"Oh, you didn't hear." Heather's grief washes over her. "My mother passed. I was back west for her last days and funeral." She sort of listens to Kosara's conversation, but only hearing half of it makes it difficult. "She had cancer, but it was aggressive, and she went quicker than anticipated."

The bell rings and Heather excuses herself to get their food. Returning a few minutes later with their meals.

"Ah, Mr. and Mrs. Porter. Thank you for bringing Ryker here. Alexander, please take his bag and show him to his room." Elenore smiled at Ryker's parents. She hoped that that would be enough for them. A normal looking moment, an obedient child, order out of what they perceived as chaos.

Also just found someone saying gwyns home town has a different language than sky tongue and rip me if that is so. Anyway I'm going to sleep.

@Raijinslayer not certain. Iirc sky tongue is common in the north and would be gwyns first language. But I know low and high realm are important.

@Raijinslayer Hunter is by White wolf as well but it is a modern setting. Hunters specifically have supernatural powers but are mortal. They tend to not like vampires and similar monsters, and depending on which hunter you speak to have issues with werewolves. It is part of the World of Darkness (WoD) Setting.

there are some theories basically that hunters are the solars coming back for age 6 (iirc)
