I just can't. This is too much. Berserk was so influential on so many things that I love. Goodbye, Miura. You'll be missed by many.

Bio
Hello! Welcome to my little bio.
Not much to say, really. Just a horror game protag that likes writing and playing vidya games when I'm not being chased by the cosmic forces of darkness. (I'm a security guard that works night shifts usually).
Summary: La-Zha or the 'Seer of Cyl' as its followers call it, is a being of unknown origins, appearing to be somewhat aquatic in nature. La-Zha itself (herself?) alone is dangerous enough, at least warranting a ranking of three stars. However, we lack a full understanding of it's complete abilities. We have never been able to observe it up close and determine the full scope of its threat. However - we can assume it has some sway over the human mind, or at least is more charismatic than its appearance suggests. In the time that it has been on the CIA's radar, it has become apparent that it has gathered a respectable following of people for some unknown purpose. In summary - the 'Seer' has been given a five-star rating simply because of the numerous unknowns surrounding it and it's capabilities. Treat with extreme caution and under no circumstance should you be alone with it due to assumed violent and sadistic tendencies.
Physical Profile:
"Physical? Ah-ah. First, open your mind. Make it malleable and pliable. Open it to things that would shatter your sense of reality."
Name: 'La-Zha' Gender: Appears to have a feminine body type, but presumed not to adhere to traditional human genders. Age: Indeterminate. Appears as a small humanoid. Possibly passes itself off as a young girl. Date of Birth: Indeterminate. Blood Type: Indeterminate. Eye Color: N/A Height/Weight: 5'2 feet (1.6 Meters) 110lbs (50kg) Occupation: Cult Leader and 'Seer'? Physical Description: La-Zha is quite unassuming, compared to some of the other creatures that exist out there - which only makes it all the more dangerous when dealing with them, thanks to all the unknowns that factor into play. There is also a chance that this limited human form of its, is only something that is limiting to it upon our plane of existence. It is quite likely that this is nothing more than a vessel, a shell, for something much more frightening and terrible. Even now though, its appearance is something that would likely give most normal people quite a scare.
Its current form takes a fairly small, frail looking, feminine one. It has long, silvery-blond hair that falls to its waist and is generally unkempt and messy. Oddly, it almost feels like a film of some sort, with a somewhat sticky and slimy texture. Its body is a pale, unnatural blue color and is cold and clammy to the touch, seemingly always damp with some sort of cool liquid. It seems to have some sort of 'gills' on its stomach, which seems to be used for breathing underwater. Its face however, is far from comforting to look at. Where it's eyes should be, are instead a stitching of what seems to be extremely durable wire, preventing the eyes from opening. Around its head, it seems to wear a slightly worn red ribbon, typically obscuring it. It has incredibly sharp, pointed teeth reminiscent of perhaps a piranha or shark, able to cut flesh easily with retractable black claws to match.
Does not seem fond of clothing, typically only wears an ill-fitting jacket and an iron collar around its neck. It's voice is oddly soothing to those who listen, and perhaps has somewhat of a low-level psychological calming effect. Its hair has two eye-shaped pendants on them. Look closely, and you might think they move.
Psychological Profile:
"Heh...to most humans, I would appear savage. Such beautiful eyes, yet so blind. Pitiful, really. Most of you are only good for appetizers. Ah, can you blame this one though? A fish out of its pond. Caught on dry land in the net of an old fisherman."
Personality: Truthfully, it's personality is difficult to entirely pin down. Upon first impression, the Seer is a fairly friendly and amicable person. It enjoys dialogue with humans, often going out of its way for even a brief conversation with one. To us humans, it appears fickle, and somewhat whimsical. It seems to always take pleasure in doing new things, or never doing the same thing the same why twice, at least. To those in its cult, it will treat with respect, friendliness, and compassion - for the most part. It treats most humans aside from those in the cult as lesser beings, though not arrogantly. If anything, it seems to pity or feel sorry for them.
