After Renard spoke to to Pheabe, he turned his head back to Peter, That is what makes up the difference between a sidekick and hero! A hero never stops his training or gives up when all looks bleak." He said while puffing up his chest and lowering his voice into a 'hero voice.' and balling his fists and placing them on his hips while looking passed Peter for a pose for effect.

He looked back to Pheobe as she realized they spoke to her. He nodded his head when she said she was thinking up some ideas. Peter went on to throw a few ideas out for her... his last one made Renard slap his own face. Did he not realize how bad shooting a cherry with a slingshot into a mouth was? "That's a surefire way to cause death by choking." He said muffled behind his hand.

letting his hand fall he looked to Pheobe."Admittedly I don't have any bright ideas to add to the table. But I'm sure you've thought of some good stuff for it already."

He looked away when he heard Gabby say something about something but he didn't hear what she said. This was about the time Freya came onto the bus. Suddenly having another accident as she stubbed her foot and fell over. He stood up as he winced, about to go help her with knowing her hand was hurt from the training. But when she gripped her hand and asked about the salt he froze. The flash of a memory of him tossing a salt packet over his shoulder over his shoulder flashing through his mind.

He turned in his seat and started to unzip his bag for his bottle of water. He stopped when he heard Eira speak up. He looked back at her as she mentioned said to make one guess. Finding her cold disapproving eyes looking at him. His shoulders dropped slightly as he turned away from her to his bag, pulling the bottle from one of the pockets. He heard peter getting up and glanced to see him with his med kit going to help Freya.

Eira then suddenly blew up about them being ridiculous... while punching the chair in front of her twice afterwards. He looked back at her confused and surprised at the outburst. Clearly something else was eating at her. While he always understood she was cold and snappy...it wasn't really ok to snap at everyone like that. She was always so serious about becoming a hero. So serious, it was causing her to miss the mark entirely. He glanced to Gabby as she tried to say that maybe she needed to try and be ridiculous in an odd but interesting metaphor that he agreed with. He did wince slightly as he expected Eira to blow up at her though for speaking up.

He looked to peter who was offering Freya some ointment and cold patch for a sprain. But nothing for getting salt out of the wound. adding his own two cents before moving back to sit down. He looked back to his bag. He didn't have anything to wipe Freya's hand or the water...except the shirt of his spare clothes he kept in his bag. He grabbed it and moved from his seat just as Peter added his last quip towards Eira.

Shaking his head he moved towards Freya, his usual liveliness now gone. Ignoring the main topic of conversation for now he looked at Freya."Sorry about that Freya, I should have picked up that salt packet. It was just one of my jokes of trying to nullify Abigail's quirk. He said softly.

allowing his spare shirt to unfold in his hand, he indicated with his hands that he wanted to rinse her hand."May I?" he asked with a small apologetic smile on his face. When she finally allowed him to, he used the hand that held his shirt to gently hold onto the back of her hand with her palm up. With a grimace of his own, he slowly poured water over it. The water washing the salt away from her wound, and spilling over her hand and onto his shirt in his. A small amount of the water fell onto the ground though.

Once he was sure the salt was gone, he capped the water and placed it in the seat Eira was sitting in. Then taking the dry part of his shirt to dab and dry her hand. "Hope that's better. I apologize again for being an idiot. I didn't mean to literally rub salt into your wounds. " He said before releasing her hand. Quickly kneeling down in front of her he used his shirt to mop up the water and remaining salt that was on the ground.

Once finished He stood back up, bundling his now soaked shirt tightly into one hand. He then glanced at his water bottle, then to Eira as she knelt on he chair still. The glance only lasted a second, before he simply grabbed the bottle and moved out of Freya's way by moving into the seat oppoiste of Eira. Bowing his head and swinging his arm indicating he was allowing her to go first like a gentleman would.

Sofia Rousseau - Noctera

If keeping her senses about her wasn't such a high priority at the moment, Sofia probably would have taken greater lengths to tune everyone out. Yet as it happened, her head would peek up from behind the seats in front of her when Renard spoke to her. Being called out for being the outlier from time to time, even in a friendly way, wasn't completely new for her, but even so to his offer she would kinda awkwardly wave her hand in acknowledgement. "Thanks, but I am fine where I am... s-safety first," she replied with a finger tentatively scratching at her cheek. On some level, there was a good deal of sincerity under her noncommitted response, especially in light of how hectic things were getting, at least in her opinion.

Regardless, she honestly thought that would be the end of it for the time being, but was alarmed to see Freya come on board just to trip hand-first into a salt mound, Sofia gasping a little at the sight of it. Almost subconsciously, she found herself rushing out of her seat and down the aisle. "Oh mon, Freya are yo-...?!" Sofia frailly blurted out in a hurry before noticing Peter jump into action, clearly more prepared to handle things with a first aid kit of sorts. Slowly the hand she had outstretched began to slowly close and lower. Even if she could be of use, it wasn't like she was close enough for it to matter.

Quietly retreating back to her seat just in time to hear Peter take it upon himself to explain the necessity of heroes, Sofia sat back down and began gazing out the window. If this bus didn't get moving soon, she had half a mind to go to the support company herself. She could use the endurance training and it wasn't like she'd get lost with her phone on hand. For now though, she sought to conserve her strength while she could. For all she knew, she'd need to make a quick escape once Abigail's hero-worthy quirk leads to a worse accident.

Freya Leander ~ Cait Sith

~ Collab with @Heartfillia ~

@Aviaire @Zaphander @Mangrale @Nyahahameha

Although Freya tried not to show it, she cringed inwardly at Eira's words. "Ehh, just asking," she mumbled. This was just how Eira was. Ever the ice queen. Plus, Freya couldn't exactly blame her for getting snappy, given how the training had gone. Even so, the 'ridiculous' comment stung worse than the salt, so much so that it actually surprised her when several people showed concern.

Right away, Peter presented her with a cold compress and some ointment, presumably for any bruises or sprains. "I'll be alright," she said, glancing from him to the equally shocked Sofia. "It's just my claws. They got messed up earlier, but they grow back pretty fast."

