⚘ A Brief History

I've been at this a long time and when I say a long time I mean a long long damn time. I started out with table top, ADnD, back in the 80's, then dived into others: Nightlife, Mage the Ascension, Shadow Run, HoL, etc. Moved onto Online in the 90's. I've been running various incarnations of a single RP group for twenty years now. Worked helping setting up, building, and/or admining/modding various RP forums over the years: Adventure Quest, Priston Tales, War Gods, etc. It's been a long road filled with ups and downs. I'm an evil GM, you've been warned.

Outside of RP, I am a mom. Yup, I've reproduced and there are little Lady A's running around plotting their own take over of the world. I am a published author and once upon a time an award winning poet. I've done a lot in my life. I haven't done as much as I would like. I've grown a lot. I have a lot more growing to do. I love to cook, baker by trade currently. I went to university and majored in Mathematics. I've programmed websites, worked as a model, worked as a 3d modeler. Shit, I even used to dance. And have been known to sing a bit. Jack of all trades. Master of like 3, lol.

This is where I go into my personality. In the past I would normally make some self deprecating remark about how I am a bitch of a GM, pushing my rpers as hard as I push myself and so forth. Not anymore. People change, or perhaps they just come into their own. This can happen at any age. More than that it can happen several times over the course of your life as you discover and rediscover yourself. Everything happens for a reason, usually that reason is ones owns actions. Or inaction's. Right now, I am in a better place than I can remember being in the longest time. I am happy and at peace. I have no regrets. Maybe I should but I don't. I plan on keeping this peace I have found, I went far too long without it.

Currently I am enjoying several things. Some are things I have enjoyed most of my life: Coffee, chocolate, bacon, M*A*S*H. One isn't something I have enjoyed since I was seventeen: being clean and free of poisons in my system. It is beyond description and I love it: One-hundred and twenty days and counting. Music taste is shifting to more mood oriented than anything, strange I am finding a lot of newer Country I am enjoying and I have NEVER liked country. Watching things like Lark Rise to Candleford and being hooked to the point of reading the trilogy. Recently added yoga to my workouts and all I can say is, "Fuckmaste: the fucked up in me accepts the fucked up in you."

La Hacienda: Natasha and Maria are still out in the garden just talking casually. Maria seems to be reminiscing on how Alicia was when she was growing up and all the trouble she got into between asking Natasha questions about the time she spent in India.

Diamond District: "After the last week, I am so for that," Zoie said as the cover was taken off her by her stylist and she slipped out of her chair. Walking over towards Mali as Wayne cleared away the drape from around Mali's neck and over her chest he lowered the chair back to its normal place.

"Well then darlins what will it be? deep tissue, shiatsu, hot stone, reflexology, Thai, or Swedish massage?" Wayne asked as he spun the chair around for Mali so she could stand up.

"Swedish for me and anything this lovely woman wishes for herself," Zoie said with a wink as she reached up and tucked a piece of hair back behind Mali's left ear. "Glad he didn't change the color, it works great for your skin and eyes," she said before turning on her heels and giving a slight wave as she made her way to get her massage.

"So what'll it be hun?" Wayne asked as he snapped his fingers and an assistant came over to the two of them.

Police Department: Station 54: Roy watched as the coffee filled a cup and took it out of the dispenser before popping a few more coins into place and repeating the process. He had no idea how Riley took her coffee or even if she drank coffee so he went for the default for her: Regular (1 cream, 2 sugars). His was black as per normal. He just wanted the caffeine at this point. Turning his head slightly he cocked a brow as he spotted someone he wasn't used to seeing on this floor, much less the precinct. It was his new partner Priya, but it wasn't like he had any idea about that. Grabbing the other cup of coffee from the dispenser he hustled over towards the woman. "Hey, you lost?" he asked as he came up to her.

Justice Asylum: Risa nodded slightly as she stood there. "Of course," she said and stepped aside so that Iris could go and prepare the patient for her coming in and doing the translating. The door shut and it wasn't long after that when Risa heard a knock. It was only one but it was a hell of a pound. Turning quickly she looked through the window on the door and her eyes widened as she spotted Jaina slamming Iris' head against the door. "That's two," she told herself as she dropped her bag and flung the door open.

