⚘ A Brief History
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
I've been at this a long time and when I say a long time I mean a long long damn time. I started out with table top, ADnD, back in the 80's, then dived into others: Nightlife, Mage the Ascension, Shadow Run, HoL, etc. Moved onto Online in the 90's. I've been running various incarnations of a single RP group for twenty years now. Worked helping setting up, building, and/or admining/modding various RP forums over the years: Adventure Quest, Priston Tales, War Gods, etc. It's been a long road filled with ups and downs. I'm an evil GM, you've been warned.

Outside of RP, I am a mom. Yup, I've reproduced and there are little Lady A's running around plotting their own take over of the world. I am a published author and once upon a time an award winning poet. I've done a lot in my life. I haven't done as much as I would like. I've grown a lot. I have a lot more growing to do. I love to cook, baker by trade currently. I went to university and majored in Mathematics. I've programmed websites, worked as a model, worked as a 3d modeler. Shit, I even used to dance. And have been known to sing a bit. Jack of all trades. Master of like 3, lol.

⚘ Looking Inside
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
This is where I go into my personality. In the past I would normally make some self deprecating remark about how I am a bitch of a GM, pushing my rpers as hard as I push myself and so forth. Not anymore. People change, or perhaps they just come into their own. This can happen at any age. More than that it can happen several times over the course of your life as you discover and rediscover yourself. Everything happens for a reason, usually that reason is ones owns actions. Or inaction's. Right now, I am in a better place than I can remember being in the longest time. I am happy and at peace. I have no regrets. Maybe I should but I don't. I plan on keeping this peace I have found, I went far too long without it.

Currently I am enjoying several things. Some are things I have enjoyed most of my life: Coffee, chocolate, bacon, M*A*S*H. One isn't something I have enjoyed since I was seventeen: being clean and free of poisons in my system. It is beyond description and I love it: One-hundred and twenty days and counting. Music taste is shifting to more mood oriented than anything, strange I am finding a lot of newer Country I am enjoying and I have NEVER liked country. Watching things like Lark Rise to Candleford and being hooked to the point of reading the trilogy. Recently added yoga to my workouts and all I can say is, "Fuckmaste: the fucked up in me accepts the fucked up in you."

Will keep this short - Don't think it will work

Would like to see - Nation RP redone to "Developing Universe" Section with multiple sub sections: World, Nation, Other & Checks. Just combine bascially combing the areas of E.H., NRP, and WB and leave it open to a larger versatility. Might actually give a single section the numbers it is looking for to succeed.

Could work if done right, a lot of down sides to it as well. But that's my two cents wrapped up quickly. ~goes back off to her own little universe~
>TMW a person has no problem spending forever getting together a characters skills and history and possessions but god forbid they spend more than ten seconds on their characters personality.

So, during this life of honing such "remarkable" skills and surviving their "tragic" backstory they never once developed a personality? None of these things affected them in the slightest and they are a completely clean slate for you to develop in RP? Right.... Yeah, not buying it. That's just lazy. Sorry, not sorry.

@rivaan @Morose @FantasyChic @Nallore @Sigil @ONL
October 4th, 1924 - 5:00 P.M. Local Time

Streets Of Cairo: The couple was very happy to have helped out with Mosi, not to mention that most of it was because she bought something and was new around Cairo. It meant a sale that they were not used to having on a regular basis. Waving at her they thanked her again and went back to their normal day to day duties. First things were first and that was returning the remaining cloth on the bolts that Mosi had figured out to their respective places.

Rosheen had the door open and was waiting on Mosi, excited to see what she had purchased. It was simple enough to get to Rosheens apartment above the little food stop. The stairs were right next to it and they lead up to only one door. "Well show me what you have and then we better get moving. Didn't you say you needed to be back at the museum this evening?" she asked as she looked at the old clock against the wall of her apartment which was now reading five.

