Neil Spellman

Location: Galactus' Ship - Central Room -> Outside Stark Tower
Skills: N/A
Neil figured it couldn't be too hard to figure out how to use the nullifier. When in doubt, just press a button, right? And in his opinion, someone unaware of how to use the weapon they were holding - especially when it was an all powerful one - just made them more dangerous. But as the Silver Surfer vanished, he gritted his teeth slightly. It had just been an illusion they had been struggling against? His eyes darted over towards Annie, wondering if she knew the entire time. Everything then went by so fast that before he knew it, they had been transported back to Earth by Mister Fantastic. Neil opened up the helmet of his suit, making that fatal hero's error of taking off a protective helmet in the midst of a war zone.

He had seen photographs of the Battle of New York - of the wreckage and horrors unleashed by Loki. He had seen video tapes of 9/11. This... This sent a chill down his spine, goosebumps covering his arms as his heard palpitated. This was horrible. He didn't even want to think about the civilian casualties - or even how many heroes must have fallen already against the Silver Surfer and Galactus. The nullifier in his hand felt incredibly small in all of this. Would Galactus even notice they had the weapon if they threatened him with it? And who would be able to be convincing with it? "Guin - you know this city better than the rest of us," Neil then copped out, "What do we do next?" He didn't know what building would be tall enough or if it would just be a better idea to let the Avengers handle things.

Guin Stark

Location: Galactus' Ship - Central Room -> Outside Stark Tower
Skills: Telepathy
Guin was wildly confused. If the Silver Surfer had been an illusion... then what had she tried to switch with? Raw power? No wonder it had made her brain feel like it was melting, imploding, and exploding all at once. It also just demonstrated how serious this threat was. She had seen Annie use her illusions combatively, but they were nowhere near the level of what the Surfer had accomplished. They had the nullifier though. As long as they kept a death grip on it, they'd be fine. Telling me not to do a thing makes me want to do the thing, she commented to Pietro, though her mental focus was really more on what Mister Fantastic had said - and the explosion in the background of his call.

In the blink of an eye, they were back down onto the ground - no longer on Galactus' ship. She gasped slightly, holding a gloved hand up to her mouth. For a moment, she was a little kid again, staring at the destruction of New York at Loki's hands, seeing her home decimated. Her father had nearly died going into a gigantic wormhole up in the sky. Guin took a steadying breath, reminding herself that this was a different day, a different battle - and that she couldn't afford to lose her focus.

Especially as she was being asked questions. "Well, Stark Tower has a great vantage point into the sky... It worked for Loki to summon the Chitauri, so it might work for us to talk to Galactus. Otherwise, the Empire State Building..." she drifted off for a moment. They could fly up to the top of one of those buildings with their suits and threaten Galactus, getting his attention. It'd be the most credible coming from one of their tech minded people - her, Mira, or Lance. Mira's heart condition ruled her out, she needed a real doctor to see her soon. And Lance kept going green.

"I can take the device up to the top of Stark Tower - or we can all go up there as a group, show unity against Galactus and threaten him together."

🗡️ Megan Pendragon 🗡️

Location: Merlin's Warehouse
Skills: N/A

"I don't like Isabella," Megan told her brother bluntly. She was irritated that he received a call from her in the midst of this, even if Maleficent had been spotted nearby. She wanted to focus on the wizard, find out whatever he knew about their pasts, their parents. If he was telling the truth and they were from some fairytale land... Well she had a lot of questions to ask. One of the main ones was how the reality of that land appeared as fictional stories here. "Be careful, Jack," she warned him as she got out of the car as well. She was getting a few goosebumps.

It didn't help she had the sensation of being watched. There had been an old man, as well as two gang members from what she could tell. Megan was getting mentally prepared to have to jump back into the car when the warehouse door opened and Merlin emerged. For a moment, she hesitated, wondering if this really was a safe choice. But she really wanted to know what was going on - curiosity had killed the cat, but satisfaction brought it back. She grimaced slightly and crossed over the threshold, entering Merlin's warehouse. "I believe we were being watched."