Turning to Renard, who'd abandoned his usual jokey demeanour, Freya gave a soft sigh but decided not to grumble at him. His regret was clear, especially when he offered to help. Holding out her hand, she let him clean away the salt with water. Unfortunately, such an injury was difficult to treat without making a mess. The water flowed over her fingertips, splashing on the floor.

Grimacing, Freya cast her eyes towards the puddle. "Thanks, and it's ok, but we might want to do something about that water. There's been enough bad luck going on already." Before she could take anything from her bag to mop it up, though, Renard was already on it, cleaning the spillage and the salt with his spare shirt.

Exhaling in relief, she headed to a window seat once Renard let her past. "And yep, Gabby's got the right idea," she said to everyone before sitting down. "Seriously, throwing all that at us at once, did they really expect us to breeze through right off the bat?" Resting her elbow on the window frame, she leaned her head against her good hand. She'd never expected hero work to be all that easy, but surely even Sphinx would struggle with every kind of chaos sweeping through the city at the same time... wouldn't she?

Her gaze drifted from the scenery outside to Renard. "Come on over if you want," she called, hoping it would ease his guilt. She knew what it was like to feel like crap over mistakes. She'd messed up worse than anyone, and yet people were being sympathetic, helpful even? Sure it was nice, but not exactly something she knew how to deal with.

Renard moved out of the seat and to the front of the bus, leaning out of the door while holding onto the frame, He looked around to make sure no one was right there and snapped his shirt really quickly to remove the salt before pulling himself back in as Freya finished with what she said, then offered to for him to sit with her.

The way she said it seemed, odd. As if it was almost out of pity. He hesitated for a moment, She did sit literally one seat in front of his. He shrugged. coming to a stop at her seat and reaching over the back to lay his wet shirt over his bag, and slip his water bottle inside. "Who am I to say no?" He said with a small smile.

He turned and slid down the chair into a sitting position next to Freya.I doubt they expected everyone to breeze through it. Hell, I'm sure they did it to show how every single one of us has much to learn. To think they would expect us to all work together and get everything right the first time is ridiculous.

As Renard hesitated, worries crept in on Freya. Maybe his uncertainty was out of guilt, or maybe she'd just made the situation even more awkward. She hadn't meant to sound patronising, if that was how he'd construed her offer. She'd just meant to show she wasn't mad at him. To her relief, Renard smiled and took a seat next to her. Chill out, she told herself, no need to assume you've screwed up all the damn time. Some day, she might actually believe that, although proof of it would help.

At her friend's response, she nodded. "Yeah, but still, they could have gone easier on us," she muttered. "Both during and after the training. Was that kind of lecture really called for?" Even if the lesson had been meant as constructive, a test of everyone's limits for the purpose of surpassing them, it reminded Freya of having the bar set too high just to be told she couldn't reach it.

She shrugged. "Oh well. Like I'm gonna let it get to me."

"Sorry if the academy went too hard on you, Mr. Sparks and Miss Leander. Next time, I'll be sure to lower society's expectations of what a hero is so that we can tone down the practices."

Mr. Hayes said...standing a few steps passed where the duo were sitting at the front of the bus. As if appearing out of thin air, the teacher was standing halfway across the bus, now turning to face the seat where the two young heroes he was addressing were sat at. Someone, no one had seen or heard him come onto the bus up until he seemingly began to speak. His tired eyes went from the duo to the rest of the class as he began to make his way to the very back, a sigh before adding; "Do not anguish over the expectations of the Academy - set your own. Beat those expectations everyday, and you will never disappoint yourself or those you are meant to save. Or Me." As usual, Hayes was cold on the delivery, but these were his words of encouragements. To memory, he was never heard saying compliments straight out. They always came through some sort of sermon, or you had to dig really deep behind his words to find some. Maybe this was his way of saying that they indeed did not disappoint him, as long as they gave it their all? Who knows. "Miss Croft." he added from behind, while everyone was still silent after he spoke up "Dare I suggest you turn off this Quirk of yours while on the bus, Hmm? And for the greater benefits of your friends."

As soon as everyone would be on the bus, the class would make their way across the city to their destination. Unknown to them, they were not the only ones...

Noxious eyes went to Dean "If Enterprise - or any other Pro Heroes - shows up, the plan remains unchanged. Our goal is always to go in, steal equipment and shuts down the facility efficiently and permanently."

Quinn seemed to be...nonchalant. At least compared to the others. She might be a boon to have in order to keep this team from each other's throats. Then again, anyone could hide the personality of a psychopath, so who knew for sure? Now, if Noxious was flustered or angered by Sana's comment, once again it was not shown in her eyes. She would address this not in words, but in actions. As for Jack - she was here for her fighting potential. Still young, this was almost about mentoring her. Judging by her answer, there was no big push needed for her to pick a side, though.

After Ryan spoke up, it was Noxious' turn. "Real name's Araraki Kaori - I give it freely since it is not attached to anything, anymore. Known in the profession as Noxious and I've mostly acted as a hitman up until now.

The heroes of today are corrupt - a far cry from what ideal they were supposed to reflect originally. Today, it's all about the Spotlight. They say they hunt villains, but we all know they are only interested in that light shining down on them - along with it's glory and wealth of course. I am after those that hold the light and promotes false heroism to the profit of no one but themselves."

Once more, a detailed plan of the factory they were to attack was displayed on the screen.

"Enough of that. The plan is simple.

Corvus, you will send out scouts ahead of us. You'll use your birds to spot out the main machinery room and find out what type of problems we might encounter on our way in and out.

Jack the Ripper, Sharksman and me will serve as a distraction to anything or anyone that might try to stop us. We already know the location of their main warehouse - this is where we will head. A team is waiting nearby with a truck. Once we blow out the walls to the warehouse and the outer fence, they'll swoop in and starts loading the truck with the gear for reselling.

Anarchy Red and Animus, you two will be in charge of setting up explosives and disabling the facility. As soon as we reach destination, Corvus will provide you with the correct location and you'll head there ASAP. Once your work is done, you will report it back to me and we will disengage.

Got it? Once everything is done, we get out of there. No point is seeking prolonged engagement for now. Now if you all accept and are ready, a Helicopter is waiting for us on the roof."

