Noble Arms is now either four years old, or three years and eleven months. The third thread had lasted for more than one year.

My Roleplay, Noble Arms: The ASEAN War, will reach its 4th year in June or July. It's been a long journey.

Despite its massive flaws, my RP, Noble Arms: The ASEAN War, is still one of the longest ongoing RPs in RPGuild - It turns 4 years old in July and the current thread itself is more than a year old.

Fallout: New Vegas - Points of Divergence

I. Intro

What if Ceasar's Legion were sane? What if they weren't complete monsters, or evil to the point of stupidity? What if they weren't built to fall apart once Caesar died? What if they, while still brutal and cruel, brought actual order and organization to their lands? Would things still turn out to be the same?

Other questions are: What if the Kings were more fleshed out? What if the Fiends and Vipers showed the depths glimpsed in the original world? What if Elijah maintained control of the Brotherhood? What if the NCR's sinister reputation wasn't based on exaggerations, rumors, and outright lies? What if the fate of the Mojave relied not on one person, but multiple pariticpants?

Why that last question? Because the Courier is dead...

-------

Basically, the points of divergence, aka the things that make Caesar's Legion different, are first, Ceasar finding different books about Ancient Rome during his time as Edward Sallow, and second, Caesar not having a brain tumor. This results in a Legion that, while led and controlled with an iron fist, with harsh punishments for disobedience, is more sensible, more willing to negotiate, and more willing to build, in general. A Legion of order and organization, based not on slavery, but on the practicalities of landed power focused by a strong man at the centre of it all. The New Roman Empire, the Nova Roma Imperii, risen again and looking towards what was good in the past to apply it to the future.

Your jobs, in this open world game, are to fight, explore, and interact; you can take bounties, sell food and purified water, take up arms in favor of a faction, and affect the larger story and world in your own way. What you would not be permitted to do, however, is cut yourself off from the world; no man or woman is an island, especially in the Mojave Wasteland.

IV. Character Sheet Skeleton

Edited!
Hey guys, gonna drop from this. Been both sick, and other things lately.

It's okay.
To see what your characters can do, do cool stuff, and see where it goes.

You are right; Gavin and Hiroki are just that compelling.

Gavin

Gavin was still in Overheat, and thus can't do anything but gasp as the Divers fired on Itachi. He wasn't going to able to use Septima for a while, as Overheat meant that he needed to rest to regain power. And of course, he didn't trust himself to actually use his assault rifle when there were hostages and an ally on board.

Hiroki

He would continue watching, then. And perhaps take out his smartphone and begin recording a video of these goons, just in case he would have to encounter them again...
@FamishedPants, Didn't Lucius already respond?
Alexander Sky

The last of the Oosagi had been killed; that much was good enough. Now was the time for loot and clean-up, but mostly loot because Alexander had made sacrifices to go on this mission. And so, Alexander would look around the battlefield, searching for Oosagi corpses that can easily be cleaned and were also intact, and packing them into a small bag he carried alongside his rucksack (one of the things he bought). In response to Vesta and Avery (he had learned their names on the way) asking if everyone was all right, Alexander would say:

"Minor wounds, I can clean and disinfect them myself!" He then turned to Malakaus.

"Also, I'll try and cook Oosagi curry for the first time, once I skin the loot!"

James Fair paced his tent, waiting for word from the Captain-General to arrive. He was no spy or even scout, but he had kept his eyes and ears open; he knew about the rival band that was pillaging the nearby area. He counted on the fact that Captain Barrows would do the 'right' thing, if not out of morals, then because he would brook no rival so close to where he was. So when the messenger arrived, James listened closely before making telling the messenger that he was going to muster his command immidiately; the messenger might note that the nobleman was already in his armor.

Inside the tent were a squire and a page; people of noble birth who had joined the mercenary company due to desperate circumstances and attached themselves to James. The latter would then shout to those two:

"You guys heard what the messenger said?! Get my horse ready and fully armored, then carry the Captain-General's command to the rest of the First Heavy Division! We have some slavers to destroy!" The squire and page gave a short bow, then moved out of the tent to follow James' orders, while the nobleman himself began reviewing the maps of the southwest provinces of Alber. Mostly flat and crisscrossed by rivers; good cavalry terrain. Captain-General must have figured that out by now, and James can already guess the planned strategy and his role in it; the men under him can fight mounted or unmounted in heavy armor.

A few minutes later, the armor and horse were ready, and James rode out to meet his men and women. A most magnificent body of troops, one hundred men-at-arms who had put their faith in their sub-commander, James was proud of them. Saying a brief prayer to The One, James looked at his heavy fighters and said:

"All right, soldiers, listen up! We are about to fight today, and just as our Captain-General expects the best, we will give it to him! I expect you to fight in lock-step with the other members of the company - I must remind you that we have nothing to our name besides our comrades and our blades, not until this damned war is over! So when the order comes to move out, move out!"
IC is up! Time for a bit of interaction before the first battle.

I can post, it seems...
@Letter Bee

The red haired girl with Prim isn't Katniss.