Raynor Blake

Location: the Quinjet
Skills: Small Aircraft Piloting

Raynor waited for Tinley to answer Matt's question and inform him of the plan, but nothing happened. Cass wasn't there at the moment either, due to her condition, meaning that Tinley's second wasn't able to propose a plan. He didn't want to be the leader in this situation. The last time he led a team... Raynor shoved the memories back. He didn't want to think about his time working for Erik and Charles - his time leading a team based out of Genosha on his world. He had been lucky to escape without S.W.O.R.D. capturing him. "We find Thane, we find the Black Order. We either kill the Black Order or throw them in the Raft, whichever is easiest, and then put Thane into S.H.I.E.L.D. custody. Director Hill can decide whether to launch his inhuman ass into space or protect them from Thanos," Raynor said.

It wasn't a particularly elegant plan, but it was the only one anyone had suggested. They needed to stop the Black Order. If they were dead, they were stopped - and if killing made people's stomachs churn, then they could just imprison them forever under the ocean. That worked too. If Raynor had his way, he would definitely then blast Thane off into space, but he also figured his coworkers wouldn't like that idea - they'd probably rather the kid be protected from his father and whatever doomsday prophecy.

As they reentered orbit, Raynor grit his teeth slightly. "We were exposed to a lot of radiation in the Quantum Realm - it might have impacted your physiology, caused you to mutate," he explained, hating even thinking about this. "Pym and Banner are experts on the influence of radiation on the body and the Quantum Realm."

The landing was hardly smooth. It was rough and fast, the entire quinjet shaking rapidly and throwing anyone around who wasn't properly secured. Raynor had ended up landing them in the grounds of Cardiff Castle - and by some stroke of luck, the tourist attraction was closed that day. He switched on the camouflage for the jet and turned all of the systems off, turning around to stare dead on at Oliver. "I dare you to open that damn door without letting everyone get suited up."

Bonnie Chase

Location: the Mirror Dimension
Skills: N/A

"Forgive me, I don't mean that she has any hidden powers or anything of the sort," Strange explained to Cass. "Yet not every human would have been able to provide you with an adequate amount of life force and live... Much less be selfless enough to do it. That is all I meant by it." His gaze then wandered back over to Bonnie. She was more than certain that she didn't have any special abilities - she wasn't a mutant, she wasn't inhuman, she was just Bonnie - yet there was something about what Strange said that left a little bit of niggling doubt in her mind. The Sorcerer Supreme hadn't been born with powers, right?

Bonnie crossed her arms, mulling over Cass' question. "I'd love to tell you to stay here - to keep you in a little bubble of safety until I can find a cure for you... but I also know you wouldn't be you if you didn't leave here instantly to go help others," she admitted. "You're stubborn and an ass, but you're also a hero... I'll support you in whatever you decide as a friend. But as a doctor, you one hundred percent should stay here and rest."

Strange then turned his attention to Cass again, chuckling with amusement at her question. "Isn't that what heroes do in theory - help those in need?" he asked rhetorically. "I make it my business to monitor threats to the Earth - from this dimension as well as others. When I detect the inhumans teleporting two SHIELD agents to a hospital in New York City, just hours after the Black Order attacked Attilan, I notice."

Bonnie bit her lip slightly. Strange at the very least confirmed what Crystal and Medusa had told them - that Attilan had been attacked by Thanos' soldiers. It was good news, since it meant they could at least trust the inhumans to be honest, yet horrible news for the fate of the planet. Strange only seemed to deal with world ending threats - the reality warping in House of M, the time traveling of Ultron... His presence here meant that they were all in grave danger - it almost guaranteed that not everyone was going to survive this, whether it be Thanos or the disease that ultimately culls the Earth. "Are you going to help us, Strange?" Bonnie asked bluntly. "Our team up on the moon has information - we can work together to put an end to this... And with your skills as a doctor, maybe we can find a cure too."

