Qxát Tsìçẹtshẹ (Vutsian Gunpowder)

Qxát Tsìçẹtshẹ (Vutsian: Dirt for Burning), sometimes shortened to Qat by non-Vutsians, is Vuts' indigenous form of gunpowder. Qat is distinctive in it's light brown, slightly reflective coloring. The Vutsians first started experimenting with combinations of sulfur, cedar ash, and nitrates around the same time that gunpowder was becoming widespread on the mainland. Believed to be a product of the final, brutal closing period of the Warring Times, Qat exists as an alternative to the more widespread Karikabuum. Functionally, Qat is noted to burn slower than Karikabuum and seems to produce slightly more accurate shots with less damage done to the gun barrels. However, it is noticeably much more expensive and difficult to produce than the cheaper Orcish alternative, and as a result, finds little use in actual armies, with Vutsian's selling far more Karikabuum than Qat.

K'òqu (Vutsian Oak)

The K'òqu is a kind of oak tree that has been cultivated by the Vutsians even before their arrival in the Vutsian Isles. The tree is known for its very rapid maturity rate, 1 year is all that is needed before the small tree can produce high amounts of very large acorns, which are harvested and ground into flour for use in cooking. The full grown tree is about as tall as the average full grown Vutsian male (5'3" or 160.02 cm), and can produce 20 Bushels of Acorns in a single month.

K'òquhọ Vàs (Acorn Flour)

K'òquhọ Vàs (Vutsian: Child of the Oak) is the staple food of the Vutsians. Created from milled Acorns, the flour finds its use primarily as Acorn Bread or in Acorn Porridge. Vutsians are known to mix the flour with whole oat for texture and added nutrition. As a result, many a Vutsian is nostalgic over eating Acorn and Oat porridge with fruit chunks for breakfast as a child. The Acorn has religious meanings for the Vutsians as well, as the Acorn is seen as a symbol of life, and as a result, it is common for families to leave acorns as offerings to their anecestors.

Forest Eagle

The Forest Eagle is a massive Predatory Bird known for preying on other large creatures that inhabit the Lesser Inhabited areas of Vuts. The Females are larger than the males, with female eagles in the range of 10–15 kg (22–33 lb) and males around 9–12 kg (20–26 lb) and a wingspan up to 2.6 m (8.5 ft). They are are held in high regard and feared by the Vutsians, and as a result, the Vutsians will avoid entire sections of forests out of fear of them. The Eagles are one of Vuts primary apex predators, and their size is generally held to be a result of their island homes.

Herding Bird

The Hearding Bird is a primary source of livestock for the Vutsians. Giant animals, they fill a niche similar to mainland Cattle. Vutsians raise them on ranches, and let them graze on insects and grass. As they are frequent victims of Eagle Attacks, the Vutsian's usually keep domesticated Hawks nearby to protect them.

Actually making it a slower burning gunpowder would make it more preferable for artillery than guns. Also burn speed and power aren't exactly related so you can make this somewhat more powerful and work as a rocket, artillery or bomb filler more popular with wealthier customers. Also I didn't plan Karikabuum to be the most popular form of gunpowder. It's an alternative to more classic gunpowdwer (AKA the black powder) which is likely the one which is more widespread. Karikabuum's advantage is that it's relatively intolerant to weather and a skilled shaman can make low grade Kaboom by just taking a trip to the nearby forest. The latter reason why it was made popular for Mongorks who often couldn't afford to carry much gunpowder, supplies or much less the heavy artillery around. They often foraged stuff and made their own gunpowder on site and used rockets and wooden cannons with stone balls in siege until reinforcements arrived.

The rest are fine, albeit I am going to merge the acorn trees with your acorn flour lore.

As I said anyone can feel free to write the first IC post.
I work on mine or more like I am throwing it away for the third time and trying to come up with a better plot.
For example what if one of the sub-plot is the Mongorks leading a raid against someone?
I mostly thought of @POOHEAD189 or @Hyperdrive since unlike my north-eastern neighbors they aren't grouped together and in Poohead's faction we even agreed on mutual raids from both of us at the borders.

I just feel that starting with a battle is a nice and relatively fresh way to start the IC than the usual politics-ladden intro.

@ClocktowerEchosI think I did but for now I am focusing on other things. The point is that I don't want things to be all about magic or amazing rare elements.
But I think that's how most of us feel anyways.
I might talk with you regarding certain details later but it isn't that of big problem now.

@Willy Vereb I know you're busy with life and the IC but I was wondering if my nation sheet was accepted or not.

I am actually stuck with IC. I was busy and what time I had I couldn't think of a way which is deserving for a good start.
Perhaps I should log on to chatzy again and fish for some nation relations so I can get a better story hook.
On the other hand I am not hogging the first IC post to myself, anyone is free to do it. Again, this is a narrative based NRP. My job is to manage things rather than direct the entire game. The ones in control of the game are all of us at once.

Anyways, I am sorry but I have yet to read your profile in full. But from what I read it's good. Besides do you think I'd allow you to post up your NS if I was not fine with your nation?
