Damian Gerard|The Calm Before the Storm

Damian's path through Magnolia to the guild hall could be described as meandering, since he was in no particular hurry to get there and he had somethings to think about. He had noticed it during the Games, his own magic beginning to grow and change in a way he couldn't quite place, along with what he thought might be dormant magic in his gift from Hemlock, as he had noticed that certain slices made with Durandal carried a certain visible purple energy, and the wounds inflicted by it to Hyun during their match had seemed to also carry a touch of poison. It was almost certainly something he'd have to investigate before he put too much more use to the great sword. Still, as he stopped to look over the leftover Christmas candies for sale in a shop window, he decided that stopping use of the sword all together would be both foolish and an insult to the passed Dragon, who had raised a member of Phoenix Wing as his own.

Waving at the shop owner as he walked away, he smiled to himself. Phoenix Wing had proven to be a good choice in the end, even if they weren't always the best liked or most highly thought of by both the general populace and their fellow guilds. Given time, as the guild hall finally came into view, Damian hoped that all the guilds would, to some degree, be able to get along and even work together on a larger scale. Pushing the door open and closing it behind him, the Blade of Phoenix Wing spotted the person he'd been hoping would be there and quietly snuck up on her, tickling her sides and saying, "Boo." He then realized that both Mayt and Ariel were there, though the former was slowly walking away, and smiled at the pair. "Mayt, Ariel, good to see you both."

James Hunt|A Student's Tribulation

James had spent the morning, before even the sun was up, training. He worked through forms, attacks, spells, and physical training, all designed to push him to his limit and then some. He had begun to feel his magic power growing and his abilities changing in subtle ways he couldn't quite nail down. As he entered the main area of the guild, in his armor as always, and spotted his student sitting at a table with some food and drink with what looked to be a job request in front of him. Raising an eyebrow, the Paladin approached Cody and took a seat across from him. "So you finally decided on a job to put all the practice into use?"

Hunter Jorgenson|Striking While it’s still Hot

Hunter grinned, but didn't move to attack, only seemed to take stock of his opponent. He knew that she liked to use a fair number of different constructs from her Glass Make magic, but he didn't know how her martial skill was compared to his own or even Jackie's, as he hadn't let them continue fighting long enough to get a feel for it. So, he decided to go with what was the chosen opening for a couple of different famous Dragon Slayers from history. Encased in Jade, the Dragon Slayer's Steel Fist technique shot straight forwards towards Aria's midriff, testing her reflexes.
It volunteered to try a new computer friendly coffee. Turns out it wasn't computer friendly enough XD
We're still moving, but yeah, it was the coffee that's prevented me from posting.

As the wooden sword came towards James' head, the Nightstalker spun below the intended path of the feint and, subsequently, if unintentionally, avoiding the kick as well. Coming back to a ready position, the knife held in a reverse position, he spotted the pillar of sliding stone coming towards him the same as he heard it and quickly dove away from his opponents to avoid being crushed by the weight of it. As it was, he was still trying to figure out what kind of world or planet or universe existed that a guy could take a bullet to the chest and still keep walking, jumping, and attacking like he'd never been shot at all. Summoning a voidwall grenade, the Guardian tosses into the area between Steve and Slayer, the horizontal wall of purple Void Flames exploding into existence and speeding towards both of them.

James chased the cat with intent to intercept at a given notice, one hand resting near the Imago Loop when he took a change of wall in his pursuit to maintain a line of sight. The sudden tossing of the bomb had the Guardian throwing up an arm to catch any shrapnel that cleared the gap, only for Charger to indicate the thief had thrown a smoke bomb. He had intended to respond to the anthropomorphic Fox when the voice crackled through into his ears, but the need to maintain pursuit of the thief kept him quiet. Leaping over the smoke and wall with the use of his double jump, the Nightstalker landed at a roll before coming back to his feet and continuing his sprint.