The woman moved quickly. "Разве вы не знаете, что плохо попасть в доктора," she grunted as she came in and ducked down. One arm wrapped under a leg, the other struck the side of one of Jaina's knee caps effectively dislocating it. It was enough to send to the woman onto her back and away from the doctor. Risa stayed low and put herself between Jaina and the doctor as well as the door as she eyed her. "Продолжайте, и я сломаю другой."

Lady Luck



If Anisa had the ability of emotions within her right then she would have been thrilled that Dorothy agreed to join her playing some cards. One, she loved the game. Two, she doubted she could tolerate Jahosafats constant rambling without shooting him. It was probably a good thing she wasn't dressed as she normally was and packing her usual side arm. It didn't mean she didn't have a weapon on her, it was just a little more trouble to get at than normal. Though if he continued it might be worth it. Glancing over towards Dorothy she shrugged slightly. "Then order me the anti-hangover meal off your medical menu. It's going to be a long night," she said before taking a seat.

Jahosafat grinned widely as he pushed her chair in and waited to do the same for Dorothy. Once she was seated he had a seat and picked up a deck of cards from the table and started to go through them, making sure they had a full set and there were no duplicates. As he was, he started his usual rambling, going on and on and on about the place. How it was good enough but that they should have seen the speak easy located where he and Foy hailed from. It was about sixty seconds into his little speech that Anisa rolled her head until she looked over towards him, reached into her clutch, grasped something shiny and dropped it on the table in front of him. Luckily for him it wasn't her gun, it was money.

"If you can keep your trap shut for the next sixty seconds it's yours," she spouted . Jahosafat about agreed to it verbally but barely caught himself. His mouth snapping shut as he nodded. Taking out his pocket watch he started to witness the seconds tick by. This was going to be harder than he thought, especially when two others came over towards the table and asked to join in. He was forced to chew on the inside of his cheek to keep from giving them a glorious welcome indeed but he was determined to win this little pittance of monetary metal.

Anisa on the other hand glanced over towards them, shooting Dorothy a look, before her attention was turned back towards the new comers. "Why not. I'm Anisa and..." she said as she motioned towards the other side of the table.

"I am Dr. Jahosafat Moreau, pleasure to meet such a fine looking lady and her companion on this splendiferous evening!" Anisa took a deep breath and rolled her eyes as she pulled the money off the table and slipped it back into her clutch. "Oh fuddle...."

Overview

WARNING: This RP will be all over the map and will be very random! You will get no choice in your characters skills - they will be assigned by the GM via a randomization from Lady Luck.
Location: Ville au Camp, Destrehan, Louisiana, USA (Starting) - Who Knows (Throughout The RP)
Time Frame: October 31st, 1943 (Starting) - Various (Throughout the RP)

Type Of RP: This RP is historical drama with a fantasy twist that is situated in a Time Loop. The main location for the Rp will be fixed in a set time and day that doesn't ever move forward and yet it will have exits to different periods of time in both the past and the future. Consider this Purgatory and you are either a newly placed Paradox or a long standing Emendator. What you do in this RP can have a direct influence in what happens in any other Lady A RP!
Goal Of RP: There are three possible goals of this RP, depending on who you are and what your life was once like. Stop the Destruere, find peace, or find redemption.

Premise

Somewhere behind the veil, locked between life and death resides a place known as Ville au Camp. A certain time, a certain place, where all points connected. A fixed point in the universe that never changes but is ever changing the world around it and the afterlife beyond it. Here resides the Paradox's and the Emendator's. Why are they there? No one knows, or at least no one is telling. What we do know is that these beings only reside here and that they are constantly on the move. Where? More like when. You see, in each generation problems can occur. Problems that lead to unwanted events, events that can throw off the time line of the world, alter destinies, or out right end humanity and the world as we know it. Why is this a problem? Simple, without life, without death, there is nothing.

