⚘ A Brief History
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
I've been at this a long time and when I say a long time I mean a long long damn time. I started out with table top, ADnD, back in the 80's, then dived into others: Nightlife, Mage the Ascension, Shadow Run, HoL, etc. Moved onto Online in the 90's. I've been running various incarnations of a single RP group for twenty years now. Worked helping setting up, building, and/or admining/modding various RP forums over the years: Adventure Quest, Priston Tales, War Gods, etc. It's been a long road filled with ups and downs. I'm an evil GM, you've been warned.

Outside of RP, I am a mom. Yup, I've reproduced and there are little Lady A's running around plotting their own take over of the world. I am a published author and once upon a time an award winning poet. I've done a lot in my life. I haven't done as much as I would like. I've grown a lot. I have a lot more growing to do. I love to cook, baker by trade currently. I went to university and majored in Mathematics. I've programmed websites, worked as a model, worked as a 3d modeler. Shit, I even used to dance. And have been known to sing a bit. Jack of all trades. Master of like 3, lol.

⚘ Looking Inside
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
This is where I go into my personality. In the past I would normally make some self deprecating remark about how I am a bitch of a GM, pushing my rpers as hard as I push myself and so forth. Not anymore. People change, or perhaps they just come into their own. This can happen at any age. More than that it can happen several times over the course of your life as you discover and rediscover yourself. Everything happens for a reason, usually that reason is ones owns actions. Or inaction's. Right now, I am in a better place than I can remember being in the longest time. I am happy and at peace. I have no regrets. Maybe I should but I don't. I plan on keeping this peace I have found, I went far too long without it.

Currently I am enjoying several things. Some are things I have enjoyed most of my life: Coffee, chocolate, bacon, M*A*S*H. One isn't something I have enjoyed since I was seventeen: being clean and free of poisons in my system. It is beyond description and I love it: One-hundred and twenty days and counting. Music taste is shifting to more mood oriented than anything, strange I am finding a lot of newer Country I am enjoying and I have NEVER liked country. Watching things like Lark Rise to Candleford and being hooked to the point of reading the trilogy. Recently added yoga to my workouts and all I can say is, "Fuckmaste: the fucked up in me accepts the fucked up in you."

Okay, update has been made, anyone that is on day 5 or more that needs an extra day or two to post let me know.

Edit: let me know either before your counter runs our or within 24 hours - whichever is LESS

Date: Monday May 22nd, 2017

*Quick Note: Color codes for location headers will denote time of day basically. Not so much tie of day but look for matching ones to see if you are in the same ~time frame~ as others.

La Hacienda: Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico : Maria nodded as Caesar took Liam. "He is, very strong and stubborn," she said as the baby looked up at Caesar oddly before laughing. Reaching up the boy took a handful of the older mans hair and gave it a sound tug. He wasn't letting go anytime soon. Maria couldn't help but smirk.

Looking away for a minute, Maria contemplated the day Liam was born before answering her ex-husband. "He was born here," she said simply before wrapping her arms around herself. "Alicia was smart. English father, American born mother, child born in Mexico. He has tri citizenship between the three countries. Was difficult but she got it done so Liam would always be able to be with family," she said as she looked down at the ground.

"Wasn't my choice not to tell you, Alicia made me, made all of us promise to wait until the right time. Under threat of death," she added as she eyed Caesar. "Wonder where she got that from."

Natasha looked over towards Cecily and chuckled. "Yeah, I didn't have much of a choice. It was either learn or keep getting a translator to tell my patients what was wrong with them," she laughed before sitting down on the couch and glancing around. "Not really sure. I do know that most Mexicans I have treated or have died on the table, their families were very religious. They always seem to have a saint that is the families patron, a lot of candles and such, praying, wailing, god only knows what," she said before shrugging a bit.

Diamond District: Zoie took a seat and unbuttoned her coat as she sat there. Crossing her legs she kept an eye on how the staff was treating Mali and was more than happy to take a drink when it was offered to her. She knew how to play the part all too well. At home one would have thought she was a dotting 1950's house wife the way she cooked, cleaned, tended to things, and welcomed people with a thick southern drawl. Here though, with her suit that cost more than most peoples monthly salaries, her shoes that cost as much as a car, her hair slicked back, and all traces of her accent gone one would have never suspected she came from a small town in the middle of no where south Georgia and that she had been taught to shoot a gun as soon as she could crawl.

