Bio

Current GM of World of Light. When it comes to writing, there's nothing I love more than imagination, engagement, and commitment. I'm always open to talk, suggestion, criticism, and collaboration. While I try to be as obliging, helpful, and courteous as possible, I have very little sympathy for ghosts, and anyone who'd like to string me along. Straightforwardness is all I ask for.

Looking for more personal details? I'm just some dude from the American south; software development is my job but games, writing, and trying to help others enjoy life are my passions. Been RPing for over a decade, starting waaaay back with humble beginnings on the Spore forum, so I know a thing or two, though I won't pretend to be an expert. If you're down for some fun, let's make something spectacular together.

The door slid open to reveal a dolt. Olivie frowned as Azerus just stood in front of her, his mouth moving but not making a sound. Was he that easily scared? Or had he forgotten how she looked already? Whatever; her Pokemon needed a pick-me-up, and she wouldn't let any nonsense stand between her companions and good health. With great deliberation, Olivie placed a hand on his shoulder and steered him out of her way. Though not as aggressive or forceful as a push, the gesture still spelled out her disregard for his bumbling, and it hinted at the fact that stepping around him didn't even cross her mind. With that out of the way, in both the figurative and literal sense, Olivie made her way to the main counter. A distinct feeling of satisfaction passed through her as she saw the employee behind the counter recognize her and tense up, no doubt dreading another unpleasant encounter. At the moment, though, Olivie was in a good mood, one that even an obstructive oaf couldn't rattle. ”Heal, please,” she asked in an even tone, laying Gespenst's pokeball on the counter before she turned around to lounge against it. Unsure what to think, the woman scuttled off, leaving Olivie alone with her thoughts. She gave a long, appreciative exhale. Already, what an exciting morning!

In the time before her Cacnea returned Olivie popped open her Pokedex and rifled through it. She took note of the amount of Trainer Points she'd accrued and began to construct a mental checklist of things to do. Time to visit the local store. I'll need more pokeballs, definitely. I need six to rank up. That's my next goal. I'll get Barnie before I go shopping. Or maybe, after. He looked pretty ragged last night, even as his team destroyed mine. A noise from her guts prompted her to look down, but of course, she couldn't see much of anything. Breakfast, first. I'm starved. When the Pokemon Center employee cleared her through, Olivie stood up and span around to take back her friend. Immediately, she released him, though the thought did occur to her that soon she'd have too many Pokemon to constantly have them all out and about. Still, she hated the idea of locking them away in boring balls all day. She didn't know how they worked -for instance, if they were conscious- but being cooped up anywhere struck her as an awful way to spend time.

As she considered this, she walked toward the Center's little parlor where breakfast was served. A bit of money from her account set her and her Pokemon up for a decent meal. After she sat down with a plate overburdened by eggs, sausage, and bacon, Olivie made sure that her companions had some grub of their own before digging in. In the quest for strength, protein was essential!

Just like a crazed bunny rabbit voraciously snatching a carrot, Eyeblight took the bait—hook, line, and sinker. As he raved on, the Wards' cunning antihero slipped away, masked by shadows and silence. He returned to the ladder and ascended, as he would no doubt do the same in his organization's record-books. In very little time he'd returned to the sunny world far removed from the dank, scarecrow-infested storm drain. Here, he would do his duty.

A persistent buzz in his ears interrupted his moment of introspection. Sonar's voice informed him that his aid would be needed, and Margrave -clenching his fist- swore beneath his breath. How could the living loudspeaker outdo his enigmatic, inimitable intuition to arrive at the same clever conclusion as he? Had the boy wonder not stolen his thunder, the Margrave imagined, his glory would have been that much greater (which, naturally, would have been pushed aside, as is fitting of the silent guardian, the unsung hero) but now he was reduced to following orders. The thought made him furious...outraged! Sick with anger! As he began to walk in the direction of the hostages, he gnashed his teeth in frustration. ”So it is that the labors of he who is lost to history shall be forgotten once again...lost to the abyss of anonymity and insignificance. Still shall I serve...” Hands in his pockets, he sidled up to Martyr, whose face held a mix of incredulity and embarrassment. ”Never fear, sweet compere. I am here to save the day. But rest assured you, too, will get a chance to be useful. Sometime...” He gave a smirk before turning to the terrified, pleading hostage kneeling before them.

He held out a hand and focused. If these bombs did operate using a dead-man's switch, he needed to completely toyify the explosives before the cut-off signal could tell them to blow up. Deliberately, the Margrave worked himself up into a state of heightened stress, focusing on the thought that if he failed, both he and the innocent bystander would bite the dust in spectacular fashion. Once he judged his emotional state to be sufficient, the Margrave leaned in to touch the collar. Near-instantly, the device transformed into an assemblage of plastic, beeping as it did. The noise almost made Elliot scream in fear, but it was cut off, and he managed to calm himself down. With both hands the Margrave grabbed hold, and with the strength of a near-adult broke the newly-created plaything into two pieces, which he threw to the ground and stamped on. Even after mangling them thusly, he made sure to kick the flattened scraps away, lest there still be some explosive power left when they reverted. Fortunately, when the device 'reformed', it was completely defunct.