"I'm a surgeon," Strange corrected. "While my medicinal knowledge is vast, I hardly am qualified to make traditional cures - my expertise in that area lies in with magic. However, I will help you." He then moved his hands in complex patterns, casting a locator spell. "Your friends are in Cardiff. Shall we? Will you be coming as well, Agent Reed?"

🌈 Leda Storm 🌈 and ✨ Rebecca Eventide ✨

Location: Argo III -> Leda's room / Rebecca's room -> Hallway
Skills: N/A

Leda had raised an eyebrow at Demetri after his comment about just giving Zeus the fat and bones. While not all of the gods were universally fantastic, saying things like that about the sky god while on a flying ship was a pretty bold move - even bold for her. "Yeah, I'm gonna take this one - I'll be out in a sec," she told Keira. Entering her own cabin, she shut the door behind her and instantly wanted to vomit. It wasn't that she was motion sick or anything like that... it was just the interior design choices! Orange everywhere! The beds had orange sheets on them, the carpet was orange, and she half expected to find that the small window had an orange shade. She stared outside for a moment.

"Aphrodite, help our souls," she muttered. While she would have prayed to her mother for some color guidance, she knew that Iris' solution to most things tended to be tye die. And yes, Leda loved explosions of color, but she also knew that Aphrodite was probably the queen of accessorizing and decorating. The orange carpet made her want to gag each time she looked at it and she set her things down on the bed, tempted to go ask if anyone had any pain or dye or something lying around.

Rebecca, meanwhile, didn't have nearly as visceral a reaction to the cabin decor. The carpet was nice and she was certain that it would feel nice underneath her toes. The bed looked lovely and she sat down on it for a moment, before she placed her things neatly on top of it. "O Triple Goddess, bless this home so that I shall use it to practice thy craft," she whispered, centering herself for a moment. "Give us thy guidance and they aid on this journey. As we face crossroads, let thy light shine down to give us clarity. Let the forces of nature carry us as we work in harmony with the greater powers and forces, both hidden and seen in this world. And if I should perish on this quest, let another carry on in my place and complete this sacred work."

She let silence hang in her room for a moment, before she stood up and moved to the door, feeling that she had done what she could to establish a safe and welcoming aura. Emerging into the hallway of sorts, she glanced around to see who else was already finished with their room selection. About half were done by her count. "What awaits us next?" she inquired, curious to see if anyone else knew. Leda emerged back into the hallway as well, smiling a bit awkwardly and tensely at Keira.
@MsMorningstar Approved! Please move her on over. Season 2 begins in 7 days (approximately), which is when you'll be brought in as an unaffiliated mutant in DC :) No need to do relations!
@josephb Unfortunately no - we’re completely full and will be so for likely the next year.

Washington D.C.: September 7th, 2020 - 12:15 PM

It wasn't long after Magneto had agreed to Reeva and Emma's scheme to murder Sebastian Shaw. Elsewhere in the city, the Mutant Underground was planning to intervene at Skyrise Apartments, after Havok received a tip of Purifier activity in the area. A petite blonde haired girl named Electra was outside of a nail salon, her stomach growling as she searched for food. Leighton Brooks was inside, getting her nails done without a care in the world. No one knew what the Hellfire Club had set into motion - the nefarious scheme that the White and Black Queens had devised.

"Very well," Magneto consented to the pair. "If your actions rid the world of a Nazi brute, so be it." His red helmet glinted in the light as Magneto traversed the room, opening the doors to the balcony. He glanced back at the two for a moment. "For your sake, I hope you survive," he warned ominously, before using his powers over magnetism, he flew off into the afternoon sky.

Emma couldn't help but laugh slightly. "He never changes - always one for dramatics," she mused. "Now I have no intention on turning a blind eye, Reeva. We're a partnership."

"Mum should be involved," the Three in One agreed. "She's the closest to Shaw."

