Overly Romantic/Sexual RPs

In almost every single interest thread I've come across so far, everyone just wants to shove romance into everything and anything - so no surprise there if someone wants sexy moments of a human with, I dunno, a freaking pokemon for example. No offense to those who like such pairings, but personally I find this rather disturbing. I can't imagine myself trying to do that to a cat or dog. O___O

Sure, romance can help to create some tensions between characters to spice things up (if done well deepen the bonds between our characters and pushes interactions to further height), but if it's something like a dramatic soap opera or just brainless bed actions, that is not romance to me - it's just pure fan service that serves no purpose to the RP progress and a huge turn-off.

Some Roleplayers are just so thirsty you gotta hand them a water bottle.

Colours in the IC

I don't mind the use of colour, so long as people aren't using it as a crutch. For example, I tend to get a lot annoyed when I see people using colours to differentiate between character dialogue and think that's an excuse not to format properly (beginning a new paragraph when a new person is speaking, using paragraphs to separate topics, etc.)

As well, and this is more of a personal problem, I'd rather people use colours that are easy to see, but not too bright. I have very photosensitive eyes, so I highlight all the text here in order to read it. Therefore, when someone uses say, bright red, it's hard to read both highlighted and not.

Basically, it's not a bad thing. I don't tend to use it myself unless I feel like readers are going to skim over my post if they don't see colour. I do HATE it, though, when people use colour as an excuse to ignore proper grammar and formatting. /end rant

I second to this.

For me, I'm perfectly fine with or without using colors in IC posts. Using colors just helps to brighten up the monochrome post. Of course, it doesn't mean basic writing rules can be forsaken. Lazy, horrible writing turns me off no matter how awesome the RP idea or your characters are.

When I have to read a character sheet and/or post that is full of spelling and grammar issues.

It's worse when the person even butchers character and area names.

I can close an eye if it's occasional minor typo errors, but an entire post or character sheet? That is just not acceptable and unforgivable. English isn't my first language but I do make efforts to proofread what I type as much as I can.

I mean, at least spare some thought for the one who has to waste precious time and brain energy to decipher all the gibberish mistakes when that can be spent more fruitfully to work on the next IC post, yeah? It's kind of ironic that people want fast response but they are not making things easier for their partners/other players when we all have RL sh!ts to deal with on top of your lazy, horrible writing. If you think it's troublesome to proofread your post, then don't blame people for turning their minds off and ditch the RP because you're asking for it with your laziness.

I hope you don't mind me moving the RP forward a little faster?

Was going to write out Chiron's part talking to our OCs but to avoid possible accidental godmodding of Val, I thought it's best to discuss how we're going to proceed the plot with you first. Chiron will be sending our characters to Morpheus to begin their quest, right? We'll need to agree on where they should be looking for the dream god - whether they will be going to the underworld to find him, or Val's grandfather is lurking somewhere in the mortal world hidden by the Mist or something. :)

I have a crisis lately: when I'm at school or work my mind is choked full of ideas for RPs, but when I'm actually on this site my brain is dead and writer's block comes in to party. *bangs head on table* Been lacking sleep, so that's probably why my head is malfunctioning.