What La-Zha wants out of this cult, out of its time here on earth, is unknown to all but itself. Despite the fact It has an entire cult basically dedicated to it and this 'Cyl-Nysiq' it does not directly interact with them much. It seems to enjoy letting them fumble around and figure out things on their own, with only loosely overseeing them when it suits it. It however, does seem to like teaching humans with the capacity for it, 'magic', or at least a form of it.
Note: While we can not confirm these reports, we can deduce that the 'Seer' is a savage creature, at least by human standards. Cruel, sadistic, and it seems to find particular enjoyment in stalking and hunting humans. For what reason, it isn't known, if any other than entertainment.
At times, it seems to treat the world much like a child who doesn't understand the difference between 'right and wrong'. Or perhaps it thinks itself above such trivialities?
Background: It is unknown when La-Zha first came to be. Or at least, when it first appeared on earth. It is assumed to be much, much, older than its slight, frail appearance suggests, but how long it has been operating in Innsmouth is something of a mystery. The CIA first became aware of its presence some odd years ago after a sighting of a 'fish monster' on the beaches of the city. Since then, it has become somewhat of a local legend though sorely twisted by rumor and far from reality. It is easily assumed that La-Zha isn't from earth. Or at least, if it is, then its from a place far removed from normal humans, likely dwelling somewhere beneath the oceans or in some other watery place.
When it first appeared on the beaches, it was dazed, confused - almost as if it had somehow ended up here by accident. This is when the first reports of a 'Fish Man' came in. For the first few years, 'La-Zha' was akin to a child lost in a forest of candy. It found humans absolutely fascinating in a number of different and not exactly morally correct ways, and as such, entertained itself by hunting or otherwise messing with them. Stalking, sneaking into peoples homes, etc.
Usually, it lived in abandoned places near the waterfront, the outskirts of town, or in the sewers. It deigns not to stay in one place for long, often never staying in one place of living for more than a week. less, if its found a human to entertain itself with. It wasn't until a year after it first arrived did it found a human with the potential for something greater, did it decide to communicate in their primitive way. This human teenager by the name of Camilla Prescott would eventually help it gather a small group of other, similarly talented humans and eventually lay the foundations for the 'Cylnath Scholars'.
The cult itself has been around for six years - since 2012, and for the most part has remained ambiguous in its activities and if investigated they say they are merely a group of people looking for 'Something Greater'. The cult itself is relatively small, with only a handful of around 20-30 people.
Possessions: N/A - it carries nothing on it, for its mind stores everything valuable.
Special Traits: Inhuman Physiology: La-Zha isn't quite human, if it wasn't painfully obvious. Despite its frail looking appearance, one would do well not to underestimate its physical ability. While perhaps not the strongest when compared to a human who spends a lot of their time taking care of their muscles, La-Zha would give most average humans a good run for their money. Its true abilities however, lie in its acrobatics, agility, and reaction time. La-Zha has a reaction time that makes even the best humans pale in comparison. With muscles built for agility and speed, it gives it a frightening edge of any human. We haven't seen it in combat so it is difficult to tell what the best method for fighting it would be.
Additionally, it is able to move in water as if it were a second home as well as breathe and stay under for extended periods of time.
Seer's Sight Oh certainly, to you humans it might appear blind and maimed - but it sees so much more. Its vision is so much better than you humans could ever hope to see. It sees into realms and dimensions beyond this one's own. Usually, it 'Sees' things by smell, sound, and echolocation. It has the uncanny ability to nearly be able to see better than most humans can with it. It can track a scent nearly a mile away, and its hearing is adept enough to hear the faintest whisper from feet away.
However - it could theoretically be thrown temporarily off-guard by having to pick through lots of scents, or an extremely loud noise. It isn't likely to work more than once in quick succession however, as it would simply start using another sense to compensate.
Durability: Oddly, it seems to be able to take quite a beating and still remain standing. While nothing on super-human levels, compared to humans its body is capable of enduring injuries fatal to them. While bullets and such still work just as effectively, as would brute-force should the assailant be a match for her physically, many would be surprised simply by how much punishment this frail looking thing is able to take.