Reeva paused for a moment, the room enveloped in silence. With four telepaths, all of them genetically identical, she knew she couldn't have much privacy. She was forced to proceed with a true and open alliance with Emma. Could she be trusted? Would she turn on her and ensure that she rose to the position of Black King instead? "Of course - I suppose it was foolish of me to imagine you would sit idly by."

"Naturally. Now, spill your plans - I hate this posturing and delay," Emma scoffed, taking a sip of her martini.

"We can't kill him ourselves. It would encourage infighting and division, as well as cause the other circles to question our leadership... But perhaps we should exploit the spy that Charles Xavier planted in our midst - Sage, the mutant computer."

The Three in One rolled their eyes at the mention of Sage. Her thoughts were shielded from psychics, as she thought in binary - just ones and zeros, too difficult for them to decipher. "We still think she should be gotten rid of - teach the X-Men a lesson not to meddle with the Hellfire Club."

"No, darlings, Reeva is right - we should use Sage before she is eliminated. We can leak the information to her on Shaw's deeds, which will no doubt be sent back to Xavier. He may send the X-Men to investigate or another figure... Yet with the Mutant Underground's presence here, I believe they'll likely become involved."

"We can send Mystique with the information to the Underground as well, ensure that they get the scent," Reeva proposed. "I'll dispatch the Hounds to attack their base, radicalize them against Shaw... Those poor creatures will trace back to Shaw and Sinister, not us two."

"The Morlocks should be killed as well - add to that fire of rage. And if it doesn't move the Mutant Underground, it will at least persuade more mutants to our cause and methods," Emma mused. "Task your purifier to it."

Reeva smiled wickedly. "Should this fail, we do have the contingency plan - Anastasia. We can control her by promising her power and if she dies at Shaw's hands... She's expendable."

Emma nodded, chuckling again. "It'd be a shame if she does perish. She has spirit and ambition..."
Washington D.C.: October 31st, 2020 - 3:00 AM

Early Halloween morning, only four were awake and gathered. Emma stood with her three daughters, joining hands in a circle, with the unconscious form of David Haller in the middle, better known as Legion. Their forms threw dark shadows on the wall, with only candles serving as lighting. All four pairs of eyes beamed a brilliant, alien blue as they struggled, diving through his mind. "David, you are going to listen to me," Emma instructed softly.

There were two other bodies in the room - both of them cold to the touch, covered in burial shrouds.

"You are going to reach out," she prompted, as David tossed violently, "and awaken Celeste and Mindee."

The Three in One then echoed her words. "Reach out. Awaken Celeste and Mindee," they commanded.

David thrashed again, before his body was propelled upwards, levitating. The two corpses flew up as well.

"Manifest the power of resurrection. Manifest life into my fallen daughters," Emma instructed, her voice cool yet tears were flowing down her cheeks. "Bring back Celeste and Mindee."

"Bring back Celeste and Mindee," the Three in One echoed.

They continued in this pattern for hours, until all involved were exhausted. Legion lay on the bed, broken, blood covering his face and his breaths ragged. If they continued to push, he would surely die. The corpses remained just that - empty husks awaiting the return of the two souls.

"Mum... We need to move onto the contingency plan," the Three in One pushed. "We can't bring life into their bodies... But we could place them in the bodies of others."

Emma didn't say a word, sitting down next to Celeste and Mindee. She smoothed their hair and sighed. They were her clones, but they were her daughters. She was building Genosha for them - for the children.

"Is that what they want?" Emma asked, looking at her living daughters. Celeste and Mindee were preserved in the Three in One's hive mind. They weren't truly dead, just existing without bodies or form.

"Yes."

"...Then you know the two bodies they will have to take," Emma answered, before blowing out the candles, plunging the room into darkness.
Wundagore Mountain: December 10th, 2020 - 10:50 PM

Wundagore Mountain. The birth place of Quicksilver and the Scarlet Witch. The home of the High Evolutionary. The tomb of Chthon. It is known by many for many reasons and purposes, yet the most important one is its service as a magical nexus point. At the mountain, all realities are close together, threatening to blur into one. Magic is heightened, achieving its peak. It is also the only known place on Earth where the Life Force can be harvested and used - the very power source used to create life... to mold destiny... to change the universe.

