Ananta was satisfied to find that her preparation was indeed a wise decision, as the projectile hurtling against Aquila's celestial winds were contained in the Ofuda prison like a cloud of buzzing gnats. Having expected the Machina artillery to be some form of explosive, this was fortuitous for her to say the least, and even more so when the source deemed her not worth the time to continue its assault and changed tact.

Amidst whirling winds, ravenous nanites, and clashing armies, the lamia was entirely ignored. Even the infamous Grafdakka burst from the ground not fifty feet away and opted to stab the equally renown Torag with a reality shredding drill; A drill that Torag wanted to see if he could tank.

"You may as well go play in traffic if you are going to be so reckless, Torag."

The serpent chastised him in the manner a mother would convey supreme disappoint in their progeny, yet she was quick to save him from total annihilation in the manner most appropriate. In a flash her tail whipped around and struck the paladin in the hip, flinging him away from the straight path of the drill and hoping that wherever he landed he didn't decide to make such a gamble so lightly again.

And with Graf so close already, Ananta figured she may as well take her own shot at the mechanical Goliath and slither onto the drill arm as it passed, interested to see if she could find an access point of some kind to get inside and find something fragile to destroy.

Though if she were to find a control system of some kind, then she could put her Ashura Arms to a very spectacular use.

What Leblanc had once hoped would be the fast track to getting to sink her knives into more enemy combatants was rapidly becoming a fool's errand taxing her with the same veracity with which the snow buffeted her flimsily covered form. Such weather patterns weren't in anyone's prediction, and she certainly hadn't felt a shift in the pressure systems, yet that didn't stop the precipitation from coming down in flurries of white making their journey all the more precarious.

Ahead of the group her heightened perception was simultaneously put through its paces and paradoxically dulled beyond reason as there simply was nothing to be detected ahead of them besides the scampering of her bombastic comrade slinking in the dark.

And what cruel irony it was that Leblanc turned on her heel with an expression of forlorn disappointment to hear the traipsing of light feet and whispered words carried along the wind. Such an attack from the rear was almost unfair in how it denied her the chance for a righteous kill! Before she even finished exhaling at the poor luck she was struck with, her breath was but a streak in the cold air as she abandoned her post to Finnis alone and bounded atop the snow with knives brandished and hopeful Clean's axe hadn't ended the engagement so soon.

I'm not even through this entire OOC backlog but i may as well add in a small remark.

Please take a moment to consider that for all of their heady adventures in cyber space, these are high school students who have their room and board covered by their families. IE, their expenses are rather minimal outside a need for food.

Two, these are high school students who, if they have any jobs, are probably low paying so most wouldn't have any significant savings in the bank. What they lose may sting but it certainly isn't a great loss in the long run.

Three, if we factor in their low savings and low expenses, then having an empty bank account won't cause them issue for more then two weeks at most, because- I'm only guessing here until KoL clarifies- that their bank accounts arn't being actively drained. So the next time they get a paycheck or ask their parents for an advance on their allowance, they have money again.

Of course, for the people who are heavy spenders and may have loads of expenses would be drastically harmed, but that seems to me more like the people living like Chiyo. Masea? Yeah, she just needs to tighten her belt for a bit or call home for food money. Same with everyone else. Worse comes to worse, pawn some stuff. You don't need to bend the knee to Chiyo so quickly.

Yeah...no. Ananta wouldn't try stopping Grafdakka without a post or two of prepped defenses to have a chance at countering a drill that pierces the fabric of reality. No, she has a far simpler idea to save Torag.
