You can. But you'll have to make an entire profile of her species as it does not exist yet in MGE-verse.

Hey guys, I've been busy preparing for a 12-hour shift this week (my shift's healthy from corona but the other shift isn't so we're made to cover for them) so update will be postponed yet again to next week.

Sorry for the inconvenience!

"Try working on getting a feel for your magical energy if you want to for now. I need to rest a bit."
Augusta?

Nick heeded Augusta's words. She even showed him a couple of demonstrations, first with a ball of magic on her hands then flicking fire into existence with her fingers. She did it seemingly effort, like walking or breathing. Alright, Nick cracked his fingers and mentally prepared himself. Alright, feel the energy like she said. He knew some physics concepts so that should help too and use the hands to help push out the magic.

Nick focused and concentrated, attempting to feel the magic and cast it. A simple fireball, a small one, was on his mind. Oxygen and heat combusting and being flung away. When he felt it was ready, Nick pushed his hands forward toward an empty patch of snow.

...

Nothing. No matter, Nick doubted he could do it in the first try. One more time!

...

Nothing. Alright, third time's the charm!

...

Nothing. "This... might be harder than I thought."

"Glad tah see yeh made et out arright lad. I were a tad worried when weh got split."
Donovan

Donovan placed a hand on Nick's wounded shoulder. "Dude, stop. You might--" The black corruption on his wound soon dissipated and Nick realized that middle-aged guy had just cast some more healing magic on him. While Augusta fixed the physical, Donovan cleaned off the... whatever that was. "Whoa. Thanks for that, dude. I didn't know what that was. I mean, it didn't feel like anything but it still kinda made me nervous."

Donovan then went off to find and join Isidore in the snowy woods, leaving Nick with Augusta. "Well, Augusta, what do we do next? I mean, we can still rest here if you're tired while I continue trying to cast magic. Or we can head off and find shelter. Maybe a cave or something?"

Thinking about his inability to cast magic yet, Nick decided to add. "Say, got any tips for magic for a newbie like me?"
@LiverisGood

Yep! That's exactly how it goes.
DENSE FOREST

The Haynek Institute Operators did not dally. Wu took point and they located the main road, a wide dirt path, that lead to the abandoned radio tower. Their pace was quick, heeding the Archosaur's warning. Indeed, as soon as they entered the dense forest, the Operators felt a sense of overwhelming dread. The sky turned dim and the trees around them seemed to be closing in on them. The silence amongst the group was almost deafening.

"Look!" Wu broke the silence. He, too, was burdened by the dread but his eyes then spotted several figures in the path ahead.

There was a group of six people. Their skins were pale as the moon and they were mostly naked with just rags and leaves covering their nethers. On their heads were headresses, or crowns made of black material that the Operators realized was Originium, crafted and shaped into headwear. They were huddled together, looking at something the Operators could not see. Blocked by the naked bodies of this strange group.

"Could they be... the savages that Archosaur talked about?"

Despite Ibon whispering, the naked group noticed and immediately rose in alert. Their Originium crowns obscured their faces and once they found the Haynek Institute Operators, one of them screeched a war cry before they all charged to battle. Four of them were armed with long sticks while the remaining two remained behind and began hurling rocks.

"Damn it!" Wu blocked a hurled stone with his enormous shield. "It's on!"

"Alright! Let's go play! Anything fun to see?!"
Ditzy Stoneclub

"There's gonna be a fireworks display about two hours after nightfall. You guys interested in that? Should be visible in from any part of the port but the view will be the best at the docks." While Nero answered Ditzy, he spoke as if he was talking to everyone still present. "Not sure where Miss Chavez got ahold of the stuff, but this isn't the first time I got surprised by the Dark Priest."

"Fireworks? How lovely!" Talia, at least, looked forward to the event. "Oh, Ada! You probably don't know what fireworks are." The Cyclops then began. "They are lit up and launched from the ground and once they get high up in the air... Boom! They explode in a very beautiful display of bright and colorful lights. It's a really amazing sight. We should all come see it." She explained, complete with hand demonstrations.

Neil laughed at Talia's excitement before turning to the Altissima sisters. "I'll see if my... surprise is still intact and ready after all that. Do you two wanna come see it as soon as possible or do you wanna watch the fireworks first? I'm fine either way."