Eldritch Rites: It knows things. Things humans should never be allowed to learn of. To speak of, let alone see. It can teach these things to humans, should they have the proper capacity and insight for it. However, it can not cast these things itself. It is merely a teacher - a font of forbidden knowledge to those who would listen.
Tooth and Claw: It's teeth and claws can cut through flesh as easily as air. Typically, while it avoids fighting these are its primary weapons. The claws themselves are retractable, and about two inches in length. Capable of nicking stone, but not cleanly.
Siren Song: Despite its maimed appearance, its voice conversely seems a sweet as honey. While not overpowering, most humans find themselves agreeing with it and doing as it says more often than not. It is one of the ways it often gets itself out of trouble with humans.

Summary: The 'Witch of Cylnath'. The first taught by the creature known as 'La-Zha'. She is the one who suggested the idea of bringing together like-minded humans with the capcity in order for her and La-Zha to teach. The respected leader of the Cylnath Scholars. She holds considerable power among them, and could easily sway them into doing whatever she desired. Perhaps not powerful on her own compared to some others, but with resources and the backing of the cult, one should be careful when dealing with her.
Gender: Female Age: 26 Date of Birth: 11/07/1992 Blood Type: O- Eye Color: Amber Height/Weight: 5'7" (1.7 Meters) 136lbs (62kgs) Occupation: Lawyer, Witch/Cultist. Physical Description: Standing at 5'7", Camilla stands taller than what most would expect of an average woman. She has a medium frame with long black hair, typically done up in a bun or other ponytail to stop it from getting in the way. She can often be seen wearing glasses and seems to possess a fair amount of beauty.
Personality: Intelligent and Erudite, Camilla is a woman who values the mind over the physical. Yet, at the same time she possesses a curiosity and an eagerness to explore and learn more with views not entirely grounded in reality. Perhaps that is the reason that La-Zha was drawn to this particular individual. Camilla is a stubborn, if serious individual though she is fairly friendly and won't turn down idle chatter. Many people seem to think she possesses unnatural charisma about her. While she isn't power-hungry, she will stop at nothing to learn.
Background: Innsmouth born and raised, Camilla is from a wealthy business family. She inherited quite the fortune from a young age. At the age of seventeen, around the time she met La-Zha her parents mysteriously died and it is assumed she murdered them at the beings orders in an effort to attain understanding something humans shouldn't. She went on to graduate high school not long after, and upon doing so started looking for recruits to her little group, guided occasionally by La-Zha. She went on to attain a bachelors degree in law, and then to complete law school.
She handles most of the organizations legal affairs, and should one member find themselves on the wrong side of the law is more than happy to provide services free of charge.
Possessions:
Grimoire A book gifted by La-Zha. it is of unknown origins, and written in numerous inhuman languages, but supposedly holds the secrets of the universe. She studies it daily, and always attempts to unravel it.
Ritual items Items involved in ritualistic practices. Herbs, spices, animal guts, blood...it is a wide array of items. She keeps some less questionable ones on hand.
Special Traits: Eldritch Witchcraft: The first taught by the being known as La-Zha. Camilla has a great affinity for things of the otherworldly nature. Rituals, rites, summonings, esoteric practices. She can cast charms, enchantments, and call forth powers from the beyond. By far, her most directly dangerous set of abilities. Mostly, it can't be used directly and requires a bit of preparation.
Witch's Glamour: A simple enchantment that enhances the physical overtime. It effectively grants her a flawless appearance, as well as makes her words seem to carry more weight.
Expanded Mind: Her mind goes beyond that of most humans. Able to process things at a faster rate, solve problems, and simply all-around be 'better' than most.
Esoteric Medicine: A subset of Witchcraft dealing with healing. She is able to take mundane things and turn them into brews of various effectiveness. Used for healing, stamina enhancements, or perhaps something else entirely. They sell these in the black market in order to make a little extra money on the side.
