⚘ A Brief History
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
I've been at this a long time and when I say a long time I mean a long long damn time. I started out with table top, ADnD, back in the 80's, then dived into others: Nightlife, Mage the Ascension, Shadow Run, HoL, etc. Moved onto Online in the 90's. I've been running various incarnations of a single RP group for twenty years now. Worked helping setting up, building, and/or admining/modding various RP forums over the years: Adventure Quest, Priston Tales, War Gods, etc. It's been a long road filled with ups and downs. I'm an evil GM, you've been warned.

Outside of RP, I am a mom. Yup, I've reproduced and there are little Lady A's running around plotting their own take over of the world. I am a published author and once upon a time an award winning poet. I've done a lot in my life. I haven't done as much as I would like. I've grown a lot. I have a lot more growing to do. I love to cook, baker by trade currently. I went to university and majored in Mathematics. I've programmed websites, worked as a model, worked as a 3d modeler. Shit, I even used to dance. And have been known to sing a bit. Jack of all trades. Master of like 3, lol.

⚘ Looking Inside
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
This is where I go into my personality. In the past I would normally make some self deprecating remark about how I am a bitch of a GM, pushing my rpers as hard as I push myself and so forth. Not anymore. People change, or perhaps they just come into their own. This can happen at any age. More than that it can happen several times over the course of your life as you discover and rediscover yourself. Everything happens for a reason, usually that reason is ones owns actions. Or inaction's. Right now, I am in a better place than I can remember being in the longest time. I am happy and at peace. I have no regrets. Maybe I should but I don't. I plan on keeping this peace I have found, I went far too long without it.

Currently I am enjoying several things. Some are things I have enjoyed most of my life: Coffee, chocolate, bacon, M*A*S*H. One isn't something I have enjoyed since I was seventeen: being clean and free of poisons in my system. It is beyond description and I love it: One-hundred and twenty days and counting. Music taste is shifting to more mood oriented than anything, strange I am finding a lot of newer Country I am enjoying and I have NEVER liked country. Watching things like Lark Rise to Candleford and being hooked to the point of reading the trilogy. Recently added yoga to my workouts and all I can say is, "Fuckmaste: the fucked up in me accepts the fucked up in you."

Newhope

Before Foy had come in to speak with Anisa she had spent her time going over the files she had on her current crew. It was a skeleton crew for the most part it seemed. She had two pilots, both were competent. One had an attitude, one had a past. They no longer had a full time engineer. Anisa opting to let Gideon go for a few reasons. Sure Harper could fill in there but he was now her lead pilot due to circumstances. Daphne could handle the ship but she was a secondary now and while she had a few other skills she didn't like the idea of having to divide up positions. Pilots needed to be pilots. Harper and Daphne needed to learn to not only work together but to compliment each other, be able to read each other and what the other needed. Anisa wondered if that was possible considering Daphne's attitude as of late.

Medical was one area that Anisa was not worried about. Before Foy had come in she had made a stop by the infirmary to speak to Jahosafat. It took longer than she would have wanted but seemed the ebony doctor was just as long winded as the ivory barber. Yet she had learned a few things about him now that he wasn't on the clock for the alliance. Turned out even though he was a bit of a classist like his Faraday brethren he was actually a rather funny guy, even managing to make Anisa chuckle a few times, and he was a people person when he wasn't focused on the job at hand. It was nice to see. His history put her a little more at ease when it came to him being lead Medical.

Dorothy would still be a secondary doctor for the infirmary but her main duties now were as Anisa's second. Which made Anisa wonder if Dorothy as her second would work. She knew Dorothy would need time to adjust to the job but she wondered if she could handle it, especially when it came to her sister. Dorothy had always been a bit soft when it came to Daphne. Anisa understood it, giving the sisters history, but she doubted Dorothy constantly worrying about her sister was doing either of them any good. At this time she felt coddling the girl was just holding her back and keeping her from growing up. Time would tell if Daphne's attitude improved or not. If it didn't Anisa was going to have to make a hard call.

So they had pilots, they had medical. There were other things that needed to be taken care of. Atticus was a Preacher and that really served no purpose on the ship but the man knew how to blow shit up and that did come in handy. He also knew how to guy a gun and how to fight. Seemed that Foy did as well. Seemed that Foy and Atticus were now their muscle. That was going to make for an interesting pair that was for sure. Yet after seeing the amount of time Atticus and Foy had spent together on the Retribution getting to know each other during styling sessions she figured they would be able to work together. That was one less thing she needed to worry about.