~@13org (FYR)~

"It was certainly an exhausting day, considering everything that happened. What do you want to do? We could go back to the guild to rest and relax a bit."
Freyr

"Well, I was wondering what you wanted to do." Haley told her new Viera lover. "But since you sound like you're tired and wanna go home, then sure, let's go back to the guild. We can catch up with Yang and Bart on the way back." Her green eyes then narrowed, seductively. "And maybe we can do something fun on the guild while we rest."

"Uhh, that is if I'm reading you correctly. Just tell me if I'm wrong and you actually wanted to stay in the festival. I'll be fine with that." Haley raised her wings. "Don't wanna sound pushy or anything."

~@Restalaan (YNG)~

"Alright, I'll go back and check on my disciple and Kira."
Yang Bethlehem

"I'll come with you, Yang." The guild leader approached. "I've had my fun in the festival and I have to organize all the requests that I've gathered. It's gonna be a busy day tomorrow, Yang."

-

You and Bart boarded the wagon the guild used to get to Boreal Port. The trip was mostly silent and the guild leader seemed to be deep in thought. The sun slowly dipped into the horizon, bathing the grassland landscape in a pretty orange tinge. Night would fall soon and the guild headquarters was soon in sight. It was then that Bart broke the silence between him and you.

"Yang, I gotta ask. Am I a good guild leader?" Bart spoke. "If you had the chance, would you replace me with someone else?"

"Medivac, I don't mind waiting but can we actually wait for her? She'd have to go through the woods to get here. You know, the woods that is apparently evil and spirited away 3 people that we know of. And you two can correct me if I am wrong but from the sounds of it, she's coming here alone?"
Radiant

"I don't doubt the strength of an Ursus but even that may have trouble against whatever it is we are facing. Ibun and Wu, how soon do you think Zasada is going to arrive? Do you have any idea?"
Medivac

"We're just north of the main town. There's not much forest between here and there, don't worry. I mean, it's not completely safe... but it's safe enough." Wu assured Radiant before addressing Medivac. "I'm not sure. Hopefully, she considers that we're waiting for her and gets straight to the point with the mayor. But knowing Zasada, she will."

It was then that another figure appeared, an Archosaur boy with dark skin and green scales ran up to the group. "Archosaur? What's wrong?" Wu greeted the newcomer with worry, not liking how the boy approached them with panic. "Uh, guys. This is Archosaur. He's one of the locals who helped us out and told us about Riventor and the forest around it." The Defender introduced the boy.

"Guys, guys. It's bad. Really bad." The Archosaur panted. "The forest. It's agitated. Not sure why, but everybody else has already went inside. I came here to warn you but I really need to get back." He told the group of Operators. "Listen, don't bother looking for refuge here. Nobody will let you in, and my place is too small for all of you. Not to mention the 'Miasma'." A pant before he continued. "Head straight to the radio tower. I know the path there passes through the forest but I'd say you should go while the forest isn't at its angriest."

"Don't worry about your Ursus friend. I'll find her and look after her. Just go!" The Archosaur finished before leaving, going as soon as he arrived.

Wu and Ibon looked to one another before looking at Radiant and Medivac. "...Looks like we have no choice. You two ready?"

“The flower became our ally and aided our escape. Augusta’s capable of healing now; care to experiment on your limits with Nick?”
Isidore

"After you left, we went into the depths of the complex. We made a deal with a demon for it's survival and a guaranteed escape for us. Well, it's species' survival? Regardless, we escaped with it's seed and a new dog."
Augusta?

"What? You made a deal with the black tar-thing down below? Escaped with a seed and Octavia? What're you gonna do with the seed?" Nick was incredulous. These people did get in a lot of trouble in there. He was almost glad he ran away. Then again, he shouldn't judge a book by its cover. Maybe the black thing from the ruins wasn't bad, just lashing out or something. Still, Nick didn't trust it but he did trust the trio. "Well, I hope you three know what you're doing."

Isidore then left to hunt for food. A bit hasty, Nick thought, but if that's what he wants to do then by all means.

"Nick, I want you to trust me that you'll feel better. With all the black substance, we just need to be safe. It probably shouldn't hurt."
Augusta?

"Wait, what're you gonna do?" Augusta's words put Nick on edge. He reflexively recoiled while the Elven woman snapped a small flame into existence on her fingers. Nick still couldn't believe how that was possible. She then brought it over to his shoulder wound. "Wait, what're you--"

Nick was silenced as he felt the small flame spread its warmth over the injury. It burned, sort of? The wound felt nice and the dull pain faded away. The bleeding stopped completely now and while the damage wasn't fully healed, it was still a lot better than the crude dressing Nick gave it with a makeshift bandage. "Thanks, Augusta. You sure can do anything, can't you? Casting all sorts of magic and all."