Museum: It seemed that Josephine and Haakon wanted to help with this little endeavor. Which was good. Neema glanced over towards Mahendra and waited for him to answer yet the man didn't utter a single word. It seemed odd to her. She wasn't a member of the staff, which Ahkmed had made very clear. Lauren obviously didn't work there and if those two new comers were just coming in, they probably didn't work for the place either. Not to mention that Mahendra had been introduced to Neema and Lauren as Veras new assistant. Neema figured he would be the one to say something, but again, he didn't.

That didn't seem to matter though because Akhmed was on top of things. Seems being start struck was going to pay off, at least enough so they could get a move on. "I am Ahkmed and I am at your humble service," he said, more than happy that she allowed him to kiss her hand. "We here at the Egyptian Museum would be more than grateful for a star such as yourself to aid us. Please, please. Yes, look to your hearts content. I am so sorry but I am unable to go with you, I have a previous engagement that will be arriving shortly," he began but then obviously had a thought come to his mind as his eye lit up.

"One that perhaps one such as yourself might care to witness. I will be escorting a new arrival to the city to a demonstration on weapons smithing in ancient times hosted by a dear friend of mine," he began.

"My nephew to be exact," Neema quipped with a smirk.

Akhmed paid the old woman no mind. "If you would care to join we will be leaving here within the hour. Oh what am I thinking, that one such as you would dare want to watch menial labor, you are far more fitted to be on stage and have all eyes on you are you not?" he said beaming as he stood there and gazed adoringly towards Josephine with his bright amber eyes.

Neema had never seen the man act like this and she didn't know whether to laugh, throw up, or roll her eyes. She had nothing against Josephine, she had only just met the woman. Akhmed however, they seemed to have a past, and she was finding his entire display moronic. "We should get moving if we are to have looked at anything by the time Lady Munn returns," she said before starting to make her way towards the archives, she just hoped Mahendra came with her since he did have the key.

Vera, Peter, & George

Location: Egyptian Museum: Streets of Cairo -> Governorate (E/F 10)

Peters brow arched deeply as Nora spoke. "Miss Kingston, job or certificate matter not, nor does where one studied. A mathematician is not defined by such things. Nor limited to them. Do you live by the numbers? By the laws that which give us everything in this universe? When you look at the perfect spiral in an unbloomed rose do you see the petal or do you see the equations? Can you find the golden ratio in that spiral? In the features of those you love? When I speak of Euler's identity most would wonder whom I am speaking of but you my dear, you know I speak of the most stunning representation, the supreme example that shows us a profound connection between the most fundamental numbers in mathematics." His voice was kind as he spoke but it was firm, and full of passion for the numbers he spoke of as they walked.

Stopping he turned and gave Nora his full attention as he rested his palm on the top of his cane to keep his balance. "Mathematicians are born, it is in our blood. Never let anyone tell you different. Math is blind to race, to age, to gender. It is the true neutral in the world and our greatest gift is those that can speak its universal language. You are a mathematician and if anyone says differently send them to me for some enlightenment," he said before continuing on his way as he turned and kept Noras arm in his.

Vera seemed to have no noticed the two had stopped until they were passing the Statistical Department. They had headed east from the museum when they left and pretty much kept on that course since. Vera and George were exchanging pleasantries. Mostly speaking about recent books she had read that George might find interesting. "Oh there they are," Vera said as she finally spotted them in the crowd.

"Leg, mmm, must be slowing Peter down," George said. He didn't like being out on the street but he was glad that Vera had not called them a cab and had chosen to walk instead. Out on the street in such crowds he was less likely to be noticed. People were too wrapped up in their own minds and worrying if anyone was noticing them to notice anyone else. Hiding in plain sight was a real thing.

"You must be right, I had not even thought about that. I should apologize," Vera said. It hadn't crossed her mind that Peters leg was holding them up. In truth it hadn't been, it had been because Peter had stopped to directly addressed what Nora had said.

"Mm, no. Don't point it out. Mmm, makes Peter self conscious," George interjected. Vera looked over towards George and gave an understanding look. If anyone would know how it felt to have a disability pointed out it would be George. It was not only sound logic but sound emotional reasoning. She would heed his words.

