Ongoing World War II - The year is 1950...and the war is still occurring, due to the fact that the Nazis, using dark sorcery, have learned how to control the Heartless and unleash them upon the Allies, who are only saved from the verge of defeat by forming an alliance with Independent Keyblade Wielders and Nobodies. Not merely that, but Stalin has his own, dark plans to take control of the Heartless from Hitler. But, they will all find out that Darkness is not a toy...

2.) Puella Magi Madoka Magica - For the history of mankind, a race known as the 'Incubators' have uplifted young women from all walks of life, giving them great power as Magical Girls, and then feeding from said Magical Girls' descent into 'Witches', eldritch abominations that inflict suffering even as they are weighed down by the pain and despair of their lives. And, of course, the Heartless and Nobodies are added to the mix!

3.) Shimabara Triumphant - It is the Year 1669, 30 years after the Shimabara Rebellion held out long enough to force the Tokugawa Shogunate into a negotiated settlement that included lower taxes and freedom to worship. Japan had to revoke its policy of isolation from the world as a result, a development disliked by the ruling classes. Now, under a new Shogun, Tokugawa Ietsuna, an excuse has been found to revoke the Shimabara Peninsula's autonomy and invade the land once more with Dutch help, endangering the new Princess of Heart - Shiro Amakusa's daugther, who was never born in the Original Timeline!

4.) Fallout: Apocalypse Averted - The world of Fallout...only the Bombs didn't fall as the Big Bad took over and promised the leaders of the US and China that if they submitted to him, he would replenish all of Fallout Earth's natural resources and give them unimaginable power - which he did. Now, the US and China provide immense numbers of troops armed with Power Armor, Lasers, Plasma Guns, and Gauss Rifles and all that Atompunk stuff to supplement the Heartless!

5.) Cleopatra's Ambition - Cleopatra and Marc Antony have won the Battle of Actium, but at such a staggering cost that they were unable to follow up their victory with an attack on Italy itself. Now, ten years later, Antony has died of sickness, leaving Cleopatra defenseless against a renewed assault from Octavian, who is now supported by the Big Bad with several Legions of Heartless. But now, Cleopatra's 21-year old daugther, Cleopatra Selene, has exhibited powers of her own that her as a Princess of Heart, one in need of rescuing.

6.) A Queen of Hearts, not a Princess - The Battle of Bostworth ends with the death of both Henry Tudor and Richard III, leaving Elizabeth of York as the best claimant to the English throne. But as it would be decades before the country's people can even accept the idea that women can rule on their own right, most of England's nobles are now trying to marry one of their sons to the Yorkist Princess and hoping to gain control of the Kingdom that way. Elizabeth of York is also vital to the salvation of the Multiverse as she is a Princess of Heart, and thus the PCs are tasked to save her from the Heartless and a loveless marriage.

7.) The Ruins of Old Earth - In 2019, Ascot Carver, the one who discovered Magic and the X-blade, sought to use the mystic weapon to avert a nuclear war. He got his wish, but after all nuclear weapons were destroyed and a spell was cast to prevent people from using nuclear energy for anything violent, the nations of the world simply turned against each other in a conventional war that broke the world order and the economies of all Great Powers. Now, Earth is wrecked by conflict, pollution, and climate change, and while advanced technology still exists, society has been pushed back to feudal levels of organization. But there is hope, hope in the Last Princess of Heart and the compassion of other worlds.

Note: This isn't Canon Kingdom Hearts, but rather an Alternate Version of the setting in which Disney Worlds are replaced by Parallel Earths based on counterfactual histories. See below to see what the equivalent of Disney Castle is.

Kingdom Hearts: The Lights of the Multiverse

Long ago, there was One World, One Earth, and One Timeline, a world filled with Darkness and Light in unequal measures, with a greater proportion of Darkness to Light. This world, thought many, was doomed to fall, until one Hero delved into the secrets of the Light. He discovered that said Light flowed from an unseen land by the name of Kingdom Hearts, and that if he could just burst the barrier that seperated this world from this source of Light, he can save the timeline.