Looking over at Mali she perked a brow at the choice of dress. Setting down her glass on the side table she rose, not bothering to fasten her jacket back in place as she stepped over to Mali. Reaching out she let her fingers run over the fabric, seemingly as if she was scrutinizing the choice before a small smile came to her lips. "I think this one will be fabulous. The color if perfect for your skin tone and eyes, the cut will flatter your figure and be comfortable, and it is quite the show stopper if I must say. Perfect for tonight," she said as she stood there and let her fingers fall from the fabric. "I think we will need to go to Cartier once we finish clothes shopping. They have a stunning piece that I think will compliment this well, should be able to borrow it for the evening," she said without batting an eyelash. "Well, go on, try it on!"

Justice Asylum: Nurse Cratty kept her eyes on Jaina, not knowing what that girl could do or when she would chose to do it. "No, we don't have one on retainer. Don't get a lot of people around here speaking Russian. Spanish we have people in the asylum but other languages it really don't come up much," the nurse said as she watched Jaina closely.

"Yes, we can do that, why don't you just sit down and relax while we go and fetch some," she suggested towards Jaina before looking over towards Iris. "The UN might be able to help or the hospital, why don't I go make some calls and find some strawberries for her. You just keep her calm," she added before stepping towards the door. "Do you want me to call for an orderly before I leave or do you have this?" she asked as her hand rested on the door. She wasn't sure if it would be a good idea to leave the doctor alone with this nutcase but things had to be done. Sure, Iris could chose to leave the patient alone, she was in a straitjacket afterall. Granted that didn't mean she was harmless by any stretch of the imagination.

Gun Range: "Oh well a couple of weeks. Have to love the government. They keep placing more and more regulations in place to keep us law abiding citizens from being able to execute our second amendment rights!" Beni growled. Roy just rolled his eyes as he looked over towards Riley.

"Funny how he uses the word execute," Roy laughed as the paper work was finished up and Beni started filing things away and the like. He shot Roy a look but laughed it off as if Roy had said something that was particularly funny. Roy just shook his head a bit and sighed. Whatever it was that was going through Beni's mind right then Roy didn't want a thing to do with it. "Right, let's get out of here before he starts in about the pyramids and how his long distant cousin half a century helped with a dig," he said as he rushed over to the door.

"Hey! You know I am right about that shit!" Beni called out as Roy held the door open for Riley to make a quick exit. Looking down at his phone he finally turned it on and let it power up as he waited for Riley before letting the door swing shut hard and drown out Beni going on and on about cats. Grumbling under his breath as he seemed to have missed a far amount of calls and texts since he had turned the damned thing off that morning.

"Shit..." he muttered as he spotted one from his captain.

Justice Memorial: Dr. Chang looked over to Felix and chuckled a bit. "Listen, I understand that people hate hospitals but you are going to be here for sometime. You just had major surgery, this isn't a broken arm in the Er where you are out the next day. It will be at least a week here and that is if everything goes perfectly. Could be ten days, could be a month, so you might as well get comfortable," Dr. Chang explained. She understood that people wanted to get out of the hospital as quickly as they could but getting discharged too early could cause a lot of problems; infections were just the start.

"As far as your possessions go, I am not sure. That was handled by the Emergency Staff when you were brought in and the paramedics before then. I will see if they can be located. Did you come in with anyone? Perhaps they have your things?" she suggested as she stood up and placed her hands into her pockets. "Right now, just try to rest and eat. I will send the nurse in after I place an order for pain medication to be administered once again. There might be side affects, such as drowsiness and nausea, among others. If you feel anything, do alert the nurse," she added as she stood there before pushing the tray table back over to the bed and giving him a nod.

FBI Headquarters Justice: "Indubitably ma'am," Special Agent Moreau said with a broad smile as he lead her over to the security check. She was right, it was far more enjoyable than TSA normally was. A quick run through the metal detector, a step to the side to double check, and no cavity search thankfully. Special Agent Moreau had already stepped through and was awaiting Priya on the other side.

