"Tired but otherwise buzzing," Duncan answered Trey. "I had Yurius' combat class this morning. After being babied yesterday, it felt good to do some combat, and feel like a trainee Dawnslayer instead of a child." Before Duncan could ask how Trey's morning had been, Lumen joined them, and he and Lumen talked about Tholl's class, answering his unasked question for him.

"Hey, Lumen," Duncan answered. "Good to see you too. Of course you can sit here. So, how was Tholl's class? I'm not sure what she even teaches." He directed that question to the both of them. After their answer, he answered Trey's question about Roland. "He's alright, I guess. A bit bummed out that we were being treated like kids when we could help. Even though I'm terrified of what was out there, I can sympathize with that."

Imagine the hotties we'd be able to see if we had a beach episode~

Mako laughed at his comment about being able to at least make saltwater salty. That was actually quite funny. She didn't even have to fake it! "That's a healthy attitude to have! Of course, all students should be trying for constant improvement and should never be complacent at the levels they are, even if they're good at the subject.

And if you insist you're fine, I won't press the issue,"
she started to speak quietly, leaning closer, and her grin starting to feel dangerous, "But you can't fool a Witch. There's a fire raging inside you, and I don't mean heartburn. I am serious when I suggest that you really should notify a member of staff about the Demon that's inside of you as soon as possible, for your own good."

She just came out and said. Strangely, nobody nearby has seemed to have heard or noticed. The truth was that to everybody else on their table, she hadn't said a word or opened her mouth once. It wasn't telepathy, for he had seen her mouth move. What manner of sorcery was this?

@Strange Rodent

Eilidh was shaken from the fireball, which was why it was thus so easy to attack her in her dazed state until she was kneeling and being choked. Luckily, her senses came back in time for her to grab the staff and push it away from her, giving her a tiny respite in the form of the ability to breathe. The mage was surprisingly strong, though! It took all of her strength, and both hands, to keep the staff away from her neck.

"Why?!" She yelled back, her voice straining with effort. "To prove you wrong? We are not bloodthirsty creatures! If you rally Varjans to attack an innocent and peaceful community that posed no threat to you, under false pretenses, it's clear who the real monster is!"

Using her powerful forelegs, she forced herself back upright, causing the mage to have to reach up to carry on the hold, and thus weakening his grip. She pushed the staff hard with a sudden surge of strength, lifing the mage off the ground in the process, before escaping his hold, dashing forward, facing away from him, then delivering a double-legged buck right at his armored chest Hopefully it shouldn't kill him with his armor, but it might break something.

Hopefully.

On board the prison wagon, Rebecca felt they were finally given some respite, and started to chant verses about healing and cleansing, her hands adopting a preying position. Everyone around her would feel their pain begin to ease, and any injuries or burns they sustained begin to slowly heal.

Their break from combat was short lived, as a sword began to stab at them from the roof forcing them to keep low, and for Rebecca to cease her healing magic. As well as this threat, two other Varjans were trying to break into the cage. Sword ready, the priestess waited for another teammate to engage the armed one, and while they were doing that, she would stab the one with the key.

Kasuke Mina

Mina danced out of the way of Dulga's grab attempt, using one of her arms to parry the attempt and force Dulga's arm away. She needed her other hand, though, as Dulga's multiple arms meant she had to be very conservative with her own. She didn't block the other arm's attempt. Of course, Mina knew that with Dulga's arms being very strong and able to solve a good deal of fight, she wouldn't have much need to train her legs. Plus she was strong, but that just meant she was using more momentum and force. When Mina saw the punches coming, she moved back and low, taking less damage from them as she was travelling with them, and as she did so, she grabbed, Dulga's grabbing arm, pulled, and swept her legs at the same time. If this took out Dulga's balance and propelled her forwards, Mina would shift her weight so that if Dulga landed correctly, on her back, Mina would be on top of her. If she decided to hedge her bets and land face first, at least they'd both be hurt. Of course, this was if her manouver worked at all. Either way, she took the punches. All her falling back did was to reduce their force to that of an ordinary strong punch, so they really hurt.

Maeda Hitomi

Hitomi squirmed and bleated more, until Tomoe finally let go and hugged her arm instead, and offered to go get some coffee. The sheep girl was about to cheerfully accept, and had already started smiling at Tomoe when she was approached by a dour looking boy. It was only when he adressed her formally and bowed that she remembered him, making her smile back and return the bow, Tomoe still latched onto her arm.

"Goroshi Asahi! I remember you! We were in the same support classes last year, though I don't think we ever actually talked.
I never got to congratulate you for making it to the Hero class! So, congratulations!"
she chimed cherrfully. Was this girl even capable of feeling ill will towards anyone? She was like sunshine in human form, almost sickeningly so!

