@Flood - So the only thing I'm having a little trouble understanding is that the appearance used for the character is Xaela, but the naming convention and what's listed on the CS is Raen. I'd like a little explanation on this as I don't see any on the CS (though if I have missed it feel free to point it out).

@Alfhedil - Still on time! I think there's a minor typo in Soul Crystal section, but otherwise everything looks good and she can be moved over!
@The Irish Tree - I like him a lot, please move him over!

@Amalyra and @Trainerblue192 can also move their characters over (the former I had asked on Discord and just reiterating just in case), this is the second to last reminder that no more character submissions will be accepted after the 25th.
Current Quest: ?

Title Affairs [COMPLETE]
Lyveva Gwennael has enlisted your help in retrieving a stolen title. The culprit is said to have been spotting at The Silver Bazaar.

Little Ones [FAILED]
Suki Meediri is looking to gather up her little ones. The two in question, Nikulas and Eji, are somewhere around the place they call home.

Something about having to go back to the same place again gave Lilie a little comfort, but considering what was going on, the familiarity did put a damper on her mood. The fact that Salem's suffering was downplayed didn't sit well with her, either. In a selfish train of thought, she wondered if she was expected to grin and bear it if something similar happened. Mariette hadn't shown any violent tendencies, but then again, she didn't think the vampire would go crying, either, so she couldn't rely on her own assumptions. Her nerves were already shot from worry, and the thought of heading straight to bed was even more tempting. But first, she needed to make sure Salem was properly settled.

Lilie was quiet on the walk over, though as she rubbed her eyes it was obvious it was more from being tired than not wanting to say anything. The change in sleep schedule was going to be hard to get used to for sure. All the excitement and adrenaline had kept her up, but now she kept losing focus, nearly walking into the other two a few times and offering an apology every time. Fortunately, the walk wasn't too long, and taking the familiar path was easy since they had been there before.

A white color caught her attention from the corner of her eye, and she spotted a familiar face not too far away. It was the guy Aaron had walked out of Treaty Law and had made the comment about him earlier. Salem had introduced him as Max, right? But admittedly he didn't hold her attention for too long, her gaze dropping to what he was carrying. A very small, fluffy tail was wagging under his arm, and she had to hold back another squeal. A little puppy! How adorable!

She tapped Salem's shoulder, gesturing to Max. "I didn't know he had such a cute dog!" She exclaimed, wondering if she would let him pet it.

Holy shit that cat was adorable.

Ray's mouth was slightly agape, watching the video with complete interest. Animals were always a soft spot of his, and while the desire to buy a house and adopt a hundred pets was probably his life's goal, it was always nice to see how other people treated their pets. He was a little disappointed when the video ended, but when Milo mentioned that Goose came up frequently in his videos, he wondered if there was a way to casually ask for a link and then go through the videos to see which ones had the most of the cat in them.

"Keep them coming," He told the bartender, taking the fresh cup and turning back to Milo. Before he could get a chance to talk, a loud crash sounded through the hall. Good luck was coming their way, it looked like, or that was something he had heard a while back. Breaking glass on the first day meant luck or...actually, he wasn't entirely sure if that applied here. He'd heard the saying a while back, but he was pretty sure that was in a restaurant. Whatever.

Already halfway through his second glass, he had to admit the speed at which the man had recorded was a little frightening. That was nothing compared to having to talk about himself, however. "Uh...I'm an officer for the NYPD," He said, turning his wrist and shaking the drink a little as he spoke. "I'm married to the job, as they say. Hopefully I'm making some sort of difference, but...who knows." It was actually embarrassing to admit why he became one, leaving it out for the moment as he finished his drink and put the empty glass on the bar. He felt like he had a good idea on what Milo was like but had absolutely no idea how to present himself.

"I, uh...I have a pet, too," He remembered, taking out his own phone. On his lock screen was a picture of the german-shepherd-husky mix, snoozing away on his couch. "He retired and his handler didn't want him, so I grabbed him. Can't really picture being without him."

He looked fondly at his phone before looking back at Milo. ""Sorry, I feel like I'm not that great at introducing myself or whatever," He suddenly realized he hadn't even introduced himself, taking his now filled glass and offering to clink it with Milo's drink. "I'm Ray Parker, by the way."

Varis' determination was admirable, if a little fruitless. But it got him the attention he wanted so who was he to complain? The shrug was anticipated with Eris being amused at the expression he got in return. He wasn't nearly as interested in the bottle as he was in the redhead holding it, but alas, if he diverged from the topic again he was going to get the vampire irritated. He hummed as he watched the glass fill, the movement of the red liquid sparking a pang of hunger that he had largely pushed away until now, eyes flashing red. Chewing on his lower lip, he reminded himself to have some restraint as he took the glass gratefully. Hmm, he needed to be careful about that, he probably should have fed earlier, but he wasn't sure how squirmy the kid was and he didn't want to risk it at the time.

