Current I think watching fight scenes can help in general terms with writing combat, since it can give you an idea of flow and choreography.

At least if you're writing something you know, with knights.
I mean, depends on what you're writing, and the tone and theme of what you're writing. Trained armored knights were legitimately monstrous on the battlefield, so looking up how they fought helps.

As much as there's a lot of reasons twitter sucks, I genuinely don't want to see it die for the sake of all the artists who now rely on it. Hoping the shithead stops trying to directly administrate.

Saber - Arturia Pendragon(Also Seria is there too)

It was her Master's words the drew her from her reminiscence.

In a city such as Fusang, the density of the mana, and of the population of Servants, made it considerably more difficult to detect an individual's approach. As a result, the golden-haired Saber had been so caught in her own memories that for a few moments she had failed to realize that the one who had invited her here had arrived. Her short ponytail drifting in the faint breeze as she turned towards him, her hand still placed to her chest...

"Lancelot, I..."

Her hand tightened against her chest. The last time she had seen him, her friend, her knight, he had been summoned into the Berserker Class entirely due to actions she had undertaken. He had been pierced on the tip of her sword. That the noble man who embodied the ideals of knighthood had been drowned in madness to such an extent... it was painful. What could she say to him? Even if her path was no longer one that attempted to erase her own part in history, her memories remained filled with regret.

"Hel... lo..."

But Lancelot was not alone.

The identity of the girl who he had arrived with was undeniable. While there were some who bore a surprising level of similarity to herself in this world, it was largely coincidental. There was only one person who had ever born not just a resemblance to her, but was identical down to the most minute details...

It was like looking in a mirror. Even if her hairstyle was a wild ponytail, just as it had been all those years ago. Even if she wore a far less conservative outfit.

There was no denying that the girl who stood before Arturia Pendragon was the one who referred to herself as her son. The one who rebelled against her.

Mordred.

It wasn't as if the King of Knights had never considered the possibility. There was no reason that Mordred, too, could not potentially be called by the summons of a Master.

And yet...

Her free hand reflexively curled into a fist. The last time she had seen Mordred...

"... Mordred."

The manner in which she spoke the girl's name was short, halting. It could have sounded cold, but the Saber-class Servant's voice was tinged with uncertainty.

Even now she had never truly blamed Mordred... or had she? Was it... Mordred had never had the attitude to be king. That was something she still held in her mind as fact. But at the same time... she had never consciously blamed Mordred for the fall of Camelot, even if seeing her again brought with it unpleasant memories and thoughts. It was not Mordred's fault. It had been her own. But simply because she had never thought to herself 'Mordred carries blame for Camelot's fall' was she really...

If she had subconsciously felt as such, did Mordred deserve it?

Did...

Berserker - Ibaraki-Douji

"Oh? I was a little disappointed when you got knocked flying like that," commented the oni, cocking her head to one side with that bloodthirsty grin still on her lips, "I thought I was up against someone really legendary. But you got back up quickly, so maybe there's still some fun to to be had?"

The small girl stepped forward, clawed, bare feet pressing down upon the earth beneath her as she advanced away from the crater left by the enemy Berserker's initial strike.

"Sometimes a rampage with no opposition is fun, but every once in a while, an oni wants to crush someone who puts up a fight!"

There was an explosion of fire, almost like the flare of a rocket, accompanied by a sound akin to the roar of a jet engine. Indeed, after a moment, those comparisons became even more apt as Ibaraki-Douji was lifted off her feet, the earth beneath her seeming to burn as she hurtled towards her opponent!

Interest!
"Hm, I see... in that case, I'm going to have to go and kick their ass," said the girl with the gauntlet, cracking her knuckles as she spoke, "Or at least give the creep a talking to, but I've got a feeling it won't be that easy, you know?"

She cocked her head towards Fuyuko. "I just got this really bad feeling when I saw them, the other girls I talked to said the same thing. There's something really wrong with whoever it is behind that mask."

She turned to leave, but then paused for a moment and turned to face Fuyuko once more.

"Oh, right, I'm Shining Fist!" declared the magical girl with a grin. It seemed like she switched between moods pretty quickly, given how fast she went from the angry to cheerful. "I know we're kinda-sorta enemies right now, but magical girls can be friends too, right?"