Noxious made her way to the back of the room, opening a door leading to some staircases that led straight up to the roof. If any of them had second guesses, they were free to leave - if not, this first mission was the perfect occasion to make a better idea for themselves of what was to come. On the roof, there was already someone waiting for them. A Pilot with the most plain of looks, if not for his one interesting Quirk - making everything he remained in contact with invisible.

This is how the group made it's way to the place. The factory was some way outside of town, luckily, and they easily landed some way near it. The whole team had been given the necessary gear for radio communications, and with Corvus having sent his Crows in for a preemptive look, they just had to wait before going in.

Well that was it then. While Dean did not expect the plan to unfold suddenly today, he definitely was not opposed to it. As he walked up the steps to the roof, and into the helicopter, he couldn't help feeling that he was stepping into a brave new chapter. Maybe this group would succeed in doing what so many noble villains had tried and failed to do in the past - bring about the end of hero society. But that was a leap. For now it was this mission.

The ride to the factory was short, but fairly boring and awkward. There weren't many words - everyone was thinking about their roles, he assumed. Dean somewhat regretted only bringing one crow now. But this was a city after all. There would be birds everywhere. So Dean didn't worry too much about a lack of spies available for this task ahead.

So, they touched down, everyone rushing into their respective positions. His mask back on, Dean fitted the communication device inside. His crow wouldn't go inside - it was too big and too valuable. Instead, Dean recruited three wrens from a nearby tree, small birds who could fit in easily to small holes. He made sure he was tucked away - He can't sense from his own body when taking over the senses of a bird - before sending them in.

"Right then. It's rather empty in here so far. I certainly don't see any armed guards. Just a few workers. Security in this place is definitely lax, I don't forsee much issue on that front. Alright, this is it I think. There's a large metal door here. There's a keypad to enter, so you'll have to get past that. Let me just wait for someone to go in or out.

A brief pause. A worker soon came and opened the door, the tiny bird slipping in behind it.

"This is indeed the machine room. There are a couple of security guards in here, it seems, but none of them are armed. That door my wren just slipped through seems to be the only door. So, in conclusion then - there are no armed guards in the halls. The machine room door is the eighth on the left. There's a keypad to enter and security guards inside. That is all."

And then that was done. Dean regained his senses and sighed, leaning back to let the others do their thing. But, just as a final precaution, Dean sent a wren out to check the perimeter. As it flew overhead, it spotted something in the almost empty parking lot. A bus. He wants pretty sure he didn't notice that before. The bird flew into the closest tree, and Dean quickly noticed the U.S.J logo on the side. Oh dear. And what's more, inside he could see the long blonde hair of Enterprise. Students stood up to get off - a boy with equally bright blonde hair, what appeared to be a moth, a very muscular hispanic and many more.

"Everyone, there has been a very unexpected new development. A bus has just pulled into the parking lot here. A U.S.J bus. Filled with students... And Enterprise.

If anyone bothered to check, they would notice that Abigail wasn't even paying attention to the commotion happening around her. In fact, the orange-haired girl was... napping? At least it looked like that as her head was rested against the window of the bus, with eyes closed, and her chest heaving softly.

She probably had been like this for a little while, considering her lack of replies to anyone so far. Thus, it was no surprise when she didn't even budge after their teacher's request. In fact, she probably haven't heard it all, considering that Abigail never took her phones off, ever since the training was finished.

Nevertheless, the hubbub would end up dying sooner rather than later, as it wouldn't take long for Enterprise to come in, along with their driver.

The ride to the support company wouldn't be a long either. Or it shouldn't have been, if not for a couple of unforeseen traffic jams, that extended the half hour trip to almost double that time. All the while as they did so, Enterprise entertained everyone with some random trivia and pro hero stories. Some of them particularly close to being tall stories, but anyone that knew Enterprise for a time would be aware that overexcitement was only natural of her.

Either way, as soon as the bus was parked, the blonde heroine distributed a visitor's pass for each of the students. Before any of them could disembark, however, she said, "Very well then, everyone. Listen to me for a little bit more. We are going to divide ourselves into two separate groups."

Abigail, Blair, Danielle, Eira, and Freya. You are going to be under Mr. Hayes' charge. I hope you ladies don't give him too much trouble, alright?"
Enterprise winked as she said this last part.

"Gabriella, Jane, Peter, Phoebe, Renard, and Sofia. You are coming with me."

"Be sure you have everything you need with you. As soon as you are ready, we'll get going," Enterprise finally added as she stepped aside to let the students disembark and get ready for their trip.

Eira Winters | Antarctica

Eira could appreciate people who were willing to speak up. The key word there was 'could', because she did not. At the very least, she could give it to Gabby for doing a little more than a pun that transcended the very definition of awful, which was, unfortunately, what followed immediately after. She did not respond at first, just sitting there and watching as they treated Freya, not missing the way Renard winced after Gabby spoke. Concerned for her wellbeing, of course. The wellbeing that could only be threatened by only one person – Eira. Thinks that I'm gonna fucking insult her or something when I haven't even started speaking. Bastard.

This was, of course, a reasonable assumption, given Eira's current mood and her usual attitude to just about everything. But the ins and outs of her mind are like no other, and it annoyed her greatly, which was unsurprising. She didn't mention it though, instead giving him a brief disapproving look.

“Not sure what food you're eating, but if you're pouring a truckload of spice all over it, you'll fucking die. My point still stands. I'd like the rest of the day to go smoothly, and if you keep pouring more variety on it – I don't see how getting literal salt in a wound is variety, for the record – it has consequences. Bad ones. And Peter – there's enough chaos in this damn world without you lot making any more. Stop pretending your puns are funny, by the way, because they're shit.”

With that, she was done with this line of conversation. She was done with all conversation for the time being. Hayes said some stuff, which was vaguely motivating, Enterprise came in, and they set off. On the bus, Eira couldn't help but be enthralled by her stories. What could she say, she liked heroes. Anyone who looked close enough for long enough would see a slight smile form on Eira's face. You'd have to be pretty damn creepy to be staring at her for that long, though. Not to mention, her classmates had better things to do than look at her, and so she let herself relax a bit. A very, very small bit.