Yet she still needed at least two more positions filled for the ship. She needed a new engineer. Someone that could focus on the engines and keeping the ship in the sky, do repairs on the fly, not have to leave the pilots seat in the middle of everything. She also needed someone who could be an information broker. Someone that could get in there and get what they needed quickly without being detected. Anisa was still a Browncoat and was working with the under ground. She needed someone who could meld into the shadows and deal with the Alliance. On top of that, it wouldn't hurt to have a Jack of All Trades. Someone who could do pretty much anything to some degree - back up for the others.

After Foy was done with his little request Anisa went back to thinking about what she needed for the ship. They were on a decent planet that had a good amount of people. She had heard mention of some of the crew heading out this evening. She would as well, get a feel for the place and start recruiting. The Captain didn't want to leave the planet without a full crew. She would if she had to but ports were usually a good place to pick up a few people - even only as passengers. Passengers much of the time could be turned into crew if needed and it was a good way to see how they did.

Locking down her room Anisa started to get ready. Atticus and Jahosafat had mentioned they were going to the Lady Luck this evening, seemed as good a place as any to start. Not only that, but if her whole crew went, she could see how they handled each other off the ship. Having her room locked down let Anisa breath a little easier. She needed the time alone to get ready for the evening. It wasn't every day she was able to take a little bit of time just for herself and she was determined to do just that. She had left her door open and been around the ship some - if anyone had needed to speak to her they had had hours. Anything else could wait now.

Anisa finally unlocked her door come dusk. Stepping out she glanced around before heading to the galley. The Captain hardly looked like a captain as her heels tapped against the floor. Sure while on duty Anisa kept things fashionable but she still looked the part. Now she was off duty as it were and was taking fully advantage of it. Those that had been part of the crew for a while knew the Captain was a bit of a fashionista. It was one of the things her and Gene had bonded over. So when she stepped into the Galley and Atticus spotted her he just smiled.

"Seems the sin for the evening is Lust," he quipped as he leaned against the counter and looked the Captain over. The look she shot him didn't shut him up. "Hey, Lust remember not Wrath!" he laughed.

"Yi Dwei Da Buen Chuo Roh."

Jahosafat on the other hand had yet to see this side of the captain and he was most pleased with the results from the looks of it. "Well I do declare, you have gone from a Captain in the rough to a sparkling ruby of fortune. I knew I spotted an air of refinement from you but never had I imagined your wardrobe would contain such tantalizing pieces," the doctor said with a tip of his hat.

"Captain owns more shoes and ascots than you and Foy combined most likely," Atticus laughed.

Anisa just rolled her eyes and stepped over to the com. "Captain speakin. Those comin to the Lady Luck meet on the dock. We're leavin." Short, sweet, to the point.

"Do let me have the honor of escorting you Captain," Jahosafat said as he stepped over to the woman and offered his arm. Her brow rose slightly.

"What do I get out of it?"

"Other than my illustrious company? How about I tell you why I call my dear friend Fuckin' Foy?"

"Thought that one was obvious," Atticus quipped as he waltzed past the two of them and headed down to cargo and the main hold.

"Hardly, it has to do with a rather colorful tale involving a Brandy Sniffer, 6 ounces of caviar, a saloon door, one white glove, and a rodeo clown," Jahosafat chuckled. Anisa found herself shaking her head quickly in disbelief before taking the mans arm.

"You have my attention."

Walking down to the cargo Anisa unlocked the Cargo Doors and opened them. Stepping out to the docks she looked around at the setting sun and breathed in the evening air.

Tonight seemed to be gearing up for a hell of an evening if the way things were going down at the Lady Luck were any indication. The later the day came the more people were crowding in, yet there were still a few empty tables that were being reserved for larger parties or high rollers. Dinner was finally tarting to be served, waitresses walking around the tables quickly and offering menu's for the evening. While the Lady Luck could have been thought of by some as sort of a dive, they did their best. The drinks were always flowing, the cards were always being dealt, and they have one of the best chef's on world to cater to most any taste, even outside of the bedroom. It was the place to be tonight.

@ONL No problem, spoke with Sigil earlier today, he will be posting here tonight. So just get your post in within 3 days of his. If you need more time than that let me know.
@Sigil You are up currently - 3 day counter begins now.
@rivaan Day 6
@Sigil - Day 6

@ONL - Day 6 but will give you a day or 2 extension if you need one since I am figuring you are needing Sigil to post before you can.
@Morose @Sigil @mnkee @Rivaan @Sputnik

Day 3 of the reset for 14. Please remember you HAVE to get to nightfall in your post or it will be null and void. I haven't heard from anyone yet for rolls - and I know at least half of the posts will need them. Please make sure you are on top of this and don't wait until the last minute just because I have a 14 day counter. (I will not do rolls or start collabs after day 10) - This section is covering around 5-7 hours of RP time, so take that into consideration.

