Bio

Hello! Welcome to my little bio.

Not much to say, really. Just a horror game protag that likes writing and playing vidya games when I'm not being chased by the cosmic forces of darkness. (I'm a security guard that works night shifts usually).

Have some dancing medjed.

"I make no promises." Rina replied sternly, but at least they were not fighting two people now - which meant they could focus on the main threat. Divide and conquer, as they say, and with a little luck they could pull out a win here...and it seemed as though they had gotten more reinforcements. The girl from earlier? Well, she'd welcome another ally in this mess for now...though she was carrying another girl with her this time. One that gave her pause, but she couldn't be choosy in her allies for the moment.

"Mhm, I apologize. I am Rina. We can save the pleasantries for later - we need to deal with these small fry." Rina readied the Axiom. She would like to help battle Elroy, but with the way things were, they'd just get in the way and they really couldn't let themselves be overrun. "Focus on keeping the Imps off the others - I'm going to assist Penny."

Rina engaged the Imps, hopping atop a gravestone with masterful agility and footwork, leaping from one to one whilst raining a flurry of small daggers and short swords down onto the imps from above. She glanced over to the fight between Elroy and Penny - she had only been vaguely aware of the other girls arrival. She had been too busy with Regina, and if she didn't know anything about Penny before coming here she'd have assumed she was also an enemy to be dealt with - but it seemed as though fortune favored them still.

Whatever she was, and whatever she was doing, she seemed to be assimilating metal around her.

Which meant...

Hoping the monster girl was still receptive and not utterly caught up in whatever destruction filled rage she was in, Rina leaped to the top of the tallest gravestone she could find. She enlarged her bow, focusing all of her mana into a construct similar to what she had done at the stadium. She needed to be careful here. She couldn't let Elroy get it himself - that would only make their position far worse, but she couldn't make it so hard for Penny to get either.

Well, hopefully Luck would continue to favor them.

"Blood of Iron, Heart of steel, Unwavering Resolve - " She really didn't need to say it, but it always seemed to help her focus upon her task at hand. The blade began growing once more, into something that resembled a human sized sword, certainly large enough to punch a whole through something. She wanted to do something a bit less bulky, but she wasn't sure if she would have time to supply Penny with a steady stream, so something like this was the best she could do. " so as I pray - Fly true sword of justice!"

A metal twang resonated through the air, blasting the sword towards Penny and just past Elroy.

"PENNY!" She shouted right after it left. "USE THIS AND KICK HIS ASS!"

Rina jumped from her gravestone towards another, turning her attention back to the imps.

"Darkness!? Why my fair maiden that hurts." Chloe laughed. "My little pet here just wants to play! So cruel, aren't you?" But Chloe wasn't here just to flirt. Well, there was also that, but not with this one. The Lucent Chimaera shrieked but it was cut short as a beam of light slammed into it, cutting it nearly in half. If it wasn't for its impressive vitality, it probably would have simply bit the dust there, but it wasn't quite out just yet.

A cruel surprise was waiting for anyone around it. A corrosive, purple mist fell from the injury as the creature shrieked...but Chloe's goal had been reached as the creature once more attacked the pillar, slamming its full body weight into it. But that was nothing more than a further distraction. Crystalline wings thrust Chloe into the air, a crystal in her hand her body mere inches from Divina's.

"Screaming?" A smirk formed on Chloe's lips, as the jagged crystal pierced Divina's flesh. A warm, sick feeling would quickly spread from the wound. "Does it hurt, dear? Such a shame your love is unrequited." A bright flash of red would color Divina's vision as Chloe continued. "He's not even here to help you. But that's okay...you don't have to worry about that any more."

A stream of blood flowed from Chloe's arm towards the Crystal, fueling her magic as the entirety of the crystal had now sunk into Divina's heart.

"Just let me help you - Relax. Don't fight it. You'll feel much better."
Viola, Melody, and a Tree

Meruin nodded. It looked like her venture here was over for the moment, which was all the better for her really - it honestly felt as though she were simply strung along for the ride by La'Tavia.

With that being said, the diminutive mage made for her the train station - hopefully the better classes and field trips weren't filled yet. Plus, she'd need some supplies for later, so she ought to visit the shopping district as well.

Back with Viola and Melody, the sole remaining treant "hmm'ed" as he sought to answer Viola.

"Those are a great many questions, little flower. But I will try my best to answer them."

The great oak made to sit down - a messy feat for a creature with no joints - and "hmm'ed" again.