A group of people founded by La-Zha and Camilla Prescott. A relatively new organization, but one that is concerning all the same with its unknown motivations and goals. Membership is usually only for those with an 'mind for greatness' or at least those that could potentially wield and understand Eldritch truths and Rites. While their group is relatively small to the more well-known groups in existence they have managed to snag some high-powered people in their order.
For the most part, they stick to the shadows and conduct their rituals and things under the cover of night or away from the prying eyes of others. No one is quite sure where their 'base' is, but it could be assumed they have no major place of operation and meetings are held at wherever is currently convenient. Perhaps not the most efficient way, but it makes tracking them and members difficult.
The cult has its hand in black-market organ trafficking, drug trafficking, human sacrifice, and worship of some creature known as Cyl-nysiq. Individual, they are not too powerful as most active members have only been active for a few years, nowhere near the required time to master eldritch magics without the direct intervention of one such being themselves. Even so, most are smart and able to even wield small magics.
Membership is attained two ways. They approach you, or you discover them and have the talent. After multiple background checks vetted by various independent private investigators and other such people, they will the interview and determine whether or not you have the talent.
A complete unknown, so we must assume the worst. The Deity these Scholars worship, and that La-Zha proclaims is a being that will bring salvation to those that give itself to it, and ruin to those who don't. It describes it as a 'Gentle, loving ocean accepting of all' and a 'Furious, raging storm that will sweep away all'
Need to discover more, but it is likely the Scholars themselves are even as ignorant as we.
Present and accounted for. I'll get trying to get a CS up this evening.
question.
I think I am gonna make a smallish cult - I am assuming I'd be able to control Nameless NPC members of said cult, more or less? Maybe a second in command, too. Unless of course, someone would want to RP that character themselves, which I wouldn't mind at all.
Curious, Sheepy was a summoner of sorts. And...had quite a few odd summons it seemed. She'd have to investigate later. For now though? There was Melody. Viola wasn't too impressed with Melody's abilities. In fact, she agreed with Alex's question about whether it was healthy. The answer? No, no it really wasn't. Now, if she was a nicer person Viola would have simply made a passing comment the same way Alex had. Unfortunately for Melody, Viola was far from a nice person who went about things delicately. She knew she didn't like this girl simply from her bubbly attitude...now though? She could say with certainty, she absolutely did not like this girl - and she was about to make that abundantly clear.
"Wow...what abhorrent abilities! Such a perversion of human nature. It's actually rather funny!" She giggled. "And you seem so calm with them! I have to question your motives and own sanity. Nothing more than an escape from reality with drugs. That's what you are." Her mouth turned upwards into a smug smirk, clearly not having any remorse for what she had to say. "Healthy not to live with negativity? I don't know about you, but Luna seems perfectly happy to me. If anything, I'd say she's quite well adjusted. It's far less healthy to be as unabashedly positive as you seem to be. Human beings are negative creatures by nature. If they don't learn to cope and just run from their problems...the more spectacular and entertaining their fall will be when it becomes too much to handle. She paused for a moment, picking up a Cinnamon roll and still giving Melody the most innocent and friendly smile she could make. "Mhm...I'd have to say you're my least favorite type of person."
"Hi~ Do you mind if I sit here?"
Of course, before she could say more on the matter it seemed there was another person who wanted to join their little soiree. Viola turned her head to the new voice, and was immediately taken with the new girls appearance. Seemed like they had a very similar fashion sense, at least! That was enough to get Viola's attention.
"You guys had an empty seat so I thought nobody else was going to be here."
"Ah? Of course, of course, I always have room for someone with such excellent taste in fashion." She giggled, turning to the new girl. "Viola Rifei. A pleasure, I'm sure. Do take a seat. Want a Cinnamon roll?" Curious - it was rare she met people with similar taste in clothing as she had.
"Bwuh?! Magnus?!" Arletta was taken completely by surprised by the bear hug from the Minotaur. It was a good thing she wasn't human and could take a violet hug. Even so, she couldn't help but to feel a bit more at ease by the Minotaur's affection. The dullahan laughed softly as she was released and put down. After running her hand along the silver collar she wore on her neck and adjusting her head slightly, she responded.
