Tatiana Lorenz

Looking over to bastion, Tatiana shrugged nonchalantly. "I'm not sure he can do subtlety at all," she pointed out. "I'm just more annoyed by the cliche." Sure, she understood the irony of it and what have you, it didn't change the fact that everyone and their mother used Ride of the Valkyries when charging into battle and frankly it was annoying. There was plenty of other stuff one could use for a dramatic entrance, so why limit yourself like that?

With that she watched as the transports flew along, skirting the battlefield and drawing closer to the deployment zone. Before long the transport began to rock, both the result of enemy fire in general, as well as the shockwaves from the bombs that were deployed. Trust in the demons to ruin things, since this meant they weren't going to have the nice distraction that otherwise would have been provided by them being around. Oh well, she wasn't going to cry just because her job got a bit harder.

She nodded as the mission was outlined, checking things over and committing it all to memory. Time to do their job and get this done with. "Understood," she confirmed. Time to go do what she did best.

Glancing over towards Bastion, she was surprised to hear the comment but nonetheless flashed her a grin. "No promises," she called out in turn as the Machina moved to leave. "We'll just have to meet up back home." It wasn't like she would be gone forever if she died. But there was no more time to talk, as Bastion was gone.

Then it was her turn to jump, and she stepped up to the open doorway before leaping out without hesitation. She fell swiftly, thrusters firing off in controlled bursts to angle her fall and target the specific spot that she wanted to land. They burst into full life at the last second, slowing her fall to land with a few steps rather than slamming into the ground, and she found herself standing in the Angelic fortress. A rifle found itself in her grip as she waited for Marquis to arrive so they could get underway. She wanted to see how tough these Angels were

Tartys

Glancing over at Omega as he arrived, Tartys nodded in agreement. This was going to be tricky, no two ways about it. But needless to say defeat wasn't an option, and she was already turning her mind to figuring out what to do in this scenario. "We could let them make a small breach and then cut them down as they come through. That will let us keep them from being able to swarm us." Risky, but it was an option.

And then everything blew up.

The flash lit the air, forcing Tartys to look away momentarily lest she be blinded, and when she was able to look again it revealed the Demonic force decimated, its heart having been ripped out by explosives. The rest of the demonic force was stunned for a few moments longer than that, and then proceeded to fall into infighting amongst themselves as a result of whatever had just happened. Which was useful as the angels began to rip into them with a renewed vigor. It seemed that the demons had been surprisingly removed as a factor in this battle.

"Agreed," she replied with a nod, twirling her spear as she followed after Omega towards the other conflict. The Demons seemed like they had all they could handle now, which meant they had to focus on the Machina as the greater threat. "Who can fathom the minds of soulless robots?"

They did a good job, but all too soon the robot things landed, and she stepped back as she readied her spear to fight. these things had tough armor, that much was clear, and it meant that they would have to do a bit more damage than they might expect to take the things down. "I have this one," she informed Omega as she turned to face the one at his back, dealing with the situation at hand.

These things might look tough, but as her gaze swept her opponent she realized where the weak spot was. No matter how powerful they were, they couldn't do anything if they couldn't move. Bright lights traced themselves in the sky, hovering off the tip of her spear as she muttered holy words to provide her with power. She let it build to a crescendo before lashing out, holy bolts jumping from her spear to slam into the joints of the strange machine, targeting its arms and legs. If she could take those out then this thing would be effectively crippled, and easier to finish without her magic.

It was comforting to watch as Saber stepped about and moving into a flanking position, to know that he had his back should any actual violence break out. That sort of thing seemed like it would ruin the whole point of them getting along and working to defeat a common foe. Then again, without the immediacy of the threat present to distract themselves, it was only natural that they would conflict with each other and try to establish a pecking order.

Sighing, he glanced back to Saber and shook his head. "This is supposed to be a cooperative endeavor. Unfortunately that sort of thing comes easier to some than others, especially if there's previous experience involved." Hopefully they could all work it out before the first mission took place.

That said he watched the others interact before making up his mind. It seemed like they wouldn't be setting out immediately, which should give him some opportunity to settle in, and in a giant crowd such as this it was unlikely that anything would get accomplished. "Well then Saber, perhaps we should take lour leave and help clear the air a bit. I can look at your stats, but I'd like to see what you can do, if you don't mind."