"Perhaps, I may start with this forest," he began. "The forest is an old one, and it was also where many of us treants sprouted, when we were mere saplings."

"I assumed as much." Viola replied. "This forest reminds me of home, almost." She chuckled lightly, still licking the lollipop. "My forest was much...darker, though. Somber. Melancholic? But your forest seems so much more lively. Tsk, if only I wasn't a novice..."

"Hum, well, this forest of ours is quite lively, but with liveliness comes risk," cautioned the old tree. "While I don't quite understand all this 'novice' business, a little flower like you would be naught but nourishment for the forest."

"Still, there was a time when anyone could come and walk through our forest - many of them children, though not all of them suffered the same fate." The tree hummed again. "That adventurous time is gone, another consequence, I suppose, of the Archemages' rules. Many hold that such rules hold no place for our forest, but us treants have no care for such arguments, so long as our Flower is safe."

Melody looked between the Treant and Viola. "I might be able to get you into the forest!" she piped up, as she landed softly on the ground, "I'm a JourneyWoman, so they'll let me in if I need to." She started to say, before standing up, "I'l love to go in the forest, it looks pretty, and I can't practice my magic out in the open anyway."

"Haaa, as much as I adore your enthusiasm dear Melody, I doubt they'd let me into the forest., even if I am used to frolicking through the woods." Viola sighed. More curiously though was talk of this flower the Treant mentioned. Now that was a juicy bit of information she could perhaps use. "...flower, my dear Treant?" Viola glanced up at the hulking tree curiously.

"Hrm, oh yes, our Flower." The treants voice had taken an gentle, almost reverent tone. "Treants do not have flowers, you see? They do not grow on us, like leaves and branches - but rarely, or perhaps only once? for I have not heard of another - one among our kind grows flowers."

The treant paused, contemplating its next words with great care, not for the sake of caution, but so that it could properly convey the magnitude of its emotion.

"It is a . . . wondrous thing. Forgive this, hrm, hasty statement, but you humans do not know beauty, until you have seen a treant that bears flowers. For many who gaze upon her, it is love at first sight - not love like a human, but love like a treant, and for those unlike a treant, it is a terrible thing indeed."

Melody positively grinned as the Treant said this. "I wanna see, I wanna see. Where is she?" She asked. It was everything she had to not run off into the woods and start looking for her immediately. She wanted to see something so pretty soooo badly.

"Don't know beauty? And here you have my adorable self perched on your shoulder. I am hurt." Viola replied with an impish giggle. "But no...I understand, my dear Treant. I grew up surrounded by a dark, wonderful forest whose smell of dark mist and pine needles I do so miss. Humans oft in this day and age do not understand the beauty of nature...pity, really." Viola said with a sigh, "Humans do need to live much slower, but alas with such short lifespans most can't afford it..." Smirking lightly, Viola Looked towards Melody.

"Perhaps if this kind Treant wasn't bound by his contract he would show us...alas, such contracts are all binding and irreversible unless both parties agree."

The treant hummed, a slow, postulating rumble. "I would love for you to meet our flower - she is of a curious nature, and would dearly love to talk with more humans." Looking at Violet, the treant lifted her from her perch on his shoulder, to face her at eye level. "Once you've been given permission to stroll through our forest, let us see her together, eh?"

"It is a deal then, my friendly little tree." Viola smiled. "But I do believe I should do that human thing and hurry along now. Perhaps we could discuss more later? I do so would love to hear more of your histories."

With a rumbling sound of assent, the treant put her down and stood up. "It was good to meet you, little violet. Now hurry on along. The treants will be here as always. It was a pleasure to meet you as well." It said, waving to Melody. It climbed over the wall, joining the rest of its brethren in their vigil.
Well, depending on what Kaze does we'll see. He's currently following her it seems.
Anyone in town wanna do something with Alfy? She's currently heading in that direction.

Chieko returned the hug, though unlike Aerith no tears came. She held Aerith for a few moments, until she was able to let go. She was relieved, really, but at the moment she really couldn't afford to be distracted by tears. She couldn't let herself be distracted by Aerith, either. She had to be back by noon, and she didn't have time to waste, but before she could say anything, Aerith's expression took a darker turn, and she began explaining something horrible.

Cultist? Attack? On the town?