At the mention of the Eve representative, Eris tried to remember if he had encountered them. Probably not, the only other noble he had come into contact with was the Marivaldi heiress. "Who, the temp?" He asked as he took his seat, letting himself get comfortable. He assumed that he was referring to the struggling vampire the House had as a stand-in for its missing Lord. "His floundering around is fun to watch. It's a little sad if you think on it too much, with the more competent members throwing him to the wolves while they scheme. But hey, if the opportunity presents itself, then why not?" Something about hearing about the house's struggles brought him an amusement that hit the spot.

Eris paused briefly to drink, relieving him of the hunger as he pulled the glass away. An interesting taste, not one he had before, at least.

"Well since I've gotten disapproval at knocking down a dying house, I think I might actually get a chance to relax. The student body's excitement will die down eventually and I'd think it odd if Her Highness allowed any paparazzi, so I'll get to have a little fun," His expression remained jovial as he looked at the blood in the glass. "That said, the Ghanie family has another new project, so I'll have Antigone look into that after tonight." He frowned slightly, the thought of having to waste his time because they were doing better than expected annoying him. It was always fun to have some competition, but even with some well placed words and minor points of sabotage, they were suspiciously successful.

He continued to drink, stopping to enjoy the taste for a second. Not bad. "Speaking of new projects, Maximus is going to be more work than I thought," He expressed his disappointment in his new mage, shaking his head. "He has the social aptitude of a brick wall. I'll have to check in with his classes to see if there's any hope for him." The fact that he seemed to loathe everything around him wasn't entirely a bad thing. Despite his less than impressive stature he did seem to have a backbone, and depending on the affinity and how he ended up working on his magic, he could make a decent bodyguard. Eris tapped the glass with a finger, mind at work on that possibility. Bulking him up wouldn't be hard. He could regulate his diet, make a workout plan...though he did find the lithe figure the kid currently had somewhat charming.

bring it on
@EvictedElement - There's so much detail that any question or nitpick I could have had was quickly answered, I feel humbled to have your character apply if only because it does set a bar for everyone. That said I'm greatly looking forward to seeing Gill interact with new people and I'm very happy to accept him without any urgent questions, please feel free to add him to the character tab at your convenience.

@Trainerblue192 - There's something missing from your sheet, and I apologize if I hadn't been clear, but the Reason for Enlistment is supposed to be a writing example. If you could fix that part, I think the rest of the sheet is solid.

@Bounce - You answered a lot of things in our back and forth in PMs, I'm glad to see the completed CS. He's accepted, go ahead and move him over!

@Achronum - it's okay I guess so you can be accepted I suppose I can't wait for the insistent terminology and good job with the name

@Amalyra - I feel the red text used for A'lythana's text is a little too dark to read comfortably, if you could change it to something lighter I'm sure it'd be appreciated. For your sample text, the last paragraph should be broken up (the rule of thumb is new speaker, new paragraph).

@Obscene Symphony - Too hot DENIED please see yourself out or move him over I guess

Think that's everyone that has given me a CS so far, a few need some changes before they can get accepted, please tag me whenever they're updated! Thank you!

Ah, so it was just to ruffle the princess' feathers--that made much more sense. Not that it would be the first time that Varis was...well, himself over a mage, but Eris had noticed it was just a touch more vitriolic than he was used to. Parading around that he was now in possession of one of (if not the only) fertile Starags was no small feat, either. Now that that little itch had been scratched, his antics were admittedly amusing, but there was no hiding the double take as they walked past the doorless room. He did wrinkle his nose briefly, not entirely in disapproval for the act as it wasn't his business and he couldn't bring himself to care, but he wouldn't appreciate any mortal stench wafting out into the common area in his own dorm.

Eris let himself have a chuckle in response, following wordlessly until Varis brought up the topic of blood. His eyes briefly shot upwards before looking at the redhead, the slightest shrug on his shoulder. Insistent as ever, wasn't he? The thought did bring a smile to the corners of his lips, the blond's strides stretching to catch up quicker until he was able to successfully rest his arm around the other vampire's shoulders, his grip loose in anticipation on getting shrugged off.

"Don't tell me you've gone searching for flavors again," Eris teased lightly, his voice more jovial. "Really now, the thought that you've gone out of your way makes me blush." It really did please him, but taking it too close to heart usually ended in disappointment. Instead he just enjoyed the thought, his gaze concentrating more on taking in Varis' features.
