Bio

Hello! Welcome to my little bio.

Not much to say, really. Just a horror game protag that likes writing and playing vidya games when I'm not being chased by the cosmic forces of darkness. (I'm a security guard that works night shifts usually).

Have some dancing medjed.

Ugh, all this talk of agendas and ulterior motives were getting boring. Of course people had them. Everyone did. Cyl couldn't claim to entirely be innocent of that fact either, but he liked to think of themselves as the least scheming of all of her siblings. As far as secret plans and whatnot went. He was at least honest in the fact he could only be trusted so long as something was entertaining. Which was why he wasn't listening to the conversation any more.

Something was coming. He didn't know what, but as his siblings conversed they moved aside only slightly, putting some distance between them. No sense in being sitting ducks grouped together, no. He could feel the magic being called upon. Oh, how lovely. Someone was going to be using his gift against them...well, if they wanted to find her, she'd oblige.

"Oh...I wonder...Huseror? Ah, it doesn't matter." A grin spread across Cyl's features as Golkai summoned his troops. He might not have had physical combat prowess and couldn't summon things from nowhere without a little preparation, but what did that matter when you could just wave your hand and send a searing inferno towards a person?

"So...what shall we do then, my siblings? Are we to fight it seems? I could certainly use the target practice...maybe test a few new spells I've been considering all these years." He wasn't too fond of fighting in and of itself, but it was always a good opportunity to test things...such as the pain someone can tolerate before they pass out, heh.

The first battle against Jessica went about as well as she expected. Ralia took care of Pidgey with almost no trouble at all, not even the gust managing to land a solid hit. Lure took care of Shroomish excellently, though the little bug gave her some trouble in the short run. Del had a bit of trouble with Cottonee, but the fairy type could do little against against the poison type in the long run.

The next battle against Eric went a little less smoothly.

Pidove managed to pull off a few good hits with gust, the Double Team not doing much to dissuade the attack from being effective. The clones, sensing their mild uselessness took to instead comically letting themselves be blow around by the gusts until the battle was over. The battle against Shinx went a lot less smoothly. Ritz got off the confusion, but unfortunately it didn't seem to faze Shinx much. The bug type did his best, but ultimately had to be pulled. Del finished them off easily afterwards. Ralia managed to finish off Venipde with relative ease, the double team meaning Rollout could easily be dodged and dealt with.

In the end though, she won and finally made her way to Rainrock city.

"Oh wow!" Rainrock was absolutely gorgeous. Despite the rain and by now being thoroughly soaked, the place was amazing. There was always a certain charm to rainy days and places like this. The gentle sound of rain hitting the rocks was definitely a sound she found pleasing. "Hmm...oh, Hey Ritz." The Ledyba was currently tucked away in her arms, stealing Ralia's usual spot, though she didn't seem to mind since she found a good riding spot on her shoulder. "Hey, we'll get you to a pokemon center and get you all patched up, alright?" Claire said patting the bug type on his head. "...and get an Umbrella too." She chuckled as Anise began to inform her of where Mt. Strength was.

Whew, it was a bit of a walk away wasn't it? She'd want to go there first before trying another gym battle, but it'd be silly to not take in the sites of the city first.

"Hmm...well, lets see. How about we first stop by the pokemon center and get our pokemon patched up. Wanna by an umbrella and stop by the mart, too. I've bee neglecting my potions and stuff."

Unless stopped, head to the pokemon center and then to the pokemart and buy an Umbrella and look at some potions and stuff.
"Follow you? I think I know my way around this place better than you do." Livia chided. "So I'll lead you to the spirits...just make sure you take care of them before they get more unruly." The youngest Fiore began walking, leading them in the direction of the wayward souls. It didn't take the trio long to cross the graveyard, for as ancient as it was it wasn't the largest of places, though even if it was it was fairly easy to navigate the old stones.

"There they are..." Livia commented, observing the wraiths from a distance. The black, wispy things seemed to not have noticed them yet. They were simply lightly hovering above the ground, almost blending in with the mist of the graveyard. One though, was positioned atop a stone mausoleum, overlooking the area. "It seems our intrusion has been noticed."