Alexander Nevsky

it was perhaps fortunate that Rider was not privy to the thoughts of his Master, for he could have provided a list of his accomplishments had he known. Instead he merely waited and listened to the request that was made by his liege, who asked that he locate the Master of an Assassin class Servant in this room and then indicate that Walgrave wanted to meet them. Fairly simple, as far as tasks went.

Yet it was nonetheless odd, at least from his perspective. Oh he understood why, since he had Charisma to draw on while his Master was what one would consider softspoken at best. He was merely wondering why Walgrave wanted to talk with an Assassin or their Master. From his understanding this struggle wasn't going to require that sort of trickery (For if it was then they certainly wouldn't have done the summoning in this room where everyone else could see and potentially identify their Assassin. So what was his Master attempting to accomplish? It served as food for thought, even as Nevsky gave his response. "Very well my liege," he agreed with a bow before stepping away, and sweeping the room to locate someone who fit the criteria needed.

he just barely caught sight of one of the Master-Servant pairings leaving the room, and a few others clustered near one of the other Assassins there did seem to be. But the fact that she was naught but a small child put a dampener on that idea, even if she had managed to qualify for the Assassin class at some point. Nevsky would not be the one to bring someone before their time to the battlefield, of his own volition.

With that his mind was made up, and he turned his attention to his Master. "I shall take my leave then. Call me if you require my aid." With that he moved to leave, following after those who had left previously so as to accomplish the task he had been given.

Tatiana listened on with growing interest as Marquis began to explain what it was that he had come here to get her for. An assassination? It wasn't her usual speed but it nonetheless sounded interesting. Even if she wasn't sure how they would manage to assassinate a demon, if it was a demon of any real strength. That wasn't really the high point of the Machina after all. But she'd leave that up to Marquis to describe as he went about convincing her.

Or perhaps not. She frowned slightly as he paused in his explanation before issuing her new orders. Alright then, so no assassination after all. She nodded before snapping off a salute and then going for her weapons so she could follow up on that. "Alright, understood," she agreed without complaint. It looked there was a fight on their hands, and she was more than looking forward to testing herself and seeing if their opponents had anything that could match her.

Following along, she quickly arrived with Marquis to hear the end of the speech. There was quite the group here, and she would have been intimidated had they not been on the eve of battle. Instead she was merely eager, looking forward to the fight and glad to have them all at her side and watching her back. It was one less thing to worry about, which meant she could give her all to the fight and not tactics or what have you.

The bombs she was given were stored on her belt for easy access as she looked around. "No heavy ordinance," she noted to herself at the same time. "Man, and using a cold fusion bomb on the forces outside the mountain would have made things so much simpler. Oh well." Not like she was going to complain when it meant she got to fight to her hearts content. With no more comment she boarded the transports with the rest of them to get on with the mission. She could fly, but the less she exposed herself before the actual time to fight the better. It prevented mechanical mishaps.

But as Grafdakka deployed, she could only sigh. "Seriously? Ride of the Valkyries? I guess originality is dead after all." Here was hoping that the duo leading them had a bit better taste as they headed for their target.

Tartys

It would be a few minutes after the call to arms that Tartys emerged from one of the gates along with the stream of reinforcements that headed for Alt Signia. There was a bit of a buzz in her head from the drinking, but she was confident that she was fully capable of fighting. Of course she had expected that some downtime might be too much to ask for, and she wasn't as bad off as Dora or Syphax were.

Twirling her spear in her grip, wings flapped in powerful strokes as she headed through the halls and towards the outer bastions of Alt Signia's defenses. She needed to join the fight, to aid in the defense, and doing so in cluttered hallways wouldn't give her the sort of capacity to fight back that she would have otherwise.

At last she made it, bursting into the open with a huff. She came to a stop on the walls themselves, looking out on the advancing army and with the tint of smoke in the air. This would be quite the fight, but the demons were going to learn the error of trying to attack an Angelic stronghold when they didn't have their subversive tricks to rely on, even if there were the rumors of Miyu having defected to the demonic side. Well, time to see just what they were up against.