What can you do about this? Die. Yes, you heard me right. You must die to enter. Sounds like such a terrible thing doesn't it? Or perhaps it sounds like paradise to you. In truth, it is neither. It is a job, a purpose. Perhaps it is a purpose that you never had while you were living. Perhaps it is atonement for your passed life. Whatever your reason for waking at Ville au Camp, is your own, but now you have a choice. Do you seek peace or do you seek something else? Doesn't matter in the end for either way you have a journey before you. The road will be long, it will be hard, and it will make you question everything you thought you knew or believed in. Fasten your seat-belts my lovelies, what ever dreams or nightmares you have had are only the start of what awaits you now. Death was only the beginning.

Emendators

In a time long ago they were called the Fates, other times they have been known as Angels. Yet what they truly are humankind has never really grasped and that is how they prefer it. The Emendators are a group of beings that were breathed into being so very long ago. When that was they do not know, all they know is that they have been here for as long as they can remember. For them that is saying something. Each came into being at different times but as they gained a consciousness they knew everything that occurred before them. At least historically. What was the world before people? They do not know. What is beyond, in the cosmos? They could care less. What lays beyond the realm of life and past the veil of death? That is not their concern. What is though is ensuring that life continues down a particular path. Something within their being tells them to do this. Like breathing for the living, they just do what they do. They know when they are needed, what they are needed for. Their ultimate purpose was never in question. It rushes through every fiber of their being. And be thankful to whatever deity you believe in for without them, humanity would have ended an age ago.

The Dice: Life and death are but a game of chance, a set of dice clicking in the fingers and once let loose they fall where they may. The Dice is the embodiment of that chance. That randomness that occurs in the world. Situations where a choice needs to be made and sometimes one just gets frozen. That is when The Dice steps in, they don't make the decision for you but they are on control of what does. A flick of the wrist, nod of the head. They are what determines if you live or die, stumble and fall or catch yourself, fight or flight. Some things are out of The Dices control still or she chooses not to do anything but if she does, there is nothing you can do about it. It just happens. The Dice determines who arrives and when they leave. The lead of the Emendators, her dice trump all others.

The Cards: Wish to know what the future holds? What your past means? Then take a seat and pick a card. The Cards have the answers but be careful. The answers you receive might not be what you wish to hear. It could be too much to bear and at this point you really can't choose death because it already has chosen you. The Cards is the Emandators key to knowing where they need to go and when they need to be there. They are the one that tells us if something is amoke or potentially could be. They are our sight, seeing far into the past and clearly into the future but do not be fooled. Unlike The Dice, things are not set in stone. It is only a glimpse of what could be if things do not change.

The Hat: And what do you have in your little bag of tricks? No tricks, only salvation. The Hat is our arms dealer, supply master, historian. You have to travel to 1920's Egypt? He will have the guns you need because the laser pistol you are using out in the black would draw just too much damn attention. Regency England? He will train you in the ways of the ton. Modern day Georgia? Better pack a water filter and a machete. There is not a time he cannot educate you on, there is not a situation he cannot arm you for. It is all within his little hat. The ultimate bag of holding. The Hat is here for all your needs out beyond the realm of Ville au Camp.

The Watch: Hickory Dickery Dock, the mouse ran up the clock. The Clock stuck one, the mouse vanished, he shouldn't have been on the clock to begin with. The Watch is a master of time and a manipulator of such. He keeps Ville au Camp in its perpetual state of unpassing time. He is the portal which sends us into the realm of the living, both past and present. And if he is by your side when the shit hits the fan he is the Omega 13, giving you a jump back instantaneously a few moments to be able to correct a grievous error. (Yet only if The Dice say it is so.) What year do you need to arrive? Where do you need to go? What time must you return by? Oh your fairy godmother cannot help you this time, only The Watch. Be careful. He is ever punctual, never late, never early. And he expects you to be the same. He will not hold the gate open a split second longer than needed. If you are not through it, get used to your current surroundings.

The Glasses: There are things seen and unseen in this world to all. All except The Glasses. Most things are not important for him to see. The truth of someone's feelings is their own business. What someone is truly planning can be of service much of the time. Yet the true value of The Glasses is his ability to see the most vile of all creations; The Destruere. He was the first line of defense against them. Yet... He sees no more. And without him all, at times, seems to be lost....