"Urf...that's a lot of them." At least a dozen or so.

"...Be careful Himeko," Livia commented. "That one seems to be watching. It'd probably alert the rest of them to our presence." It'd probably be a good idea to take them out as well as they could without being seen to begin with.
Avaline, Sorcha, & Cocoa

"Bah! Fine. Maoin, come. I am leaving bath or no. I refuse to be in this impertinent humans presence!" For multiple reasons, though the main one was because she was quite certain she might do something she'd regret if she stayed in the thief's presence. She quite literally stormed out of the room, rudely shoving past Otille and Cocoa as she used one of her wings to clip the human on the back of her head. She really should be behaving better than this, but...when it came to a dragon and their treasure, well, that was something you didn't mess with without permission.

"Eh? Romance?" Avaline looked at Sol in response. "You think?"

Cocoa pouted a bit, somewhat jealous at the attention Luna was receiving from Otille, though she enjoyed having her head rubbed. Once the dragon had left, there wasn't much else to really be afraid of. She dropped the rest of the treasure, grinning brightly at Luna.

"Hehe, wow she was upset. But she really shouldn't leave things sitting around like that if she doesn't want people to take 'em! She's just jealous Otille was smarter than she was!"

Cynthia

"Hmm..." Cynthia seemed to ponder the question for a moment. What would be good dining tonight? Perhaps something foreign would be good? She cast a studious gaze over to Mugi, weighing the options, among other things. Like how good she looked in that uniform out of her usual kimono. Mugi didn't seem to be the type to be good at cooking in general.

Well, she might as well rectify that, shouldn't she? She'd start with something simple then.

"Pot and water. Boil it on the stove." Cynthia ordered.

Livia

"Hm, right, right." Livia began. "You have the general idea then, I won't waste your time on the needless details at the moment then. You know to be a little...careful with her. I don't want you to baby her of course, but she does require a bit of mindfulness." She sighed, leaning back in her chair. "As for what this exactly entails...well, you are to attend to whatever she wants, as you might expect. Pamper, do her hair, makeup, nails, bathe her...whatever she wants. Of course, so long as she excels at what she is doing and it does not conflict with my own orders." Livia shuffled a few papers on her desk, taking a quick look at a few before continuing. "I plan for her to start lessons in Pyromancy soon so what she receives will depend on how well she does at those. As well...at the end of every day I'd at least like you to report on how she's doing. Nothing major, just your own thoughts on how she's doing."

Celine

"Hmph...you are overconfident, aren't you?" Celine replied with a scoff. "Perhaps I should find one of those demon lords that frequent this place. I'm quite certain at least one of them would love to take you up on that offer." The undine continued with a far too eager sounding voice. "But no, I suppose that is it for today unless you would like me to find one of those demons for you."
Avaline, Sorcha, & Cocoa

"So...a thief, but not a Liar, then." Sorcha replied. Sorcha took a step towards Otille, tossing the bag of treasure to the ground. "Perhaps you should have thought about it belonging to someone a bit longer. Treasure hordes such as that are always a bad omen, don't you know? Some are even cursed." She ground her teeth, tail thumping the ground irritably. "Some are own by dragons." She looked over to Luna when the human reached out and patted her head.

"Funny, Luna? FUNNY!?" She snarled. "This peasant should be lucky I don't turn her into my plaything for stealing from me! Do you know how old some of this stuff is? How...personal...some of it is!? And they Sold some of it! Ahh, it'll take the rest of my life to track it down if it was something important.." It seemed as though she wasn't angry, more just comically irritated at this point. "Grrrahhh!" She growled turning to look at Luna and angrily pouting. "Luna! I'm going to make sure they're not stealing any more! Take this peasant and toss her out the window or something!"

Avaline was watching from a distance, having no idea what was going on but it was funny, tail wagging slowly at the display.

Cocoa was looking on in mild confusion, having set her own bags down herself. The dragon was upset or something? She thought about jumping in front of Otille if something happened, but the dragon didn't seem like she was about to do something, but she did move closer to Otille just in case.