"Ahh now see, that wasn't too tumultuous now was it?" he said as he grinned. "Just a hop skip and a jump to the elevators and we will have you to your destination post haste," he added as he motioned for her to follow him. Adjusting the cuffs on his suit and twisting the cufflinks as he strolled over towards the elevator and hit the button. The doors finally opened after a brief moment, several people stepping out because they were getting off at the ground floor. Special Agent Moreau held the door open for Priya and waited for her to enter first. "So, what brings you to our humble abode?" he asked as he stepped in after her and hit the button for their destination.

The Prison: Alright you three, travel from the prison to the barracks will take this entire round but Lady Luck has smiled on you and has not given you much to worry about. The drive, while a bit slow due to traffic during this time of the day is nothing that brings you to a full stop for a very long time. There are remnants of a cart in a section of the road but it seems to be mostly cleared away. A sight detour passed the Museum will leave you seeing more than the usual number of cats roaming the sidewalks and perched on various statues and walls. Perhaps not more than usual but you are noticing them today. As well as a man carrying a rather large vase over filled with flowers, so many in fact he is having a hard time seeing around them as he enters the museum. You will arrive just at the front gate by the end of post but won't be waved in as of yet. (Sigil, you can bring everyone into the gate by the end of the corporals update.)

Peter & George

Location: Qasr El Nil Barracks: Reginald's Office

Peter gave a nod towards George as he entered the room, a small smile on his face as he saw his old friend for the first time in many many years. It had been since before he had vanished that Peter had been able to talk to George and since his return he had not contacted the man as of yet. He had meant to but his mind had been to so many places, so many things he wanted to say, so much he felt that needed to be said in person and not through some western union telegram that he had kept putting it off. As surprised as he was to see that George was in Cairo it raised no alarms with the Englishman. George had a way about him and if he had caught word of Peter still breathing, he surprised him not that he had sought him out. George was loyal to what friends he had, to a fault even. "George," he said and was about to introduce him to his uncle when his uncle's little debacle happened.

It did not surprise George in the least the way that the older gentleman reacted. Though he couldn't be sure if it was him that had caused the incident or something else, George would have been willing to lay a rather sizable bet that it was indeed him. "Mmm, you seem to have fallen," George said quietly, the gravel in his voice coming through but there was a bit of humor to the half of his face in which he could express anything. His head lowering slightly and turning to peer towards Peter through his one good eye.

Peter's eyes widened. He had tried to warn his uncle but it seemed that he had not warned him enough from the looks of things. Clearing his throat he stepped over towards the desk and took the flask from his uncle as he leaned against his cane. "Uncle, did you perchance slip on the tea that was split earlier? Did they not clean up the happenstance properly?" he asked, trying to give his uncle an out for his reaction and somewhere else to lay the blame.

A guttural chuckle came quietly from George's lips. "Tea, mmm, yes, deadly, mmm," he said as he stood there, pulling his page boy cap from his head and fiddling with it between his fingers. Peter had to stifle a choke as he tried to take a pull from the flask before warbling over towards George and handing the flask to him.

"Quite," Peter said as George took the flask and kept looking towards the desk where Reginald was laid out behind. "George, let me have the honor of introducing you to the Lord Major Keystone, my uncle," Peter added as he tried to move on.

"Yes, Reginald, mmmm, you spoke of him frequently, mmm, yes," George said quietly before handing the flask back over to Peter without taking a drink from it.

Vera Munn

Location: Egyptian Museum: Her Office

Vera looked up from her cup of tea after taking a small sip of it. "Oh Bastet, she was thought to be a truly unique goddess in Egyptian religion. Daughter of Ra, the Sun God. An exceptional goddess even among the pantheon for such a wide polytheistic religion. You see, with most Gods and Goddesses of Egypt there seemed to be set with one task to tend to or perhaps several but Bastet, so many. Women, children, pregnancy, fertility, healers, sorcerers, magicians, the sun, the moon, joy, protection, love. The list does go on and on for her. She was even looked at as the protector of the Pharaoh, whom the ancient Egyptians thought was the physical form of Ra. A daughter guarding her father and all that was Egypt. She is the reason why Cats are such praised beings among the Egyptians even to this day. Any feline really. Remarkable to myself that such a feminine figure was so revered for not only the female side of the genders but so much strength as well."

