I don't know. It still just feels over powered to me, but maybe i'm being picky. I will accept it.

Yes, bu a 1 percent chance is close enough to 0 that frankly, I would find it highly lucky if he did find a dark guild. The best analogy I can come up with is that it's like Toy Story-You might be suspect that they can move, but you never catch them at it.

Dedication, and knowledge that they exist would get you far. But again, you'd have to suspect the area's that they are in and know where to go, or what to look for. And unless he as able to provide a reason why they should have let him go, chances are he'd still be in a dark guilds custordy.

You forgot to append "If they even let him live" and "After they torture and interrogate him."

If you're trying to be secret, you're going to make it a very negative experience for everyone who wants to find you, and even more so for those who did.

In Dark times, Dark people approach you, not the other way around, and that's... Very unlikely.

My personal headcannon is that the Dark Guilds during the "dark times" of magic knew each other, had active communication, maybe occasionally let members switch guilds, and probably some level of dynastic memberships. Eg, for a long time Iron Enigma had very little influx of "new blood", which is why they're only thirty members strong including Melina and most of those members are children of members or parents of members.

Well, he's encountered one Dark Guild if I'm remembering this properly. He didn't encounter the whole Guild either, but instead just one of its members. The reason he encountered this Guild member is because someone with a grudge against him joined said Dark Guild and convinced this Guild member to try and apprehend him. The reason she likely used to convince this individual was that Dornae was carrying a magical tome (which due to the fact that they'd be ultra rare would make one VERY valuable). Dornae did not succeed in fighting him, he succeeded in escaping, which is considerably more reasonable since he was dealing with one person, not the whole guild.

The other time he was searching for a Dark Guild actually failed. Instead he found the criminal underground of a particular city as he thought it would be a likely candidate for finding a Dark Guild. Most people would be too cautious to look into that sort of thing since as it's rather dangerous to so. He didn't get too far in that case and ended up having Emiru, a hired Dark Mage (criminal mage. She is not a member of a Dark Guild...or at least wasn't at the time) chase after him. While she was stronger than him, her contract did not extend outside of that instance. His looking into this has earned him two enemies.

One he doesn't even know about who is influential and dangerous. The other he knows about (the Dark Mage), but who is not terribly good at tracking people down.

So yeah. It's not like his looking for Dark Guilds hasn't had consequences either. He's earned all three of his enemies because of his looking into that sort of thing. A fourth one if you count his Ex, Natalia. Granted, she joined a Dark Guild, rather than having already been in one. If her having joined one is problematic, I can just as well have her already have been part of one.

Also, I am working on the magic thing I mentioned. Even if you don't need it, I'll use it to help me keep things balanced. It'll mean it's harder, but not impossible, for me to accidentally do something OP. It'll also make the magic more interesting since I'll have more limitations that I have to work around in battle. Aka I'll have to rely on tactics more, which I enjoy anyways.

@Caits Wasn't Sasha concerned about Amelia? She seems to be rather chill now. Though Jarvis did show up so that might be understandable.

WHAT criminal underground? Never have I, nor anyone else, mentioned a criminal underrground, and if there was such a thing, the Royal guard and capital Solders would have destroyed it as a potentially magical taking. It seems that you are making things up that do not fit in the story. While that normally works, in this case it doesn't

As for this person that has a grudge on him joining a dark guild, THAT doesn't seem possible. As Burth Said, the dark guild would have had to approach this candidate and get them to join, but probably wouldn't have trusted them enough yet to allow them to send another member after your character. Again, it seems like you are changing things to suit what you want. The only way that would work if, IF the guy that had a grudge on him created his own dark guild.

AND AS FOR A CRIMINAL DARK MAGE, not affiliated with any guild, I doubt they would have lasted long by themselves, as they would have been apprehended by people like Jamie and Jarvis, who wish to get magic respected and believed in once more, or the Royal guard.

I really am not trying to be picky, but some things just don't fit in the story line. You have to understand, people were terrified of any mages after the zeref/slayers incident. Any sign of magic would have been destroyed, and there probably were enough killings to discourage any magical uprising.

