Meaningless Code: The Server After the End

Nazir

Appearance: Nazir's face is, 99% of the time, covered by a brown cloth that acts as a head wrap. He wears a brown cloak whose collar extends up to his mouth. It is looks exactly like what you'd see from someone who travels in the desert. The only thing you can see from his is his eyes and that's when he isn't wearing his aviator goggles which he wears when there's a sandstorm of some sort. When not being used, it's usually seen hanging around his neck. Underneath his clothing is some light armor to at least keep him moderately protected. He's fairly tall. He doesn't have any non-humanoid features but one can't be too sure since he's covered all the time. He seems to have a relatively lean body type.

Weapon/Abilities/Drone:

Grim Angels: Taking the form of two pistols charged with plasma energy which he affectionately called Leonis and Zwei. These pistols do not reload which makes it an effective weapon. The special thing about the Twin Angels is its capability to incorporate the five elements into its energy bullets. To do this, however, it must be fed that certain element. There is a tube that is extendable from the back of the pistol which can suck in any of the elements. The duration of each powered clip depends on the amount of element it has eaten. If not careful, Twin Angels have the capability of overheating. It also does not have the capability of sucking any type of element which is aimed to attack him as the process is relatively slow.

Kiss of Death: Taking the form of a sniper rifle, and much like the pistols, charged with plasma energy made to destroy the Virus in particular. This also means that it is not capable of hurting anything else other than the Virus. By looking through the scope, one can mark targets which then appear with a red dot on their person. Nazir sees this with the aid of his aviator goggles. This red dot remains as long as the Virus is not erased.

Personality:

Nazir is a simple man. He sees someone in need of help - and he will help. His entire being has been programmed with the Good Samaritan in mind - selfless and helpful in every way. However, this also means that he is reckless and will jump through great lengths and get himself in trouble if it means saving someone and as you can imagine, this is detrimental to him. It's like he has no sense of self-preservation unless he is absolutely alone. He is generally lighthearted and easy going who only strives to move forward and not let the past be a burden to him. However, it has been witnessed that he slips in and out of depression when alone or at night.

Background:

Nazir was created in a desert world type of server. The cities were far apart and little towns dot the landscape. Back when he was first made, he was part of the royal family if the richest city in the desert, often referred to as the kingdom of that server. Originally, he was supposed to help around with the defence of the kingdom. The first wave of Virus had attacked when he was created and they managed to push them back. However, because of his programming, he felt the need to extend his help to the smaller towns that dot the server. After some convincing from his alleged family, he managed to take a squadron and he rode off. Creating a perimeter on the closest towns were... difficult. With the limited manpower and the ever increasing amount of Viruses only make it more difficult.

However, he was too focused on the other towns that he neglected to put effort in protecting the kingdom. After receiving a message calling him back to the kingdom, he wasted no time riding to it. He was met with a ravaged town and no survivors. He was broken. After hearing about someone recruiting for the Aegis Program, he immediately signed up for it. He didn't want anyone else feeling the same loss as he did and he wanted to help people. He first got the Sniper weapon and he was mostly in the back. However, as it continued, he began to ask for a closer ranged weapon so he could help people more closely. He was given the pistols and he has continued to serve them loyally as much as he can.

Johnson had finished observing the people around him. There were really no other interesting people. Ah but of course, those were only from physical appearances. Who knows, maybe the others would have interesting histories, personalities or some other things that would lead to an interesting conversation! He shifted in his seat and then fixed his jacket. Okay, time for this to be a relaxing ride. He reached inside his bag and pulled out his book. It was a human-made fairy tail book about multiple fairy tales. He had just opened his book when he heard a voice beside him speak.

He looked to his side and saw another boy. He was asking for some food too. He looked at his bag and then to his book and then to the boy. Oh crap, he finished his food all by himself. "Oh... uh..." He then let out a nervous chuckle and rubbed the back of his head. It was obvious that the cake is now gone and inside his stomach. "I have an extra cheesecake that I nabbed from our kitchen when they weren't looking." He dug into his bag and took out another container. It held the food in question. It was of relatively smaller size than the previous cake but at least it was there. He then gestured for him to get it. "The name's Johnson..." He paused as if debating whether or not he should tell him his last name. Then again, what was the harm with that? It wasn't like his last name became the official last name of his family... in the fairy tale books at least. "Johnson Le Roux. What's yours?" He was going for a handshake but his hands were currently occupied with the book and the container in them. Well, hopefully, the guy didn't mind the lack of mannerisms... then again, when exactly was he a stickler for rules?

I think the normies are definitely in the minority here. There's only like... one, aside from the shareable characters. And that was yours. I'm pretty sure this is the case.

Was originally thinking of making a reporter but I don't think I can play those well... so yeah, that happened.

Occupation: Until recently, apprentice herbalist and botanist

Appearance: Brandon stands at a height of 5'7 and weighs rather averagely. He has a lean type of body. He usually dresses in a fashion that you would see travellers in with a cloak to keep him insulated from the cold and protected from the heat. He would often be seen with a knapsack containing multiple journals and pens. It also contains some herbs that would be beneficial in travels.

Biography: Brandon was born an orphan in some no-name town. It was out of the way so outsiders rarely came.. well, besides his parents at least. They had told him that he was given to the orphanage and the parents just disappeared, assumed to have moved on. Because Brandon didn't know them, he didn't really care about it. There were only three people in that orphanage so basically? Only three kids were abandoned with the other two dealing with the same thing he was - one was three years older than him and the other was five years older. No one had waned to keep them because there was a superstition going around that adopting a stranger's child will lead to bad luck. The owner of the orphanage was a nice young lady who thought that she already had the worst luck out of everyone there, so why not take care of these three poor children? The first eight years of his life was spent in that village. Their 'mother' had trouble raising all three of them. The oldest of the three decided to help out to earn money while the other two still learned.

