So many writing ideas, so little time to write. Being an adult sucks...

Mk here's the pretty-much-finalized version of my location:

Fixed it so it fulfills the "village" requirement--10 types, 3 items, 3 legendaries. @zarkun if you're going dragon, I hope you have a nice theme going because I think I've pretty much taken up the dragon-mountain one 0_0

Oh, mine was just a mountain Village, not a full range.

EDIT: REALLY tall mountain with a village on it. Volcano would work.

But today is Sunday...

Sunday...

Evening...

(Im trying to be patient damnit :P It's hard sometimes)

I know, believe me. Pestering them doesn't make it faster though.
@Leslie Hall & @Expolar? Guys?

(Jeezus Ik Im pestering the hell out of you guys, but can I have some form of notification on how things are going? Rather have a response then simple silence).

I believe time frames were given. I know it's difficult, but just be patient. They'll get to it. As I recall, Ex said...Sunday?
@Zarkun My apologies for any potential malefic implications with my wording. You can be sure that wasn't my intention; I was merely stating that Oblivion is particularly nice to me. What you're saying makes sense to me. Just as you weren't implying that my stuff needed to miss, however, I was not implying that everything needed to hit; just that a little give and take would make for a more fair and thus interesting fight. I also didn't get the impression that you were ignoring me. In your case specifically, I was just surprised at how quickly your characters reached the top.

<Snipped quote by CirusArvennicus>

No, they were meant completely as an active threat.

So the both of you know, my Unison Raid wasn't a very complicated attack. It's pretty much 'suddenly, big hot spikes' and that's about it. They will not continue to rise, and nor will they explode, or anything like that. By the next time I post, the Tectonic Blades attack spell is completely over, and they'll be nothing more than hazards should someone happen to fall from the sky. Which may be happening soon, given the number of people converging on the tower.

I can't name the source material, but a wise man once said only a fool is slow in times of battle.

That would make me feel a little bit better about what would otherwise be a near-complete waste of time and IC resources.

<Snipped quote by Zarkun>

In your earlier post, the last mention of the ascent up was when Jake made the platform to use as an elevator. You didn't even say that the trio hopped on. There was no indication of where exactly they were in the ascent, but given that the tower was floating quite a way up (hundred feet or more), it wasn't exactly a hop, skip, and jump away.

<Snipped quote by Oblivion666>

You posted after I made my complaint, silly, so of course you did. Still, I can always count on you to afford my actions some respect, and I thank you for it.

I also never gave any indication of how fast they were ascending either. That said, I don't feel that every character taking a hit is necessary RIGHT then. Unless these blades were incredibly and tightly packed to begin with, a large scale attack like that just isn't realistically guaranteed to hit something regardless. I am not saying you should automatically miss, not even coming close to it by any means, I am saying that misses should be expected and that in many cases, perhaps other writers, as I did with Dragon Fang and intend to do with Damian, though there is more time for bad things to happen as you didn't specify whether or not they'd stopped rising yet, to trade the danger of a Unison Raid for facing the remainder member of the guild.

I must also raise a minor issue with your wording in the last part of the post. You imply no one else pays you heed or mind, which I know is not what you intended when you said it, but phrasing is important. There are a lot of less kindly inclined people on this forum when they see things like that, I just happen to not be one of them.

And now onto the conclusion of this: Different writers are going to handle things different ways. Very rarely will we get the reactions we want. Hell, I imagine things would have been about the same had Damian used a similar spell if things were progressing a different way than they were. The best we can do is wait and see what their ultimate reaction is.

I apologize for if I have addressed things incorrectly, and feel free to inform me if there is a point I make that you disagree with. I also apologize if it seems like I was ignoring the attack. That was not meant to be the case.
Corporal James Hunt|Battle of Vasel

James had been leading his fireteam behind the tank when he heard the telltale sound of artillery shells falling. And unfortunately, he had no way to warn Snider. "OFF THE STREET NOW!" He tackled the person next to him down and hoped the other two listened. He scrambled for a doorway and kicked it open, pulling his tackled fire team member inside. As the artillery rained down, he watched the tank flip and listened for something, anything, from it's commander and the others under his command. Soon enough, radio chatter came in and he frowned. Snider and his crew needed help, but he wasn't going to let any one else get hurt. "This is Corporal Hunt to all Gallian units that can hear me. Keep pressing the attack and stay in cover. I'll get our downed tanker and his crew." Rushing out at the end of his address, he scooped up Snider first and got him inside, realizing for the first time that the person he'd tackled was none other than Fairglaive. Thank the Valkyrur.

"Start patching him up, I'll be back." He ran back out, avoiding the artillery and getting blown up by the Valkyrur's grace only. Reaching the tank once more, he climbed inside and started working on freeing the other two tankers.
To be fair, Dragon Fang was already scrambling to get inside XD
@LuckyBlackCat

Tommy nodded in agreement and soon they were within sight of quaint little cottages and shops and restaurants. Already Tommy spotted two or three that looked like he would be able to get some more travel money performing in for a couple of days between trips out into the forest for a new friend or two. After a short amount of exploring and reluctant direction asking on the part of Tommy, the Pokecenter stood in front of them. "I'll probably take a few extra minutes longer than you will to get settled. Need to send a letter to mom and dad letting them know I made it to Feyhallow alright. Meet in front of that waffle house we saw on our way in in, say...twenty minutes?"
Jake Ronan, Ammy Silver, Hunter Jorgenson|Crocus City

Even as the nullification magic passed through the platform, Jake re-energized it and used it to flip the trio up onto one of the knuckles before even his quick re-control got shut down. He took quick stock of the situation before nodding to himself and turning to Hunter. "Think you could blow us an entrance here? Front door's probably a bad idea." The Jade Dragon Slayer nodded with a grin and one of his jade covered fists impacted the wall to the left of Hyun, Indigo, and Plum, causing it to shake, but not breaking through even as the Unity Raid passed by. Frowning, the fist came back again and flew forwards, once more impacting the wall with a dull thud. The wall cracked this time, but still did not budge. By this point, the obsidian blades rose towards the trio of Dragon Fang mages quickly.

"Hunter, now would be a good time." Hunter didn't respond, but with a bellow, slammed both fists into the wall and blowing it inwards, finding himself tackled inwards by his friends as the far reaching edges of the blades sliced the air where'd they'd been moments before. Picking themselves up, the group of wizards found itself facing off with two Indigos and Hyun, though it didn't phase them. Jake inclined his head slightly, his hand axes becoming Alexander's Battle Ax.

"Ladies."

Damian Gerard|Crocus City

The moment he'd seen the sparks fall, he no longer waited for Joshua to respond, a Striker Blade coming to life and the young swordsman finding himself behind Damian as the magical blade jetted towards the now stationary tower while hugging low to the ground. It was when the blades began erupting from the ground that he found himself swerving side to side, expertly controlling the flying blade around the sharp turns. As the pair flew, Nolan's voice came over the communication lacrima and Damian pulled out his. "Find a way inside the tower, doesn't matter how at this point. I've got not point of reference with all these damn blades popping up. Bastards stole my spell style. Anyways, get past Hyun and get inside, Josh and I will meet you there." Storing it again, he switched direction and tore upwards at a sharp angle, turning and heading for the tower.

As they flew, a series of orange blades formed around Damian, multiplying exponentially before sailing towards the tower. "Soaring Wall of Blades!" They wouldn't actually cause any damage, but they would hopefully conceal Damian and Joshua so the latter could cut them a way into the tower. Keeping all their opponents busy would be difficult, but they needed to stop all the ranged spells from happening if any of their flying friends were to get close.