The support company looked like, well, a factory. She didn't really expect anything else. Eira was a little excited to go in, though she did not show it. Nothing like a field trip to break up the bores of daily school life. After Freya's hand incident, nothing particularly chaotic happened. The trip was extended due to traffic, but Eira wasn't about to complain about hearing hero stories from Enterprise herself. Her mood had improved, at the very least.

The group she was put in was good enough, she supposed. Eira didn't have any problem with any of the girls she was with, though she couldn't really tell what they thought of her. That, however, was neither her problem nor her business, so she didn't really care. Hayes wasn't too bad either, if not in dire need of a nap. He did his job. Could use some work on his motivation speeches, but she couldn't really talk.

When Eira stepped off of the bus, she absent-mindedly took note of some birds overhead. Cute. I think I'd like to fly away too. Well, that was all the thoughts she had to spare for them. After all, there was a reason she was here, and she had a support company to visit. Besides, the birds probably just go off to where ever there was more food in a few minutes. A blissful bird life, how she envied them.

Gabby's smile disappeared hearing Eira's retort, disappointed at having failed to convince her to not be so negative. She wasn't even wrong, per se - it was definitely not ideal to people to be getting hurt at every possible turn. Gabby just wished she looked at the bigger picture and see how her attitude wasn't helpful if things did go wrong.

Still, she hadn't snapped back at her or anything, which Gabby supposed was as good a result as she could expect from the oft grumpy young woman. It would be a waste of energy to debate her any further if she was intent on having a sour mood, so Gabby stayed silent and turned to face forward in her seat. The next moment, Mr. Hayes was standing in the aisle a few feet behind her, addressing Renard and Freya's complaints regarding the practice exercise. She couldn't resist the smirk that made its way to her face as juvenile thoughts played in her head: You got in trou-ble, you got in trou-ble.

With a sharp exhale she pushed that voice back to the rear of her mind where it belonged, allowing her to focus on Mr. Hayes words of encouragement. Set her own expectations, he said, and make sure to surpass them every day. Gabby nodded her head as a more adult smile stretched her lips. That was advice she could get behind, no questions asked. Though, she had a feeling not all of her classmates would feel the same way. Not because they weren't trying, no, but because she was sure they saw Mr. Hayes as harsh and distant. They might be paying attention less to his words and more to how he said them.

Not long after that, their principal, as well as the bus' driver boarded, and they were on their way. Enterprise, despite her corporate and, frankly, capitalistic-sounding hero name, was a beacon of warmth and enthusism. Sitting so close to the front of the bus, Gabby couldn't help but find her attitude infectious, especially considering how starkly it contrasted both Eira and Mr. Hayes. As Enterprise went into stories of her work as a professional hero, Gabby wore a wide grin. It was almost as good as watching lucha libre matches on tv with her grandpas! Gabriella only wished she could have done a little audience participation - every time Enterprise reached the high point of a story where the day was in the process of being saved, Gabby wanted to cheer, and each low point made her want to shout words of encouragement. She resisted those urges, both to avoid interrupting the story, and to avoid embarrassing herself.

Upon reaching the factory, Enterprise split them into two groups. Gabby tilted her head in contemplation, realizing that the groups were split by arranging everyones's names in alphabetical order then splitting them down the middle. That meant one group had her, Peter, Renard, and Sophia all together, and the other group with, comparatively speaking, frailer-bodied heroes, which seemed imbalanced to her. Wait, why does that matter? This is not training anymore, is just a field trip. Gabby is so silly.

Shaking those thoughts out of her head, Gabby threaded her arms through the straps of her backpack and stood up, but was sure to let her classmates go ahead of her before stepping into the aisle and off of the bus.

Noxious, their fearless leader, began explaining her goals and what the point of their League was. Once she was finished, Jackie took her pen and paper again to scribble some notes on the matter. Well, maybe a little more than notes because soon she turned the paper back for all to see. Her earlier sentence of an introduction was crossed off with words written beneath it. Sadly, pens couldn’t exactly erase so she had to work with what she had.

“Oh, so you’re like that Stain guy in Japan? I think I can get behind that.”

Truth be told, her own carefree goals may not have lined up perfectly with Noxious’ ideal League. But then again, the head villain wasn’t in a position to deny anyone their expertise or Quirk power now was she. Once she had been given her role, Jackie nodded along in understanding. Distraction was fine enough since that meant she could rip as many people as she wanted without thinking too much about it.

And she would be working with Sharkman and Noxious herself so that was something to look forward to. Jackie looked at them even now before shrugging and heading off to where Noxious directed them. Who knew Alcatraz had a stable enough roof to house helicopters? Regardless, Jackie settled in her seat and awaited the short trip to the supply factory. Landing and departing, she once again shrugged at Sharkman and their leader before stalking in the darkness of the factory’s interiors.

Noxious had said they were the distraction crew but she never said how she wanted that to go about. There was hardly anything to do around here anyway-well, well. Jackie listened to Corvus’ voice on the radio with renowned interest. She’d have liked to ask Noxious how she expected her to use it since she didn’t talk, but Corvus’ relayed information was much more interesting to her.

Students from the USJ? And they had Enterprise with her…what were the odds? Much too perfect in Jackie’s opinion but at least the students held the means to a perfect distraction. Stalking through the halls and giving the few unarmed guards she came across a good scare with her chainsaw, Jackie could feel her Quirk tightening around her body and bolstering her power…

With increased agility and stamina, she leapt forward and crashed down a few feet behind the front doors of the factory, hoping people heard it. There she would wait, ready to encounter the first group to walk in. She made sure to stand partly in the shadows for better lightning, chainsaw held at the ready. Her eyes gleamed slightly, and it may have been obvious Jack the Ripper was grinning behind her mask.

When Freya asked if they could have gone easier for the training, and the lecture, He shrugged, about to answer that he didn’t mind the training just the fact that Hayes was too hard on them for just throwing them into to it.