Brandon showed great interest in plants, and not just crops, herbs especially. But the village only offered him very limited knowledge about said plants. He shared this with his 'mother' and she resolved to find someone who knew more about herbs. Fate had answered his plea by having a travelling botanist pass through the village. He stayed there for a while and he got to know Brandon. His name was Euan. He grew fond of Brandon and decided to adopt him. After a deal was reached between his 'mother' and Euan, they were off. He became Euan's assistant and learned many things. They rarely settled down for more than two months in a town. Around five years ago, they stumbled upon a small farm which only had one inhabitant. The farmer welcomed them with open arms but rarely spoke to them in a caring fashion. He told them that he was running out of time and he needed to pass his ring off to someone. Euan decided to humor the man and told him that he will care for it.

That was when Brandon was sent out to check on the plants while the two adults talked. He was absolutely clueless on what was happening inside the house. Once he finished, he entered the house and Euan told him that they were going to base here. Brandon didn't really care about it. He was happy with the farm. It was filled with herbs of different kinds! He was going to have fun here. He noticed that Euan had the ring the farmer was wearing before. Euan told him that the farmer had died and that they should bury him. They did and then lived in the farm for the rest of the years. Euan displayed the powers of the ring bit by bit but Brandon wasn't very interested in it. The two still go out to search and study the flora that dot the land around. They were different, that was for sure, and invaluable. They sometimes go to the cities to sell what they had. They even got enough money to buy a black dog which still lives with him up to now. His name is Shawn.

Five days prior to the this day, Euan had died from a certain disease that he had kept from Brandon all these years. Now it was Brandon's turn to wear the ring. Euan made him promise to never give it to anyone else unless he, himself, was dying. He also explained the range of abilities that it will develop according to what he has experienced. Brandon understood and Euan entrusted it to him. He died two days later. Brandon buried Euan and is still thinking of whether or not he should leave he farm. He didn't know if there were other rings like his. Well, he knew that he should at least keep recording and selling herbs and other plants.

More and more people arrived, none of which are even remotely late. So the first one was Alice. Upon seeing her choice of clothing, which was actually just simply her pajamas, she blinked once. Was Alice still half-asleep? "U-Um... Alice, do you want a cup of coffee?" That'll definitely wake her up. After all, she usually had her cup of coffee before anything else. Oh and breakfast of course! Um, now that she thought about it, she hasn't eaten her fill yet. Surely, there would be something in the kitchen they could eat. Maybe she could whip something up for her.

The next one to come was Christoffer, or Chris... she preferred the latter because it was easier to say. Even with her advanced language skills that was acquired from being an angel, she still didn't feel up to par when it came to foreign names. She was so used to having Japanese people around her that the sudden increase of foreigners around her shocked her. She was only relieved of this sudden influx by the appearance of Suisei and Teshiko, but more of the former as Teshiko wasn't exactly Japanese to start with. Anyhow, Chris had gone off about the security of his office, mentioning something about a person at their entrance. Well, that was odd. She had not seen this person when she entered. "I-I don't think there's a... problem with our security. Magic is something w-we can't fully see after all. I'm sure the defenses here are m-more powerful than you think." It was her two cents on the matter.

To back that up, Alexander had appeared and positioned himself beside Alice. He made a remark about not underestimating the defenses set up. Akemi seemed to shrink upon his appearance. There were only so much people she found comfortable to be around here, and not be threatened with the amount of power they posses. Alexander was definitely not one of them. However, she does appreciate his general lightheartedness. She bowed to him as her greeting. Seeing as people were beginning to come in, she figured that she should start making those coffee. There were ten of them. Hopefully, by the time they all arrive, she would be done with the coffee. Before she was able to move from her spot to go to the kitchenette, Schwertleite had arrived. Now there was a name she could never hope to say properly. "I-It was fine. Good morning to you too." Before anyone else could enter, she turned around and headed on to the kitchenette.

She began preparing the coffee and then leaned on the table as she waited. She let out a sigh. It had been two years and she still can't relieve herself of that stutter. They were all friendly, there was no doubt about that, but there was something inside her that told her to keep her guard up. Was it because she already knew of their abilities and she feared that part of them? Or was it something else entirely? She really didn't know. At least she still speaks rather normally, instead of being jumbled up when faced with five or more strangers. Once the coffee was done, she poured one for each of them and placed them on two trays. She smiled inwardly to herself. Well, time to put that waitress training of hers to good use. She picked the two trays up and then proceeded to go back to the Main Hall.

When she got back, the others had arrived. There was Surial, Teshiko, Suisei and Johannes. It was a good thing she decided to get one for each one of them. They did like coffee right? Or did someone prefer tea over coffee? Oh no, she forgot if anyone had preferences. She then looked at Suisei who was giving out breakfast for all of them. "Good morning. Coffee anyone?" She asked, gesturing for them to take it. Johannes began speaking more about the training and he was obviously excited. She wished that this peace would go on for a little bit more. Anything to delay the inevitable. Once everyone took their cup of coffee, she would get the Oyakodon. She blinked. She could see that there was hot pepper sprinkled onto this one. She looked up at Suisei and smiled, appreciating the care he took for the order. "Thank you very much, Suisei-san."