@LuckyBlackCat

"No no, I'm not talking about that," insisted Hina, waving her hand as she spoke, "You know what I'm talking about!"

She pointed squarely at Hanako. After a few moments of silence, Chise decided to step in and explain.

"... There's no point in playing dumb," she said, flatly, "Hina-chan's concept lets her smell magic, like a doggy."

"Wan!" came an enthusiastic interjection for Hina, which earned her a brief look from Chise.

"We know you're a magical girl, onee-san," Chise continued, a serious expression crossing her face, "And both of us are too. We were trying to see if the miko was one, but we found you instead."

A small smile crossed her lips.

"Are you ready to take us on? You won't win."

@Raineh Daze

The dust settled.

The shades were destroyed, each and every one of them torn apart. There was no risk of a single shade growing bloated on the power released by the destruction of its fellows.

Softly, slowly, the purple-haired magical girl brought her hands together and clapped. Her unfriendly grin was still worn on her lips.

"My my, you inefficiently slaughtered a swarm of garbage," she commented, her tone still considerably uncomplimentary, "However, your display was entertaining, I suppose. I shall give you the opportunity to contemplate my offer. However..."

She cocked her head.

"The outcome is the same no matter what decision you make: I will claim victory in the Hex Night, and there is nothing anyone can do to change that fact."

And with that, and a flash of purple light, the girl was gone.

"Reon's fire," Fanilly found herself saying under her breath. If even an illusory construct created by this witch could hurl such deadly magical attacks, there was no way of knowing just how dangerous she was if left to her own devices. If she could cast a spell powerful enough to melt the terrain into glass, then she could certainly do damage to the town if let loose there. They had to get back, if they couldn't find her...!

The drider hesitated for a moment. Even if her teacher had torn everything down in an instant, she still wasn't certain about saying anything. At least for a few moments.

"... There... there was someone she was waiting for," she said, finally, "The... the old tower near Brennan, um... I... I think humans used it as a watchtower a long time ago?"

The watchtower was the last remains of a fort that had been raised hundreds of years ago, by an orc raiding party. It was one of the last casualties of the raids, before they were finally beaten back, their leader slain. It had been used as a watchtower even after most of the fort was destroyed, only relatively recently having been abandoned to the elements due to the recent construction of a new fort.

"Are you certain?" Fanilly asked, taking a step towards the Drider, "If so... we can't lose any more time. That's far too close to Brennan!"

Indeed, Mae was still lingering near the fountain, though Rissia was no-where to be seen. The little girl seemed to be fretting, and every once in a while she'd call out for her puppy.

Around the tavern, a few people gave the knight calling out the name of a legendary heroine confused looks, but most went about their business. Much of said business included taking wood towards the walls, in order to further build up the town's fortifications in case of another raid by orcs. It was how they had been directed by the soldiers of Brennan and the Iron Rose knights themselves, and as such they were hardly going to ignore such a duty.

At first, it looked as if the search was going to prove fruitless... but then...

There was a space beneath part of the tavern, a raised deck in the front. Beneath it there was a small space, large enough, perhaps, for small animal to squeeze under. Such as a puppy.

If Fleuri took a moment to listen, he would even hear the sound of small yips in response to his calls...

Mihama Nanako

While Meltryllis seemed to express any approval she had in quite an irritable fashion, Nanako was at least glad that she seemed to be pleased on some level about the fact that Nanako was going to learn about this whole code casting thing. And Nanako was happy it was a way she could help her Servant, and... maybe try and break the ice between them a bit more. After all, if she was working to better support her, maybe that would help?

But right now, that wasn't the main thrust of the conversation. Complete access to the computer at the heart of Fusang... that was something extraordinary. Not that she'd have any idea of what to do if she was there: Nanako was fine with computers, but she doubted Fusang's mainframe would be anything like the home PC and smartphone she was used to. On the other hand...

"Er... BB-san seems like she's accessed the entire city's systems already... maybe," Nanako said, "She was able to get into my phone immediately without any problems. So, I think Holmes-san is right. She might just hide or set off some kind of distraction if we try to use the mainframe to find her."

