Bio

Hello! Welcome to my little bio.

Not much to say, really. Just a horror game protag that likes writing and playing vidya games when I'm not being chased by the cosmic forces of darkness. (I'm a security guard that works night shifts usually).

Have some dancing medjed.

Katarina couldn't help but to smirk as her arrow struck true, the creature roaring in agony and rage. The force of it alone should have crippled anyone without high vitality. The 'arrow' ripped through her entire arm and wing, the dark miasma spilling from her body, confirming the source of this corruption if there had been any doubt left. Kat's smirk faded soon, however. The horror girl wasn't done it seemed. she plummeted to the asphalt, seemingly merging with the miasma she controlled.

Hm, so that's how it was going to be, huh? Why couldn't they ever just die and make this easy?

Unfazed by the darkness, a sword appeared in Katarina's free hand, readying herself for a melee. As resilient as she seemed, she didn't seem particularly agile, and if she could merge with that Miasma, then that left only one course of action left. Lure her out, then strike when she reformed. She wasn't afraid of getting injured in the process - before she could however, another magical girl arrived on the scene. Electricity crackled, arrows of lightning bombarding the creature from the sky. An ally? The arrival distracted her just enough for the dark miasma to reach her before she could prepare herself fully for a melee. Instinctively, the hunter leaped backwards off the building, landing gracefully on the pavement below.

"Stop fighting, you two! Now what the heck is going on here?"

"That thing is a monster." Kat sternly responded to the new arrival, sword still in hand both ready to fire or use in a melee. "She was attacking people here and I intend on making it so she can't do it again." It would be obvious she'd be difficult to dissuade from finishing the job.

Fufu, this girl wasn't so bright, was she? Showing her human guise willingly - how gullible. She wouldn't do anything now of course, that'd just be crass and rude...but it'd make tracking her down easier later, if she had to for some reason. Not that it'd likely help much in the end though - this girl was dangerous, that much she was certain of. Best not to antagonize her intentionally unless she could get away with it for giggles.

"Ah, don't worry, don't worry," Chloe continued, walking down the alleyway. "Lets just say I have acquired something the Mint may be...keenly interested in." After moving away from the street into the alleyway, Chloe stopped walking as she took a breath and concentrated, the door to her apartment manifesting right in the wall of the nearby building. Opening the door and motioning for Sil to follow, Chloe stepped inside.

Surprisingly, Chloe's apartment was simply furnished. It didn't have as many decorations, and wasn't designed as eccentrically as she was dressed for the most part. Aside from the walls which were a black and white wallpaper, with much of the furnishings being of an expensive sleek, modern design. The only eccentric thing, was the light sources - a large crystal chandelier hung from the ceiling, filling the room with a bright blue colored light. Several more sconces were affixed to the walls, holding violet colored crystals which currently produced no light. The curtains on the windows were currently drawn shut, obscuring any alien landscape that might be seen beyond.

"And I like to think after taking care of a NEET for some time, my cooking and coffee skills are the best." She smirked confidently, closing the door behind Sil as soon as she walked in. Before Chloe could take five steps inside her own home, she was greeted with a rather pleasant sight.

"...Penny?" Chloe's eyes widened slightly. One of her old friends! Ah, she was glad she left that key with her, hehe! Before she gave anyone much time to comment, Chloe grinned and ran over to the other girl, tackling her in a hug Sam might find surprisingly affectionate. "How's my favorite little engine of destruction doing?"
Staying on guard, Kiri lowered her hands as the elf seemed to try and make sense of their presence. Understandable. Honestly, Kiri hadn't thought she'd make a first contact scenario so soon after leaving. She was a little unprepared for it, even she'd say, but she'd do her best regardless.

"Understood, Kendrick. Everyone, stay on guard." Following the elf slowly, Kiri put herself at the front, making sure that Jess was behind her and Kriev was bringing up the rear. She seemed to have calmed down a bit, or at least was accepting of their presence. Good, causing an intergalactic incident at first contact would have been bad. "KRIEV!" Kiri barked to their resident linguist. "I wanted to know what this pointed ear was saying an hour ago!"