Yes, she's still worried. Don't worry. Now that she feels that amelia is safe enough, she can think on other things.

You seem to be. Just you're misinterpreting the signals!

But. It's a mute point because there's no three-post rule right now.

So no worries.

The criminal underground thing came less from me "making things up," and more from me thinking: In a realistic world, there is organized crime even though we have tech (considerably more advanced than FT, though they have magic and we don't) so there's probably a seldom seen or talked about underground in FT.

Hell, the fact that Dark Guilds exist is almost the equivalent of a criminal underground, except they use illegal magic or do illegal things with magic whereas in real life illegal things are done with guns, melee weapons, tech, and drugs. I see no reason why those things wouldn't exist. Especially if there are people in fear and especially if the Zeref/slayer incident had such an effect on the people, which it clearly did. Plus if the Kingdom has people that can counter magic, there's really no reason other people wouldn't have found ways around it. If you have 100 years for crime to exist in any manner, then you're going to have crime that knows how to deal with authority.

HOWEVER, this is YOUR RP. I am new. If you state that, for whatever reason even if I disagree with it, there is practically no significant criminal presence, I will accept it even though it'll mean I have to find a totally new explanation for whole sections of my CS. I get it. I've GMed plenty in my day. I'm not trying to be a difficult player, honest.

I just maybe went into more detail than I should have....

The simple fact of the matter is, even without magic, there were soliders well dealt in dealing with it, and in keeping crime off the streets, underground or otherwise. They would have put a stop to it. I'm not saying that crime didn't exist, but large things like criminal undergrounds would have been broken up, for fear that it was a guild in the making again. Essentially, it's been 100 years of war. Until something changed, and magic was....okay.

It's hard to go into detail, and find the right balance when not everything is known, and this is intentially on my behalf. partly, because yes, I took this roleplay over when it seemed to reach a stopping point in the original roleplay. I have tried to make this my own, while staying to the original context. I always haven't been able to write everything I want, regarding history, without destroying potential story lines, and this has been a work in progress for the last several months, when it became clear that this was a roleplay to stay, and I started to put more effort into it, and into creating a site for it. I have hhad several plans, drafts and storys mapped out, that can't be released until I'm sure that they won't spoil anything, and am near having everything I want for the history revealed. It's coming.

I appreciate the work you have put into it, and I do accept it, but I just want you to understand that creating things that can't necessarily be possible just yet can upset the history of the roleplay as well as the roleplay itself, particularly if I have to re-write the history just for one person-which I'm not going to do. I've tried to write the history to involve every player, but alas, that isn't possible at times. As I can't reveal everything. Yet.

Go ahead and fix things up, then post it into the character tab.

Very well. I'll figure out a way to integrate Emiru and Garin into his history another way. Luckily I didn't write his history as a narrative, but instead used bullet points, which are far easier to edit.

As a note Emiru is the solo Dark Mage I mentioned. The main reason she's able to operate the way she does is because her magic is something like "Familiar magic," in that she uses another creature to fight. As such, she can keep herself largely out of the public eye. She's a known criminal, yes, but she is not known by her name or face. She's counted among Dornae's enemies because he's seen her face. Dornae unfortunately has not thought "maybe I should draw her and give the picture to authorities so she can be apprehended."

I actually planned to bring her in as a second character at some point. For now though, she's just an NPC. I'll discuss her personally with you to see if we can make her more viable rather than me put a similar amount of detail in and then get stressed because I didn't ask the right questions haha ^^;

Thank you for being understanding and tolerant by the way. I know I can be a bit difficult to deal with at times.

<Snipped quote by yoshua171>
Well, he still has the emblem, *cough future plot point cough* but technically he is not in a guild. Currently, he and Valak are in the stands watching the games. Valak just left for food. Although, I am going off the assumption that Ferrin won't share his origins easily. So, fair warning.

Well if it was easy that just wouldn't be any fun, now would it? :P