Wanda Maximoff has been in silent meditation here for three days, three hours, and three minutes. The ritual she is attempting to undergo was written in ancient times, designed to be used by only those of great power and might in order to correct an apocalyptic wrong. She floated off the ground, her scarlet cloak rippling along the slight breeze, a circle of candles and arcane symbols surrounding her.

She's designed the world in her mind already. She's going to give everyone what they always wished for - a world where everyone could be truly happy. No hero would stand against her, as they would be content. No villains would rise, as there would be no need for sorrow or suffering. Mutants would take their place as the dominant species on the planet.

And she would have her best friend back - her brother.

Her eyes flashed open. "No more X-Men," she whispered, as the Life Force burned within her being. The world began to warp rapidly around her, dissolving into red mist, until...

@MsMorningstar So, here's the things I've noticed that need edits (my co-GM may spot more when she gets off work):

-Sleep deprivation as a fear... I would suggest adding a qualifier onto that or swapping it out entirely. Since sleep deprivation is arguably the norm for this group. If you mean someone forcing her to stay awake, add forced in front of it and that'll be good.
-Delete the descriptions in her skills - just need the name (i.e. "Haggling" not "Haggling (Getting that five dollar item for two bucks at the pawn shop)")

I'll message you the info for our Discord server and our backup forum. The last bit is a question for you - at this moment, would you like for her to start off unaffiliated with a group or would you want her to be a member already of the Underground or the Hellfire Club?

⚡John Watts⚡ and 🏹 Arthur Twist 🏹

Location: Smallville? -> Metropolis?
Skills: Investigation
Watts huffed slightly, having been expecting a little bit more gratitude from Andrew for saving his life. The suit had exploded less than a minute after Watts had phased him out of it. Would Andrew have preferred to still be trapped inside of it, doomed to die? And how was Watts supposed to have stopped it from exploding? It would have exploded whether or not the archer had thrown it at Longshot. At least now Longshot was down and tied up properly by Belladonna. "I saved your life. You're welcome," he told Andrew simply. He held off yelling at him - unlike the others, Andrew had the mind of a child.

But when it came to Longshot's motivations, he wasn't all that surprised. Watts had seen a lot of horrible kids television shows in his time, especially since his daughter had loved watching them together when she was little. In one of them, he was fairly certain the villain's motivation was that he didn't like exercise. Tormenting kids because they had nothing better to do? It was about par for the course. Lazy writing, sure, but the target audience for this was likely still in diapers. "So he has other playground bullies to summon," Watts observed.

"Let's get out of here then," Arthur said, his voice filled with determination as he grabbed Longshot by the scruff of his neck. Evelyn had mentioned seeing something in the trees and he dragged Longshot with him in that direction, pausing for a moment as he scanned the trees for anything that resembled a door. For a moment, he didn't see anything at all. Yet he was used to searching for things amongst the trees and he allowed his eyes to relax, letting things blur slightly, and then he saw it - an archway. It was easy to miss, blending in almost entirely.

He dragged Longshot with him through the archway, assuming that the others would follow almost instantaneously. There was a sudden change in pressure and he glanced around at his surroundings, his eyes narrowed. They were in a large and dark city - technologically advanced from what he could tell compared to what was possible on Earth. His eyes narrowed even more. He hated technology. Watts followed on through a moment later, looking around at the alien world in utter astonishment.

Nothing nefarious had turned up yet in the auror's sweep of the train - aside from a bit of hostile behavior in one of the compartments. Frederick Flynn was handling compartment 15, Lyra Burke was in 14, Bonnie Flynn in 13, Lionel St. Willfold in 12, and Callum McFenwick in 11. At this rate of coverage, it would only be another twenty minutes for the sweep of the train to conclude. The aurors couldn't afford to be anything but thorough.

