@EchoicChamber Yeah, Percy and Malik can really get along. Maybe the Jakanes performed for the Pelacours. They are apart of the council, by the way.

I moved Malik's sheet to the same post as Britney btw.

Now, the one thing I have in mind now when making new characters is interesting relations with the other ones. I had an idea for a person angry that his family were used as soldiers in the war (and did a good part), and his peeps received little recognition for dying for the other families.

That said,

Description:
Malik Jakane is a proud Nigerian teen. He has an aura of a prince around him, with the way he dresses, his height, and his general disposition. However, he isn't the least bit threatening as he has the demeanor of a generally laidback, and carefree person. He is very energetic, and bouncy as a person. Making quick, and spastic movements. He definitely isn't someone who can sit still for too long, as all that energy cannot be contained! Most of all, he was stated to have the greatest smile in the world.

That said, Malik is very tall, at six feet tall, and seven inches. He's gigantic, and his frame is rather thin. He has a layer of muscle from being a performer. That's right. Malik is a performer. He's capable of dance, and many other acrobatic feats. Which supplements his incredible height really well.

And, for the record, Malik doesn't have dreadlocks made out of snow. He just made them as a joke. He has black cornrows. But, one feature of the Jakane family that makes them easily identifiable is their bright blue eyes.

Personality:
A kind and easygoing kind of guy.

Malik's a generally kind, and easy going kind of person. One who isn't afraid of interacting with other people, and doesn't have any prejudice. Which makes it easy for Malik to make friends with people. He's very loud, and stand out, and tends to attract attention to himself. Through his exaggerated and energetic body movements, and his loud speech. He has a smile on his face most of the time. Whenever he interacts with people, he definitely is laid back, and easy going. He often jokes, and tells stories of his many adventures throughout the world (Whether or not they're true is up to debate). He isn't the kind of person who gets worked up, or angry easily. He takes life through the easy route. Oddly enough, he keeps well composed at all times. He seemingly has a way with people, and tends to be quite charming. He just likes befriending people.

Though, he comes off as a bit goofy sometimes, bumbling at worst. Making careless mistakes, and often making a fool of himself at the worst possible moments. Along with his attitude, he tends to be ignored by other, more serious-minded, people as nothing more than background noise. That annoys him a bit, but it certainly doesn't cause. What doesn't help this goofy character trait is that he tends to say things that can be misinterpreted, and that causes him problems when more aggressive people confront him. When he has the best interests at heart.

Malik is heterosexual, but he isn't particularly interested in sex. He can be swayed if he's attracted to someone enough, but he is more interested in romance than having sex with someone. Since Malik was always a guy that was about interpersonal connections, and friendship, than boning every female in sight. He is quite flirty, however, if he sees a girl that adheres to his brand of tastes. Though, he isn't persistence, or weird about it. If he's turned down, then, hell, he isn't going to lose his mind and murder someone. He'll take a kind lady's friendship if they'll give it to him, and keep it completely platonic.

Skills:
Performance! Malik Jakane is the life of the stage, baby! He's long outgrown his stage fright, and loves the stage. He can dance, sing, and do all that.

Ice-Skating! This is something that is hereditary to the Jakane family, but they are just really good at ice skating.

Acrobatics! Malik is extremely acrobatic due to his training.

Weaknesses:
Well, for starters, Malik doesn't really know when to close that fat mouth of his! He often digs himself a hole so deep that you'll need a helicopter to lift himself out of it! He crosses lines and boundaries unintentionally sometimes. In addition, Malik has literally no idea how to fight, with or without his magic. Years of using his magic for performance does that.


Brief History:
I'm gonna be brief since I really don't feel like writing a history.

The Jakane family are different from the other magical families. Instead of being an esteemed family that are proud warriors, or wizards, or whatever, the Jakane family were performers originating in Africa. They put on grand shows for the other magical families, and having a lot of money. They had ties all over the world! They had a special form of Aquamancery that specialized in snow, and snow-based spells. But, they just used them for their performances! The Jakane family's passion was entertainment, and no other family could deliver!

Then the war with the cult began, and the worst few years of their life began. A lot of the Jakanes were ill-prepared for the war, as a lot of them were killed. Including Malik's father. Malik himself was literally born days before the war against the cult, so he missed the war. He could only feel the scars of the war on his family as he grew up.

After the death of Malik's father, his grandfather appointed his uncle as the patriarch of the family, and Malik was more or less raised by him. The family slowly recovered from the war, and Malik was introduced to the family's line of work. Even picking up their Aquamancery style. But, once Marchand was opened, Malik was sent there on an expedited trip to represent the Jakane family. To improve himself so he can become the next head of the Jakane family.

Malik couldn't hardly wait.

Orientation time.

Something that Britney was looking very forward to, but she was thrown off by the fact she couldn't tell the so called "Professor of Pyromancery and Magical Theory"'s gender. Amazing. Well, the magical community was the real freak of society, so a crossdresser was probably the least weird thing this school had to offer. God, she was annoyed she was so disconnected from the other families she had nary a clue who anyone here was!

But, on the other hand, she (as Britney was going with for now) really didn't tell them anything useful. 'I'm the professor,' was literally the only thing that Britney didn't know! The second the speech was done, Britney merely turned her head, and couldn't care less about Madison. And she definitely was not going to stick around and clean. What was this school so poor that it couldn't afford janitors?

So, she had all the time in the world to focus on her meal... and her little friend across from her. Oooooh, Britney knew Courtney was smart enough to take a hint. That was probably why she relented, and is choosing her words very carefully. Britney smiled. She appreciated someone who knew their place.

She asked about Britney.

That made the pride of the Williams smile. "'Pretty girl?' What, girl? Is this a date?" She chuckled at her own joke, as she thought about what to talk about. Well, she's six feet tall, does ballet, and came from outliers in the magical community. Where to even start?

"But, really, you want to know about me? There's so much to know, where do I even start?" Britney asked, running a hand through her hair. "Well, for starters, I'm here because I want to learn about my magical ability... on behalf of my family." She nodded her head.

"... Aaaaaand I have no idea who half the people here even are," Britney laughed. "Let's just say me and my family didn't mingle that well with the other ones."