@Sigil @Morose @FantasyChic @Bluesky44

Day 5 of the reset. Those that have posted, thank you. It means a lot that you got it done and didn't push the counters. Those that haven't.... I did the reset so we could get back on track and where I wasn't left with someone pushing to day 7 leaving me no time to post and there for leaving others with no time to post after I did. We are now on day 5 and are pushing counters again...

I don't know how else to put this but please remember if you push your counters and it pushes mine over day 6 it leaves me 1 day to go through the posts and give you all more to work with. The less time I have the crappier shit gets and frankly, I am tired of having no time and having to post ~filler~ posts every round...

Thana Martin

Location: Agriculture: Storage (West Side between Inner and Outer Wall)

A coy glance came from Thana as she looked over towards Ash out from the corner of her eye. "Easy? What fun would that be?" she asked as she stepped over towards the wheelbarrow and grasped the handles. She lowered herself much deeper than she needed to but she was taunting him with a bit of a flash of what lay beneath her collar before righting herself and smirking. Wheeling it over towards the bricks she set it down so Ash would have to walk back and forth. Sure she enjoyed watching him but he was right about one thing, they would have to continue this conversation later and the sooner they finished the sooner later would arrive.

Stepping over to the water cans she took a minute to decide which one to take. Not that it really needed a consideration but bending over and examining them was part of this little game they were playing while they were alone. "And yous thoughts yous weren'ts likes yer sister? Bless yer heart, yer just as shameless. Keeps tellin' yerself yous all works on the clocks, yup, sees right throughs that." The voice rang out in her head and Thana felt herself straightening rather quickly, an iron rod straight up her backside. She had heard the voice. Her voice? No, it was her voice. Had to be. She had heard a voice in her head earlier but passed it off that it was her own mind speaking to herself. That was what was happening right then. She wasn't hearing things. She couldn't be. Had no reason to. She felt no guilt over the deaths and they didn't even bother her. She didn't know them.

"You gotta be fucking kidding me. This puta is what does it for you now? Look at her, one second playing with ya, the next cold as ice. Damn man, least her sister was fun. Knew how to have a good time. You really need another military momma around you? How much time you spend saluting each other? And what about that tall drink of water. Sure she says she's yours but a girl like this? You just fucking met her. How the hell you know you can trust her. Yeah, James knew her but that was how long ago? Not much of a reference if you ask me. Be like anyone vouching for Dick just because they knew him outside the wall. All you know she only said that to keep the peace, work her way under your skin and then bam, Texas is going to show back up, claim his girl and this place. Watch yourself Ash," Alicia said from one of the counters, just sitting there as she shuffled a deck of cards. During the speech she got up and walked around Thana a few times before stepping into the shadows and she was gone once again.

Snatching up a watering can, Thana figured that would work. It was a water can for gods sake. Not like it took a lot of time to figure out which one held the most and would work for the little project she had in mind. Shaking the thought of a voice in her head out of her mind she let out a breath and tightened the jacket around her waist. "Okay you said we could grab the rest from the distillery didn't you?" she asked as she stepped over to the wheelbarrow and set it down. Slowly her eyes found their way over to Ash. "Everything okay?"

Lola Holler

Location: Heading Towards A Meeting

"Oh baby! I got a few things in mind on how you can repay me," Lola taunted as she grinned over towards Thalia like a cat about to pounce a mouse. She blew the girl a kiss and gave her a wink before turning her attention back to the road. Thankfully the road seemed to be rather decently clear and from what she could tell traveled recently but it wouldn't be much longer that they would have snow tracks to be able to tell them anything. The sun was high and bright now, things were warming up quickly and the snow from the last weeks was melting faster the later in the day it got. Streams of water could be seen shimmering and running into the gutters along the side of the road.

At Thalia's next words Lola snarked a bit. "Hey I'm as lovable as a Tasmanian Devil!" she laughed. She was, she could be a cute and cuddly but at the same time she could cause a whirl wind of chaos that would make most people run for the hill. "Anyways, my tank is all the scare I need," she added as she patted the side of the seat she was driving from. Half the time it could make a person wonder just how much she enjoyed her tank. She loved it, that was plane to see, but at times it bordered on down right damn disturbing the way she went on about it. Acting as if it was a living breathing thing, talking to it like it was responding to her. Yeah, that Kiwi had a few screws loose....