"...I see." Chieko took a step back from Aerith. That was...really disconcerting, but what could she do? Maybe she could get help from Fritzi? Would they even want to help? They might even take the side of the cultists. Her thoughts were interrupted by the voice of another person. Another person who had been with them, though one she hadn't really interacted or talking to them a lot. Well, this was no time to try and be morose.

"A cultist attack? I see, I see!" Chieko attempted to put on a brave face, despite her ensuing nervousness.
"Well no fear! As a Hero I won't let them get away with such a thing, haha! After all after all my training Only Elder Sibling is a match for me!" She then remembered she was on a time crunch and frowned lightly. "...I'm sorry though, but I can't stay here long, Aerith, Alistair." Chieko glanced over her shoulder. "Elder Sibling has me on work today." She turned her gaze back to Aerith. "And I have to be back before noon...if I take too long, well...hmph, well it doesn't matter. Of course I'll complete the job."

Aaah, hook line and sinker. She could tell just from the doves expression she really wanted the dress. So gullible...but before she could finalize the sell in question, it seems her antics had come back to bite her in her fluffy tail. The man she had helped the other day, Mirt, decided now would be the time to reimburse her for her troubles, it seemed. Had she gotten away with it? Judging from his behavior, it wasn't likely.

"Fufu, hello again Mirt." Mie replied with a mischievous grin. "You wound me, forgetting my pretty face so quickly! Perchance what brings you here today, hmm?" But it seemed as though misfortune was going to follow her quite a ways today. Not seconds after Mirt showed up, a bigger problem showed itself. "My, my, it's getting quite crowded in here, isn't it?" Mie mused, fur on her tail standing on end as she observed the man. "...here, pretty birdie." Mie handed Eiko the dress. ""Run along now. I've got business to take care of, it seems. Bring back the dress later and I'll finish my work, hmm?"

Sending Eiko off was a small kindness. If things potentially got ugly...well, she didn't really care, but she didn't need her secrets getting out.
~~Seleth~~

@PaulHaynek

Seleth, was horrified.

She watched in slow motion as her super-charged spear bounced off the mirror, rebounding and slamming into Varjan. Seleth had prepared herself for hurting someone, but she hadn't prepared herself for fatally wounding someone. She turned, breathing heavily from exertion as her opponent muttered her name. She visibly grimaced as he asked her to end it. Seleth found herself moving towards Varjan, only partially aware that she was doing so, but with each step her mood worsened and by the time she was standing in front of the bleeding prodigy, she was absolutely filled with righteous fury.

"Varjan," Yet her voice was full of nothing but worry. What had brought such a bright person to this point? What had happened to him? Was his mother responsible? Was the pressure to succeed just that much for him? Seleth couldn't think of anything...but she could try keeping him alive.

"I don't know what's going on with you, with your life - " She grabbed him by his shirt collar, grinding her teeth together. "Are you going to prove yourself right, you weak willed human?! That you're weak?! That you're worthless?! Because Varjan - you're not. You made it all the way to the finals. You are a great user of magic. You were the top student in the school."

Seleth didn't remove the spear from him. She had already won this match. The rest should be up to the officials, but Seleth herself made the decision here and now. She wasn't leaving his side until he was taken care of.
Team Midas

The Beacon Hotel, East End of New Carcosa/April 20, 2028/2:30pm

It was by all accounts, a normal day in Carcosa. People going to their daily commute. Kiddos going to highschool. Grown ups going to their soul-crushing desk jobs. Some cult trying to kidnap someone and summon some horrific being. A Swat Van with its lights on going 90 down a city street.

...yep, totally normal.

“OUTTA THE WAY JACKASS.” Pulling hard on the steering wheel, its driver narrowly managed to avoid slamming into the back of a semi, swerving into the other lane just in front of another car and likely slamming around the passengers in the van. Clicking her tongue impatiently, Kat swerved once more, stepping on the gas as she pulled in front of the truck, getting back in the other lane just to make a hard right down a one way street.

“Christ,” She grunted, finally setting the van straight in a mostly stable position. “Y'think people would get outta the way for a police vehicle.” Beating on the wall behind her to get the others attention, “Hey you guys still alive back there?!”

As the van jerked, Thompson lurched upward about a foot in the air and promptly came back down to his seat with a small thud. Though his helmet still masked his expression, his face was a mask of pure terror mixed with queasiness. "Alive, and wishing I wasn't," Thompson replied. "... I'm going to lose my lunch if we don't get to the hotel soon."