"I truly am sorry for disappearing like that so suddenly." She replied with a sigh. "Just...I received a letter from a friend of mine. She's a...mage of sorts, so I'm not surprised she found me so easily. To put bluntly I had to help her with a personal matter and it wasn't something I could just leave. I...admittedly made a rather hasty exit." She gave Magnus a smile. "It's taken care of now though, so no need to worry. I can't say for Liliana and Gor...but just from briefly knowing Liliana she wasn't exactly the most sociable sort. I'm not surprised she wouldn't just up and leave without a word...and perhaps Gor just found herself a new master?" Speculation wasn't going to get them anywhere though, and Bart seemed to have a thing for her to do.
"Ah! Thank you Bart." She said, taking the request board, quickly taking a look over the quests. Well, Magnus seemed to have the Dwarves covered. He seemed like he could handle that well enough himself. Besides, she wanted to keep moving, if just to keep her mind off things. So that left the Dress Maker and the Guard Duty. Considering the fact she never had an eye for fashion even when alive - preferring armor and other things - she doubted she'd be of any help there. Guard Duty though? That was something she was extremely familiar with. She did that a lot, before becoming a Dullahan.
"Hm...I think you've got things covered here well enough, Magnus?" She gave a friendly grin to the Minotaur. "Guard duty is something I'm fairly familiar with, so I think I'll be taking that one."
As soon as Silias approached the book, the sprite - whatever it was - flit down the hallway for whatever reason. Was it an illusion? Or actually a creature of some sort. It was difficult to tell for one unlearned in such things. If it was an actual creature, perhaps it was simply shy? Whatever the reason, it was quickly out of Silia's grasp and disappeared down the hallway as swift as the wind itself. The book however, was still on the ground as mundane looking as it had been before and there was still a tangible chill in the air.
The reaction was almost instant as Silias knelt next to the book.
Without warning, a hand and an arm shot from the book, and grabbed Silias' neck before yanking him off balance towards the rgound. Hopefully the surprise and the force with which he was pulled would be enough to send him sprawling towards the ground. Regardless, the ghostly hand disappeared almost entirely afterwards, back into either the book or the ground - it was difficult to tell.
Silias wasn't honestly sure what he had expected to come of that, but it was safe to say nearly having his neck wrung by a spectral hand wasn't high on his list of "Things I Predicted To Happen This Morning." Unfortunately for whomever decided such a response was warranted, they only stoked his curiosity further.
And he had plenty of time before his class began.
The first thing he did was send out four of his bone spiders in the direction he saw the light retreating. While he figured he could try and chase after it on foot, it would be wiser to try and figure out which way it was going first. He rolled his neck, testing the joints and muscles for any sign of injuries. The fact that he could feel his extremities was a fantastic sign, but one can never be too sure when it comes to a neck injury.
He made a note to find a healer later. For now, he had to focus on following that light.
Before he could do anything else, Silias would feel something wet hit the top of his head. Before he had a chance to look up, a torrent of water fell from the ceiling, soaking the young mage's clothes...and the book he had been reading. It looked like he had been caught outside in a very bad storm without any sort of protection. The otters at the library weren't going to be too happy about that, now were they?
"Ah?~" There was a voice from behind him, who giggled in a fairly familiar fashion. If he so happened to turn around, he'd be greeted by a rather odd sight. A girl that couldn't have been standing barely older than seventeen years old, if her outer appearance was anything to go by. She was dressed in a fairly elaborate fashion, a frilled dress with purples, whites, and black, with long blond hair tied on either side of her head...and most notably was a tiny wisp of something floating just behind her, its head peeking over her shoulder as if trying to hide itself.
"Well, did you forget to take your clothes off in the bath or did an experiment go wrong?" She giggled, an impish, smug seeming smirk forming on her lips.
Silias considered the situation...and smiled. "Well... it's more like I had a light breakfast this morning." Taking a beat to regard the book, Silias picked it up by the spine and shook it gently from side to side. As he shook out the water from the unfortunate tome, he turned to the source of the voice. "I suppose I needed to whet my appetite further." He glanced at the wisp from behind his darkened lenses, recalling his bone spiders as he regarded the girl more closely. "So, enlighten me - what do I owe the pleasure? I rarely meet someone who laces up before lacing into people."