Perhaps that was an unreasonable demand considering things, but she didn't have time to be reasonable in this situation. More importantly, who exactly was this girl? Judging from the roaring noises - they could be engines. A ship of some sort, circling? Awfully convenient. Perhaps they hadn't been as stealthy as they thought, and had been detected on some of the natives sensors? Or perhaps they had something to do with their new friend. Either way she was still on guard.

"If you can, tell her what we're here for." Pointing at themselves, then out to where the elf was pointing, Kiri made her best attempt at sign language. "Does she want us to follow her?"

Following Maeda into her office, Livia had to say she was impressed. It was well furnished, just as the Mayor's was. Not at all what she had been expecting from a simple teacher. The furniture and tapestries were of the finest craftsmanship, and one could tell they were likely quite expensive. A few instruments were laid to the side not far off, either. Perhaps Maeda was skilled in playing? A thought for later. Taking a seat, Livia took the tea with a quiet thanks as the Arachne continued. Livia was immediately concerned.

Setting aside the marvel that was the metal bird, what had Maeda heard? More skilled that most? Expecting her? Did Mayor Nicolas inform her? What exactly did her mother write in that letter? Maeda was talking as if she was already an accomplished mage, and certainly she was knowledgeable in those fields, but actual magic? She hadn't yet had any practice with actual spell casting aside from watching Bezif cast his. There was some sort of misunderstanding here, likely thanks to the further meddling of her mother. She briefly thought about clearing it up, but a quick glance over to Katherine removed any such thought from her head. She wasn't about to openly admit to being weak.

"I see," Livia replied as Maeda finished, setting the teacup down and observing the bird. "Well I'm flattered that one such as yourself considers my skill worthy of note when I've hardly done anything deserving of it." She replied in a humble manner before continuing. "But as you said, Mayor Nicolas said nothing about there already being undead and potential dangers aside from what you would expect to find." That certainly complicated things even further, but she wasn't about to back down in front of Katherine, or about to let rumors spread about how weak she was. No risk no reward, as they say. A magical presence deep within the crypt as well? Now that was both interesting and concerning. The rewards were greatly outweighing the potential risk. So much so she'd even put up with Katherine's presence to explore that ruin.

"Well lets get to business then," Livia continued, picking up Creme from her shoulder and placing the kitten in her lap. He promptly pawed the arm rest of the chair, mewing curiously at Katherine. "The faster we solve this problem the sooner the mines can be opened fully again. A few zombies shall not be much of a trouble as long as I stay alert. I'll buy a few supplies that may help before I leave as well." One could never hurt to be prepared. She'd just need to see what supplies she could buy from the local store. "But what of these components do you need for the bird?"

She just hoped her sister dearest kept her mouth shut without needing to be told.

"I think I have an idea. I have a decent 'feeling' for magic. I just can't seem to actually learn to properly use it yet." Ash replied slowly as she glanced over to the now dwindled fire. "I'm sorry, Scott." Ash shook her head as the pixie motioned to the dwindling fire. "I didn't make that fire myself. I made friends with a goblin the other night and she made it." If her lizard mouth had been capable of it, she'd be frowning. If anything, she hoped that particular goblin was alright. "I am not so certain its a good idea, either. The fire and smoke could give away our position if the goblins make it this far. If we had something easily burnable like wood, perhaps we could get it restarted." Pausing for a moment, Ash glanced back in the direction they had came. Perhaps this might be a good opportunity for another lesson? Magic seemed to be a versatile thing, though she wasn't sure of all of its applications yet.

"Hmm...I suppose you could try using magic if you want to practice. Try pouring more energy into your magic and focusing it on the ash pile." A simple suggestion. Back on earth, more energy generated heat after all. She wasn't quite sure of the physics or science of magic yet, but this world seemed to follow similar methods so far. "Lesser force may in fact be helpful for more menial tasks since I currently lack hands, so if you're offering."

