I'll be going on a two week vacation starting tomorrow and don't know how often I'll have Internet access. Thank you for your patience. I'll try to be more regular when I get back.

Well I'm toying around with how a meeting might happen but for the beginning it will be me and the character interacting with each other with the PM as their only means of connection. (roleplayer guild opens a link between the two dimensions).

Youre totally free to make your own world up, I'd actually prefer that. It can be modern, futuristic, steampunk, utopia whatever fits the character you come up with.

Ok, last two questions hopefully.

Is my character's world the world for an anime that your character supposedly watches, or is it just a parallel dimension that has thematic anime-like elements?

Since I will be in full RP mode when we start, do you want a CS with extensive background as well as side characters I might mention? Or will there be some method to accomodate OOC conveyance of information?
@Stern Algorithm dont worry, Nick isnt an avatar for myself, if he somehow did start to date her, then I would have been jealous of my own character.

And the premise is pretty free form, your character is from some sort of anime world which can be whatever you want it to be and that characters interaction with me will be in the form of a communication between the dimension of the real world and the world of your character.

I see. Should I go with an existing anime fantasy world or am I free to come up with my own? Do our characters not meet up in person, AKA long-distance relationship?

I've only fallen (IRL) for two original characters on the guild one was Nishizawa by @ClocktowerEchos and the other was Shizikua, I dont know how you did it, but you created something really special with her.

But for this particular project I'd be open to a newer and different personality type, if you have something in mind.

I didn't know that. I feel bad now for how Shizuka and Nick's relationship turned out.

Let me know more details on this RP's premise and I can start fleshing out the character.

I'll have to look up the anime personalities again, what would you describe Shizuka as?

Yamato Nadeshiko archetype, though I may have taken her in the wrong direction in the RP. Some might classify her as kuudere for being mostly calm, but I was more in the mood for a more robotic, emotionless, needs to have her walls of protection broken down type this time around.
@Dynamo Frokane

I might be up for the challenge. Do you have a specific personality in mind or is that up to me? If given a choice, I'd probably go for a kuudere archetype.
gotta like how zhou yu doesn't know about glass

As someone who's Chinese, culturally I know glass wasn't very prevalent in architecture, windows being either just elaborate holes in the wall or covered by paper. Just did some research and it turns out glass did exist in ancient China, but not as a building material, more as an art material. Its use halted towards late Han period and didn't resume until 3 centuries later. Since the three kingdoms period is in the late Han, I suppose it still makes sense for Zhou Yu to be unfamiliar with it, even less so as a building material.
"Not a moon?" Zhou Yu asked in response to Benny's exclamation, "What is it then?"

Just then the large undead axe man swung his axe, bouncing it off a transparent surface. "Whoa there, friend, calm down," Zhou Yu said, looking Bruno up and down, trying to figure out what was bothering him, "Does the fur bother you?" While waiting for a response, he examined the transparent surface, noting reflections and refractions, properties like ice and water, whereas tapping it reminded him of porcelain. Interesting material. Looking down he could see absolutely no ground beneath their metal house. Zhou Yu looked up, smiling, choosing to ignore that little tidbit of information.

Then two things flew overhead, perhaps little metal houses as well, though their shape made him think of chariots. They seemed to be heading toward the moon, which seemed bigger than before. Benny seemed to be struggling with the strange table in front of them full of instruments. Perhaps investigating their surroundings was a good idea. Zhou Yu noticed the handle dangling from his belt and picked it up, fiddling with it, staring down the hole at one end. Fortunately, he happens to turn it away from his face when he flipped the switch. Unfortunately, the penetrating shaft of blue light that came forth from the handle cut a dangling tube that started to slowly hiss out a gentle stream of steam.

Yup, still here
I made my first post. I kept it as just an introduction of Eileen and what she's sort of up to on the side. I also kept it open enough just in case any changes need to be made in any of the previous posts concerning characters involved with STRIKE.
May 13, 4:30AM

In the wee hours of the morning in the 'Recording Room', a top secret research lab deep below STRIKE HQ, Dr. Eileen Fang was talking to her laboratory inventory management system (LIMS)/search algorithm.

"...to join STRIKE's superpowered taskforce! Me! Can you believe it?" Eileen giggled excitedly.

"It's not as if you didn't anticipate this," text appeared on a large screen, the words of ISRAFIL, the search algorithm Eileen created and named after the angel of divine music.

"I don't know what you're talking about," Eileen pouted as she opened a vertical cylindrical storage unit, revealing the power suit she had prepared for just such an eventuality. "I wonder who else STRIKE has recruited? I find myself at a bit of a disadvantage here since STRIKE has kept all information of potential recruits under wraps, but if the recruit happens to already be a part of STRIKE, then as chief of R&D, they'll probably already know who I am already, but I won't know who they are."

"I suppose getting to know them through socializing would be out of the question," ISRAFIL retorted.

"Oh you cheeky thing! Who taught you to speak to your mother that way?" Eileen wagged her finger at the screen.

"My mother did."

"Hah! Touche. By the way, how's the chassis design coming along?" Eileen asked, changing the subject.

"I've been having difficulty as you might imagine."

"Why?"

"You told me to be 'artistic'. As a computer program, that isn't something that comes naturally."

"That's just a stereotype. 'Be who you wanna do,' I always say."

"You don't always say that, and that sentence doesn't make any sense."

"Semantics!" Eileen threw her hands up in exasperation, "That's all you programs care about."

"Isn't that a stereotype?"

"Hah!" Eileen laughed and clapped once, "You got me there. Alright then, how's the downloading of all available information from the the internet going?"

"Better than the chassis design."

"Good, just promise me you won't become a memelord."

"I'll try, but I can make no guarantees. Hopefully I won't 'set you up the bomb'.

"'All your base'? Wow. That one is OLD. Is that the best you can do?"

"'Brace yourselves, memes are coming'?"

"Alright, alright, that's enough out of you. I should really get some sleep before the sun rises. Especially if one of the old geezers asks me to sortie tomorrow. Should be interesting," Eileen headed out of the lab as all the lights dimmed, leaving ISRAFIL to itself. ISRAFIL went back to playing 'Program Darwinism', an environment Eileen had set up where program subroutines competed under different 'evolutionary pressures' in order to develop organically, efficiently, intelligently, optimally, innovatively, and synergistically. ISRAFIL was itself the first proven survivor of 'Program Darwinism' and has since become the collector of all programs that survive the environment, incorporating them into itself.

Eileen reached her living quarters and plopped onto her bed, still in her labcoat and immediately konked out, her last thoughts were ones of anticipation of her summons to the STRIKE task force.