???: The Emendators that are known to this date are all that they have ever known yet that does not mean there couldn't perhaps be more. Emendators went centuries, even millenniums alone before they found another like themselves. Just because it has not been foretold by The Cards, felt by The Dice, seen by The Watch, or experienced by The Hat does not mean there could not be more. If the Emendators have learned anything in their long existence, it is that almost anything is possible.


Paradoxes

What are you? Who are you? You are you, it is as simple as that. You are just different now. You see, when you cross into the realm between life and the afterlife things change. Circumstances cause all of us to change and what circumstance is more life changing than death? You aren't alive but you aren't dead either. At least not in a traditional sense. No you aren't undead and do not worry, there is no need to drink blood to survive another day. Think of this as a simple wiping the slate clean but retaining the memories of what brought you to this point. You have arrived.

Why were your chosen? Ask The Dice but chances are she will not tell you. Lady Luck is an enigma that way. She prefers for you to find the reason for yourself. What you do know however is that you are now here and while you may not know why it doesn't mean you don't or can't have purpose. Perhaps you have unfinished business? Something you feel you need to atone for? Maybe that need for peace is what has brought you here and now you have the chance to not exactly right a wrong but atone for it. If only all were so lucky. Not many get a second chance. Even if that is not what brought you here that is alright. There is always more you can do. You have eternity now don't you? Well maybe not. But you still have more time than you thought you did as you drew your final breath. Life, unlife, the time before the afterlife can be a full and fulfilling thing. Now you are able to live each day as if it was your last. There is nothing but you holding you back now. Make the most of it. For yourself, for the loved ones you left behind, for those that never were given the chance. Just breath, take it all in. Who knows, this time might turn out to be the greatest time of your life. (In the broadest sense.)

You might learn a thing or two. Actually, you are going to learn far more than you ever thought possible if you just give this moment in time a chance. And don't worry, take all the time you need for today is the day that lasts forever. You will have as much time as you need to adjust, to learn, to forgive, to push passed everything that once held you back. The shackles of your previous life will no longer bind you unless you allow them. You are not alone, there is a guide waiting on you. Someone that will take your hand and lead you the first few steps into this new existence. They will explain everything. Answer any questions you have and probably even a few you hadn't thought of yet. Don't be afraid if you can't remember how to pull the trigger or hack the net. No one can when they arrive. Oh you suddenly know something else? That's okay, most arrive with something new unlocked.

Now, open your eyes. The world awaits and even more than that... The future. (And the past.)


Destruere

For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. Or at least that is what Newton's Third Law of Relativity states. Perhaps that is why the Destruere exist. Beings created to be the counter balance to the Emendators. The Yin to their Yang. But what is relative? Are these monsters actually something akin to the Emendators? In the most warped sense that is. The Emendators think not but even they cannot really be sure. No one knows who came first. Where the Emendators created to balance the Destruere or was it the other way around? Or is it just some cosmic coincidence? The world may never know, and perhaps it is better that way.

What we do know is this. Destruere are cruel, they are evil, and they are bent on destruction on any and all levels. What some belief structures might call demons or even the devil himself. Like little gremlins the span the globe, wreaking havoc where they can and even killing as they see fit. Why, no one knows. Perhaps their draw to cause such chaos is as ingrained in them as the purpose is in the Emendators. Either way, if we knew perhaps we could stop them once and for all. As for now, we can only try to pursue, capture, contain, and end them as we must.

They seem to hold a mirad of abilities, some of them quite frightening. The most frightening in fact is their ability to travel through time, and even have the ability to completely dismiss what The Dice determine. Their existence seems to be the only thing that can truly send a cold chill down the backs of an Emendator; especially considering recent events. Emendators, once thought invulnerable to actual death, have recently had to watch one of their own fall at the hands of a Destruere. The Glasses was who they lost and this loss has left the group vulnerable and shaken.