"Sorry, Miss Kingston was telling me about the symbol from Bastet. I can see why you are so interested now Vera. She was always your favorite goddess," Peter said as the two caught up with them.

"Well not that I am to put much stock in hokum but the Ancients did worship her for various reasons, and she was most fascinating," Vera reminded Peter.

"And the fact you were born during her second cycle according to their astrology has nothing to do with it," Peter chuckled.

"Posh, I will not even acknowledge such muddle headed thinking," Vera said before her and George continued on their way. It wasn't long until tehy had reached the Governorate in Bab El Khalq and George was holding open the door for Vera to enter. Taking a deep breath he braced himself for what was likely to happen when someone laid eyes on him.

There are few times in the life of a Gm where they can sit back, look at an Rp, and go "I am completely satisfied." It just doesn't happen very often. Most of the time a Gm struggles. To get things organized, to get them off to the ground, to keep things moving, to keep enough people in the Rp, to not be overwhelmed by too many in the Rp, to keep it from moving too fast or too slow, to keep people from fighting in the OOC, to keep things from getting stagnate in the IC, and on, and on, and on it goes.

Yet right now, right at this moment I am COMPLETELY satisfied with my RP The Paradoxical Emendation. This RP has been over a year in the making, it directly connects (and impacts) every other RP I am currently Gming, is tied to at least half a dozen past Rp, and at least 3 future Rps. Clues, information, and such have been laced through them for months on end. As soon as I let my peeps know I was going to release a new one, they jumped on it, grabbing Cs's and getting ready before the Interest Check even went live. Soon as it did, we had Cs's ready to go, and new comers jumping in. Not to mention people were even willing to join my other Rps to get in on this one, to have a character killed off just so they could finish their CS and be a part of this one. The dedication (maybe slight obsession) level of them is mind boggling.

And now, we are 1 month into the RP. We are closed off to more people because I have a back log I have to work through to bring in the next characters! It is running smoothly as I could ever hope for, it is getting settled in, and moving like clock work. It is astounding.

So I want to take a moment to thank some people for giving me this moment....

@Sigil @Dragoknighte @Morose - You are my Emendators, my core peeps, those I am closest too actively on the forum. This RP would be NOWHERE without you. Thank you for putting up with the hell that was creating each of your Emendators. For not pushing for more information that I needed to keep hidden until specific times so it wouldn't ruin things in other Rps you are in, and for just putting up with my ass getting this entire monster project together.

@Nallore - Thank you for not throwing a limb at me and getting your butt in there to help kick everything off. I know no matter what is going on I have you in my corner, even if it means you are missing a limb or two. You remind me in the end it is all fun and games no matter what else is spinning out of control.

@FantasyChic @mnkee @Natsu - You three probably went through more to get into this Rp than anyone and I thank you for it. You didn't have a dead character laying around you wanted to use. It didn't matter, you picked an RP, you drew up a full CS (which considering it is one of my Cs's that is no little task), you went through hell to get killed, and then you started all over and got your Paradox Cs together (not to mention the relations). And even after all that, you had to wait to be brought in. Had to get in line and wait your turn. You did, you picked up the gauntlet and got the job done. (Well Natsu is in the middle of bringing Bart in. ^_~)

@Therealslayer Good to go, you don't need to worry about a relation sheet since you haven't met anyone yet. Move her over to the CS tab. I will be posting between Sunday and Tuesday - depending how when others post and how far I am willing to push my counters. i will tag you when I do because it will have her intro and information on where she is, what she can see, and so forth. I will be pming you shortly with the chat room invite.
@Therealslayer Yup, once you get the color changed you are good to go. Just tag me when it is so I can give final approval then. ^^
@Therealslayer Alright, think she is okay minus 2 things.

Her color - I think it is really close to like two other characters - we have a lot of blue apparently in the IC I just checked. We don't have but like one shade of orange and it is a darker one, pinks are pretty clear, gray I don't think is taken. Take a gander at the last page in IC to get an idea of what is being used. I can change it out for you if it is an issue.