But before he could answer Renard jerked his head back as suddenly Mr. Hayes started talking to him. No matter how many times he’s done that before, it’s something Renard though he would never get used to. He looked up at the teacher in the eyes as he again started with a tiny lecture. Narrowing his eyes, not afraid for the teacher to see it.

He shook his head after the teacher was done rolling his eyes. Literally not what he said, But like the teacher to not really pay attention where his lectures really needed to be pointed towards. Renard was not known to have an irritated look, mostly only when dealing with Mr. Hayes.

To be honest, his mood wasn’t all from Hayes, but the constant disappointed and annoyed look from eira was really grating at him. Didn’t matter what he did she was always annoyed with him, or yelling at others. If anyone needed a lecture it was her, why the fuck was she even here if she was going to be constantly snapping at her teammates.

He of course didn't say anything. He didn’t blow up in front of anyone. He simply took a deep breath as the principle came onto the bus. All he knew of her was she was a top hero, who was constantly eating due to her quirk. She decided to tell the students stories of other heros and her own exploits with them. Everyone was fawning over her it seemed. He could even tell Eira was glued to her every word.

He on the other hand closed his eyes and continued to train on his quirk, condensing, and shifting the energy to different parts of his body. It was one of the ways his father and mother taught him to control it so he didn’t shock anything he touched. So he could go days without wearing his gloves.

This was something he always did during long boring lectures, to help keep him awake and focused. Despite what others thought, he was actually a fairly good student. Despite his constant joking around.

Getting off the bus, he stretched his arms and twisted his back till a loud pop came from his lower back. He let out a satisfied sigh as the tension released in his lower back and he lowered his arms looking around the facility. It wasn’t anything to be impressed about honestly. But he was excited to see what was inside.

He looked back as the other students finished filing off the bus. He was slightly annoyed that he wasn't with Freya, whom he spoke to more on the bus., and quite enjoyed it. He found it odd they were being split into groups but he didn’t think too much on it.He glanced around to see some wren sitting not too far… He narrowed his eyes as if the bird was somehow suspicious. But then he suddenly said softly
”Man I could go for some chicken right now... as his stomach growled.

His thoughts were interrupted as he heard a loud crash. At least he thought he did. It seemed close. Yet at the same time far away as if muffled. Being in an industrial part of town, things tended to bang around. He looked around and didn’t see anything right away. He looked towards Freya and asked. Did you hear that?”

Quinn Leiurus || Anarchy Red

Much to her surprise, her ridiculous idea of having everyone introduce themselves was an actual success. Well, it wasn't a very difficult thing. It was mostly just having the cognitive and respectfulness of a kid who just entered junior high. Her opinions of people didn't really change. Sanimus was all business. Competency was the name of the game. Did you get competence when you were a rag-tag group of criminals? Considering how all of them were technically in prison, probably not. She was pretty big on meritocracy, or whatever ocracy involved just being actually strong. Still though, her interests aligned with Quinn's decently which was nice.

Jackie was just weird and sad, so Quinn mentally blocked out the fact that the girl refused to speak. At this point, it wasn't even funny anymore. Quinn just felt bad for her.

Sharkman was hilarious. He was manic and called himself shark twink. Oh man, was that going to stick. Career criminal and general murderer. He was just in it for the money which... made it easy?

Old Man Corvus shared the ideal of society being ran by power. Besides that, he was just a dude with a bird fetish. Not really much changed about her initial impression about him.

Their fearless leader introduced herself. Hitman, team leader, and hating the hypocrisy of heroes. Well, she was a leader. She told the plan. Basic stuff. Scouts from the dandy, Jackie and Sharkman would act as a distraction, and she and Animus would be on the demolition team. It was a prospect that made Jackie practically salivate. Explosives were fun as shit, even with the chance that they blow off a few fingers. Without any further waiting, Quinn entered the helicopter alongside her newfound teammates.

Still, it was nice to just get to know people.

While going into a plan at such a rate was risky, Quinn was down. As the helicopter touched down, and everyone acting as efficiently as they could, Quinn left helicopter with the radio communicator in her ear and two bags of explosives around her hips. She could have let Sana hold one. Emphasis on could. It was really a question of should. Should the person who is able to create fire hold enough explosives to open a whole in solid concrete walls? Probably not. For the sake of her own safety, she would carry the explosives.

Corvus did his thing and detailed everything for them. The one thing that was interesting was a class of USJ students and... their foe. The figurehead of All Might: Enterprise. She was here. That complicated things.

"Feel like going all sneaky beaky like? I don't feel like inciting the wrath of Enterprise just yet."

Quinn unfurled her stinger and nonchalantly waltzed towards the facility. The building was incredibly easy to enter. They actually left the vehicle bays open. Corvus was right, security was lax. There wasn't anything too impressive about the facility. It was a pretty standard factory. Though, the building was built a bit better than most. Probably because it contained so much specialized equipment, Quinn had thought. Well, no real point in dwelling on the little things. Eighth door on the left, a few workers outside, security guards inside.

Well, easy enough.

Quinn continued her uncaring walk towards the machine room as she walked with the sounds of machinery and tools as cover. Really, were it not for the fact that she was in full villain garb, she would have blended right in with the low-paid factory workers. The unlucky few who she got close enough in which their attention had turned from their work to Quinn had been met with a quick flurry of stabs from Quinn's stinger. A simple one, two, three all within half of a second, they quickly dropped to the ground. The workers still drew breath, but they remained unable to move their bodies as their eyes failed to focus and their drool dripping out.

Once they reached the eighth door on the left, it was just a matter of entering the machine room, shuting down the power, then dashing to the warehouse to setup the explosives. Easy-peasy. Carefully looking at the keypad, it was obviously apparent that it was incredibly easy to get in. Quinn wasn't exactly a master of electronics, but it was simple enough to figure out the code. The eight was the most worn, followed by the four, then two, and lastly seven. The code was just 8427. With a disappointed shake of the head, Quinn turned to Sana.

"So once this door opens, we're pretty much rushing a bunch of goons."

Freya Leander ~ Cait Sith

@SimpleWriter @KoL @Heartfillia

Some people who looked Freya's way might think Renard had accidentally shocked her. With a mewl of surprise and a twitching jump in her seat, she stared at Mr Hayes, eyes wide as they could be. Of course, anyone who knew her well enough would know this was just her natural startled reaction.

