[NAME]Corrosion
[GENDER]Male
[AGE]24
[APPEARANCE][PERSONALITY]Corrosion is one of those people who feels that the world owes them something, that they should never be told what to do by someone else, that nothing is their fault and it's always someone else who isn't treating them the way they want to be treated. The reasons for his behavior are manifold, but he also shows several signs of antisocial disorder and it's clear that he doesn't comprehend the mindset of a sane, average person. He has a severe hatred of heroes and cops, and feels that they "abuse the rights of free citizens," and are inherently corrupt. Corrosion is also an incredibly stubborn and determined individual, who would rather "go down fighting," than be captured, or even make a retreat. When interacting with others, he takes on a "with me or against me" mentality, and makes impulsive and prejudiced judgments.
[BACKSTORY]Corrosion was born as John Takahashi, of mixed heritage, though his father quickly abandoned the family when he found out his girlfriend was pregnant. His mother tried to do the best she could for him, growing up, but the boy who would become a villain was full of anger and bitterness at both his father and the world. He started getting into trouble in school at a young age, and kept up his delinquency through the years until he eventually formed his own gang. He and the other misunderstood young men of his neighborhood went wild every night, and Corrosion eventually dropped out of school entirely and got involved in the drug trade, mostly as a runner for bigger, more powerful groups.
At first, his gang knew better than to shit where they ate, so to speak, and they did a good job of keeping their own neighborhood safe from violence. But as they got older, and Corrosion amassed more influence and decided that he would actively become a villain, the gangs' activities got worse and the neighborhood decided they didn't want them around more. Through police and professional hero intervention, Corrosion's first gang was broken up, many of them imprisoned. So he moved on, and found a new crew, and even a new right-hand man--a young kid with a lot of potential, named Tatsumi Oshiro.
But Corrosion had decided to use the foot he had in the drug trade's door to go full-blown dealer. At first it was just the easy stuff, just weed and illegal cigarettes. But of course that wasn't enough. The thing was, when he decided to go harder, Tatsumi threw a fit. The disagreement the two had resulted in a fight, and at the time Corrosion was the better Quirk user. He managed to force Tatsumi to do things his way, but the two never saw eye to eye again even though Corrosion actually did try to patch things up, viewing Tatsumi as too valuable to lose. Then came the night they all got involved in a big gang fight, and after that Tatsumi abandoned everything--all his friends, his old neighborhood, everything--to go to some swanky hero school. And Corrosion never forgave him for it.
[QUIRK]Acid Sweat - Corrosion has the ability to secrete a form of acid from his skin, which when applied to surfaces or people begins to rapidly burn through or break down materials. Corrosion himself is immune to the effects of his own acid, and can adjust its viscosity to make it into sticky globs to be used for a variety of purposes.
Within his limitations, he can produce acids that, at their strongest, can eat through clothing in less than a second and severely burn flesh within a minute. If given enough time, the acid is even strong enough to eat through concrete. He can also make it as sticky as gum, and as elastic as high quality rubber.
[SKILLS AND TECHNIQUES]Acid Drop - Corrosion adjusts the viscosity of the acid he produces to make it into sticky goo, which he can mold into spheres and throw at opponents. The goo will bounce, but only once, due to its sticky properties canceling out some of its elastic ones. Afterwards it sticks to a target and, depending on the strength of the impact and the splatter size, becomes increasingly hard to remove. It burns all the while.
Acid Whip - Corrosion produces long drips of elastic goo from his fingertips, then uses it to constrict or lash an enemy. The burning acid makes being lashed with this makeshift weapon like being flagellated with a cat of nine tails.
Acid Pads - Corrosion can coat himself in the acid without harm, allowing him to either stick to surfaces, or shield his body with a rubbery barrier.
Acid Stream - Corrosion sprays liquid acid from his palms. Within a range of about 10 meters, this attack can be extremely dangerous to his targets.
Acid Bubbles - Corrosion makes an Acid Drop, but then blows air into it, producing a floating mine of sorts. Anything that touches it will cause the bubble to pop, spraying acid on anything its immediate vicinity.
[LIMITS]Body Temperature - Acid Sweat is literally formed from Corrosion's sweat. While in normal temperature ranges he can generate it easily due to control of the quirk, and in hot temperatures using it becomes even easier, in cold temperatures he cannot produce it at all unless he manages to raise his body heat somehow.
Base Exposure - By exposing him to strong bases, Corrosion's power can be canceled out completely, either leaving him with non-corrosive, sticky globs of putty or else disabling the power completely depending on the strength of the base.
Walking Danger - Once he starts using his power, Corrosion has to be careful of what he touches and even what he wears, as his own acid will begin burning through it if he's not careful. Unfortunately, he's not the thinking type and thus doesn't take his environment into account very often when using his power. If you can use the environment against him, your chances of defeating him are much higher.
Dilution - By submerging him or soaking him with water, Corrosion's acid can be diluted to the point where it cannot harm anyone, so long as they don't drink it. It also temporarily keeps him from producing more, as the water will lower his body temperature and stop him from sweating for a period of time.
Evaporation - By using wind or heat to cause evaporation of the acidic liquid, the substance turns into a noxious smelling, but ultimately harmless gas as it reacts with the air. Still, this limit only really counts for half credit, as Corrosion can still use it as a smoke screen or to try and stun or suffocate someone with the foul smell.
Time Limit - After being separated from his body, the acid will disperse by itself, harmlessly being absorbed by its surroundings within an hour. However, that's plenty long enough for it to burn its way through many materials and flesh, so this limit only counts for half credit.
