree that that description is, in hind sight, excessive and a rather un-thematic/illogical design. putting guns on it wastes time/resource that could be put into making another one or making it more lily to survive the trip after all.

as for the size, does the fact that there is only going to be one, possibly two, of them in the narrative/galaxy elevate that issue or would you rather I still shrink them down? If so by how much?