She hunched her shoulders as the teacher continued his lecture. Maybe he meant to be encouraging, but one keyword stuck in Freya's mind: Disappoint. A word she'd heard all too often. She thought back to the many robots left stuck in the cars. Would she be able to save real people in that situation, or would she let them down big time?

She sighed, head drooping, as Mr Hayes strode to the back. "Sorry for that," she muttered to Renard, who hadn't said anything to warrant getting in trouble along with her. Trying to push the comments from the teacher and from Eira to the back of her mind, she looked up at Enterprise. No more screw-ups, she told herself. Especially not in front of the principal.

Leaning against the window frame again as the bus moved, she took in Enterprise's stories, at first anyway. It wasn't long before they began to sound just a little exaggerated. Sure they were admirable, but was the director trying to inspire the class, or was she just bragging about being No.1 hero? At least she'd been a great deal less critical than Mr Hayes. Reason enough, Freya supposed, to give her the benefit of the doubt. Maybe the thought of having to reach such dizzying heights was part of the issue.

She was just dozing off when the bus pulled up. With a sleepy groan, she stretched and headed outside, suppressing a sigh upon hearing she was to group up with Abigail and Eira, under Mr Hayes' scrutiny no less. Naturally, the people she got along with would be in a separate team. She started on her way towards Mr Hayes' group when something caught her attention. A little wren in a tree. She fixed her gaze on it, muscles tensing as if she were preparing to pounce. Not that she was about to go around chasing birds just because she could, but at least the sight had livened her up. Turning away, she focused instead on Renard's words.

"Chicken? I don't have any of that, but I did bring some crispy seafood snacks, if you..." A crash rang from the factory, interrupting her offer. "Ooo-kay..." She glanced over at the building. "Let's hope that was machinery and not yet another disaster." Although just joking, she couldn't help wondering what else could go wrong today.

Ryan "Sharkman" Jacobs

After piling into the helicopter, Ryan had closed his eyes and lain back in his seat. None of the others seemed intent on talking, and indeed, he too felt butterflies in his stomache. For him, they were from excitement. Upon exiting the helicopter, he closed his eyes, extending his electrorecption. Every living thing within about a block of him appeared as a point of light. The warehouse glimmered to life with the wires that extended through it, effectively giving him a 3D map.

"I'll run interference." He murmured into the radio, his voice slightly nasally, as if his nose was plugged. Shortly after Jackie burst in, the sound of a window shattering echoed through the building, followed by a sickening CRUNCH. One of the guards was at his feet, neatly cut into two pieces among an expanding pool of blood. Ryan knelt down, perched upon the man's back to keep his feet out of the lake of blood. He dipped his finger into his pockets, pulling out a keyring.

Ryan hopped over the lake he had created, careful to avoid leaving footprints as he headed for the basement. The wires extended like veins towards a single point in the building: The circuit breaker. Sharkman opened the panel, and the lights in the building flickered, then died. For good measure, he unraveled the cloth around the giant pair of scissors at his back, then rammed one of the blades through the controls, rendering them unusable.

"I'm on my way up." His voice said over the radio. While he was normally laid back, he was suddenly all business. He stalked through the hallways of the factory, heading for Jackie's location. In the gloom, he could perfectly see the guards, leaving anyone in his way as an easy target.

As Peter sat back down he just listened to everyone's conversation, putting his first aid kit away. A lot of whinging about today's exercise. Yeah he didn't agree with what Mr. Hayes thought about Peter stealing the bus, but it's not as if he was wrong either. Frankly being a hero isn't suppose to be easy. Like he thought before, cops can take care of your typical robber or thief even if they were using quirks to do their crimes. A hero needs to be able to deal with more dangerous, less predictable stuff. "We get better with practice. That's all there is to it really. If we only do things at our level we'll never go beyond." Eira didn't really like Peter's joke, but that was expected. Once the teachers arrived and the bus took off Peter snoozed for most of the ride, sleeping as hard as a rock before they eventually came to their stop.

As one of the students in the back it took some time for Peter to get off. When he did a shiver went up his spine. His clothing, though thick, weren't very warm and didn't cover him completely. It was a sunny day too; maybe it was Abby's quirk working up a bad feeling? Peter shook his head at the thought. "No. I can't just keep blaming Abby for every bad thing that happens. If I'm being more observant even I can avoid bad luck." Peter looked around the facility. He had kind of expected a hero costume factory to look more... Unique. Like a laboratory or something. But he supposed it only makes sense that behind the flash and glamour of heroism those who support them would stick to practical, utilitarian designs. Hopefully the inside looks more interesting.

Once everyone was out they were split up into two groups. Peter was with Enterprise, Gabriella, Jane, Phoebe, Renard, and Sofia. If he had to guess, Peter figured the group was split based off names. Yawning Peter joined his group, hearing Renard mention something to Freya about a noise. Peter vaguely heard a clanging sound but just figured it was factory noise, perhaps it was a steam press or something. Either way he went up to Enterprise, ready to go. "So where are we heading first?" As Peter said this, he noticed lights flickering from one of the factory windows. Normally not something he would've thought much of except how erratic it was before going dark. "Huh. Looks like they had a power outage."

Sofia Rousseau - Noctera

| @KoL |

"Mixed messages" were the words swirling around in Sofia's head as Mr. Hayes addressed the class. Will the value of exceeding one's own expectations be on an upcoming test. There are certain expectations that came with institutions like the USJ, the kind that can't so easily be set aside for the sake of her own comfort. The concept of "people one is meant to save" sounded particularly rich, especially regarding an industry that relied almost entirely on intention, circumstance and capability. There was nothing so romantic at play.

And yet the technical truth of the matter didn't in any way dampen her giddy exuberance as she listened in on Enterprise regaling everyone with delightfully embellished anecdotes in between bits of trivia, a good amount of which she herself knew of beforehand. Sofia was very literally at the edge of her seat throughout it all, her silent captivation all that less bit subtle considering how she was near the back of the bus and fairly certain no one was looking her way.

