Amuné jumped and looked over her shoulder guiltily when Gage spoke up. She hadn't known he was there. And then he went and agreed that Cecil was just a Machina. Why didn't anyone seem to get this? "It /does/ matter!" She gasped when he threatened Wyth, though the moorcat didn't seem perturbed. Still, the threat scared her, and she stepped closer to Cecil, reaching to take his hand again.

Just because she let the matter go for a little didn't mean she'd forgotten it, and no sooner had they made it to Norman's shop than the girl slipped past Gage and darted inside. "Mr. Norman?" she called, quickly seeking him out. "Mr. Norman, Cecil's a person, right? I know he's Machina, not Muran, but he's not /just/ a machine, that's like...like...like saying Saint Edos is /just/ a Muran! So why do people keep thinking he's not?" Her words came out plaintive. Amuné had all but forgotten how surprised she'd been to learn that Cecil was Machina, and perhaps it was because she'd thought him Muran at first that she was so certain he was a person. Nonetheless, she found it deeply disturbing to hear Gage speak of her friend like he was just a /thing/. That was wrong.

Man he must've left early, to walk all the way there. I can't see him taking a bus. It's kinda cute, actually. Hm...I don't think she'd let him hold her hand for travelling. He'd too young to be of interest to her, and even if he had shown signs of a crush she'd try to discourage that. But he hasn't, so she's more likely to see it as an effort to guide her...and she kinda resents that. ^.^;; I tried to give him the opportunity to take her hand in the form of a handshake, if you wanna use that. Would it be enough? Flying might work, though there's a chance she'd try to throw him off. Teleportation would definitely work -- but again, she might try to throw him. However this is far safer at their destination than midair. =P Not that it couldn't work for /us/ either way. ^.^

as a heads up, this week has thrashed my rump. Performance is tomorrow and Saturday, and I will probably not be doing anything until mid-Sunday at the earliest. Anything before then is a lucky break, and based solely on where I have abundant inspiration. Following that things should be back to (mostly) normal.

@Mogtaki @vena Sera @pascal actually, this is something ive mentioned before. It feels like much more than a week has passed since they met. It seems like maybe the space between towns should be longer...I don't know. It has been more than just two, but not that many more. I am try into keep that in mind but Amuné keeps wanting to get attached very quickly.

Why was Cecil so hard on himself? He shouldn't need anyone to talk to? Not supposed to be around people? "Hey," she said with a frown. "Norman's the mechanic, right? He knows about Machina and all? And he says you're working good, right?" Amuné paused long enough for an affirmative answer. "And he said he's not seen a Machina like you before. You're special. You look far more Muran than any other Machina, don't you? So if Norman says you're working properly, and you have feelings, then that must be right. Norman said it was unusual, but not that you shouldn't. Just because other Machina don't doesn't mean a Machina can't. You can. So how do you know you're not supposed to be like this?"

It seemed perfectly reasonable to her. But the Machina was very reasoned. The girl knew she needed more than just intuition to help him accept it. She hoped he would. Amuné was certain he wasn't just some old machine. "You don't have to be the same as me to be a person. I mean, look at other people. Nymira's nothing like Ethan. She's not even Muran! She has a tail. And scales! But she's a person. So're the Divined, and Ydra like me and my Daddy. And there's people that say Wyth isn't a person, that he's just a dumb beast because he's furry and walks on all fours, and there /are/ wildcats that look a bit like him, but they're not nearly so clever. I think of him as a person. He's certainly family, and I love him and I know he loves me." She demonstrated by giving the giant cat a vigorous headscratch, and he responded with a brief rumble of a purr, butting his head against her side. Amuné stumbled a little, using Cecil to find her balance again as she chuckled. "Wyyyth! Careful, you'll knock me over!"

She turned her attention back to the Machina. "So if Wyth doesn't count as a person, you don't even need to be a person to have feelings. You're a thinking, feeling person and I'm going to treat you like it because that's the right thing to do!" A stubborn frown creased her forehead. "Everyone gets in trouble sometimes. But you're my friend, and that means I stick by you anyhow. Just like you've done for me."

Y'know, I don't think I'm going to join unless I get really inspired. I am far too focused on fiddly details, and I don't have a good idea for another fey right now. I'm also rather busy, especially with something big coming up at work and then this one team rp puzzle challenge on another site. Wish you all the best, guys!

It /is/ a shame I won't get to see more of Falk and Drasil, and that Sini won't have to suffer through ruling, but...eh. It happens. *shrug*
