Yeah, Gods of War require a living pilot to guide them. They can be asked to do automatic stuff (e.g punch this mountain until I get bored), but as far as being fully autonomous goes, naw. It's also no longer a God of War if it's just human-sized thing. Their whole schtick is that they can wrestle with giant rift-beasts and cause silly amounts of property damage. But yeah, Gods of War are ancient. No one knows how they were constructed, nor am I going to divulge any of that information early on.

That being said, there can totally be a God of War optimized towards speed. Hell, there might be an NPC one that flies. Talentium can certainly rend the armor of a God of War, but blows that would be fatal for a human would just be a scratch for a God of War. Talentium users can come out on top against these mechas, but that doesn't mean the reverse doesn't apply. Only reason HUMANS don't wear armor is because they don't have thick enough armor to wholly protect their fleshy innards from the length of a blade.

Seriously though, I am sorta stoked to see someone finally take the third option. XD

EDIT: I'll say this though. If you spirtually bonded with a God of War, it may or may not be similar to bonding yourself with an object. e.g a living hell where all you can do is observe as others use you for their needs.

Asuras is wrong. They defeated the first rift-beast in a dance-off, and it committed sudoku after it lost.

More seriously though, yeah, with enough firepower you can kill it.
RIP. See ya.
Dimensional Doors sound fun.
Essentially nothing important happened.
@Lord of Evil
No one has been accepted yet. Appplications close on Sunday and that's when I'll start selecting. So go for it.
@Lemons
Should be fine. Note that your character will have no affinity with Talentium.
Yes. Operation Shirk-Responsibilities-and-Hand-Off-the-Problem-to-Someone-Else was successful. It really was a good idea to read up on what the police were doing for the festival, huh? Always paid to be aware of those things, especially when your focus was on having as much fun as possible. Still, it was a shame that Ren had to go off to lead an adult man through the festival.

“Sure thing,” Hiraku said, masking his disappointment, “We’ll save a big portion for you, yeah? Well, Aoi, time to work out those arms of yours, eh? Five kilograms of rice to mash through, after all.”

Rolling up his own sleeves, Hiraku was about to head back to the stall in order to complete the transaction, when the satori’s expression became serious. Her antennae were twitching, and internally, the blue-haired youth was groaning about the possibility that she just detected another troublesome incident nearby.

“What’s up?” he said, “Detected another lost child?”

It's like you didn't read up on anything at all in the first post and decided it was better to copy information from TheFake's CS instead of look at the actual CS template that has specific instructions about various things.

You're out.

@SilverDawn
Astopolian colors are blue and white. That's a color code for him to aggro onto.

Dude's a hell of a tsundere though. Goddamn just make up your mind.

If he uses his spears as a weapon, can other people also grab onto them? Or not? Essentially, are these spears physical? Magical? Intangible?

A curse that curses you with immortality and regeneration AND keeps your sanity in check is not a curse. Let's say that he gains this auto-regen ability by passively sapping the life force of those around him, as well as interfering with healing magic. A curse that ensures solitude, perhaps.

@Lemons
I'll say that these Ashphols can recharge their essence by absorbing more natural lightning, because having only four years of life is sorta annoying, cause it takes time to learn shit as well. Would the basic human form look totally like a human?

Also, would an Ashphol be considered a living being? Or is it just an elemental with a mind?

@Jerkchicken
I dislike the idea of a dog, even a magical one that can speak and shit. Doesn't seem to fit the setting I have in mind and it sounds too outlandish. Essentially what Click said.

Bards exist. They're singers and musicians. Magic that comes from song is also a thing, but it's too slow to properly incorporate into combat that can go supersonic. Buffing up other individuals is possible, but, like healing magic, Talentium only increases the amount of people that can be affected, not the potency of the buff.
@ERode

I was thinking a monster called an Ashphol, which is essentially what happens when wild lightning comes into prolonged contact with Talze Utera. They are born full-formed from pure elemental lightning, but only live for four years, at the longest. They can freely manipulate their own lightning, but doing so drains directly from their essence, slowly reducing the amount of time they have to life. That cool?

What do you mean by prolonged contact? As far as I know, natural lightning strikes occur in an instant and then disappear?

And if they're made out of pure elemental lightning, then can't their bodies be manipulated by other magical people?