Following this, the Margrave moved quickly between hostages, attempting to keep his mental state high and his toyification accordingly swift. Bomb after bomb he destroyed, scattering the harmless remains about. Time was not, however, on his side. Any minute now Eyeblight might get antsy and opt to blow the whole operation, in more ways than one.
@Silver FoxYou'll be able to start customizing your Trainer after Hau'oli City, and I think haircuts come on the island after Melemele.

There are some haircuts in Hau'oli, as well as outfits, but they're pretty limited. At least, I hope there are more than four haircuts in the game for dudes.
Alright, after a little chat with Crimson Raven in PMs, that's all four members of the new team set.

@Asuras
@Caasicam
@SuperCustodiam
@Crimson Raven

Once the latter three have their characters in order, you might consider making a PM, a discord group, a skype call, or something to facilitate communication. This can also serve to get Super acquainted with the wide world of RPing.

Welcome to the party!
Yo.

I'm still interested, if there's room. New season and all got me in the mood.

Yes, I think we'd be glad to have you. Please PM me, Harine, and Prince your sheet when you have it done.
As of this morning my sister has passed away, all I can ask is for time before posting again.

May God rest her soul, and may God be with you.

Please, PM me with your character sheet. I forget if I have to remember to search the OOC thread for it. Please and thank you.

Yo my man:

@Balthazar007, I am interested in creating a location with some proximity to Feyhollow town, where people might consider visiting next. I am also thinking about giving the place an overriding mission that can occupy those who choose to go there. Should be fun. That fine by you?

On another note, I would recommend calling out the players who haven't posted in a good while. At the very least, it would be wise to mark them as 'inactive'.

@PyroDash888 It's like naming a Dark Souls RP "Bright Souls" xD

That is exactly what Sho Minazuki and I called our idea for a Dark Souls rp that we worked on enough to make zones and bosses for a while back. No joke.

For the guardian, the situation seemed dreamlike. A fear of heights -or, as in his case, an unease of them- meant, of course, that all too often in dreams, he would be suspended in some high place. Beset by the howling wind, and clinging for dear life to, say, a catwalk above a canyon or a bridge between two buildings, he couldn't move for fear of the slightest error sending him plummeting into the abyss. Only now, this very scenario was playing out not just in the real world, but also in front of the person he wanted desperately to impress. Stiffness overtook him completely, so much so that he couldn't turn to look as Krysanthe crossed the gap with what looked like frustrating ease, and when she returned to check on him it took a colossal effort to prevent himself from reddening. “Some help,” he intoned in a quiet, deadpan voice. “Would be...great.”

When the opportunity arose, he quickly took the offered hand, and the combined strength of two physically-oriented hunters-to-be landed him on ordinary terrain in no time. Masking his breathing as much as he could, Abel held out a hand to summon the Ampere from where it lodged, and obediently the weapon jerked free from the cliff and sailed into his awaiting grip. “Thank you.” What a joke. He should have accepted her help in the first place. What kind of cool guy rejected a perfectly good idea to attempt his own stunt, only to flub it at the last second and ask for help anyway? Feeling exactly like a clod of earth that he shook from his jacket, he pointed his weapon forward into the forest. A little enthusiasm for a change might counteract the conflict brewing inside him—a tincture for the poison of doubt. “Onward!”

He took one step and stopped again, suddenly alert. The rustle of underbrush could be heard, and while this could have easily been the sign of some wild creature like a rabbit or bore, Abel got the distinct impression that something a little more wild lay in store only a hundred feet away. After all, the Emerald Forest was stocked with monsters for the students to fight, as far as he knew. In Beacon's training classes, captured Grimm would occasionally be released for students to practice against as an alternative to them withering away, but out here, even in an environment regulated by the school, any encounter should be treated as the real thing. “Hum,” he said aloud, hopefully drawing Krysanthe's attention. “Almost sounds like Gri...!”

The guardian's warning was quite literally cut off by the emergence of what looked like a laser from the woods. The ludicrously high-pressure stream of red liquid swept toward him, capable of bisecting anyone without an activated aura. Instantly Abel's instincts flared to life, and he threw himself bodily to the ground so that the cutting stream could pass overhead. He trusted his companion to do the same, or to otherwise leap over it. A moment later the stream ceased, and from the foliage emerged a Redcap--an eight-foot tall, bloated monstrosity half insect, half dragon, and all nasty. Unfortunately, Abel didn't recognize it at all. This more rare species of Grimm lay in the back of his class's textbook, but he'd never seen one during his years attending Palisade, or whilst on the wall. “The hell is that thing?” He picked himself up as the creature ambled forward, giant claws outstretched. Reflexively he got into a fighting stance, and aimed his Ampere at the horrid beast.
@Pyrodash888 I would also give a Fate RP managed by you a chance, and be willing to help out in whatever way I can. This very morning, I went through the steps of creating a Servant to understand the whole thing better, and so I already have a character queued up for any such RP.