"Aha? Is dressing up this much that odd?" She asked. "I am Viola Rifei…and you are a new student here, yes?" She tilted her head slightly towards the small wisp of light currently hiding behind her shoulder. "Ah? Sheyan, no need to be scared of this little student. If he hurts you I'll just send Neiginshi to give him a hug." Whatever she meant by that she didn't entirely elaborate, though he could always ask if he was curious, of course.
"Afraid of..." Silias mentally went over past several minutes. "Oh, right, sending the bone spiders to follow him probably looked terrifying. Sorry about that. Truth be told, I was mostly curious about 'Sheyan' there, especially after being introduced to... 'Neiginshi,' was it?" He gestured to himself with a hand. "My name is Silias Aeson, and I am a new student of the Arcanium. Although... 'little?' I'm at least a head taller than you, and," here he gestured vaguely towards Viola, "unless you're hiding the ears of a High Elf under your frilly accessories, I'd say that I'm older than you."
"Oh?" She smirked. "The fact you think I'm a little girl proves just how inexperienced you are, little spider." She giggled. "Anyways, don't mind this little Sylph here. He's a timid sort usually doesn't let others see him unless he's helping me with something." A sylph? That little sprite was a Sylph? That might have explained how it managed to stay mostly invisible as well as move the book and move swiftly. It made sense, at least.
"And you haven't met Neiginshi yet. He's at home, probably sleeping in my fireplace. The Salamander's a bit on the lazy side. The water is from my dear friend Celine…a rather heh, salty, undine that lives near the coast here. She's probably going to yell at me for using her water in such an inappropriate way." Viola giggled again.
"Anyways…might want to dry off before heading to class, no? And remember little student...not everything is always as it seems, especially when dealing with magic. I have my own class to attend to…shame I can't play with you more at the moment. You're a level-headed sort…I was honestly expecting fear from all of this. I wonder what it would take to get you to scream, hm?" She mused to herself as an invisible tattoo seemed to light up on Viola's skin, shimmering with magic only briefly before there was a sudden gust of wind.
If Silias bothered to turn around, Viola would be standing some distance down the hallway on the other side of him. Had…she somehow teleported? Moved through him? There was a sudden chill in the air that accompanied it. Sheyan, the apparent Sylph seemed to wave bye to Silias before disappearing from view. Viola herself, took a sudden right and…moved right through a wall, disappearing herself?
Silias spent a moment contemplating Viola's point of exit. "Yet another mystery to document," he mused, not unpleased. "Though I already have my suspicions, it seems I will have to do some more research." Silias looked to the still somewhat damp book in his hand. "While her treatment of that book was... less than ideal, I may have a kindred spirit haunting these hallowed halls." He looked back towards where she had vanished and smiled. "What knowledge might you have to add to the Catacombs?"
He was about to go to class, but decided to heed Viola's advice and make a quick stop for drier clothes before making his way back to the Rune Weaver's room.
Well, the room was nothing if not welcoming. It was a change of pace she had not been expecting - and it reminded her far too much of the High Cities. Isil was absolutely shocked by the lack of actual teaching space, though. How did...how did they teach, then? By Example? But why were their so many plants, aprons, and work gloves? She...she wasn't going to have to be planting those was she? Well, that in and of itself wasn't so bad. She in fact, liked raising plants - if anything, she preferred plants and animals to most people, but...how was planting things supposed to help her studies?
Of course, she then eyed the scones on the table and had to resist immediately walking over to them and gulping them down.
"Aha," Isil cleared her throat, grinning at the plump woman. "It is a pleasure to meet you as well, Mistress Liyva." She glanced around the room, glad to have been released by the woman. "I hope I can live up to your expectations." She moved into the room, taking a deep breath of the flowers. She wondered if there was a garden around here somewhere she could use to...meditate or relax in?