Being one of the last to step off the bus, no one could have guessed how over the moon she was at being the last in a lineup. It was bound to pay off one of these days. Alphabetically the farthest away from Abigail and now in a group led by Enterprise herself. It could scarcely get any better than that. She felt so good, not even the weird feeling of being watched she got from that pudgy bird could spoil it. The seemingly random and muffled crash from behind the front doors did strike her as odd however. An accident so close to the front of the building wasn't totally unheard of though, but then again she would have assumed such accidents would tend to occur after, not before the lights go out...

"That is... not supposed to happen, is it?" she asked aloud, sounding more sincere than she rightly should have before stopping in her tracks behind Freya and Renard to get a better look. Something peculiar was happening, and like most teenagers that comes in contact with something mildly interesting, she dug into her bag and picked out her phone to start recording the scene. After taking a few steps away from the others, her phone's screen glared under the afternoon sun before she held it steady in view of the facilty's higher windows. "... The first field trip of the year is not going how I imagined it. The power seems to be off and some of us heard a crash near the door."

Aside from just passing the view over the entrance for a few seconds, she was stuck on what to do from there until the next logical step finally came to her. Approaching Enterprise with all the professionalism of a star-struck rookie cameraman, Sofia turned her phone to her. "Pro-hero Ent-Uh, I mean P-Principal Washington? Wh-What do you make of this? Should we um, in-investigate, b-because we or I could call ahead or call something o-or...?" Yeah it pretty clear that the moment was kinda getting away from her, but that didn't change the fact that she sought the heroine's leadership first and foremost. And for what it was worth, Sofia was doing her darnedest to record her from a heroic angle.

It wouldn't take any time at all for Abigail to "wake up" once they reached their destination. Even heroes needed rest, but that didn't mean that they should rest more than they needed to, after all. She quickly got the gist of everything that was happening and got out of the bus, joining Mr. Hayes' group.

"I hope it's not too salty. Too sodium is bad for you," Abigail said when Renard commented about chicken, even though she didn't care enough to notice any of the strangely conspicuous birds the others did. Instead, she just checked her watch and let out another enigmatic smile just about the time the factory went dark.

"Well, I guess that even heroes can forget to pay the power bills on time, can't they?"

"Don't worry, I'm sure nothing out of the ordinary is happening. To say the truth, on a normal day, this place is quite a lot more hectic. It's not abnormal to hear an explosion or two rocking the area for example," Enterprise said to the students, after the number of worried expressions and questions following the small few incidents they noticed coming from the factory. "Support industries are... quite unique places to say the least. Plus, more than 90% of the personnel working here are robots, so really serious accidents are very rare," she added, letting out a big smile.

"Either way, I guess that it not too much to go there and check things out. If anything bad happens, you kids stick to me and Mr. Hayes, right? Don't go doing anything dangerous before you are done with your training."

"Now, if you are all ready, come with me!" she gestured her group of students forward right as the factory's auxiliary power came sparked to life.

Except the guides are nowhere to be seen... Mr.Hayes thought as he looked around at the empty-looking Factory. A few automated robots were indeed seen, moving about, in the distance of the factory ground but that was it. Normally, they were supposed to have been welcomed by some employee's - Enterprise knew it, she was only keeping the students under control. Mr.Hayes walked up from the back of the group, looking as if nothing was on his mind. A quick glance at his group to verify that everyone was there, and the group entered through the front doors.

The room was big enough, with a large desk for reception, a closed door leading to an office behind said desk, as well as three different corridors leading into the different parts of the facility. That the reception was empty was not a surprise. It most likely was automated or something, but even then someone should have shown up to invite them and show them around. "Odd. Let me go in the office and verify if they forgot about our..." Mr.Hayes could barely finish the sentence before someone came, almost running, out of one of the three corridors; a short looking man wearing a suit and a construction helmet. A tag with the name 'Robert' on it - he had all the looks of a Factory guide, whatever such a look was. "Sorry, sorry. I had to dispatch some people to verify this electricity failure - a common thing, I assure you! Nothing to worry about." he said, waving his hand as if waving the problem away. "Please, Mister uh...Hayes? You and your group can follow me through here - someone will come by shortly to..."

This time, the sentence was cut short by the very loud - and impossible to mistake - sound of an explosion coming from the north west part of the facility...

~5 Minutes earlier

Noxious followed Jackie and the rest into the facility after Corvus' report. For a time only, as she then went to where they all were supposed to have been headed. Sana and Anarchy seemed to have stuck to the plan, but Jackie and Sharkman rushed in with ideas of their own - she let them do as they pleased. They were meant to cause a distraction, after all. As for herself, the leader headed straight for the warehouse to carry out this part of the plan. Sticking to the plan, she had brought some explosive to destroy the back wall of the warehouse while the Sapping team headed deeper, to the Machines' room. With the charges planted and standing far enough; "Anarchy, Animus - focus on shutting down the facility. Once it's join, regroup with the others. I want this U.S.J rabble pinned down until our guys are done here." The whole team heard it, of course.

Then - she pressed the detonator, completely destroying the wall and outer fence as expected. Some truck then backed up into the now gaping whole and a dozen of thugs jumped off and begun to load in the crates and their contents into the truck. Some small time thugs, but useful and cheap labor. "I'm on my way."

Renard glanced over to Abigail as she remarked about how salt is bad for him. He smirked,”Good thing I got rid of my salt then huh?” before looking back to the building as Freya said was hoping another disaster wouldn’t happen. He narrowed his eyes slightly annoyed that the offer for some crispy snacks was cut off. Now he was really hungry. But he nodded in agreeance. ”Lets hope so... he cut off as he noticed the lights go out. Hearing peter say something about it just before Sofia asked if that was not supposed to happen as she stopped behind he and Freya.

Shaking his head, ”I don’t think so Sofia. “ He said softly looking back at her. She was looking up at the building when she suddenly dug into her bag, and grabbing her phone. Renard raised an eyebrow as she moved away and then pointed the phone towards the building, and started vlogging?”