What do they look like? We do not know anymore. The Glasses were the only one that truly ever was able to see them. And he never gave a description. Whether that was because they were far to horrific to ever put to words or just because it was pointless to since no one else could see them, we do not know. Yet he is gone and they remain. A family of five, that had lived together for more centuries than they could count, is now down to four because of these beings. If only The Cards could see a future with them back together, if only The Dice could change their luck and make it so. Yet neither can. Will they lose more or will they finally able to bring about the end of the Destruere? Only time will tell....


Ville au Camp

Ville au Camp, or better known to the locals as Destrehan Plantation, is located in originally enough Destrehan, Louisiana. Built in the late 1700's for the de'Logny/Destrehan family. It was your typical southern plantation up until 1914 when it was purchased by the American Oil Company, then known as the Mexican Petroleum Company. An Oil Refinery was built on the property near the main house and it seemed like that was how it would remain - a company clubhouse and work station.

Yet in early 1940 peculiar things began to happen. People began to be scared away. Why? It wasn't ghosts. Well in a sense it was. The Emendators needed a new place to live and this one was the one foreseen by The Cards and decided on by The Dice. Work was done and by the middle of 1940 is was effectively abandoned. A few months downtime and it was for sale. It was then purchased by Lady Evelina Lucas as a retreat from England and the rest of Europe due to World War II. Moving in she made herself right at home and took in others who were displaced by the war. What the locals did not know was that while these people were displaced due to the war they were anything but your typical victims of war. They were Emendators and Paradoxes.

When the time was right, The Watch stopped time. Picking October 31st, 1943 as the perfect day to repeat and hold them safe in a Time Loop to continue their work. The days never move here, everything is stopped at the perfect time of year. Fall has set in, the air has a nice chill in it, the gnats are gone for the winter will soon be setting in, the leaves have changed color, and yet it is never too cold. Clouds dart the sky but it does not rain nor is it too sunny. Another thing about the day is the date itself. It is of course All Hallows Eve and that day is most important for both Emendators and Paradoxes. It is the day when the veil between life and death is the thinnest and the only day of the year in which The Watch opens the portals for new souls and The Dice causes them to awake.

The only down side to this day is the visitors which come at night but to at least one of the Emendators this is a wonderful thing. It allows them to interact with the people of the town and have a bit of fun without worry of the repercussions that could follow the next day. Why? Because when it clicks over to November 1st no one remains. The day never proceeded forward for those that reside there so when visitors showed up the following day no one was there. What happened is the stuff of legends and folk lore and in the years and decades since it has been deemed one of the most haunted locations in the United States. Not that the Emendators care.

Should they ever need to move again, they will leave precisely at 11:59 P.M. (When a time loop is needed to be destroyed, the Emendators and Paradoxes move forward in time until what is the current date and find a new home. Reasons for moving can be infiltration by a Destrehan, the very home being destroyed at some point in the future outside of the time loop, and so forth. Sometimes Emendators just grow weary of a particular place and wish to have a change of surroundings.)

    • Check Ego's at the door - I do not put up with bullshit, flamers, trolls, whiners, egomaniacs, etc.
    • Applying does not mean acceptance. Gm reserves the right to deny anyone for any reason at anytime
    • Gm does and will request edits to CS and IC posts if things are missed, over looked, or cannot be reasonably explained
    • Gm will work in side quests and story arcs - Just PM them