The librarian seemed as if she could babble on for days about Bastet. She probably could if she if she was left to her own devices. Bastet was the most intriguing of Gods to Vera. Turning her attention to Nora as she explained a few things she glanced over towards Neema whom was nibbling on a finger sandwich. "Oh yes, of course," Neema said as she pulled the small food away from her lips and set it down on the saucer next to her tea up. Clearing her throat a bit, she began to speak. "An au unna ni Peta, en Ta: resu meh mehta, meh amenta, meh abta; U-en-kua em kshat-ten. Nuk eh-b em maat-pv; un mit-a nem."

Vera's brow shot up as Neema began to speak, that was Ancient Egyptian, not like the modern that was spoken in the streets but far more removed from today's language, it was a language all unto itself.

Over at the front desk Akhmed stood there, seeing several come in already for the position but not one had made the basic requirements and he had sent them off post haste with nothing more than a thank you for coming exiting his lips. As the delivery man came in he rose a brow seeing the monstrosity of flowers and he couldn't help but chuckle to himself as the man made his way directly passed the desk with a nod and headed back towards the administrations portion of the museum. Down in the archives there was not much on the way of reading material, most just items that had been retrieved from previous digs and that would go on display from time to time or were there for research purposes. Actual texts and translations, those were up with Vera in her office, well what passed as her office - the library itself was just beyond it yet one had to go through her to get to it. That would prove... interesting.

Aziza Tarek

Location: Gheit el Idda: Sgt. Walsh's Apartment -> Aziza's Home

Aziza moved quickly, staying close to Harry and lacing her fingers with his as they made their way from his apartment to the stables where his horse was kept. Standing there as he spoke to the stable hand and retrieved Roach she looked around nervously. A slight breath of relief came from her lips as he came back and held his hand out to her to get up onto the horse. Nodding slightly, she, with the help of Sgt. Walsh climbed up onto the horse and settled herself down in front of Harry. Normally if one was riding and another controlling the horse one would sit behind the person in control but Aziza did not feel safe enough right then to have her full body exposed like that. She hoped that perhaps sitting in front of him would keep her from being as noticed by people and as easy to identify by those they would be passing.

Resting herself down she relaxed a bit and leaned back against Harry as they made their way away from the stables, giving him directions as they went. As they went Aziza found herself relaxing more and more. Something about being around him put her at ease and the more she thought about them leaving Cairo for places elsewhere the more she liked the idea. Getting away from everything, even if it was to try to learn more about the markings that had appeared on her necklace, was a welcome change. She would still be in the country but hopefully far enough away she wouldn't need to watch her back constantly. It didn't take long before they were in front of her building. "Here we are," she said softly as she looked over to him and waited for him to dismount and help her down from his horse.
@FantasyChic @Pundii @Morose @Sigil @ONL @rivaan @Nallore - Alright, will be posting here today - as long as my internet holds up. (Freaking hurricane.) - Anywho, anyone that is on day 5 counter or higher by the time my post comes up - if you need an extra day or two to post, just let me know.

Edit: let me know either before your counter runs our or within 24 hours - whichever is LESS
@Morose Virginia is a little ahead of the others in time due to her previous cases - so she is in the afternoon now closing in on early evening.
@rivaan Yeah, she's your character lol
This is why I have a theme song for each character. Music is a powerful thing, finding a song for them helps me get in their head. Just a quick listen and I am ready to go.
@Dragoknighte - Okay Nor is up, granted most he can do it get into the tower at this point right at the front door but hey, puts him in the mix for next round lol.
@rivaan Riv, hun.. You have 7 days from the post where the case is posted. Cases don't go off your previous counters, they go off the case counters. As far as the funeral happening, I posted the note last case so you two could start figuring that out, now we are at the time to start getting the characters together and at least started.
@rivaan O.o You're kidding right?