Minos's face was not one of pure terror, it was the pale face of a man about to vomit his insides right away. Thankfully, due to his large mass, it was harder for Kat's sudden swerves to move him around, however, they were easily able to make the large minotaur man sick. From the look of things, he was trying to look as if he was trying and failing in maintaing his composure. It was why he hated driving in vehicles, especially when their designated driver was Kat. "Uhhh, Thompson, I think you might want to move a bit." He warned the man in front of him

"Just a question Thompson, can that helmet of yours filter out the smells?" The large bull man asked.

"... No, but I'm sure I'm going to start to wish so soon."

“Ahaha!” Kat seemed entirely oblivious to her teammates plight, or just didn't care as she laughed. “Man you lightweights wouldn't last a second dropping into a hot zone in some desert in the asscrack of the world.” Taking a hand off the steering wheel, she reached for a taco that had somehow miraculously survived getting tossed around like some salad.

“We'll be at the hotel in five minutes,” she said, mouth full of taco. “So what info we got on the job so far, bossman?”

"Not all of us were mercs, Kat." Minos asked, still able to maintain his cool demeanor, though on the inside he felt like he would soon see what his lunch looked like again, thankfully, Kat's question distracted him enough for him not to think of that anymore.

"Crazy bunch of cultists have taken hostage people at the Beacon Hotel. They seem to follow Kaiwan as their deity." He said turning towards her. "Captain Vhurdaer hasn't filled me in on all of the info just yet, but I think we might have to go through the basement and free the hostages before we are to go in guns blazing... speaking of, how good can you guys fight in close quarters?"

“Close quarters is my specialty, Bull.” Kaiwan, huh? Never heard of them. Probably some small time fringe cult. Kat took another bite out of the taco. She had a...curious relationship with cults. Being practically raised by one had given her quite a few different ideas about them. Most notably, was that she wasn't entirely all too put off by them. She could care less what they got up to as long as they didn't bother her, and today was just business. “Y'know, if ya read anything on me like you probably should've.”

"I was asking just how confident you all were about your skill because we might have to go in silent there, which possibly means no firearms or simply some small arms with silencers." The bull man said, his brow now narrowing as he focused on the mission itself. "If we get caught too early, I don't doubt that we'd be able to take them all down, but we might endanger the lives of the civilians in there."

Thompson waited for Kat to finish before replying to Sergeant Minos, mostly so he could steady his stomach, but it didn't hurt that speaking last helped his man of mystery vibe. "I know basic Sambo and have a penchant for knife fighting, but it's not my strong suit. I much prefer keeping at a range." The officer didn't have strong feelings on the cult, but it was his job to get rid of them, whether that be through arresting them or killing them.

"Alright, so you might have to stay a bit back for this one Thompson because if we need to go in there without firearms, I need to be sure I'm not putting you in danger. You and the rest will storm in once Kat and I are going to free the hostages, got it?" He asked, still looking a bit ill, though seemingly recovering.

"Got it, sir."

He nodded towards Thompson and turned towards Kat once more. "I don't mean to annoy you there, Kat, but are we there yet?" He asks. "Because if not, then I am afraid that Thompson's mask may need a cleanup before we join the mission."

Seconds after Minos asked the question, she pulled on the brake, turning the wheel sharply once more. The tires screeched, the smell of burning rubber filling the air as the large vehicle slid perfectly to a stop on the opposite side of the street of the hotel. Reclining in the seat and resting her arm on the steering wheel, Kat gave them both a grin.

“Thanks for riding Sinclair bus services. Please keep the contents of your stomach to yourself until after you exit the vehicle.” She grabbed the last of the taco, downing it as she grabbed her helmet, walking out of the van.

“...oh, and Boss man.” She turned towards Minos, a cold, emotionless gaze as she hefted Remy over her shoulder. “I don't save hostages. I take care of problems.” Strapping on her helmet, she exited the van and stepped onto the ground.

The moment that the car stopped, Minos rushed out to feel the fresh air, taking in a deep breath as he did. However, the joy lasted only for a moment when he saw the situation at hand from the distance. "Well, this does not look good at all." He said as he observed the situation at hand. He signaled the two to follow behind as moved on towards the captain. "Team Midas, sir, reporting for duty, what is the situation?"

