Pop an interest check up! Plenty of people not interested in that kind of thing. It's less visible because 1x1 discussion happens mostly over PMs

Locations - What You Know

Beyond the Great River to the East lies the lands of the Elves.
The Capitol is a bustling port city on the south ocean.
The Dwarves live in the Northeastern Mountains. They are friendly.
The Deadwood Grove is very spooky.
Middlemarket is far to the east and travellers meet to trade there.
Woodsworth has a prized chicken praised from far around.
Swampmuck is better then Woodsworth in every regard.

Locations - What You've Heard

Woodsworth is better then Swampmuck in every regard.
Rabid fairies live in the Deadwood Grove and attack wandering travellers with their vicious fanged snouts.
Lions live in the trees of the Deep Wilds. The Deep Wilds are very hot.
Beyond the Deep Wilds is an even deeper Deep Wilds.
There's a place wizards go to learn magic and they eat rocks there to gain their powers.
The Deadwood Grove is very spooky. Someone told you so so it has to be true.
Lizardmen live in the Dreadmorasse. They are cannibals who like to eat newborn babies, puppies and baby foals.

Player / Character List

Bartholomew Strongheart, the most darn tootinest friendliest human bartender, who knows everyone who's everyone @rush99999
Dreeda Brom, the aspiring Verdan tinkerer with an ambitious and adventurous spirit @Cao the Exiled
Thel'dek, the Kobold Merchant with dreams of running a great Emporium @Dark Cloud
Einkil Torunn, the friendly hill dwarf who makes ~moonshine~ from local wild swamp produce @Necroes

Homes & Buisnesses

@rush99999The Adamant Tankard has been owned by the family for generations since the founding of Swampmuck and owes it's name to a precious family heirloom. It can be found off the Town Square. The Tavern is a bigger then average in Swampmuck, standing at 3 storeys, with a large firepit, regular hogroasts, wood floor beer garden, kitchen, pantry, cellar and several bedrooms for paying guests. It has a selection of meals, Home Brew drinks and Local Brew drinks, most of the latter provided by Einkil.
@Cao the ExiledDreeda's hut can be found on the outskirts of Swampmuck to the south, near the swamp. It is crude in nature, comprised of one big room. The most interesting item is a good quality shelf, on which a small doll sized tinker goblin sits with a letter. Dreeda lives and works on their projects here.
@NecroesEinkil's burrow is a abysmal mudfloor hut outside of town near the swamp. It has nothing of interest to it. There is no brewing stand or secret tunnel to a willow glade here.
@Dark CloudOver the last few years Thel'dek had wandered picking up trinkets and baubles to add to his collection of various curios that he sold from his wagon near busy highways and as a member of the Merchant Guild he was very much the lowest member of it's society, often the joke of the guild and ridiculed for his business as in the opinion of his superiors the very idea of a shop selling what they viewed as garbage was laughable at best.

Swampmuck is the classiest village in at least a twenty four mile radius, boasting the muddiest of fields and proudly representative of one flea-bitten donkey. Located on the northern border of festering swampland where no humanoid creature with any real standards would live, the only reason anyone ever mistakenly travels here is for the annual harvest festival.

You are a commoner who calls Swampmuck home, and your life is about to change forever. This year's harvest festival - home to such amazements as this year's giant vegetable competition and a real life dragonling - is about to be visited by a representative of the Mage's Guild. A representative who's looking to pay some adventurers more money then you've ever heard of. Enough money to make you richer then the richest person you've ever met.

And all he wants help with is testing out some fancy sticks...

Welcome to chaos! This is a curse of 300 wands roleplay. The aim of the game is for a bunch of turnip sniffing smhucks to test out 300 wands of magic missile and maybe do some quests if they stay alive and stuff. Each wand casts magic missiles of course, but the unfortunate thing about magic is it's never quite predictable enough. As such, each wand has a unique quirk determined on the spot by moi using a ridiculous random table that includes blowing up the sun. Try to be lucky when you pick out your wands, okay?

Expect an unstable roleplay. You hand might become a tentacle. The nearby river becomes overrun with frogs. Things will go off the rails and never truly return to the status quo. You character's life or perhaps the roleplay could end randomly, spectacularly or poorly. My suggestion would be to take it in good fun and if you find that distressing, this may not be the roleplay for you.

The genre of this game is fantasy Comedy. Any attempt at dark, gritty angsty deliciousness shall be foiled by the random quirks, I assure you. If you're looking for some light-hearted fun and don't mind things going potentially catastrophically awry, this game is for you. Who knows, your characters might live to be fully fledged adventurers!
If you're new to D&D, you're very much welcome to join, however I would highly recommend playing a traditional D&D game as your first experience instead. This is most certainly not that.
Heads up, my commitment to this thread is low and the posting style is free - low casual.
This game is a Sandbox. The world is minimally fleshed out with various points of interest. The high random element to this game and my previous experiences running Commoner's Curse, means my gm style will be more adaptive in nature rather then following a set storyline. In the same vein, you are welcome to add flavour to the world as you see fit, just keep me in the loop.

CHARACTER INFORMATION:
Everyone starts as a Lvl 1 Commoner. Your starting stats are 10, 10, 10, 10, 10, 10 or 12, 10, 10, 10, 10, 8 (not including racial modifiers).
You can be any race you want from any official supplement. Customs will be examined on a case by case basis.
You can have any background you like including custom ones, so long as it makes sense. No Commoner Rocket Scientists I'm afraid.
I usually run with weight, ammo, food and water, ect. but I'm not convinced this game type is suitable for that sort of thing. We will likely start with these things implemented, but it's possible they will get removed if those system seem obsolete for this style of play.
@DraconiWarlord sure, just be aware @rush99999 and @Cao the Exiled have expressed interest previously so even if a spot opened up it'd be a while.
@Dark Cloud Sure, sounds awesome actually! dropping you a line~

three IC posts overnight? y'all weren't kidding when you said you had stuff in the works! be still my beating heart...

@POOHEAD189 'manicured hand' pffff!
@Kenshi sorry to hear that Kenshi, absolute bummer when that happens :c just leave it a bit if it's too frustrating, no rush :D
