Dude probably saw his parents having sex before he was abandoned. Traumatized him for laifu.
@Bigg Slamm
Probably Dansila or Talze Utera, but Talze Utera is more like demon-worshipping and all that. Illiserev just believes in money.
@Renny
So it's something that happened after the tournament already concluded, not during the tournament?

And there's probably going to be a limit to Relena's Left as well. Sounds like you can just charge it up to obscene amounts by hitting fodders until you get to x100, but conceptually, it's not that terrible. Talentium battorus are usually more centered on dodging and parrying anyways, due to how powerful the attacks exchanged are.

As I stated before, being able to multiply the power of an already present buff afterwards is pretty stronk. If he moves at the speed of sound, for example, dropping Ecva's Love would then make him go Mach 6, which is sorta...yahhhhhhh. I'd say give those two buff thingies a time limit or have him sustain intense physical damage when he activates these things.

If he was a powerful swordsman back in the day, he would have been in the military and then, in the war. Not much room for adventuring and all, between trying to survive being on the frontlines against the Empire and trying to deal with rift-beasts without Talentium and crusading against the menagerie within Talze Utera. If he picked up an artifact there, it'd be more likely that it'd be destroyed to sent off to the church for purification rather that just being something he wears.
@TheFake
Mimicry will be fine.

Just note that she'll be a super glass cannon for now. Females don't get Talentium buffs to their physique, so if she gets hit, that shit's gonna hurt like hell.

@Lemons
Should be doable? Give me more details though.
@Polaris North
Naw, it's just what they get if they don't have ze magical option.

@addamas
That question surfaces because it doesn't seem like you caught the whole idea of Astopol being a theocratic nation that is actively being blessed by a Goddess? That's why I'm asking about the whole religion thing, because most knights are paladin-esque individuals.

Talentium does indeed enhance the strength of one's magic, because they channel through it. Think of it as the difference between the engine of a racing car and of a beat-up old car. You get much more out of your fuel in one car than the other, but only if you put said fuel in the engine to begin with. That's why Sword Arts were developed, in order to harmonize one's physical attacks with their magical attacks.

Yeah, I specifically want five or less points because I ONLY want the very bones of a biography.

@Marshall
If you're magically powering your armor, you could also just be manifesting magical barriers, which is more flexible while having equal or greater defensive capabilities. No one even cared for gunpowder in a world where explosion magic is a thing.

@Renny
Woo, best sword boyyyyyyy

Considering the nature of Talentium, tournaments, especially upscale ones, would be monitored rather heavily, both to protect participants and audience. You're talking about superhumans duking it out when they don't even necessarily have the durability to stay alive, after all. I think it'd make more sense if something went wrong in a crusade in Talze Utera rather than a fighting tournament.

To confirm, does Brave Lodall and Ecva's Love increase his physical attributes on top of the boost he gets from Talentium? Or not? Cause it's sort of a case where if not, he's REALLY weak, and if yes, he's REALLY strong.

Also, to further elaborate...

Sword Skills are techniques, not just straight up buffs or stuff like that. They're special moves that have obtained the ability to warp reality for the sake of a singular desire. If you go full animu reference, if someone really wanted to cut down a swallow, they'd obtain the ability to strike three times simultaneously. If someone really wanted to be able to launch anyone in the air with an uppercut, they'd have an uppercut that can unconditionally launch any enemy, no matter how unreasonably massive.

On the other hand, the physical boost they get from Talentium is in line more with their image of what 'strength' is. People who imagine that 'strength' is the ability to endure would get their physical boost skewed towards durability, while someone who imagines 'strength' as the ability to beat down those in their path would get their physical boost skewed towards striking power.

So yeah.

Lodall's Band sounds pretty evil. What's up with that? XD

Guess this could serve as a visual sample of just how crazy fights can get?

Probably not that much property destruction tho.
@Asuras
Just lip service, Asu. Making sure that others don't start asking about why she's so OP. XD
@Skyswimsky
Nice mention, Skys. Some real 10/10 BBCoding skill right there.