    • No Auto-Hitting
    • Remember IC and OOC are two different things - keep them separate
    • All actions using skills must be a called action and will require a GM check to see what the outcome is (Depending on the situation, this can be done before you post via pm or after you post a called action in the next world narrative)
    • Language - No Filters
    • Gore - No Filters - This will get gross
    • Taboo subjects will be crossed but will be maintained to fade to black if needed
    • All Lady A Rp's cross certain lines, many subjects are not for the easily offended or triggered
    • Romance:
      • Allowed but keep it Pg-13, then fade to black
      • No prestarted couples
      • Don't plan out couples ahead of time
      • Don't force couples
      • Let romance happen naturally without planning - trust me, the wait and work is worth it.
      • If love interests and couples form too quickly in the GM's opinion she is not above instituting a required roll from LLA to see if love can occur or if they end up hating each other just as instantly as they fell in love.
    • Approved and active members of the Rp will be given the link to Lady A's Rp Chat room to better help stay in touch with your fellow Rpers in this RP
    • The world is controlled by the GM - All NPC's, weather, what you see, what you find, what happens, everything. So if it isn't in my post, it didn't happen. If you need more information, either tag the Gm in OOC or drop a PM. Assume nothing.
    • All skills and attempts for things must be sent to the GM for rolls to deem success or failure.
    • Randomization and LLA is used in this RP - Please refer to my tutorial for a description if you are new to this concept
  • Posting Habits
    • You are not allowed to use @Mention Tags or Interacting With Headers In IC.
    • You are not allowed to copy and paste anything another character has said or posted in a previous post in your posts
    • Uniform Headers for Character must by used in IC posts (code provided below)
    • Your characters personal color code must be used for dialog
    • Minimal of 2 well developed paragraphs per post
    • Must IC post once every 7 days (It is your job to keep up with when you need to post. Your last post hits Day 8 and I remove you from the RP.)
    • If you need additional time to post you must notify the Gm by day 5 of your counter. Extensions will not be granted after that. I will try to work with you but only if you are up front, honest, and keep the lines of communication open. Real life comes first but joining this Rp means you know and respect what is expected of you and your fellow RPers. (You aren't the only one with a life)
    • I do not accept "no inspiration" as a reason not to post
    • I do not accept "waiting for someone else to post" as a reason not to post
    • I do not accept "I have nothing to post" as a reason not to post
    • Keep up with all IC and OOC posts - This means read them all, I do random checks on this. Miss enough things and you will be removed.
    • No spamming OOC - Seriously, I will gut you
    • If you are holding up the RP and joining other Rp's you will be called on it
    • Minimal 2 posts between your last
    • No editing a post in IC once it has been posted without first getting permission from the GM
    • If an edit is required to your last post it must be done before day 8 on your previous posts counter or you will be removed. (Posts that need editing are considered incomplete.)
    • If a Gm calls for an edit that is your ~permission~ to edit
    • No Editing IC/OOC/CS posts if you leave or are removed from the RP
    • There is no additional time granted due to forum glitches unless the forum is fully down for more than 3 days. A week to post is plenty of time even if the forum glitches a day or two
    • Collabs
      • Must tag the Gm in OOC to notify her that you are collabing and who are you are collabing with by day 5 of the highest counter
      • Collabs may not be started after your day 5 counter
      • If you are collabing and your partner vanishes or does not reply, you must finish the collab and post it before the timer runs out
      • If your collab partner vanishes you are granted temporary minimal bunnying privileges to complete the collab
      • If your collab partner vanishes, you need to make the Gm aware so it does not count against you
    • Know your personal posting limitations before applying to join - Work gives you a schedule, schools let you know when finals are coming, plan around these things
    • You may withdraw from the RP at any time and be put on Hiatus for an extended amount of time if your schedule becomes over whelming. You are allowed 1 Hiatus per year.
    • If you join other Rp's while on Hiatus you will not be admitted back to the Rp and will be considered ~kicked~
    • If you flake out, ghost, or are kicked from the RP the GM takes control of your character and it becomes general NPC property of the RP. The character may just be shelved, might be killed, or turned over to another Rper. (So if you are going to drop this RP, just post you are leaving to keep this from happening.)
  • Spots are not first come first serve
    • Gm will review completed CS first
    • Gm will then notify you if you are approved
    • Character deaths will happen, no one is safe - it will be randomized and you will be notified when your death approaches. (This does not mean you are out of the RP, it will mean however you need to make a new character should you wish to continue - I recommend having Back Up Characters Ready)
    • I am looking for long term highly dedicated Rpers. My Rps tend to run a minimal of one year, so be prepared for it!
    • This RP is within the Lady A Universe Timeline 'Verse
  • Rules and Cs sheet will be added to and changed as need be depending on problems or points that come up.
  • Under Extras in your CS post a link to a post you have done in the past on this forum. If you submit a CS without this it will be declined
  • Special - To New Comers To The Guild - Pm The Gm before you even start a CS