As Alexander spoke Lola snickered a bit, she wasn't touching that one with a ten foot pole. Not that it was hard for Lola to like people, she generally did; even now. Thing was though, Thalia wasn't so accepting and Thalia ranked much higher on the totem pole than Alexander did. Anyways, she needed to pay attention to the road. Well not really, it wasn't exactly hard considering the conditions but she kept quiet anyways and just whistled a Cole Porter tune to herself, figuring she would let Thalia field that comment. Though that may not have been the best idea, if he irked Thalia then things with this spotted dick they were meeting up with could go sour quickly, oh fuck it, they probably would anyways. As much as Lola liked people, didn't mean that people liked her but fuck them, she had a tank.

Tatiana Korvo

Location: The Newnan's House (Building F)

Jim looked up as Riley entered and gave her a nod of his head and a general hello. He'd ask her what she needed but since there were already others in there gearing up, he figured he would let them finish before asking. Didn't want people trying to grab for the same thing at the same time. Was better to take this type of gearing in order of arrival unless it was an emergency but gathering the way Riley entered the armory he figured it wasn't.

Tatiana smiled over at Ray and giggled a sorrowful giggle. "James if boy, Jamie if girl. Vorks for both dah?" she half way asked. There were plenty of names for a baby that meant something to both Tatiana and Jack but James was their most recent family, it was only fitting the baby be named after him. Granted she had no idea what middle name the baby would get but that could wait. They had plenty of time, didn't they? As for his thanks she simply nodded an acceptance of it, it was her job to help people deal with their issues, reassure them when needed and give them a kick in the ass if it was called for.

Looking over to Niesha Jim nodded and took out his clip board, marking down what she had taken so that it was accounted for and someone wouldn't be asking later where what was. This made things easier. "Okay girl, looks like you are all covered for here," he said with a slight smile. It was forced but that wasn't because of Niesha. He was always a little on edge when people were heading outside of the wall, granted today it didn't seem to matter if you were inside or outside, people still died. This thought made the forced smile even harder to hold.

Glancing up at Jack she smiled. "Ve figure it out. Have plenty of time, baby not due for long time," Tatiana said brightly. She liked the name Sally. "Sally James?" she suggested with a giggle. "Think Miss Sally love that! Cannot vait to tell her!" Tatiana exclaimed. The more she thought about it for a girls name the more she liked it. Unfortunately Tatiana and Ray were still unaware that Sally had passed away. Jack hadn't told them yet and there had been no call over the radio to announce it that Tatiana had received on her radio frequency. As far as she knew everything was fine with Miss Sally.

"Any vord on Miss Sally? Vant to stop by and talk to her once she is feeling up to it."

"Damn it's busy in here. Okay, he can have a knife from that row," Jim said pointing over to the stack marked "kids" and then turned his attention back to Chloe and gave her the same run down he had given Niesha. "Just make sure I get a chance to check everything out for you on the list before you leave."

Gavin & Ryan

Location: Near 545 Corinth Rd, Newnan: In the woods. (Not far from the Coweta County Water Authority)

"I'm the fucking Lord of the Dance, I'm always on point," Ryan smirked as he took a toothpick out of his coat and stuck it between his teeth. There was a bit of pride on his features, sure he knew he was right but wasn't every day that someone was willing to admit that Irish knew a thing or two.

At the mention of a sniper gun Gavin's eyes widened like a child on Christmas morning. "Well slap me on my ass and call me Sally. Fuck yeah," he said as he tore over to the truck and started scavenging. It was half a second later that he was pulling out the case and running his hands over it as if it was a a woman that was far too hot to handle. Slowly he opened the case and he let out a long whistle. "Ain't that a beaUtiful sight?" she said to himself as he gently picked it up and started putting it together. Pointing it away from everyone he looked through the scope and grinned. "Yeah, sounds sweet to me Mr. James. I be ready,"" he said as he climbed into the back of the truck. He figured he could hop out when they got close and steel away into the woods.

Ryan shrugged and climbed into the cab of the truck, like hell he was sitting out in the bed of the truck for this. If this went south, and chances were it would, he was at least going to have a decent place to sit for a bit. "That hombre better be good to that gun..." a voice said creeping into James mind. It was cold and warning as it spoke.

"Sounds like we are packing. Alright Bea, let's show them how we handle things downtown," Ryan chuckled as he got comfortable and waited for James to take them to their destination. Gavin gave a thump on the hood of the truck to let James know he was ready and took point. The rifle set up on the top of the truck and Gavin ready to pull the trigger if needed even if they were still driving. Bracing himself for the ride, he was ready to go.