"Gah-" Her first dive had Claire's face meet the ground. Taking a moment to shake some grass from her head, the redhead immediately got back to her feet and pursued the Chikorita again, too caught up in the chase to really notice where the small grass type was leading her. "Spunky little thing, aren't ya." Slightly careful to avoid the leaves from the Viplelume, Claire continued the chase. The back of her mind was telling her that yes, this was a terrible idea, but since when had she ever listened to that? There was no fun to be had if you didn't take a bit of a risk.

Meanwhile, back at the meganium, Ralia focused her psychic energy and teleported right up to the meganium's head. Taking a moment to orient herself, she raised a hand to her green head, scratching it lightly as she looked at the view of the forest from the new elevated position. Taking a moment to observe anything interesting going on, the Ralts then proceeded to grab one of the Meganium's antennae, and give it a light tug before immediately attempting to teleport away.

"Cute?" Suzue mused lightly as the lively boy walking on his hands winked at her. If her siblings heard him saying that, he'd be in for a rough time. The little dears were so silly sometimes. Well, that was neither here nor there. Suzue patiently waited for the others to express their concerns. Most were similar in nature, though a few made a few other good points. Alice seemed completely nonchalant about this whole thing, though. How cute. She might need someone to watch her if this was in fact, real on some level.

The 'proof' that followed was enough for Suzue.

The explanation over, Suzue walked over to the end of the table where the talismans were. Finding the one with her name on it, Suzue ran her hand over it and eyed it curiously. She could hear her heart beating in her chest nervously. If this was real, then that mean she'd likely end up fighting other things. That was not something she was extremely keen on doing. Still, with all the explanations given, she'd be remiss to turn this ability down. If she could even protect one person...well, then there was no need for hesitation. Flipping the talisman over, she read it.

"Jorōgumo are a type of shape changing Yokai that either takes the form of a beautiful woman or Joro spider. Most in folklore are malevolent by nature. Tricksters that use their cunning beauty to lure prey to feast on them. Folklore isn't entirely clear on their abilities, but what is known is that they can weave magical silk as strong as steel, communicate with magical fire-breathing spiders, and are sometimes associated with water as in the folktale of Joren Falls."

Did that mean she was one? Was that what this meant, that her Mother was one? Or did she simply have that sort of ancestry in her. In either case that would explain a lot, really. Hm. Looking around at the others, it seemed they were already manifesting some of their abilities. Nova seemed to have created a small blue flame in her palm. Alice seemed to have control over the wind or some such, and Aiden seemed to have trouble lifting a simple talisman. Well, might as well join in on the fun!~

Grabbing a needle, Suzue pricked her pointed finger and quickly placed the drop of blood on the talisman before holding it to her chest. Closing her eyes, she focused on the talisman. It started making her skin crawl. The feeling of something crawling on her skin, up her legs and towards the talisman. An unpleasant sensation for some, she'd imagine but for some reason it felt oddly natural to her. Wasn't really any different from the times when she played with Muffin. The crawling was followed by a muffled, muted feeling, as though she was having trouble breathing. Like something was tightening around her chest and lungs.

And in the next instant it was gone.

Looking at her hands and the rest of her body, nothing seemed too out of the ordinary. Glancing at a few of the others again, she noticed them getting used to their new powers. Taking a look at her hands, she frowned slightly. Seemed like something should have -

"Oh my..." Before she could say anything else, a small stream of silk liberally painted her face with the webbing like a certain unnamed american comic book character that shall remain unnamed. "Well this is...certainly interesting. I did not imagine when I came here today, this would be my activity." She giggled in a perhaps mildly suggestive manner, pulling the sticky white substance from her face. It didn't seem too useful at first glance, but if the threads were magical and as strong as steel, that could be very useful if she could practice with it.
Ya, about that thing about Livia going ballistic

Too late.

She ain't happy.

Well that could have gone slightly better. Oh well, no need to push the issue. Seemed they had another guest. Turning her head slightly, Livia cast a glance to who this new comer was. Her face immediately twisted into an expression of disgust, if only briefly.