She paused for a moment. Meltryllis wanted to find out what they'd be doing...

"... Maybe it would be best to head back home for tonight," she said, after a moment of consideration, "If BB-san calls again, I want to be ready this time and try to figure out as much as I can from what she says. She took me off-guard the first time, but I might be able to listen a little better now that I'm prepared!"

If nothing else, that would help, right?!

Kobayashi Seria

Mordred was squeezing her hand like that... aah, jeez, it was pretty embarrassing! What would someone looking on think? But at the same time, Seria wasn't trying to pull away. She could feel Mordred's pulse... she could tell how nervous her Servant was. The normally brash loudmouth was instead apprehensive about meeting her father again.

And this place... Seria recalled, some time ago, that a park like this had been made. The one who funded it had remained anonymous, but there was one thing that had been agreed upon when it was finished: It was the spitting image of the English countryside. Not only that, but the shimmering lake... it was as if a very specific location from a very specific period of time had quite deliberately been recreated.

"... I think I remember something about this place being built," she said, "That it really did get made to look like the English countryside. Maybe that's why Lancelot-san picked it...?"

Saber - Arturia Pendragon

When they arrived at the lakeside, the blonde knight's heart almost skipped a beat.

She hadn't realized this place was in Fusang. Not somewhere like this. Somehow she'd not learned of it.

This was not simply a park by a lakeside. It was as if it had been taken from a slice of Arturia Pendragon's memory. She could almost see the image of the Lady of the Lake emerging from the shimmering, glass-like water.

"... Ah... this place is..." Arturia trailed off, placing one hand to her chest. Regardless of how things had proceeded, of how they had ended... the view of this lake was still beautiful.

Had that been why Lancelot had picked it? Because of its resemblance-no, the manner it which it had seemingly replicated that lake? She couldn't imagine it wasn't the case. It was such a peaceful place. It had never ceased to be, had it? Even to the very end.

The King of Knights could not help but gaze out into the shimmering waters.

@Raineh Daze
@Ammokkx: I'm fine with that if Roxas is.
@Ammokkx@RolePlayerRoxas: I don't have much to do at the moment in the forest scene, the wolf-Shades are just being evasive and getting a bit stronger and Kagami is observing so feel free to execute your plan.
"... Aaaah... well, er..."

After a few moments, the silver-gauntlet magical girl scratched the back of her head with her other hand(clad only in a glove) awkwardly, letting out a some what embarrassed-sounding chuckle as she did.

"... See, er, you were just wandering around alone at night... so I kinda guessed," she said, finally. It was obvious she was now realizing what a silly decision that was, at the very least. "... It would've been pretty bad if you weren't, but you are, so it worked out fine, right?"

She grinned, her embarrassment seemingly forgotten, before leaping down off the top of the roof. There was a resounding clank when her armored feet touched the ground, and she crouched for a moment to absorb the fall before standing straight and approaching. Now her expression was serious once more.

"I don't know who the weird rabbit mask person is, but they're a total creep," she began, "Some other girls saw them looking in their windows. I'd say it's some freaky pervert, but the fact is they've only been doing it to magical girls. So I've got a feeling there's more to them then just being a freak."

She sighed.

"Did you see where they went?"

The Arena - Ibaraki-douji

The battle began. With blinding speed, the oni's opponent had already reached her, swinging... his?(Was that Guan Yu? Well, it didn't matter to Ibaraki, she'd beat anyone she came up against!) weapon down towards her almost immediately.

The horned girl grinned.

As the guandao tore through the air towards her, trailing a chilling mist into the air as it did, Ibaraki-douji's bone sword swung up to meet it. In anywhere but a city of Servants, this would have seemed insane: what appeared to be a little girl attempting to block the the attack of what appeared to be some sort of terrible ice armor creature by herself.

And yet, when the edge of the bone blade met the icy steel of the guandao, it held fast.

The impact certainly hit the oni's body, her knees bending slightly from the blow, but that grin upon her lips didn't falter. Instead, it widened, flames billowing behind the demonic girl as she planted one bare foot forward, firmly enough to crater the earth beneath her as she pushed her strength against her opponent's. And that strength was enormous: In spite of her apparent lucidity, it was clear Mad Enhancement had a profound effect on her capabilities.