Anyways, in regards to the cloak thing, I'd say that if she wants to hide her gender, she'd have bound them. Zub zub sarashi and all that.

I'd imagine that, with the advent of talentium, it's not that hard to find someone with healing magic. After all, basically all females have magical abilities, so a good portion of them could pick up healing magic.

Having different costumes makes sense and sounds pretty fun. Also nice to have a character that actually has a wardrobe, compared to all these 'lol I only have one outfit because I don't want to think up more' peeps. XD

Just give me a general 'amount' and effects for them right now.
@Vega7285Probably better off not thinking about this.

GM's been gone for 8 days and all.
@Skyswimsky
"Hi, I want to play as Reaper, a sci-fi shotgunning edgelord from a popular Smite rip-off, in a fantasy RP."

A voice changer would make it hard to discern her gender, if it wasn't for her D/E-cup boobs. A healer that doesn't use healing magic isn't going to find TOO much business, unless she specializes more in dealing with illnesses rather than injuries.

Is she the type of serial killer that unfailing leaves no witnesses? Cause that get up is SUPER DUPER DISTINCT. I'll assume that she's so far only killed normal people.
a simple strike with a weapon - or shot with a gun - is followed by a bunch more - quick enough in succession to feel like a single, stronger, attack.

As of right now, Skyler's shadows are not capable of imitating her ranged capabilities

Explain this disparity.

How many cartridges does she have, specifically? I'm assuming these are special shits that she has a limited amount of. And what are their effects?

@addamas
How religious is Phoebe?

Is there a particular reason why you went out of your way to go full scientific with 'manipulation of air pressure and waves', when chances are, no one would even understand that?

Just have it as vibration magic or something. She can microwave shit or make noise and all that. Sounds simpler. Also, note that if she's boosting shit with Talentium, only her daggers will be able to say, freeze or tear apart things. You channel through your talentium weapon, not just have it be an accessory that improves your magic.

Magical abilities are not awakened. They aren't powers. You can have innate magic talent, but you can't just awaken to a set of powers. Gotta pursue a school of study.

Also, as I said before, I want 5 or less life-changing events. Not more.

@Polaris North
Heh. Last time someone was Alexis, they got tossed into the sex trade.

Note that if a male shows the ability to use magic, they most likely will be coveted in Illiserev and receive stuff along the lines of super duper hardcore training to further exploit their abilities. All recorded males with magic have more or less been prodigies and such. There'd be a hell lot of expectations of the unreasonable sort when it comes to Alexis's combat capabilities.

Also, if she was a 'he' with magical capabilities, it wouldn't be a surprise that Talentium boosts her magic.

In regards to Arts, they aren't singular techniques. It's more of a combat style rather than just a bunch of spells they can pull off. Runic magic is wholly different from elemental magic. She'll actually need prep time for Five Pillars of Light.

@Asuras
Boobs literally bigger than her head. She should have gotten herself a Talentium bra instead and crush heads with those mammaries.

Basically have no real problems with it, as long as you understand that it's possible to withstand her nukes and power through her defenses.

@TheFake
You fucking monster, photoshopping a tattoo on such a cute girl's face.

Seriously though, what sort of idiot slaver would tattoo the FACE of a female slave?

Why is she arrogant when she's literally been stepped on her whole life?

Being a quick learner isn't an ability unless you're saying that she can, say, pick up a foreign language in a month. Manual labour and shit isn't hard to learn.

To confirm, she doesn't know a Sword Art, she just knows a spell and gets by with just swinging her sharp stick around?

@Jerkchicken
An actual dog is sketchy. So no.

@Marshall
Armor is basically just decorative for any Talentium user who's worth their salt. Attacks from Rift Beasts and Talentium users can easily cleave through armor.

Also, those Brotherhood of Steel pics belong more to a sci-fi RP than anything else. Firearms exist, but no one uses them because it's just magic. Essentially, you'd just be considered a quirky mage.

@Jerkchicken
Just discuss here or PMs.

@Marshall
Literally had an applicant that had a gun spamming Reaper wannabe.