Livia & Cynthia

Cynthia, keeping a somewhat professional air as Mugi moved close stood still, keeping her arms folded together in front of her. Oh good, she wouldn't have to keep watching over that little brat then. It was difficult enough juggling Livia's...affairs and keeping the rest of the maids straight. At least Mugi had made that far easier. When Karia introduce herself, only to be subsequently picked out by Fia, she wasn't surprised in the least.

"Very well then." Livia replied. Karia, a fair choice. The youngest maid here at the moment. "The rest of you, dismissed. Karia, Fia, if you would follow me to my study I have a few things we should discuss. Cynthia, be a dear and get dinner started would you?"

Cynthia gave a bow as Livia, Karia, and Fia headed upstairs to the study before moving towards the Kitchen, taking a quick look over her shoulder to make sure Mugi was following. She wasn't sure about her sweet's cooking abilities for now, but that was something she was going to rectify.

Once the group had got to the study, Livia moved to her normal seat behind her desk. Oof, she was spending far too much time behind this thing these days. The headmistress leaned back in her chair...good thing the chair was really comfortable, hah.

"So, Karia...what exactly do you know about little Fia here?" She asked.

Chione

OOf, it had been awhile since she had actually been touched by another human being. Centuries of being locked in a tomb made one long for a little affection every now and then, but alas, such a thing was something she should avoid. Undergarments though? Were those a thing here?

"Ah...right, haha..." She chuckled somewhat nervously at the mention of undergarments as she redressed herself. "You have my thanks again, Katherine." After pulling on the white robe again, Chione turned to face the other woman. "I am rather fond of the color red and gold...thought the latter is from when I had a thing for, ahem, money, haha..." She chuckled nervously, holding the side of her face with a hand.

Gold was such a nice color, wasn't it?

"Anyways, ahem, yes, I suppose I shall take my leave for now. I'll see about finding work somewhere."

Celine & Marie

"...I don't need your pity!" Marie shouted angrily. "The next time, I'll have your head on my spear!" Before Anyone could say anything, the demon dashed off in the other direction. Damn it...damn it all! Why why was she always so weak! She should have been able to handle that human even without her Arsenal! Either way, by now her fanclub was dispersing and there were a few mutterings about what just happened spreading over the crowd.

"hmm...perhaps she was far to weak to elicit a response." Celine mused as Kozue returned. "I was hoping that it would respond to your life potentially being in danger, but perhaps that wasn't enough."

Hm, not here? Then where had Death scurried off too? It was an amusing thought, hunting down death when death was normally the one to do the hunting. He had to wonder if Desious would agree...likely not. Still, that left the problem that if they weren't here, then they had already moved. It would be difficult to find them, then. Were had they gone? They couldn't have just upped and vanished unless Desious finally decided to reap the lot of them.

Hah, now there was an amusing thought.

And what was that faintly cold, but star-scented smell that hung in the air? It was familiar yet he couldn't quite place it...

"Ah..." Cyl turned their attention to the two newcomers, recognizing them instantly as their thoughts were interrupted. Golkai and Delthrael. Two of her older siblings. War and Change, respectively. Both of who, had proven to be infinitely entertaining in the past. Especially Delthreael. Change was always something they were in advocacy of, if only because change brought new and interesting things with it and it was always entertaining to see how people, especially humans, reacted to such things.

"You don't remember me? I'm wounded, brothers." Cyl chided playfully. "Ah, ah, not that I can blame you. Whoever remembers or pays attention to the runt who doesn't want any to begin with? Hehe, I certainly wouldn't. Or maybe I would. They might have proved entertaining." Of course, before he could get another word in edgewise, Delthrael seemed to attempt to show them some form of illusion - Cyl recognized it as such immediately.

His eyes may have been dulled, but she was not blind. Considering they didn't care one bit about what happened to Heaven so long as magic remained, his older brothers illusion would likely have far less of an impact than he had hoped it would, even if he hadn't been able to immediately see through it. Still he let the God of change say what he would. Instead he focused on trying to pinpoint that smell...

...ah wait...wasn't that?