Or perhaps such strength was simply an oni's natural capability.

Regardless of the truth, with a sudden burst of power Ibaraki shifted her enemy's weapon to the side, lashing out with her free hand to claw at her! Flames erupted from her lashing limb, wreathing it in fire as it tore through the air towards her icy opponent!

"Ah!"

The light had made Hikari flinch, just a little. Inwardly, she cursed herself.

She had just... aah, she'd gotten caught up in what she'd been doing and not even realized an attack from Tokiko was part of this! The diminutive girl almost wanted to chew her fellow magical girl out about it, complain about how it was hard to prepare for something like that when Tokiko had never stated she, too, was part of the barrier test. But the current redhead managed to restrain herself, at least for now. She had learned something valuable about her barrier, at least, that being just how powerful it really was.

That didn't stop her from letting out a huff, and nor did it prevent Hikari from glaring at Tokiko just a little as she listened to the more experienced magical girl. She didn't have to be happy about how things just went, even if she was trying not to complain about it.

Wait. She was supposed to just hit Eve? The monstergirl even seemed scared!

"Heh? Just... whale on her?" she asked, eyes drifting back to the living archetype as she spoke. After a few moments, though, Hikari began to really think it through. They were magical girls, and Eve was an archetype... that meant there was no way that this kind of blow would seriously hurt her, right?

"... Well, if you say so!" she declared, with a shrug. It would let Hikari vent some of her frustration, if nothing else... slowly, she raised her mallet back over her shoulder. In this less frantic scenario, she was able to recognize its form better: It looked almost like a firework launcher, the rear of the hammer decorated to look like the face of a dragon. Had that been why it had given her a boost, that it had fired a rocket blast out of it like a firework?

With a small shout, she swung the hammer forward. Almost immediately there was a whiff of gunpowder and a flash of brilliant light as an explosion erupted from the rear of the hammer. It rocketed forward, hurtling towards Eve with incredible force.

No matter how the monstergirl took the blow, it was immediately clear that Hikari's chief power was in her melee capabilities, an incredibly strong close-range offense via the blunt force of her hammer.

"It's still pretty! Not a lot of people have white hair when they're not old, you know?" Hina explained, as if to clarify her sudden interest in Hanako's hair, "You're like the little princess in Hisa-nee's manga!"

"You just mentioned that," Chise pointed out, with a small sigh, "... Onee-san reads such weird manga..."

After a moment, the black-haired little girl decided to attempt to address the older girl's question about their project.

"It's a project about our culture as Japanese people," she explained, quickly. Perhaps a little too hastily, it almost sounded like she was trying to quickly get out some kind of excuse and move on as swiftly as possible... but before she could try and continue along those lines, Chise fell silent.

"... Hina-chan," she asked, suddenly giving the brunette girl a very serious look, "Did you check?"

"Check...?"

For a moment, Hina looked bewildered, before suddenly having a look of realization dawn on her face. Without another moment's pause, rather confusingly, the girl with the side ponytail began sniffing at the air, almost like a dog would.

"... So that's it!" she declared, suddenly. Before Chise could ask her just what 'it' was, however, Hina's attention was fixed on Hanako.

"Let's go outside to finish our talk," continued the brunette, "Magical girl."

@Raineh Daze

What Fuyuko encountered was not a shade.

No, there was soon the sound of footsteps on a nearby rooftop. Thankfully, any chance of it being an ambush was rather quickly dispelled.

"Oiiii! Oiiii!"

The source of the voice was a magical girl. She was of average height, with short hair. Currently, it was a bright, silver shade, almost looking metallic from the way it seemed to gleam. In terms of her features, she was fairly pretty, with silver eyes that matched her hair, and a slightly tomboyish look. She work a long jacket and shorts, with thigh-high socks and boots that, on closer inspection, seemed to be armored. But the most striking feature was what was on her right arm.

It was a thick, complex silver gauntlet, one that appeared to be made of up a number of different mechanisms. If Fuyuko had been closer, she may have heard a faint whirring sound from it.

"Hey!" called the girl, "I'm not interested in a fight, okay? I was just wondering, have you seen some weirdo in a rabbit mask? Wearing a suit?"