And so, he did...but with unforseen consequences. For what was once one world was separated to many, each with varying levels of Light and Dark. Now, any possibility for Earth to change, even the 'absurd' and 'impossible' ones, now sprang off into its own timeline, creating, for the first time, a Multiverse. The weapon the Hero used to create the Multiverse is called the X-Blade (Pronounced Key-Blade), and, seeing the consequences of his actions, the Hero shattered it into several pieces.

However, it was too late; the people of the various timelines saw, nay, knew, what had been done to them, and so created Lesser Keyblades in the shape of the X-Blade, so as to attempt to search for, and dominate, Kingdom Hearts. But, because of their hubris and ambition, they all failed, killing each other off except for a few repentant surviors, who swore off any attempt to dominate the Multiverse, and instead, chose to preserve it.

In time, the people of the Multiverse forgot about The Hero, the X-Blade, and the survivors of the Keyblade Wars, and slipped into complacency, thinking that their worlds were the only true ones. And so, centuries of peace and development passed. Then, one day, on the world of Shining Field, a Scholar in the House of Wisdom discovered the secrets of the Past, of the Light...and Darkness.

Only a few years after that, Shining Field burned, destroyed by an onslaught of Heartless, strange, black monsters with yellow eyes, who were resistant to most mortal weapons, and who, after destruction, merely reformed in another part of the world to continue their rampage. The Heartless consumed the majority of the inhabitants, man, woman, and child, before turning upon the Heart of the World, its Core of Light.

After that, more worlds burned in quick succession, as Heartless began emerging everywhere, like an unchecked plague. Not merely that, but there were hints that the Heartless were...guided, controlled by an unseen intelligence. And as if to add to the chaos and strife of the situation, strange beings called the Nobodies also emerged, sometimes fighting the Heartless, sometimes conquering their own stretches of territory.

And the Keyblade Order...was nowhere to be seen.

But there is hope: Creatures called Moogles have appeared throughout the worlds, offering trade links, technology and magic that would give the worlds a fighting chance against the Heartless, and finally, ships that can connect to other worlds. In addition to this, people from all over the world with strong hearts have begun manifesting Keyblades of their own, weapons that are super-effective at killing Heartless, preventing them from reconstituting elsewhere. Now, the worlds prepare to strike back, and find out who is behind this strange onslaught on the Multiverse...

Summary of History: The Second Palailogoi Civil War, which in IRL, destroyed the Byzantine Empire as a Great Power, went the other way, with Serbia not interfering and the victory going to the Regency faction, who successfully reformed the state to lessen the aristocracy's power, redistribute land back to the peasants, increase the numbers of the navy, and take the Empire in a maritime, commercial, direction, trading with other nations instead of depending on landed estates. In time, this reformed Empire retook Anatolia using divide-and-conquer tactics, judicious alliances, and finally, luck.

It then used its position as a manufacturer of luxury goods, like Silk, to withstand the shock of the discovery of the Americas upon its economy, building the Empire 'tall' instead of 'wide', focusing upon economic and cultural pursuits instead of military conquests, as well as education. Despite this, they withstood more civil wars, foriegn invasions, and coups, forcing them to keep developing their military.

Note, this is conjecture as the Timeline hasn't been finished yet: In modern times, the Byzantines can be credited with the invention of the Tank, the Stealth Fighter, and Rocket Artillery. Ever since the Enlightenment, they have also been a religiously tolerant state where Christians and Muslims live happily...as long as they speak Greek; historically, the Byzies preferred language discrimination to racial and religious ones - yes, that part was during the Middle Ages.