Right then, keep Walgrave away from Medea. Got it.
Alexander Nevsky

The position of submission and fealty was held as the bond between them was cemented and Rider began to sense the mana that flowed between him and his Master, enough to satisfy his needs and ensure that he would be able to fight. Perhaps he could not compare to some of the Heroes of legend, but if one were looking to find someone weak, they would not find it from the Russian as he rose back to his feet.

Of course he was no fool, and the peculiarities of his Masters familiars were noted. More importantly though were all the Spirits that surrounded them, some of them announcing their identities without care while others tended to be more silent or reserved when it came to this sort of thing. Some of them glimmered in the edge of his memory, Greek tales that had been carried to Russia via their commerce with the Mongols and the Muslims of the south. Not as much as he would have liked, perhaps, but he was not completely a foo. Others were pretty much unknown to him though.

Returning to his Master, Nevsky looked over the elderly figure before giving him a warm smile. "Perhaps not the most sociable of Masters, but so long as you are capable of making sound decisions, you do not need to be. I am Alexander Nevsky, Grand Prince of Vladimir and Servant of the Rider class. Wherever our battlefield may lie, you have my sword and horse." He didn't know whether they would be necessary with so many Heroic Spirits around, but if his lord said to fight, then he would fight.

<Snipped quote by VitaVitaAR>

He should be Berserker too, though. Riastrad and all that. Because nothing sums up the Berserker class better than ancient Celtic Hulk. :D

Yup. Warp Spasm, nuff said
Given the appalling lack of Russian/Slavic Heroic Spirits, I suppose Nevsky will have to team up with the other warrior princes or something. There aren't many others to join up with.
Alexander Nevsky

Nevsky watched on with the patience of someone born to rule as the man he had addressed simply stood there, as if he had been overcome by his Charisma. Which to be fair was a concern he supposed, though at least he wasn't acting like a peasant or something like that. It would be fairly unbecoming of a summoner to do something like that, religion or not. But he was in no hurry, so he waited patiently until the man did respond to his presence.

To put a point upon it. he would admit that his Master seemed a bit feeble, voice low and barely audible were it not for his superior senses. It confirmed what he had already known though, and that was enough to move forward with this whole thing and towards the purpose that he had been summoned for in the first place.

With a step forward he dropped to a knee, head bowed as if he was showing his allegiance to the Khan once again, though this man was hardly the horse borne warriors that had taken over his country. "So I ask, are you my liege?" Maybe not Master, but it was an alteration that shouldn't be a problem, as far as he knew.

Cecil Lavernth

Cecil watched with wide eyes as a figure appeared in the circle, created by mana and maintained by the Grail, a Heroic Spirit given physical form at his call. And what a figure it was, strong, two swords, someone that could fight and do the sorts of things that he himself couldn't. A grin split his face as the light faded away to reveal the warrior in full. The catalyst he had gotten had definitely done the job for him, that much was clear. And the relief of having done it right, to not need to worry anymore. That was welcome too.

He took a moment to compose himself before nodding, bowing as well. "Hello. I am Cecil Lavernth, your Master. Let our bond endure until the end of our trial." A prickly feeling appeared on his hand, and he glanced down to see the glowing red there of the command seal, indicating that he was a Master. A sight he had never expected to see, and honestly he still wasn't sure whether it was real. But the red lines were hard to deny, and he memorized them before looking back up at his Servant, Saber.

Looking back upwards once again, he could see that his Servant was confused, and he quickly moved to assuage the concerns that the man might have, even as he checked Saber's parameters. Yep, definitely what he had been hoping for, as he skimmed the numbers that appeared. "Thank you for your support. In a journey like the one we're going to be going on, I think we'll need it." Sure, there were a lot of other strong Servants around, but Zelretch wouldn't have gotten them together if they weren't all needed for the project to succeed.

@AtomicNut
Sorry to do this, but I think I'm gonna drop. Enthusiasm is gone, and it might be best to prevent future arguments since I've soured everyone's opinion of me. Good luck and all that jazz.
@VitaVitaAR I'm just wondering what is going to happen with Mordred and King Arthur in the same party.