"Midas, so nice of you to join us. While you three were enjoying a midday drive, the city decided to shit itself. I just got off the phone with the boss, you three are going to round the block and enter the hotel via the rear basement entrance. Another team will drop in through the roof to secure the floors on the way down to meet you at the lobby where hopefully this doesn't end in a fucking bloodbath. Minos, your team needs to secure the basement before we send reinforcements in. Blueprints of the building say its cramped down there so we cant risk sending half the force in there at once, next thing you know some asshole with explosives gets creative. You guys are good with CQC so you're the first ones in. Secure that basement and await further instructions once thats done. Lewis will take you guys to the entrance", the captain didnt waste time to wish them good luck, instead returning to his van where a team of operation coordinators relayed intel and orders to the other teams.

Minos simply nodded. "Ok then, you lot heard the captain." He said turning towards Thompson. "Thompson, you see if you can be transfered to the roof team, if not, stay with the rest here and storm the building once we're done with our part of the mission." His sights turned to Kat. "Kat, you prepare your equipment and let's go, we can't waste anymore time." He says, moving the truck to retrieve his personal melee weapon from the truck itself. "Oh yeah, Team Midas, after this mission we go at the bar, understood?" He asked, the other two members of his team.

“Yea, yea, if I ain't doing anything else.” Kat replied with a grunt, checking her pistol and other armaments. At least she wasn't going to be having to try and save hostages. That'd just be bad times all around. “Lets get on with it. My trigger finger's getting' itchy.” She couldn't use Remy for this right away, but she could easily just knife a fool.

Urgh! So late! She figured she'd be cutting it close, but she didn't intend to just sleep through the entire thing! Quickly running to her closet, Isobel ran through some of the clothing...all of which probably could use a light washing, but eh. It was fine. Quickly going through them, she found her usual attire. Smelled fine. Was probably fine. Just gonna get it dirty later anyways so she'd wash later.

Now she just needed to do the painstaking thing of fixing her hair and maybe a quick bath.

"ORA!" Running out of her room with clothes in hand and Ciervia clinging to her shoulders as she bolted past Darcella, quickly commandeering the bathroom. "Sorry Darcy! Gotta thing this morning need the bathroom!~" She shut the door behind her.

Siobahn merely giggled impishly, a wide grin forming on her ghostly visage at Eva's reaction to her cheating, but for the most part didn't reply, merely zoomed over her head and patted the smaller girl with one of her skeletal arms before floating next to Livia as Eva left to get dressed.

"How's Eva seem, Siobahn?" She asked the ghost, walking back over to her own closet to put together a proper dress. Eva was always so positive and cheerful, but she was always so exhausted and she'd be dishonest with herself if she didn't worry about her sister. Speaking of human health, they needed sleep to live. At least seven to eight hours to function normally. Insomnia like Eva's was bound to have its side effects.

"Fehno, Meui." Siobahn replied, floating over to Livia's side, placing a skeletal hand on her summoners shoulder in a mildly overly familiar manner, only to have Livia shoo her away.

"Is that so." Livia replied curtly. Siobahn pouted lightly, but otherwise said nothing as Livia pulled off her bed clothes and pulled on her usual blue dress, taking a seat at the desk and handing Siobahn a comb. "Well, keep an eye on her where you can and well, you know..." Siobahn gave a small nod of confirmation as she began running the comb through her summoner's hair. A few moments passed and they were done, Siobahn disappearing into Livia's shadow as she exited the room, just in time to see Nettle be tackled by her sister.

"Don't bother Nettle too much, Eva." Livia replied with a smile at the sight of her other dorm mate. "I'm sure as cuddly as you are, she's rather eager for breakfast as well." She turned her gaze to Nettle, smiling softly. "Good morning as well, Nettle. I apologize on my sisters behalf. Perhaps breakfast would be good for the three of us?" She glanced over to another person in the hallway. Max. Someone who she didn't particularly know very well...but then, the only person on campus she knew in any degree was Eva. Nettle as well, perhaps...so for the most part she ignored him, but the fact he addressed Eva was some cause of concern for her. Perhaps she'd need to keep an eye on him.

She had been intending on exploring alone. Maybe go to the town and see what it was like, since she had never really been in one before. Since arriving she had kept herself to the outskirts and the woods, just messing around and mostly just been staying up on the mountain. Honestly...

"Wahaha, silly Kaze, Alfy can handle herself." she replied with a bright grin, not slowing her quick pace, hammer hefted over her shoulder. "I lived on that mountain for my entire life! Wahaha, well, almost oops..." She scrunched her nose up in thought for a moment, before shrugging off whatever thought she had as she headed in the wrong direction - that is, towards the town. Not the forest.
I have a similar question as I intend to have Alfy crash their hunting party after a small misadventure