Important Nations (Great Powers, etc.): Byzantine Empire (Modern-Day Greece, Albania, Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, parts of Serbia, Turkey, and Crimea. 3.) Persona 4 - A series of mysterious murders and kidnappings have happened in the small town of Inaba, Japan. Yuu Narukami, an amateur detective, is investigating using the power to enter the 'Tv World', another plane of existence that can be entered through a television screen. Yuu and his group of friends, within that world, gain the power to summon a Persona; a manifestation of one's heart and subconcious that can fight Shadows (not to be confused with the small Heartless of the same name), beings born from the hidden aspects of the Human Heart. But Yuu and his group's true enemy, (SPOILER), is being helped by the Multiverse's main villain - who wants to capture Yukiko Amagi, the local Princess of Heart!

6.) The Best of Both Britains - The year is 2019, 348 years since Charles II of England sired a daughter, Eleanor, who, despite her father's secret Catholicism, was raised Protestant. This ensured the preservation of Britain's Anglican character while preventing the Act of Settlement, which barred Catholics from succeeding to the throne, from being passed. Now, at present, Eleanor Stuart's direct descendant, Catherine, prepares to succeed the British Throne as the first Catholic Monarch since Charles II, and the first openly Catholic Queen Regnant since the infamous Mary I.

Needless to say, despite it being 2019 and promises made to preserve Britain's Anglican Character, not everyone is happy with this. If only there was a group of heroes and adventurers that would rescue the future Queen before anyone gets at her...

I am sorry, but I need to quit this game; I had fun for seven months, but I can't take what's happened to Ashton and Flame anymore.

Edit: On second thought, I'm not quitting; I'm going to take a break until I grow out of my bad habits, then I'll come back.

A measure of hope and an even larger amount of determination returned to Ashton's heart as Od Laguna made their apperance, and his first question was, "What's the status of Hiro's Soul?"

Flame turned to Ashton, a sudden smile breaking out on his face as he noticed that some small-s spirit had come back to his boyfriend. Then to Od Laguna, he said, "So we're the spanner in the works as regards those guys and their own plans for our friends." A slight breath. "I'm not blind; we've arrived at a point where our fellowship has been shattered, the bad guys are on the verge of victory, and due to the circumstances in which the fellowship was shattered, we'd find our friends different from how we once knew them."

Ashton looked back at Flame, saying, "Meaning that because of my actions, they'd distrust us at best, while we'd have to fight them at worst." More determination returned to his eyes, even as he assessed the cost of his actions. Turning to the Angelic Figure, the boy said, "We're ready to help, but remember that I killed someone I liked and trusted because of those Witches and their game. Magic Discipline: Narrative Magic - A descendant of the Time and Creation Aeons (with shades of everything else), Narrative Magic is the manipulation of the stories present in the universe. Whenever there is a story, there is a way to manipulate it and its component 'tropes', and Narrative Magic does that for its wielder's purpose. Here are examples of Narrative Magic's use:

Power One, Reader of Existence - William, by touching a piece of ground, a building, or even an inanimate object, can conjure a holographic illusion of important events that happened on the ground or building or occured within range of the object. This illusion, being based on physical light and not mental effects, cannot be dispelled by the usual anti-illusion countermeasures, and keeps on 'playing' until the record of the most important/pertinent events (aka information William was looking for) have played out.

Power Two, Imitation better than the Original - William can duplicate items of legend, such as Excalibur, the Spear of Destiny, and Mjolnir, by mixing metals/wood/stone with his blood. The more of his blood used in the re-creation of the item, the more powerful the duplicate is; the upper limit is the original power of the item. And no, magical healing cannot replace William's blood and thus provide a workaround around this requirement. Mundane blood transfusions, however, can.

Only five Legendary Imitations per day can be made, and there are certain artifacts whose upper limit cannot be reached no matter how much blood is given; the GM indicates which items those are (agreed with the GM).

Power Three, Gondor Calls for Aid - William can distort time, space, and probability to call on whatever allies he has made all throughout the current RP, calling them to come to his side at his time of need. The only requirement of this is that 1.) He genuinely needs help, 2.) It is the climax of a personal story arc or an arc of the RP itself.