Special Rules For The Paradoxical Emendation
  • Characters start off with no skills - they will be assigned via the GM after Cs is completed
  • Characters start off with no possessions - they will be worked out with the GM after Cs is completed
  • Characters do NOT age from beyond their starting point
  • Characters cannot "reproduce" (No children, pregnancies, or ability to get someone else pregnant. Paradoxes cannot since they are technically dead. Emendators have never been able to.)
  • Paradox Characters
    • Must have died previously in another Lady A Rp (Main or Alternate Timeline) or another suitable RP here on the forum (Contact GM for RP review before filling out CS - PM RP are not allowed since I cannot personally check it and refer to it when needed. I will not accept copy and paste text.)
    • Characters from DnD, Super Hero, Anime, and so forth similar Rp's will most likely not be accepted.
    • Cannot be in use in another RP during the duration of this RP
    • If you have not had a character died and are determined to join, PM Lady A - You will need to join another of her Rp's, complete the CS for that RP, be worked into the story, RP it for at least 3 IC posts, and then be "voluntarily" slaughtered
    • Link to previous Rp the character was in must be provided in the appointed slot on the Character Sheet
    • Link to original CS for said character must be provided in the appointed slot on the Character Sheet
    • Link to death scene for said character must be provided in the appointed slot on the Character Sheet
    • If said character has died in more than 1 Rp, chose which one you will be basing it off of for this RP and proceed accordingly
    • Time era for your character before death will NOT matter for this RP, so don't worry
    • Skills for characters will be randomly obtained in RP and assigned by the GM using the Randomization Method
    • Once your Cs is approved the GM will contact you about what they are ~wearing~ when they ~arrive~
    • Your first IC post will be your character arriving
  • Emendator Characters
    • Characters must be new and cannot be remakes from other RP's
    • No previously used Face Claims by you or others. (Check with GM since this is a long list)
    • They can have no relations to other characters. (Such as parents, siblings, cousins, etc.)
    • Emendators are highly trained beings specializing in specific talents and purposes
    • Once an Emendator meets another Emendator they are drawn to stay around each other. So history will have to reflect that
    • You cannot ~claim~ an Emendator space, it will be chosen on merit of the CS and Rper alone
    • If interested in an Emendator space, contact the GM via PM only for more instructions
    • This will be a long process to complete an Emendator Cs and it may not be approved even after everything, so be prepared for this!
    • Are the Emendator spots full? From the looks of it, yes but stay tuned as the RP unfolds, this might change
    • Whether you leave or are kicked from the RP doesn't matter. An Emendator character will automatically become property of the RP as it is a fixed and highly needed position.
  • If a character does not have a particular skill, it means they cannot accomplish it. Certain basic commonsense skills though are defaulted to your characters general traits but still must be rolled for by the GM for success or failure.
  • This is a Chapter Based RP
    • This Rp will be broken down into Chapters instead of ~ending~ the RP and starting over with each new part
    • Original OOC will be updated for each chapter
    • At the end of each chapter awards of new skills will be granted to those characters that ~survive~ that long
    • Characters must be in play a minimal of half the chapter time to be awarded new skills
  • Cases
    • Case Method will be used in this RP from time to time
    • Counters for Cases will begin when the WN with the case in it
    • Counters for Cases differ from the usual 7 day counter depending on the Case - How many days you have for a case will be posted in the case file
    • Cases are collab work between you, whoever else is assigned to your case and the GM - In PM for rolls and updates
    • Cases are a newer method and give much more control to the RPer - if you have questions ask. If this is your first time dealing with cases, do NOT worry. The GM will walk you through it
  • Rpers may start out with 1 character and 1 back up character
  • Rpers in Good Standing with Lady A may begin with 2 Characters and however many back up characters you think you'll want to have
  • Additional Characters may be brought in later depending on various things, PM the GM if you wish to do this after a minimal of 3 months of IC for review

*Remove CS instructions in the code as you fill it out, do not keep it there when you submit your CS for approval. Make sure to read all rules before filling out for additional instructions not listed on the CS. CS's will be updated through out the RP to adjust for personality growth, new skills, etc. when the GM calls for it. Kyra looked over towards Nor and shrugged as she patted Ash on the back and directed him to get out of the way so that the dwarf could do his thing. Ash didn't like the idea of moving and it took a little bit of coaxing from the white haired ranger to get her traveling companion to do what he was told but she eventually got the dire wolf to pad along beside her and stay out of the way so that Nor could take a crack at the door. She had her bets on the door. Not because she didn't think the armored dwarf couldn't do it but just because things weren't always what they seemed to be in this tower.