"Aha...found you...!" She giggled, turning to Delthrael. "Me? Stand with Amos? Why, it's like you don't know me at all, brother dearest. I'm quite frankly shocked and appalled that you'd think I'd stand with anyone...but in this case you are actually quite correct. At least, for the moment." He flashed the God of Change a toothy grin. "After all...Amos might show me something interesting, and I would quite like to know the outcome."

What was this interesting thing he might be shown?

Why, the death of Desious, of course!

"Ah, ah, but that aside my not-so-friendly siblings...I think I have found Desious in the others." He took a deep breath. "I'd recognize this starry scent anywhere. Stjerne likely showed up and they left us all here by ourselves. Talk about rude. I can follow him of course. He's not exactly subtle."
"No idea," Livia replied. "This cemetery predates the city. It's possible she is, though if so I would think she'd remember her own life a bit better instead of remembering nothing beyond the cemetery's walls. I don't think this stone holds any power, or rather, if it did it's long since faded." Or at least, that's as much as she was going to say at the moment. Not enough information to make a solid guess at the moment.

"Now hold on a minute," Charlotte interrupted. "A protector? That means she's trying to keep us out. Why would someone want to keep someone out of a graveyard?"

"Huhm. Someone's using their noggin." She smirked. "Truthfully, we don't have enough information. My words are only things I have come to a conclusion after a year or so of study."

"So we don't entirely know what we're dealing with here." Charlotte pondered, giving a small frown as she held a hand to her chin. "If something or someone is controlling her like we're assuming, does that means they're looking for something here?"

"Perhaps, but as I said we don't have enough information to have a correct answer. I have guesses," She frowned. "but none of them pleasant. I'll elaborate more if it becomes relevant, but for now we should find her." Ren hopped down from Himeko's grasp, walking in a circle for a bit before settling down. "Don't worry Ren, we'll find her before anything bad happens." The fox raised one of its paws to its muzzle, before scampering off in a random direction. "As for how we find her, she'll likely not be in any of her usual places...and tracking a single spirit is difficult at best. We could wonder around but ultimately I feel that would prove useless. If she's avoiding us, she can simply find a locked mausoleum and hole up there...and it would lead to use likely being attacked by more spirits."

Livia frowned, furrowing her eyebrows. How exactly did one find a ghost that didn't want to be found?

"...Hm, if it's no too much trouble, perhaps we could draw her out." She finally replied after a few seconds of thought. "You're good with that blade of yours, so put it to use. There's a lot of activity not far from here on the other side of the graveyard."

"You think finding more of those spirits and killing them would draw them out?" Charlotte questioned. "That seems a bit of a long shot." Not like they really had much more of a choice, though.

"It would at least be better than twiddling our thumbs."
Okay, so, barring the guild spazzing out again I'll get a post up either later tonight or tomorrow.
The fox, named Ren apparently, silently nuzzled Himeko's hand but said nothing.

"Odette attacked you?" Livia's eyes widened again before frowning. "That is...not good...and well, explains where all the spirits have gone. Odette likely...got rid of them." She paused for a moment, obviously thinking of just what she should tell them here but seemed to quickly decide on her answer. "Your intuition may only be partly correct, Himeko." She began. "Someone may, in part, be controlling her."

"Meaning what exactly?" Charlotte asked, a frown crossing her face.

"You see, Odette is a rather special sort of spirit. Dead, yet fully aware and in control...and she possesses the ability to control other spirits. We call spirits like that a 'Wight'. Further still, she possesses the ability to take a spirit and give it another form completely using raw energy...like Ren there." She said, motioning to the blue fox-like spirit. "That's not actually a fox, but rather a spirit that was once human."

"...wait, she can turn human spirits into something else? That...sounds painful." Charlotte grimaced lightly, though she couldn't really judge there. If they were doing it from a mutual agreement or something.

"Mhm, from an uneducated standpoint you might think so. But most spirits do so willingly as it allows them to both interact with the physical realm and offers them more power to do certain things. It's really a win-win situation." Livia continued. "But that also means...if she's hostile then we're going to have to likely fight all of the spirits that once resided here."