"Hey, didn't you say you were gonna teach me magic? Now's a good a time as any, isn't it?"
~ Cal Family Mausoleum ~

They did it. They killed Damon Cal. They killed a vampire. It might not be that big of a deal to the other Iron Rose Knights but Jarde was just in a fight with a mighty vampire, and he survived! He was almost killed or turned earlier but ultimately, the Iron Roses were the victor against their vampiric foe. The undead might be more than a man but even he could not withstand the overwhelming onslaught thrown at him by three Iron Roses.

Damon's head rolled across the floor, decapitated by Sir Fleuri's downward slash which was then picked up by Lady Tyaethe. The senior paladin then said some words to the head, which then talked back. "He's still alive?!" Jarde gripped his sword in alarm. Was it not over? He looked at the body, expecting it to rise and continue the fight. What was it gonna take to kill this guy?

But no such thing happened, the bodiless Damon merely said his final words at Tyaethe before expiring. An amused smirk upon his face. The vampire said some cryptic words, and actually wished to fight the vampiric paladin. What was Tyaethe doing earlier? Jarde was pretty sure she went down with the Captain and the others. When did she get back?

However, now was not the time to ruminate. The battle was still ongoing and Jarde collected his sickles and reattached them to his chains. Once that was done, he joined the others to lower levels.

---

Now what happened here? There was a mage girl with silver hair that stood up, making her look hilarious to Jarde. There was a masked man holding a Nem hostage. Ah, that must be Tili's sister then. The other Iron Rose Knights were here too, fighting the enemies. Jarde's eyes immediately went towards his beloved Captain, who was fighting some sort of slime monster filled with bones and weapons and armor. He didn't care what that was, he quickly joined the fray on Fanilly's side.

Upong getting closer though, the blob's stench made itself apparent. Jarde winced from the sudden assault on his nose. His stomach lurched but he focused. Unfortunately, he had nothing in his arsenal that could harm this foul-smelling slime creature. Would attacking it physically work? Jarde doubted it but he knew one thing he could do.

While the creature focused on trying to catch the deft Iron Rose Captain, Jarde got behind it and caught its attention with a slash from his sickles. "I'll keep it distracted, Captain! Do whatever you need to do!" He told Fanilly. Jarde prepared himself to evade the attacks this blob thing would throw at him. Shouldn't be too hard, right?

"What is important is knowing that you're fine and nothing happened to you."
Freyr

Haley happily snuggled up to Freyr's embrace. "I doubt your girl was actually in any danger but I appreciate your concern." The public display of affection made Neil and the others blush and look away.

"While I can't be of much help regarding these matters, I hope my previous experiences might help you to make a decision. One that you will not regret in the future."
Freyr

"Many thanks, rabbit man. I shall consider your words." Nero replied, giving Freyr a nickname. Probably because he was not sure of the Viera's name yet. "Sorry you had to break an oath that you made. Can't imagine what you went through. Though, I suppose I'll find out soon, maybe. But I'm glad things worked out for you."

Nero chuckled when Ada began patting him on the head, making no move to stop her. "Thanks for that, little one. Hmm, I don't think I've seen her kind before. What monster is she?" He asked.

"Your guess is as good as ours." Sir Reed answered.

"Or I can you there, and I know the way better."
Yang Bethlehem

"No need for that, miss. I don't think I'll be heading there, but I appreciate the offer." The Owl Mage declined. "It is a shame that I have not spent time learning about Mister Ozzy, or his other male monster friends." She looked at Freyr before releasing a sigh of frustration. "Perhaps we will get another chance next time but for now, I am exhausted and will return to my lodging here."

"Farewell for now, Guild. May the gods watch over you all." And with that, Margaret spread her wings and flew back to the town.

"I think if anyone wants to go back to the Guild and check up on Ozzy and Kira, they absolutely should, but since Neil and I had already committed to helping Sister Riñas with the festival, it wouldn't be right for us to leave early, right?"
Sylvia Altissima

Neil was surprised at Sylvia's words, and her wink at him. He smiled at her, both of amusement and appreciation. "...Yeah, I guess she's right. Me and the sisters will be hanging out here until the end of the day."

"Well, that's their choice then. What will be ours?" Talia voiced out.

It appeared that Talia and Sir Reed would go along with the rest of the group's decision. Haley, meanwhile, looked up to Freyr. She would probably go along with whatever he decided.