Also, you are still missing the first thing I was referencing. Sadly I cannot say what it is, would defeat the purpose. Take another look at the general rules.

Evelina Lucas

Location:Ville au Camp Abandoned House -> Main House (Downstairs front porch outside Room 100)

Lady Lucas forced herself to focus on the task at hand. Several new comers had arrived already and more were on the way. She couldn't spend the day out in the abandoned house thinking on the past and being melancholy over a future that would never occur. ironic as it was, there was nothing the Emendators could do to fix their own time line. When they died there was nothing to stop it or fix it or later it. She knew, they tried. It was a miserable failure and one they promised they would never try to repeat. It could have ended another one of them or all of them and then what would happen? When there were no more Emendators left, who would fight the Destruere? Yes, the Paradoxes could but they were of limited numbers currently, untrained, and with no one to get them from point A to point B, to read the cards, to provide the needs, to... No, it wasn't enough.

Playing her pipe between her lips and gripping it slightly with her teeth The Dice slipped her four fingers into each of her front pockets and let her thumbs rest along the seam. Admitting to herself that it was a rather beautiful day, granted it always was. The weather was one of the reasons they had chosen this day. Each of the Emendators had lived through harsh conditions brought on by nothing but the weather. Evelina could remember the scorching summers of Carthage, the wet and stormy days in Saxones, the intolerable bone chill of Norway. Each made you swear you would rather put up with one of the others. That was until you were there again. Having such a pleasant day with just enough sun to warm the hint of chill in the air and a light breeze was the closest Evelina could imagine to perfection of weather that could be obtained.

Instead of taking the most direct route from where she had been to where she was going, which mean cutting through the Kitchen House and then going passed the Oak tree, she took a more sweeping path. She figured it would be best if she didn't walk directly passed Alicia as she welcomed someone at the Oak Tree. Around the back side of the garages to the main house and then around the outside of the house The Dice went before finally making her way to where she had intended to go. The front porch of the main house that looked out and down the drive way of dirt and gravel between the sweeping oak trees on either side. Resting herself down in a rocking chair she puffed on her pipe a bit. This was normally her way once they had new arrivals. Seat herself and wait for one of them to come to her. She didn't press herself on the new comers. That would be rude.

Alicia Gonzalez

Location: Ville au Camp: Main House (room 208) -> Oak Tree

Alicia on the other hand didn't seem to care if she was rude or not. She was welcome most everyone with a you're dead bitch. Manners obviously were not high on her things to worry about list. Now, one thing Alicia did hate though was being held up by poor planning. Thankfully The Dice and The Watch helped to keep pretty much everything running on a schedule of sorts around the place and it was rather well organized. The cards seemed less likely to plan anything but hey, she was fun at times. The seven of them had been getting along well enough, at least Alicia thought so. She wanted to talk to Evelina about the other two again but there as too much to do today and last time she brought it up she was tomorrow. At first Alicia had thought that meant the next change over but then it dawned on her - tomorrow never really comes here.

Smirking slightly at the word play, Alicia made her way down the stairs and left Alexandra to get settled in. Once she was out the backside of the house she took another look at the clipboard. "1Que mierda..." she whispered under her breath before repeating herself a bit louder. A lot louder. "2¡¿QUÉ MIERDA?! Her eyes widened a bit as she made her way over to the Oak Tree. Slowly sitting down on the low hanging branch she kept reading what had appeared on the magical Etch-A-Sketch. Her jaw lay half slacked open, one hand gripping the clipboard the other one half way and frozen to a face palm. It was what her friends, back when she was alive, lovingly referred to as Ted face. The exact look she got when she watched the movie Ted for the first time. She had kept that look of disbleif/shock/wtf for an entire hour.