"So what do you mean Himeko's theory 'may be correct'?" Charlotte questioned again. It sounded like Livia knew a bit more about the situation that she was entirely letting on. Or at least, she had some insight that could help them. She had to at least ask.

"...Hmph, caught onto that did you?" She smirked. "Well, you see, Odette...is bound to this place, if you will. A protector of sorts. This graveyard is ancient and has many secrets within it, should one look. I don't think Odette realizes it herself, but this pillar in front of us is actually her grave. A rather grandiose one for a simple girl, isn't it?"
Opera Night

~@Eviledd1984(MAR))~

Christine, was in complete shock. She couldn't say or do anything, she just fell to her knees as she looked at the scene before them. Just...how? Why? was it the phantom they said they saw? Or was it someone else? He had been supposedly meeting with a foreign lord of sorts, hadn't he? But she couldn't vocalize any thoughts right now.

All she could do was stare up at Maria like a lost child.

"R-right..." She glanced up at Nephele as she bolted towards the room on the second floor. "...Maria, what do we do?" The formerly spunky and energetic girl seemed completely despondent. Given what had just happened. Before Maria could give a reply though, the entire air in the foyer seemed to shimmer and waver. The air seemed to come alive and take a washed out look as if it was an old painting, flakes falling off and turning into small, black and blue butterflies before flying off and fading into nothing.

What they were left with, was a a scene Maria had seen earlier. Gone was the bombast and ritzy atmosphere of the manor from before. Now it was replaced with nothing but creaky, broken floorboards. The chandelier itself was old and worn, broken in various places and covered in a few cobwebs. The paintings were completely destroyed.

"...?" It took Christine a few seconds to recognize this, but she couldn't seem to care too much. "M-maria...You won't leave me alone, will you?" She asked quietly, looking up at Maria.

The floor creaked, and footsteps could be heard, almost permeating the entire foyer with their presence.

They were heavy, as if someone was wearing a heavy suit of armor, a cold wind blew into the foyer as the door to the dining hall creaked open.

In the doorway, was a massive human, wreathed in black shadows and equally imposing armor. It seemed to be some sort of wraith? It was difficult to tell, but it was clear that whatever it was, was not a friendly. It lumbered towards Maria and Christine, a massive blade in one hand. Christine didn't look in any particular condition to be fighting, if she even could in the first place.

@The Irish Tree (NEP)

Meanwhile, the environment around Nephele was receiving much of the same treatment. The formerly well maintained and rebuilt manner faded into a more decrepit form. The floor creaked under her footsteps, and the windows in the room shattered. If she cared to take a look outside, even the town they had walked through seemed to vanish into thin air as the sun sank below the horizon. Of course, she probably wasn't paying too much attention to these details given her focus on finding a certain phantom.

Thankfully it seemed like the Phantom didn't make much of an effort to hide herself.

"Looking for little old me?" The phantom materialized in the opposite side of the room, face as most phantoms are, hidden behind a mask of sorts. In its seemingly jovial and energetically playful manner, it continued. "Quite the scene, isn't it! The master of the manor is dead, his daughter in complete shock and not a gallant knight to save them is coming. No no, the evil lord saw to that before hand, hehe! That's actually not me by the way." She grinned, giggling lightly. "Oh who oh who will save them, I wonder? Perhaps one of the guests has the courage to give this tale a happy ending finally? Or will it play out like always? Even I, such a master playwright can't see the outcome of this tale!"

~Arletta Dupain~

@PaulHaynek@The Irish Tree

Arletta led Talia round the building, giving her hopefully a nice tour of the place as she could. Granted, she had only been around for a few days so she didn't quite know about all the renovations but she did her best. It was honestly, a little adorable when Talia was so enthralled by the forge and armory. She couldn't help but to smile a bit at her enthusiasm as she showed her around the place. She went on to explain about how the place was built and how the dwarves built it, no good to lie to Talia really.

"...should it?" Arletta replied, frowning a bit. "Neils my friend, I don't think he'd keep secrets from us that could harm us." She continued with a thoughtful expression. "Everyone has their secrets, Talia, and they're that way for a reason. I trust Neil, he's a good kid."