The chase, as it were, eventually lead out of the castle grounds and into the city proper, where the cat thief used the surrounding terrain to attempt to shake his pursuers, though it seemed to be less than effective for those of the more agile breed such as himself and Fox. Though while the ace pilot opted to try and gain ground on the cat, James moved to set up to maintain a line of sight. A building across from where the cat landed after stealing Naija's armor, provided James with the positioning he needed after he made sure the fishgirl was not going to go ka-splat and another funeral held.

Approaching the edge, he pulled the Stillpiercer free of it's place on his back and kneeled down, using the slightly raised lip to brace against as he scoped up. The cat thief wasn't hard to see now that he had pretty much shaken pursuit to his knowledge and the Nightstalker maintained his height advantage after the cat had left the roofs. He waited until the thief had disappeared into Mama's before setting up again, scoping up and grimacing at the sight of the overweight man gorging himself inside. "Oh that's nasty as hell. And I thought the Hive was as ugly as it got." For once, his Ghost companion agreed without a big long lead up to why.

"That is indeed disgusting. How is it people like that exist when-" James immediately tuned out his companion as he started in on one of his rants and focused back at the task at hand as the other chasers arrived, or at least those who weren't on vehicles. While he admittedly couldn't hear any of what was being said, he could make a guess as to what was being conversed about by reading the fat bastard's lips like he did with Zavala when he was tired of the Titan's incessant nagging and turned on music to silence his voice. After a couple of minutes, Fox's voice came through a second time.

“Is anyone else getting this? It’s the Wario Brothers. They’re holed up in Mama’s, threatening to blow the block if their demands aren’t met. Send backup. Do not engage.” Smiling behind his helmet, he opened a response channel to the pilot.

"This is James Varrock. I'm set up on a rooftop across from the restaurant with my sniper rifle. So far as I can tell, I've not been seen. Give the word and I can put a hole in the fat bastard's gullet and arm before he realizes what's happened."

Are you alive?

I am and I should be posting today. I am so sorry for not posting sooner, but I have been either busy or unable to get access to a computer. If the people who need me to reply to them could either mention me in a post here or like this one, I will find our interaction and reply to it appropriately.
Should be posting either tonight or tomorrow.
I should be able to post later today.
Not sure how detailed you guys want to get with this. If you want to have a legit conversation, I could pull us all into a group PM that we can post later. We've got a bit of time to kill, I think, since we still need to wait on Zark to get his computer back and Ninja to find some time to post.

I'm actually waiting on either Lennon to move us forward or the guy who arrived with the supplies to post.

James had been waiting at the location for the arena for awhile, mainly cleaning his weapons in preparation and readying his knife by sharpening it. Once they called everyone together for their matches, James took his position and waited until the participants for the survivor match were called and when he stepped out, he found himself facing off against one of the suit wearing guy from their mission to Odinsphere and a guy who looked to literally be made from living blocks. Charger's voice quickly spoke out for only James to hear. "Remember our cloak and suit wearing friend over there can deliver some seriously damaging blows in melee, so if you HAVE to use your knife on him, try to keep to your specialty, speedy and accurate. And also avoid taking a hit if you can." James opened his mouth to reply when the call to fight was given and the man made of blocks attacked by...

"Stone blocks? Really? This is ridicu-" Instinct took over as James leaped away from the block that Blockman put in front of him, the Imago Loop flying free of it's holster and peppering the odd man with fire. None of it was overly accurate, so it was unlikely any of the shots hit, and he only watched as the block person made a tower out of more stone blocks. Charger hummed thoughtfully, analyzing this particular opponent, while the Nightstalker swapped from his hand cannon to his sniper rifle and leaped further back before scoping up on the fellow. "Don't need to catch ya mate. Just wait." Charger had predicted that the person would likely make a jumping attack of some kind to cause heavy damage with the sword and, sure enough, Blockman did just that. Predicting his trajectory of travel, James fired a single round from the Stillpiercer, aimed center mass on the falling man of blocks, before smoothly placing the rifle back on his back and drawing his knife.

When Blockman reached the Guardian, James would catch his arms, fall on his back and kick off, sending the block-formed man sailing further through the air as he rolled back onto his feet and spun to face him. "You want to make this a melee? I can do that." After all, Hunters prided themselves on their knife fighting skills along with their gunslinging skills.