He let out a single huff of a chuckle as he was brought back into the conversation at hand. Abigail mentioning maybe heros forgot to pay their bills as well. Renard blinked a few times as he groaned inwardly. Perhaps, but this isn’t a pro hero they were talking about. This was a company. Companies DON'T forget to pay their bills. Any moment they are shut down is like pouring money down the toilet.

As Sofia asked the principle what they should do next. He glanced back to towards her, as he heard her stutter quite a bit. Was she getting nervous or was she…. Star struck? Whatever it was it was cute. He suddenly spoke in French to her. ”Well I never thought proper lady like yourself would be flustered meeting with the principle.” He said with a small smile. Teasing her a bit with a wink. ’Didn’t realize you were a big fan.” he smirked even more at her reply, but when she huffed he grinned. Only revealing too clearly that this was his intended goal in teasing her.

He looked to Enterprise as she started to speak. She tried explaining the noise away, which only made him raise an eyebrow. While it’s true he guess for testing weapons, but even then they were in controlled spaces that couldn’t effect the building. She was acting like it was normal for a building to lose its power? Unless she was just saying that to keep them calm. At which he shrugged the thought off.

When they entered to find it empty he walked around some of the chairs that were there. Glancing into the back office to see it empty. He let out a ‘hmph’ as his lips scrunched into a confused frown. Something wasn’t adding up. If it was ‘normal’ where is everyone. He glanced to the teachers as Mr. Hayes spoke up calmly. But suddenly another man in a suit and hardhat bursted into the room. Quickly trying to apologize and explain away what was happening. Saying it was ‘common.’ Which caused Renard to pull his head back confused. If it was common, why was he running around? Wouldn’t there be someone on standby for that sort of thing?

He was about to bring it up when suddenly an explosion which surprised him and everyone else went off. He moved to the window to see for himself if he could see where it happen. He couldn’t. He quickly pulled off his blazer and tie, tossing them onto one of the chairs. As he did he looked to the ‘guide’ and said, ”I’m sure that's Common as well?

He started rolling up his sleeves as he moved towards the door which was in the rough direction the sound of the explosion came from. He stopped after he yanked the door open he looked back to the teachers. Jerking his head down the hall. ” Well what Are we waiting for? Lets get this tour started!”

Freya Leander ~ Cait Sith

@Mangrale @KoL @SimpleWriter @Heartfillia

As Sofia expressed concern about the noise, Freya shrugged. "Ehh, I was just kidding," she reassured her. "I doubt this is normally the quietest of places. It'll all be fine."

Just then, the windows went dark. Freya's eyebrows furrowed. "Ok, maybe all that isn't meant to be happening at once..." Thankfully, Sofia's worries seemed to fade as she dug out her phone and started filming. Freya relaxed, smiling a little. Whatever had happened, she hoped it could be easily fixed, and they could have an enjoyable day out after all.

Rolling her eyes at Abigail about that little salt comment - had she really found that incident amusing? - she turned to Enterprise, who promptly put everyone's minds at ease. When Sofia's excitement grew as she addressed the No.1 pro hero, so did Freya's smile, although a trace of unease shadowed her expression. Yes, Enterprise had quite a record of praiseworthy feats, and Freya knew how easy it was to idolise someone, but that was just it. Heroes were flawed just like anyone else. How many would the class meet during their training, and how many would show them a side other than their public image?

In fact, how many students would turn out not to be the people they seemed?

Which was why she considered following the second group. Peter, Sofia, Renard... Compared to some of her classmates, they gave off an approachable, genuine vibe. Even if she couldn't understand a word of Renard's comment to Sofia, it was nice to see people joking around. Instead of joining them, though, she traipsed after Mr Hayes. Another lecture from Sir Snarks-A-Lot would bring down the mood, and at least they'd all stick reasonably close by anyway.

Watching out for any trip hazards due to Abigail's proximity, she followed the group into the lobby. There, an unexpected sight met her eyes - namely, an empty room. "Well, this definitely isn't meant to happen," she commented, glancing over her shoulder at Renard and Sofia. She turned back round at frantic footsteps, followed by a hurried explanation from one of the workers. Ah well, these things couldn't be helped, Freya thought as she headed towards the guide, ready to start the tour...

An explosion roared through the factory. Freya leapt onto the desk, crouching and staring in the sound's direction. "Uhh, probably nothing, right?" she asked, looking up at Enterprise. If things blew up here all the time, with only other machines caught in the blasts, it most likely wasn't as bad as it sounded. Still, they had to check nobody was hurt. Enterprise and Hayes would know what to do.

Jumping down, she nodded and approached Renard, whose eagerness to begin the tour hadn't lessened any. "Yep, sounds like a plan," she replied, "though I hope everything really is ok..."

Peter could only raise an eyebrow as Enterprise said how normal it was for there to be explosions and such here. He suppose it made some sense; this place was where super hero suits were made after all. Have to test them against blasting and such. However when she mentioned most of the workers being robots, that just put Peter more on edge. He remembered reading how the new industrialization of robots in the workforce had allowed a much lax safety measures. After all, robots don't need to worry about being exposed to toxic chemicals or harmful radiation. And if this place casually had this sort of explosion and power out tage issue, it only made Peter wary. Like he'll have to suddenly be dodging explosions and shrapnel at a moment's notice. "Never a dull moment here I guess."

Joining the teachers and other students the tour barely started when another explosion rocked the area. It sounded like it came from outside instead of inside of the facility, as it left Peter's ears ringing. "Holy hell that was loud. What are they testing over there, tank bombs?" Wishing her had gotten some earplugs Peter pulled his mask over his eyes in case there was going to be any more surprises, perhaps a random flashbang or something. With all of theses random stuff going on Peter furrowed his brow. "Alright so this place isn't just a normal run of the mill clothing factory. Explosions, power outages, more robots than what's good for a company. I'd be super stupid if I just keep thinking this will be a simple tour. Keep your senses sharp Peter. Things are going to get weird." Naturally Renard was one of the first to go face first through the doors to see what's on the other side. Peter wasn't against this; if there was any danger that was going to come out and surprise them it'll hit Renard first. And that would give Peter a precious few seconds to react and counter accordingly.

"Don't lose your head Sparky."