What was she doing here?! She came here to get away from her family so she could finally get some peace of mind and work without her mothers or her sisters constantly messing things up for her. Thoughts of trying to get on friendly terms with Maeda left her mind as Katherine walked up and introduced them both. She even had the audacity to hug her! Of course, Livia did nothing. She couldn't do anything, not without hurting her chances of getting both information on the mines and potentially a job from Maeda. She swallowed her words as best she could, following Maeda into her office.

"Yes, well, before we were so rudely interrupted by a fiend," Livia replied in an cool, stiff, tone as she seemed to make a point of not acknowledging Katherine's presence. "As I said, I am Livia Fiore. I apologize for interrupting your class. I don't know what my sister dearest is here for," She continued, unable to hide obvious displeasure in her voice. "but I am here on behalf of Mayor Nicolas in regards to that ruin found in the mines. He has given me permission to help you study them."

Of course, Maeda's little line about things finding them was likely directed to Katherine. The timing was just too impeccable for it to not be. Couldn't be her. Compared to both of her sisters, she was nothing special.

...ugh, she wanted to leave now.

Entering the schoolhouse, finding Maeda was fairly easy. The small building had only a long hall with shelves where the children stored their belongings, followed by the classroom where Maeda taught it seemed. Not being noticed at first, Livia took a position at the back of the room as Maeda continued her lesson. Crème mewled playfully, purring lightly as he was cradled in her arms, pawing at her clothes lightly. For the most part, the Lesson wasn't anything she didn't already know. She was simply going over the Grandall empire, a brief history of the town and why it was still so remote. No one from the Grandall empire wanted to spare resources or money on some backwater town with potentially no profit. As for Maeda herself, Livia wasn't quite sure what she expected, but it was not a motherly Arachne. She supposed it was appropriate for the position she had, though. She herself, wasn't so sure of her ability to handle children in any capacity.

The next lesson was briefly about the creatures and beasts that lived around the Frontier Town. She recognized a Troll - vicious monsters. She was lucky not to have run into any on her own while traveling here. A hag followed, though she was unconcerned with them as much as she was a troll - and lastly a zombie. Overall though, it was an enlightening lesson. Learning what sorts of potential creatures lurked in the forests was always a good idea and way to stay prepared. When the lesson ended and Maeda finally took notice of her presence, Livia smiled lightly.

"You know, when I came to the Frontier I did not expect to find something quite so beautiful out here." Liva mused before introducing herself. "I am Livia Fiore, and it is a pleasure to meet you."

Chloe didn't have to wait long for the Mint to find her, as she had assumed. Efficient as ever, it seemed. Aha, how boorish. Wouldn't even let her have any fun without questioning what she was up too. Gazing at the girl in front of her, Chloe didn't immediately answer. A small pang of annoyance was felt at the back of her mind, the dragons emotions bleeding over into her own a bit. She was fairly certain he'd just want to crush her - but that's why she was here. To temper the dragons rage with a more measured approach. At least the girl in front of her was cute, heh.

"Ha, speak of the devil and they'll appear." Chloe smirked. "I was wondering when the Mint would sent one of their hit men after me. At least you're a cute one." Chloe nonchalantly replied, seemingly not concerned with the situation. Only stopping for a second, Chloe began walking again. "Come on then, walk. And lose that getup. If any of those silly hero wannabes happen by while we're so close to the party, we're going to be found out and that will complicate things more than I like." She wouldn't say much if Sil didn't, but she wouldn't idly stand there and wait for someone to happen upon what was obviously an agent of a Mint. At least if they was accosted by a magical girl, she could likely convince them she was just a cosplayer and the gloomy girl in front of her was a creep accosting her, heh.

"What was I up too, though? Hmm, I wonder." Chloe giggled. "Lets just say a cranky dragon wanted me to secure something for him and it required a bit of time to complete." Speaking of that mission, might as well try and appear more cooperative than she normally would be. "Ah, Isana's currently still involved with something - apparently she found some work outside of Penrose. She still hasn't used her Black Coin, but I figure the Mint is still keeping tabs on that, fufu." Stopping a few feet down the road, Chloe motioned to an alley. "If you want any more information, best we discuss it away from prying eyes. Join me for tea in my apartment? You look like the type who prefers coffee as black as your soul, though. I have that too."