"3¡QUE FOLLADO!" she finally managed to say to herself as she finished reading and the portal started to shift. Blinking a few times she stood up and pushed her hair back. Okay, this guy was from Justice, well not from Justice but he had lived there. He hadn't survived long. Granted she had died in Justice as well and she was one hell of bad ass back then but Justice dropped her like a cheap prom date in quick time. That was a day she still couldn't get out of her head; nor the images of the person that had finally ended her life. Those eyes still bore into right then. So icy, so blue, so cold. Shaking it off she looked down at their newest arrival and finally spoke. "I'm surprised your ass isn't waking up with a splitting head ache," she said before she burst out laughing. Alicia always did have a sick sense of humor.

Hooded Figure
Location: Tower - 2nd Floor
Interacting With: Nor
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

The hooded figure just stayed where he was and smirked at those around him. Had they no idea whom they were dealing with? It seemed that way. Normally this would not have been an issue and he would have welcomed a little tit for tat but right then he was working on something far more important than dealing with these ruffians. He was about to speak when he was suddenly struck and hit the ground with a resounding thud that nearly knocked the wind out of him. When he regained his momentary lapse of sense there was a blade beneath his neck and a dwarf on top of him.

Yet the words the armored wrecking ball uttered did not seem to phase him even as he swallowed lightly. This wasn't going to deter him. He had another trick up his sleeve. "Don't blink or you just might miss something," he uttered as his smirk grew. Then he winked at the dwarf, actually winked at him. Yet by the time his eye reopened he was on the table to the side and his smirk was gone. "Just remember you brought this on yourselves." It seemed there was more to this man that met the eye.

Ash
Location: The Tower - Second Floor
Interacting With: Kyra
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

Who knew what a dyre wolf thought when they were suddenly tackled and brought down by a little white haired ranger. Maybe he didn't have time to think, probably was best because he obviously wasn't in his right mind just then as the two started to roll around on the ground for a moment before Ash was on his backside and used all four of his strong legs to push Kyra off him and send her flying through the air and onto the a low book shelf. It toppled over, spilling out old books covered in dust and Kyra laid out on top of the splintered wood.

Rolling off his back Ash came up to right himself, on all fours at he growled and hunched down low looking at the pile of wood and Kyra he had created when he threw her off of him. His fur was standing on edge and now that he had defended himself he rolled with - intent on finishing the job but something in his eyes changed and the dark nothingness seemed to fade away to brilliant green. Maybe he had been saved and Kyra had knocked some sense into him.

Sana

Location: The Tower - Second Floor
Interacting With: Hooded Figure
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

All hell was breaking loose around her and she was really wanting a vacation right then. A bear was dealing with something she still couldn't see. Nor had tackled the hooded man, Kyra had jumped Ash and Ash had sent Kyra flying. That was all bad enough but the hood figure had some how managed to get away from Nor and was now standing and warning all of them as he stood on a desk. This was getting to be a bit much and she just wanted it over. Yet she didn't want it to have to be over the way it was seeming to play out.

Sana was closest to Ash and Ash was facing Kyra, she couldn't see his eyes, she couldn't decern he didn't seem to want to attack Kyra again. Most probably wouldn't either even seeing him and being in the heat of battle. She heard growling and saw Kyra laid out on a pile of what used to be a book shelf. Her arrow had been nocked into place since they had reached the floor and she hadn't lowered it. Breathing out she took aim. It was the best she could come up with. She just hoped it would work and that no one would hate her for it in the end. If they did, oh well. It was a snap decision in a split second of time.

The arrow flew from the bow and slipped right by Keystones ear. It hit the best mark she could come up with at the time. The left shoulder of the hooded figure. Sana wasted no time drawing another arrow and nocking it into place. She could have had a much simpler time going and shooting at Ash but then if she killed him or seriously injured him she would have to deal with Kyra and that was a fight she wanted to avoid. So she tried for the one that was causing all hell. Sure, she could have accidentally hit Keystone but he was big, he could take an arrow right? At worst she would have pierced his ear and every adventurer needs an earring. Didn't matter then though, she had hit her mark and all was well with the world. (At least as well as it could be)