She didn't win her bet to herself but then again she didn't lose either. The door didn't open or getting broken down but it did give way a bit. More than a bit, it was about 50/50 all things considered. One thing was good, beyond the half broken door, was that it didn't seem that any traps were set off in the wake of the damage. That was welcome. Now, just to finish off the door and see what lay behind it. There had better be something she thought to herself if it was this hard to take it down.

Looking over to Keystone she motioned to him. "You gonna finish this off or you forgotten how to break shit? I guess if we all went back downstairs you could fart at it," she said with a bit of a smirk on her face.


Okay, it is no secret. I gush about the peeps in my RP's a lot. Why wouldn't I? They are freaking amazing! I am very lucky to have one of the best group of Rpers to get down and dirty with between the posts. We plot, scheme, and roll out never ending twists and turns. Between the six Rp's I am currently Gming it is never a dull moment. Whether it is trying to stop a global conspiracy in Darker Than Black, surviving the latest trials and tribulations in The Walking Dead, hunting down a Necromancer in Duplicity, solving a mystical prophecy in Deeper Than The Sands, traveling the 'Verse in After Miranda, or just #fuddling in Soulless Regency my Rpers keep my on my toes! And I sure as hell do what I can to keep them on theirs.

Collectively between the six Rp's we have lost dozens of characters but that doesn't stop us. Doesn't matter how sick one of us gets, how much work or school is stressing us, what is going on we keep trucking. Sure we have had our hiccups along the way but it doesn't matter. We deal, we correct, and we move on. We trust each other to pick up on cues, roll with the punches, and handle anything that comes our way. They were all amazing when they joined up but seeing each of them grow over the months/years is astounding. I would tag them but there are soooooo many I don't think the forum would actually send out all the tags. Just know each and everyone of them rocks and they all will forever have my gratitude for letting me Gm all this madness!



Yet, gushing about them is not why I am here today. This is a little more than that. Today Soulless Regency hit its 1 year strong mark. That in and of itself is amazing but there is more to it than that. With Soulless Regency reaching this milestone it pushes another one to the spotlight. Now I currently have 6, count them 6 Rp's that have been running for a year or more! To be specific, I have 3 at the year+ mark and 3 at the 2 year mark. Now that is something. So I am here to pat myself on the fucking back!

I don't care if it comes off as prideful or ego. I am damn proud of myself to be able to put together not just one but half a dozen Rp's that are trucking this long. Ones with complex story lines, wonderful posts, twists and turns. Rp's that not only bring in new people but ones that hook people to go "I am going to join this one and this one and this one too that you are hosting!" It takes a hell of a lot of work that has to be fit in between my own persona life, which is hectic as hell. I dedicate a lot to these Rp's, months of planning before each one is launched, a lot of one on one time with each Rper to keep things going, working in their minor story arcs but still keep the main ball running. Romance and heart ache mixed in with mystery and shock. Knowing when to and where to place clues, when to throw a monkey wrench into the works, when to shake things up, when to let them just roll.

Without the Rpers in my group I know I wouldn't have near the success with my Rp's that I do but I also know what I do is a big chunk of the success of my Rp's. And so damn it, I am gushing about myself. Every now and then a Gm has to take a step back and give themselves a pat on the back. Marvel at the work they do and just be proud of what they have helped to bring together. So this is my moment and I hope it serves as a reminder next time I get stressed out and want to scream over shit going down that in the end it is completely and totally worth every last ounce of frustration. So for myself, and every other Gm out there that does the job, I just want to say well done! We rock!