Kasuke Mina

Mina followed Dulga into the training room's changing area, and as her costume was damaged beyond salvage and a new one was in the process being tailored, she instead opted for the standard academy gym clothes. Besides, she was still feeling niggling pains in her back and neck. Fighting in anything that restricted her flexibility, like her costume, might not be a good idea yet. Mina saw her opponent's face as they were changing, and wondered what the story behind those scars were, but quickly pushed it to the back of her mind. It was irrelevant clutter that may distract her from viewing Dulga as her foe in this sparring session.

When the petite girl was ready, she followed Dulga out, and into the training room itself, and took a stance. She spent a few seconds calming herself and giving herself over to her martial arts instincts after Dulga's invitation to attack. Only when she felt ready, did she rush forward. She was quick! When she reached her opponent, she threw some quick, weak strikes at Dulga's abdomen and head, merely trying to feel her out right now.

Maeda Hitomi

Hitomi also didn't notice that a collision was imminent. As Tomoe was looking down, Hitomi was looking up. So the sensation of something connecting with her chest was alarming. Doubly so considering what, or rather who, she'd been thinking about. She bleated like a surprised baby goat, and leapt up from her bench, blushing.

"Oh! Oh, it's only you, Tomoe. You starled me!" She responded, before bleating again and squirming when Tomoe hugged her and buried her head in the sheep girl's chest again. "Please stop that! We're in public!" Hitomi chided, before smiling back finally. Tomoe was hard to stay mad at. "I was just sitting on this bench, thinking about...stuff. What about you?"

Mako Akane

"Oh, my, no!" The secretary replied, her infuriatingly sweet saccharine act not dropped for a second. "Believe it or not, I actually want to help you. That is, if you do still actually want to be a Pro-Hero. It's not just about power, or being the best. You also have to be good. You're not. In fact, if you weren't the Principal's grandson, I wouldn't even be wasting my time trying to correct you. I think you're a lost cause. But I owe him many, many favours, and I like a challenge. I run an extracurricular class for Hero students who need a little coaxing in the right direction. I'd like you to come along. Actually, let me rephrase that. You're coming along."

@pkken

My schedule's freeing up as I don't have as many classes now. I may rejoin this.

Kasuke Mina

Mina was icier than usual today. ever since the exercise, people had showing sympathy towards her, due to what Amane did to her. She didn't need people bringing up Amane every ten seconds. She rather forget that chapter of her life entirely. And she REALLY didn't want anybody pitying her. Kasuke Mina was the most promising future Hero in the entire class, in her own head, at least. Amane had utterly destroyed her, in spirit and mind as well as body. Never in her entire life had her ego been damaged this much. She needed to prove herself.

That's when she had remembered Dulga's sparring offer. Dulga was one of the MVPs of that exercise, at least in Mina's opinion. She decided to cash in that sparring offer, against somebody worthy of her, and prove to herself any everybody else, that she was number one. After some searching of the school, Mina eventually found Dulga in a random corridor. Despite how recently she'd been bedridden and unable to move from her beating, despite her needing to use a zimmer frame the first day she was cleared, and despite fainting from exhaustion in the kitchen after she had been fully cleared, Mina still made the following challenge;

"Hey, Dulga. Remember when you said you'd like to spar one day? How does today sound?" she asked, in a voice that could not be described as friendly and would likely not take a refusal well.

Maeda Hitomi

Hitomi sat down on a bench in the courtyard, and sighed. Even without the physical side of things, Hero classes were still a lot more taxing that the Support classes, which now looked like arts and crafts by comparison. Even so, she got a giddy, happy feeling in her stomach from just thinking about that, and had to look at it again! She pulled from her vest a folded piece of paper, and opened it to read the contents again. It still seemed surreal to her, reading the letter which stated that she was now an official member of Hero class 1A!

Ever since the exercise, her and Ruby had been welcomed with open arms. They'd more than proven themselves as having earned their place by holding the point for so long with just the two of them, and though the whole exercise was declared a no contest, everybody knew that their team had technically won. It felt good to be praised and accepted like that. Of course, her fellow support classmates, even a few she'd called friends were less happy about it. Several of them actually had combat-suitable quirks that made them far stronger than Hitomi, and unlike her, it was their lifelong dreams to become a Hero. Hitomi's dream, it was well known, was always to work in costume manufacture, and indeed still was. Still, she was grateful, and honored, and having lost her old friends just meant they weren't real friends anyway. And besides, she was already making new ones. Tomoe and Ruby immediately sprung to mind,

As well as Acion...

She looked up at the sky, puzzled. Did it suddenly just get hotter?

Mako Akane

Amane would find, as he began his janitorial punishment today, that he had a visitor this time, in the form of the beautiful school secretary. The former Supervillain, Akane Mako, was standing in the hallway, watching him, smiling with her eyes closed in her usual sly, false saccharine way.

"Yare yare. That didn't exactly go according to plan, did it?" She chimed in an almost mocking tone. "I watched the tapes. For somebody trying out for a Hero class, you weren't even trying to be a Hero. In fact, I was on first name basis with several Villains who'd baulk at what you did and said to poor miss Kasuke." By now she'd opened her eyes, and her burning golden stare was piercing Amane.
