God, I'm thinking it might be better if I just dropped out of this one. It feels like I've been gone too long to cleanly slide back in.

Well, that's a shame to know of, since we didn't even delved into the story proper. Can't you reconsider it? We haven't really moved that far.

"I... I don't know. One moment I was with my hand clasped to his and then a man with a large hat hit us. I could see he had a scar or two on his face and talked like a sailor, very gruff." The woman replied to Kimi's question, breaking out in tears every now and then before continuing. "H-he had a big basket, maybe... is smelled of raw fish, mackerel, I think... After he apologized I noticed that... that my son wasn't with me and... when I looked around... Oh god, what could have happened to him? Please, please, help me! I can pay you all I have, but please give me back my son..." Was all the dark-haired, woman was able to produce, before tears got the best of her.

Whether those who went to talk to her would try talk to the guards again, press her, or extort money from her tragedy, or go back to the others, was left to be seen.

Meanwhile, Avienus' divination would let he see not what he was looking for, but a much more disturbing scene. A tall man, or so it looked like, wearing a traveler's coat and hood covering a boy's mouth and rendering the child unconscious, before shoving him on a large basket, under a false bottom that looked to be covered with fish. The man left the basket on the floor where one with a large brim hat caught it and walked away, toward a cart with many other baskets like that, after the cart made it away toward the old docks, the vision faded.

Likewise, Reed's senses would notice a trail of not very old fish blood running down the street on that direction (of the old port), as well. And, on the very distance, almost to the opposite direction, a quick scan of his eyes would show the hooded girl walking to the upper parts of the city, the shining Noble's Quarter. A flap of a bird's wing on the railing of the buildings over them would reveal a raven, which cawed lazy as it sought the sun's warmth, spreading it's black wings. When Reed's view would come back to the street, the girl as far away, turning a corner that would lead her to the Cathedral of the Gods, which resided on the Noble's Quarter, adjacent to the biggest cemetery in Aquaria.

Just like with the other part of the party, what they would do with this knowledge was up to them to decide.
@ClocktowerEchos

Oh, sure, I'll edit my CS later and change her surname/age.

Haruka Yorimoto

Name: Haruka Yorimoto.
Title/Alias: Preacher of the Universal Language.
Age: 19.
Gender: Female.
Height: 157 cm.
Weight: 53 kg.
Description: The only daughter of the disappeared Dr. Marito Yorimoto, one of the head researchers of YTC --despite being considered an underdog by the main staff, thanks to his goody two shoes tendencies--, a raising star of the idol community, college student and still moonlighting as a Chaser, Haruka Yorimoto is really a one of a kinda being. She likes riding in her custom BMW RR1000, doing insanely dangerous stunts that would be almost a granted death were she not a Chaser.

Her title refers to her power, the Universal Language, also known as Words of Genesis, the skill to speak the language used during and before creation itself. This power grants her the ultimate skill to 'influence' reality and anyone on it as long as the words she uses are clear enough. For example, if told "You cannot see what's in front of you!" by Haruka, you would momentarily lose your vision. It's not like a mind control power, but rather reality itself 'accommodating' to Haruka's demands. Along with her weapons a prototype vibro sword stolen from YTC's cargo and a custom FN Five-seveN, this makes Haruka easily into a top notch Chaser whose main objective is finding the whereabouts of her father. And... impressing her girlfriend, if she ever comes to the city to see Haruka.

Chikage Akane

Title/Alias: Miss Chikage.
Age: You wouldn't ask the age of a lady, would you?
Gender: Female.
Height: 166 cm.
Weight: You must really have a death wish, to ask me this.
Description: The leader of the Youkai Junction and, seemingly the oldest and most powerful of all Youkai, that's Miss Chikage Akane's vague description and she won't comment any further on it.

NPC CS

Name: Self-Explanatory.

Okay, it should be done now :D

I approve of this current build. I'll try to sum up things tomorrow, if no one else does it before me. Just wait for @TheWindel now.
So who's getting dunked on? One post has Itsuko getting a set up in the tank, but then another says that Aaron is supposed to take the bullet for her.

Itsuko. Aaron is yet to leave his guild's stand. Though, he had indeed promised to do it, so I expect him to owe to it later, hehehe.
@ClocktowerEchos

Wow! A chance to be an edgelord without restraints or reason? Count me in on this, Sir/Ma'am!
@Shoryu Magami

I had one more thought on languages. Perhaps they can be useful if you plan on include language based puzzles at some point of the story, or if one of us (the assassin, maybe) decides to leave a"business card" in a certain language. Unless the writing /reading barrier is going to fall as well as the spoken one.

On my end, I would have a character with four known languages ask of which she's fluent in, being two birth languages, one from the place she went to graduate and French, which is the international language of diplomacy and science.