Power Four, Rohan Answers - When his help is called for, time, space, and probability distort for William so that he can come to the aid of his friends just in the nick of time; the requirement is that 1.) they call for him specifically, and 2.) they genuinely need him. Whether he can actually help is another question entirely.

Equipment: Smartphone, Books, Modern Clothing, Laptop and various pictures of legendary items like Excalibur, Claiomh Solais, Gae Bolg, Gugnir, and Mjolnir.

Mages and storytellers, the Ascots - who weren't always called that - were patrons of Heroes and Heroines throughout recorded history, from Gilgamesh to King Arthur, Deborah and Joan of Arc. Their goals, when they choose to reveal them, are stated as 'leading the world to peace and harmony' and 'lighting the path to happiness'. And William Ascot was the latest in their line.

Chosen and marked by an Angelic Figure carrying a book at his birth, William was given three gifts; precocious intelligence, a healthy body, and a glimpse of the 'Golden Ending', the paradise that awaited Sapientkind at the end of history. With these, it was hoped that the boy would be a patron of new heroes; a helpmeet, gude, or even mentor who would support them in their quests. Needless to say, it did not turn out the way his parents and family wanted it to go. For William, as soon as he can walk and talk, had decided to be a Hero himself; breaking with the Ascots' traditions.

Not merely that, but William showed the typical pride, hubris, and self-regard that led to heroes falling and taking down what they had built with them. And as a child, it was intolerable. So when William turned 16, and a message from the University was sent to him, his family sent him away with the hopes that he'd learn how to limit his ego and narcissism before it turned into a danger for him and others. And this time, it actually worked, up to a point.

NCQuest - A Mecha RP: The Defense of Darwin (BeeNCQuest)

Haven Base plus Red-Star Floating Supercarrrier Kuei-Ren

Once they flew or charged out of the hangar, the International Volunteers were in a position to notice that Red-Star was retreating out of the city through the Kinetic Shields; it was clear that as their first assault had failed, the enemy's vanguard was cut off from the rest of their forces for now.

"All right, people!" Theodore's voice boomed out of the comms as his large and elaborate mech; a humanoid figure in an orb surrounded by concentric rings hovered from behind them. "I'm blinking off the Kinetic Shields in five minutes! Time to coordinate!"

A countdown appeared in their cockpits' screens, although those with higher Sync would also see said countdown at the edge of their vision.

If they followed said countdown and kept going towards the Kinetic Barriers, sure enough, the latter would shut down as the countdown turned 'Zero', and a volley of Havenite Artillery shells would fire at the retreating Red-Star troopers, as well as their fleet. Said fleet, composed of numerous hovering cruisers, transports, and support craft, turned their guns and missiles at the city of Darwin...

...Only to be met with railgun fire at their flank as the Havenite Third Fleet, led by the Light NC Carrier Khalid-ibn-Walid* (one of the flagships of the Havenite People's Protection Units), zoomed in close, charging to a near-point-blank range at the enemy Flotilla's left side. Their own complement of NCs shadowed this advance, making it possible by shredding the Red-Star flotilla's heavy projectiles with their own ordnance or projecting shields that nullified their energy weapons.

As the International Volunteers reached the coast of Darwin with their Mechs, they'd find a hovering cruiser** just off the shore, firing missiles at the restored Kinetic Barriers that protected Darwin. Said cruiser was close enough for the Mechs to reach through wading, as well as the guns of their ranged weapons. But Theodore, whose NC had gotten through the barriers' area before they reactivated, had another idea.

"All right, people!" he said, "Those NCs without long-range capabilities or flight systems, board that Cruiser's deck and disable its missiles; it's large enough to use as a platform! Chelsea, please make sure that the crew fails at blowing it up or otherwise scuttling it!"