Compartment 1 -

Penny blushed at Madalyne's compliment. She was used to hearing those things from boys at Hogwarts, but she never really felt interested in them. Something about her female friends saying those things though always set her heart a flutter and brought a rose hint to her cheeks. "Chiara's painfully shy... She had a traumatic accident as a child that I don't think she's ever managed to quite shake," Penny explained quietly with a grimace. "I'm sorry I can't tell you more... It's just not my place, you understand."

Talbott poked his head out into the corridor, narrowing his eyes. The sneakoscopes and whatnot were continuing to sing. "The aurors are halfway through the train... Honestly, if it takes them this long to secure the train, no wonder those Death Eaters managed to escape. This is ridiculous."

Compartment 13 -

Paige's cat, Hestia, saw the opening and jumped onto Zelda's lap since Goose was preoccupied. Bonnie chuckled slightly, bending down and giving the cat a scratch behind the ears. Goose was rather old - Bonnie had been his original owner, yet as a toddler Zelda and the cat had been inseparable. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Andre," Bonnie said kindly. "Now try not to let this mist get in your eyes - and don't worry, it's just a routine check."

"What is that stuff?" Andre asked, as Bonnie misted the air.

"It's a potion designed to reveal hidden things - cancel illusions and whatnot," Bonnie explained. "You're all set. I'm sorry darling that your father and I couldn't drop you off... But maybe we'll surprise you one Hogsmeade weekend, eh?"

Paige Atwell

Location: Compartment 15
Magic: N/A

Frederick shook his head slightly at Elizabeth. "Nah, just need you all to stay put while we're looking around okay? And keep an eye on the younger kids, that's all you really can do right now, okay?" he said with a slight smile, before he glanced over at Fae when he heard the bite in her words, and let out a sigh. "Watch what you say kid. Just watch it, she understood what I said," he said, nodding towards Elizabeth, "And maybe you should too. Thinking like that will only make more people like the Death Eaters, and considering you don't seem to get it, then why are you only saying that Paige could be a Death Eater? Anyone else in this compartment could have been one, even you could have been one. So how about you drop the tough girl act, since if anything you are scaring the kids even more than before just by talking things like that. So how about you calm down and stop pointing the finger at people."

Barnaby's eyebrows furrowed, confused at just what Fae had been implying. "How could I think with something that wasn't my brain?" he asked, missing the point entirely. Fortunately the younger students didn't understand it either. Paige got it and if she hadn't been so mad at Fae, she would have laughed. She knew that Fae was lying. If anyone else had come into this compartment, they wouldn't have gotten this scrutiny. Fae didn't even seem to care that Frederick admitted to having familial ties to Death Eaters either.

"You don't need to fight my battles for me, Mr. Flynn - though I appreciate it," Paige thanked him. It was a little bit weird seeing him in a professional capacity. She thought of him more as Zelda's weird dad than any sort of authority figure. "And Fae - how is it not personal? Like Mr. Flynn said, you're singling me out. Maybe you're just feeling inferior or maybe you hit your head too hard playing Quidditch, but I am not a Death Eater. I've never said the M word either! If what you have against me is that I'm a Slytherin, then you and Elizabeth must be a rotten duo. And if it's that my brother did horrible things, then why aren't you trying to protect the kids from Mr. Flynn? You made this personal and you're treating me like I'm some sort of prejudiced monster, when the only one here with prejudice is you!" she huffed.

"Um, excuse me?" Beatrice piped up, looking really concerned. Chiara had curled into a ball in the back of the compartment, breathing rapidly - as if she couldn't get enough air. "Something's wrong with Chiara..." The poor thing was having a panic attack.

"Merlin's beard...She's having a panic attack," Paige deduced. She had seen a lot of kids act like that at Hogwarts before - usually after being notified that their parents had been killed or were being sent to Azkaban. "Let's give her some space?" she suggested softly.

"I could find a kitty for her to cuddle? Or a crup puppy? That always helps me when I get these..." Barnaby suggested.
